Big Brother 17: Nominations, Battle of the Block Show Blog Party - July 25

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party?

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Let's get this party started!

After the recap, Vanessa tells us that she had to win HoH once Jackie did as she would likely be one of Jackie's targets. Austin talks to Lizia about "Operation Jason." He thinks if he talks twins with Jason, they would be more of a target to Jason than he is. In the twin change, Liz and Julia talk about Austin. Neither seem to to be thrilled with him.

Jason is very suspicious over why Austin is telling him not only about the twins, but even Julia's name. Austin tells Jason he wants to split up the twins. He tells us he'd like to keep them together, but his heart only belongs to one of them. (Too bad it's not mutual!) He wants to be in jury with Liz.

Jason, using the info as ammo, tells Meg, then Shelli. She's upset that Austin let the twins cat out of the bag, thus betraying their 6th Sense Alliance. Of course, she doesn't tell Meg or Jason that. But she does run to Vanessa.

Cut to Vanessa and Jackie talking nominations. They give their words that they won't backdoor each other. Jackie mentions Liz on the block. And Steve. (Wah!) They both talk about getting rid of Austin. Jackie would like to be the one to stay HoH.

Who wants to see our HoH room? Nope, not me. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Vanessa corners Austin in a lie or lies about his talk with Jason. She told Austin never to lie to her.

Vanessa tells Julia about Austin's talk with Jason. Then she talks to Shelli about it. "He lied to my face!" Clay volunteers to go on the block with Becky while the other two nominees -- Liz and James -- are supposed to lose BoB. James agrees to throw it. Liz has no clue of the plan. Then they backdoor Austin.

She tells Austin the plan is to backdoor Steve. She explains away why she's putting Clay on the block.

Nominations Today! Jackie nominates James and Liz, but we knew that. Because each put her on the block. Vanessa nominates Clay and Becky. Try to be fair, game decision.

Vanessa confides in Julia and tells her Lizia isn't the target. During the twins switch-out, Julia won't tell her about the Austin wants Julia out bit.

Battle of the Block time -- they have to study the Memory Wall for a few minutes. It's former hamsters. Breaking news have them tossing paint to reveal letters. They have to unscramble names of three hamsters from last season seen eating at Outback. There's also a special award involved. Liz realizes she has to be the brains with her and James. James and Liz win the BotB despite the fact James threw it. Liz did it all. James doesn't seem too excited. James, Liz and Vanessa get a private Outback Steakhouse dinner. Jackie is dethroned.

Clay and Becky remain on the block. Shelli is worried about her boy toy.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Bulletin - BotB Kerflooey - July 24

Uh-oh. The best laid plans went awry.

James was supposed to throw the Battle of the Block. Liz, his fellow nominee didn't know that. They won it. Liz realized that James was throwing it. James is mad that he won and Austin is suspicious. Clay and Becky remain on the block, Vanessa remains HoH.

Damage control time. They have to convince Austin that Steve is the backdoor target. They don't want Austin to freak ahead of time or win PoV.

Big Brother 17: Nominations and Battle of the Block Show Blog Party - July 19

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party?

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Let's get this party started!

Recap and Girl Power in the house. Liz tells us they (the twins) only have to get through two more evictions to both play in the house. Austin is suspicious of the two hinky votes to keep Jeff. Liz tells Diary Room that she voted that way because she never made a connection with James.

Jason thinks he's alone in the game and they'll just keep throwing him on the block -- if he ends up going home, no one will care. He tells Audrey of the twins. Duh. She would be the only one in the world who wouldn't know.

HoH Room reveal. Shelli got photos of her dog. Her letter is from her dog. @@ Johnny Mac reads clues into Liz's letter from her mother.

They do the musical they actually did last week.

The HoH crew -- Austin, Vanessa, Clay, Lizia and Shelli -- talk about possible nominations. Jason, Audrey, Jackie and Becky are brought up as possibles. They think Audrey would have to be backdoored. Shelli isn't keen on that because, if Audrey doesn't go, it would look suspicious that both she and Vanessa kept her safe.

Jackie tries to buddy up with Austin and remove herself from being related to the ghost of Jeff. Austin hopes to make her a personal ally. She talks to Shelli. She tells her that Austin said Liz might put her up as a pawn. Not cool, Austin, says Shelli. Austin and Shelli both told Jackie she's safe from going home this week.

Shelli warns Vanessa that Austin has a big mouth.

Shelli has the nerve to tell us that if Liz remains HoH this week, Austin will run HoH. Pot, Clay, Kettle.

Clay asks Johnny Mac to pawn with Jason.

Audrey campaigns to Shelli to get Jason on the block and out of the house.

Nominations today. Liz nominates James and Jackie. No connection with them. Shelli nominates Jason and Johnny Mac. Her pool of people is small. Has been told Jason would come after her.

Liz tells Jackie she's not her target and will be safe.

Jason talks to Shelli. She tells him that the lies told about him that he would go after them came from Audrey. "I am all alone in a house full of serpents." She tells him she doesn't want to go home -- dethrone her.

The twins swap out.

Audrey thinks Jason is blaming her for his being on the block. Oops. She lies to Shelli. Not a good move.

Battle of the Block time! Grunge band theme. Alice is tied in chains, they must unlock the padlock and bring her to Nirvana. The location of the four keys reference Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam and such.

John did not throw it. Nonetheless, Jackie and James won the BotB. Liz is dethroned.

Jason, John and Liz have to form a boys band.

As a side note: There was a lot of action and kerfuffle in the house today. My live feeds report will be up in a few hours!

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Battle of the Block Bulletin - July 17

Jackie and James won the Battle of the Block. Liz is dethroned. Shelli (or, Chelli) remains the HoH with John and Jason on the block.

It was very messy. Jackie threw up. It was smelly, too.

There ya go.

Bug Brother 17: Nominations, Battle of the Block Show Blog Party - July 12

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party?

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

The show is actually starting on time despite golf. Recap time for the opening.

Austin vows that Judas is the HoH. Vanessa is thrilled that she and her ally Austin are the dual HoH ... for now. And the twins talk goes on. Lizia hopes to work with Vanessa for safety. Julia reveals herself to Vanessa. Of course, Vanessa wants to work with her supposed buddies, Chelli, and tells them about the twins.

Austin, the closest friend of the twins in the house, is dumbfounded that they're twins. They hope to keep them in for a six person alliance once both are allowed to play.

Meg thinks the target is sure to be Audrey. She doesn't want to be a pawn again. Jason too is sure Audrey will go. Jeff thinks it will be Audrey while James is worried that he might be in trouble.

Austin and Vanessa think that Jeff might be a better target.

Who wants to see my HoH room? False thrills.

The twins switch and Liz reenters the house to her new allies -- Austin,Vanessa, Shelli and Clay. Foolishly, they decide to try to keep fooling the rest of the house that there aren't twins. They already know! Sheesh.

Johnny Mac, a dentist by trade, notices that one twin has a crown on her number nine tooth. Jeff runs to Austin to tell him that rumor has it that Liz is a twin.

Austin thinks they should backdoor either James or Jeff. They discuss putting pawns up. They offer him a safety deal through to ten people. Of course, he's asked to throw the comp once again.

Nominations time! Austin wears his Judas hat. He nominates Meg and Jason. He says that Meg was called out by Da'Vonne and needs to prover herself, Jason save yourself. Bigger plan. Vanessa nominates James and John. James, a game move. Johnny Mac, crush the competition.

Meg is SO MAD. Poor pawnie gal. Austin talks to them both. He tells them that Audrey is the backdoor plan. Austin wears his Judas hat.

Battle of the Block time -- Gronk's Amazing Foam Party. The spectators have alcohol. They have to retrieve party people's clothes from a maze inside a huge pool of foam. Then they must match up the item to the person. James is doing so poorly that John really doesn't have to work at throwing it.

Meg and Jason win BoB, Austin is dethroned.

Big Brother 17: Battle of the Block, Nominations Blog Party - July 5

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party? As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there! I'll be posting another live feeds report late this evening (late East Coast, not necessarily late West Coast).

But, first ... an update on the blog pool (yay, ORKMommy)!

Audrey - David, Chase, Orkmommy, Nicole K
Austin - Petals, Tammy, marthalight, Dr_Celine
Becky - Glenn, Jackie, Indiana Jane, Brian
Clay - FairieGoddess0714, QuixoticElf, DonnaNY, JonMD1267
Da'Vonne - jessica UNderwood, SueGee, Ed in Ohio, Nickelpeed
James - uncartie, Marlo, Jackie~juju, ML
Jason - Witt, Sharon, WolfpackRed
John - Sasha, lynn1, clover
Liz - Skyriverblue, jo Chapman, monty924
Meg - Sharon S, Merrilee, MikesGirl
Shelli - Delee, Sharon N, chrob
Steve - KelseyNY, Carrie, K
Vanessa - Chacha, Heather Reyes, T-Town Chick

EVICTED
Jace - Becky in TX, CherylinNC, JOKATS, CaelaXO

The people who had Jace in the pool can rally for someone on their own or volunteer to cheer on Jackie or Jeff since they weren't revealed until after the pool was put together.

On with the show ...

Okay, the recap over with, we get the reactions of Becky and Shelli to their HOHdom. Audrey's lies and instigating are catching up to her. Will she be the main target for eviction? Vanessa was framed by her. The lies will catch up! Day calls a house meeting to expose Audrey. Audrey accuses all of them of being pathological.

Audrey's new strategy is to lie down and play dead.

Who wants to see our HOH room? I'd love it if everybody refrained some day.

Shelli and Beck discuss putting up four pawns with Audrey as a backdoor plan. They start talking to everybody ... but Audrey. Remember, she's playing dead. Clay and Jeff are more worried about Da'Vonne than they are about Audrey. Audrey comes back from the dead and pleads her case with Jeff, Meg and Clay. Shelli wants Becky to put up pawns who will throw the BotB so she can keep her nominations and HOHdom. They talk to John. She wants to put him up with Da'Vonne and throw the comp.

Filler: Becky tells the tale of being hit in the face by a train.

Nominations Today
Shelli nominates John and Da'Vonne. Day, because she doesn't trust her and needs to protect herself. She doesn't explain John.
Becky nominates Jason and Steve. Jason put her on the block, Steve a great guy but hasn't talked game.

Becky thinks the Audrey backdoor plan is still in action. It isn't. Shelli and Boy Toy Clay want Da'Vonne out.

Da'Vonne and Jason are sure that one of them is the target because they spoke up in the house.

Audrey asks Clay and Shelli if there is a Plan B if Steve or Jason throw the comp. Now Shelli's worried because she doesn't want Becky to know what the real plan is. John is worried a bit about throwing the comp, but he has no real allies in the game. That would gain him some.

Battle of the Block comp time! The yard is done up like a TV house set. It's a filming for Ginger Fever. Finding props on the set with cameras. It's called Give Me Props! Becky is still oblivious and that Audrey is going to be backdoored.

As John says, Da'Vonne's strategy which has them running all over the place, will throw it for herself.

Jason and Steve win the Battle of the Block!

Da'Vonne says she has to win the Power of Veto or she will go home.
Yup.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Friday - BotB, Veto Winners - July 3

Shelli and Boy Toy Clay

Yikes! What a whirlwind day! They had to wrap up everything because (as I understand) there's a big 4th of July celebration on the CBS lot and they have to be in indoor lockdown for that. So, here's what's been happening in that Big Brother House of Whirling Dervishes:
  • The house consensus is that Audrey needs to go.
  • As you know from my last update: Shelli nominated Da'Vonne and John, Becky nominated Steve and Jason.
  • The Battle of the Block went down (blocked to the live feeds).
  • Steve and Jason won the Battle of the Block and they are no longer on the block.
  • Becky lost her HOHship with that win by her nominees.
  • So, Shelli is the sole HoH and her nominees are Da'Vonne and John.
  • (At least they rhyme!)
  • Then the PoV comp happened.
  • Fish, fish, everywhere, fish today!
  • JOHN won the PoV.
  • He's sure to save himself.
  • I think.
  • He seems goofy, but I don't think he's stupid!
  • Will Audrey go up?
  • Hmm.
  • We'll see.

Jeff and Meg, not really a couple

John is a Have Not

Big Brother 17: Battle of the Block Show Blog Party - June 28

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Hey, there, fellow voyeurs! Later on tonight, I'll be posting the latest in live feeds including the PoV meeting results which won't surprise anyone who watches or follows the live feeds. But, right now it's time to blog party through the newest episode! I'm putting this post up on time. However, I think that the CBS programming might be running a few minutes late due to golf.

First, here's a reminder of the blog pool match-ups (thanks, ORKMommy!):

Audrey - David, Chase, Orkmommy, Nicole K
Austin - Petals, Tammy, marthalight, Dr_Celine
Becky - Glenn, Jackie, Indiana Jane, Brian
Clay - FairieGoddess0714, QuixoticElf, DonnaNY, JonMD1267
Da'Vonne - jessica UNderwood, SueGee, Ed in Ohio, Nickelpeed
Jace - Becky in TX, CherylinNC, JOKATS, CaelaXO
James - uncartie, Marlo, Jackie~juju, ML
Jason - Witt, Sharon, WolfpackRed
John - Sasha, lynn1, clover
Liz - Skyriverblue, jo Chapman, monty924
Meg - Sharon S, Merrilee, MikesGirl
Shelli - Delee, Sharon N, chrob
Steve - KelseyNY, Carrie, K
Vanessa - Chacha, Heather Reyes, T-Town Chick
I'll update this blog entry with the major happenings as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please stop on by!

Okay, a few minutes of recapping and we're finally into the show opening. They just showed the Phil teaser which ended Thursday's episode. All the hamsters are speculating what will be up for Da'Vonne and Vanessa.

Jace is going on about his bromance with Austin and their bro-codes.

The HoH Room reveal is for both James and Jason. Of course, it will be down to one HoH after the Battle of the Block. They chat. Jason doesn't care for Steve and doubts that John is really a dentist. James is a bit more quiet.

Takeover alert! It's Phil. He tells them of the Fast Forward in TAR -- now a BB Fast Forward Twist -- neither Vanessa nor Da'Vonne can be evicted this week. They can each take one houseguest with them, those people will be safe, too. They have thirty minutes to decide. Da'Vonne saves Liz while Vanessa saves Austin. Da'Vonne got some heat from both Audrey and Shelli because of their girls alliance.

Da'Vonne thinks that Shelli needs to be on the "edge" of the alliance because she's getting too close to Clay. Audrey wants to get in with Jason to better her chances. Da'Vonne and Audrey both want to work on the HOH's to get them on their side and target Jace.

Steve thinks he has an alliance with Da'Vonne. Not sure how that will play out. James and Jason tell Audrey she's safe. They told her they want an alliance with her and Da'Vonne. They plan to target Jace via the Backdoor.

James searches for pawns to put on the block and talks to Jackie. Jason does the same with John. They both talk to Meg. They talk to Steve -- Steve's afraid that he's a target. Steve knows the history of pawns sometimes going home. Poor Steve. He's being pressured.

Nominations Today is on the screen. The plan is for the Backdoor for sure. No key box again this year. I miss the key box. Jason nominates John and Becky. He gives a BS speech about strong competitors. James nominates Steve and Jackie, saying he's sure they'll get themselves off the block.

Audrey is glad everything worked out the way she planned it.

Volumes about Amanda, er, Audrey right there.

Battle of the Block time -- They're above the city of DuBoB, must build a new skyscraper by bringing 26 pieces across a beam and assembling it.

John and Becky win! James remains HoH and Jason is deposed.

Big Brother 16: Nominations and Battle of the Block Show Blog Party - August 17

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

Are you ready to partay? As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news! But, as all y'all know ... the real party is in the comments area. Come join us there! Oh. And, we're actually starting on time this week! Yay.

Recap, recap. Frankie's so excited. Squee! Caleb wants Donny or Victoria to go. Derrick wants neither of them out.

The cannibalism of the old Bomb Squad members begins. No one wants to be on the block. Derrick manages to save Victoria from being on the block with Frankie's approval. They know that Donny has to go up or the rest will revolt.

HoH Room reveal. Did you know Frankie's sister is famous?

Team America mission - we chose the hide the clothing, form neighborhood watch.

They have a meeting of the mindless. Frankie explains they don't want both Donny and Victoria on the block -- if one wins veto, both could end up safe. No one wants to volunteer to be on the block and throw it for a Donny stay on the block scenario. They decide to draw Skittles from a hat to decide who goes up.

Christine is drawn first to go against Donny and throw the comp. She's not happy. Cody and Caleb are then picked (to be the winning team). Neither is happy.

A Zankie segment and then a Cody/Christine relationship married woman groping bit.

Caleb wants Zach to go home. The rest of the dudes agree they don't need him anymore.

Derrick tells Donny that Victoria is the target. He also said they drew Skittles to see who will go on the block. He claims Donny was the only one not there because he was in bed. Donny seems right through the lie.

Nominations ceremony -- Derrick -- Donny, Christine. You have the opportunity to win BOB. Frankie -- Caleb, Cody. Both have been teasing me (physically attractive) and I picked candy out of a hat.

BOB time! Ohh ... the big Black Box! They have to find bones inside. One bone at a time, five bones on their scoreboard wins. Some bones might not fit. Christine is throwing it and even hands a bone off to Caleb. Donny is finding bones on his own. Donny is onto Christine throwing the comp as he places the 4th bone in place.

DONNY WINS THE BOB (with no help from Christine).

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds - BOB's over, waiting on PoV Friday night - August 16-17

A well-deserved smile

Welp, the Battle of the Block is over and they're just waiting on the PoV comp as I get this written up. Here's what's been happening inside that Big Brother House of Continuous Comps for Three Days and Boredom for Four:
  • If you recall, Donny and Christine were teamed together as Derrick's nominees; Caleb and Cody as Frankie's.
  • Christine was supposed to throw the BoB, Derrick remain the sole HoH.
  • Donny was the target. Or, if tides turned, dethroned Frankie or Christine's names were being tossed about a bit, too. Derrick promised Victoria safety.
  • So ... Christine did throw the comp.
  • No, she didn't just sit out like Caleb did last week.
  • She actually threw the comp.
  • Didn't matter.
  • Donny won it pretty much on his own.
  • I'm sure it helped that Caleb and Cody bungled about and did so poorly.
  • Doesn't matter.
  • Donny's safe for yet another week!
  • Derrick is dethroned, but I doubt he's in any danger of being nominated.
  • On the other hand, Victoria just might be in deep doo-doo.
  • Not only did Donny win, but he knows Derrick was masterminding his exit this week. Before the comp, he questioned the whole Skittles pick thing. After the BoB, at one point Derrick left the room after having a congratulatory talk with Donny and Donny just threw up a WTF kind of gesture as the door closed. He knows the score.
  • Caleb is sure that BB was somehow transmitting signals to Donny during the comp.
  • @@
  • It was one of those where they're in a dark scary place and have to find items -- in this case, bones.
  • They were all covered with blue dirt and such.
  • Derrick got dunked in orange goop upon dethronement.
  • Caleb and Zach were talking in the storage room. Caleb KNOWS Donny isn't what he says he is! No way could a janitor or groundskeeper be that slick! No way!
  • Although we know that Derrick's plan went hugely awry, the way he's handling things shows just how good he is at this stuff.
  • It's almost like it's seamless.
  • He doesn't want to draw attention to himself by fighting to save Victoria when the rest want to target her. That would do his own game no good even if his hope was to beat Victoria in the final two.
  • So, he has to break the news to Victoria that he has no control and that she just might go on the block and could get evicted.
  • Hey, it's not HIS fault! It's out of his hands!
  • She tells him that if she goes, she doesn't want to see him in jury and will vote for him to win.
  • Mission accomplished.
  • Speaking of missions, Team America is definitely on board with the latest one, but won't start on it until after the veto comp. They have until Wednesday to complete it.
  • Oh ... and speaking of Team America, both Frankie and Derrick are acting to Donny's face that it's fantastic that he won the BOB and they're thrilled he's staying.
  • He sees right through them, but remains pleasant and cordial AS IF he believes they're happy with the BOB outcome.
  • Derrick told Frankie that he thinks Donny hasn't been on board with the TA thing all along while they have.
  • He also told him that he's been wanting to work with Donny but doesn't think Donny has trusted him all along.
  • He's right.
  • If no one uses the veto and Caleb and Cody remain on the block, they think it will probably be Caleb going home.
  • In an unusual sense of timing, the veto players were picked -- Besides Frankie, Cody and Caleb -- Victoria, Donny and Christine. Derrick will host.
  • Thus starts the speculation about who would do what with the veto if they won.
  • @@
  • Victoria told Derrick she would probably keep the nominations the same so he wouldn't be in danger.
  • Aw, isn't that just so sweet ...!
  • They think something is up with the timing as the players are usually picked in the morning.
  • While they've been hoping for ZingBot, we know it's actually coming.
  • But, kind of like Santa Claus, it doesn't usually arrive until the good boys and girls are all snuggled in their beds.
  • That could be 10am with this all-night crowd!

Donny's no groundskeeper or janitor!

So, what's going to happen now?

Steal those stolen bunny slippers!

This stuff isn't good for my psoriasis.

Dethroned and orange

My future is now murky

Big Brother 16: End of HOH, Nominations, BOB etc. Show Blog Party - August 10

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

I have no clue when tonight's show will start. Golf just might go on forever. But I'll put this party post up on time in the hopes that it will end sooner rather than later. Once it finally gets underway here in the NYC viewing area, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news.

The real party takes place in the comments area -- come join in on the fun! I'll take down the word verification once the show actually starts!

The show will start at 10pm EDT. I'll return at that time. (Grr.)

Finally, it's starting. It's Recap City so far.

Nicole and Zach clash. Donny consoles Nicole. Caleb says the majority of everything you hear is a lie. Nicole calls out Frankie and Christine while Zach taunts her. As I said in the feeds reports, it's shocking that Caleb ends up being the voice of reason -- he says that not everything Nicole is saying is a lie.

HoH comp -- BB Tourneyement. Giant eye chart clues, then make a choice.
Nicole moves on. Cody eliminated.
Victoria moves on. Derrick eliminated.
Christine moves on. Donny eliminated.
Zach moves on. Frankie eliminated.

Round 2
Nicole first HoH!
Christine is the second HoH.

Frankie offers to flip for Nicole. She's sure he's not trustworthy. Zach spills his guts about EVERYTHING that's been going on to her. Zach told Caleb that Nicole said she wants to put up Caleb, Cody, Derrick because Frankie advised her to do it.

Frankie's lies get exposed to the whole house. Caleb offers to go on the block, throw the BOB and they vote Frankie out.

Christine nominates Donny and Zach.
Nicole nominates Caleb, saying he won't be going anywhere. And Frankie because of his lies.

Zach declares Christine and Frankie liars.

BOB time! Derrick hosts as a sportscaster in a suit. It's a football theme promoting Thursday night football on CBS. @@

It's a bit like a huge foosball table game. Winning team gets a trip to a pre-season NFL event with a tailgate party.

Frankie realizes that Caleb is going to throw the comp. After confronting him about all the lies, Caleb sits down and tells Frankie to play the game by himself. Once Frankie got the hang of the game, he pulled ahead. Zach tries by himself and screws up.

Frankie wins and goes into hysterics. He shouts out to Mommy and Ariana. Nicole is no longer a HoH.

Frankie tells us his only thought to save himself for future weeks is to reveal he's Ariana Grande's brother. @@

Before this season, I didn't even have a clue who she was.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Friday night into Saturday - August 9

All dressed up and nowhere to go

No, Derrick didn't go anywhere. He apparently hosted the BOB comp and got a free suit out of the deal. For a moment I was thinking this would be the future wardrobe for the well-dressed hamster.

If you missed my previous report, we had the first real full-blown brouhaha (sans fisticuffs) of the season. Caleb didn't "throw" the BOB; he literally sat out and refused to play. So, Frankie won it all by himself with Zach and Donny playing on the other side. But ... pre-BOB Frankie realized his goose was cooked in the house. I don't care if he's vegan. His goose was definitely cooked.

What to do? What to do? Time to pull out the "I'm a YouTube star. My sister is a pop star. I'm playing the game to build schools in Africa!" Card! Yep! He claims that the pressure of keeping those secrets in addition to his grandfather's death caused him to suffer some sort of breakdown and lie to everyone about everyone in the house.

Thankfully, some in the house were like me. "Who the hell is Ariana Grande? I never heard of her." Nor had they seen him on YouTube with his over a million followers. But others were smitten right away. Zach freaked. Lots of yelling and the kerfuffle turned into a small brouhaha.

Here's the skinny on what's been going down in that Big Brother House of A Pseudo-Celeb:
  • At first Caleb became smitten. Why, he might meet Justin Bieber! Woot! Forget Amber, let me stalk Frankie!
  • Victoria is in LOVE with Ariana Grande! She's her FAVORITE!
  • Nicole is agog with the idea of being close to a REAL celebrity!
  • Donny was congratulatory about it. (But also has no idea who Ariana Grande is.)
  • Derrick has heard of her, but claims you never know who the people inside the house are outside the house. And, it shouldn't matter.
  • Yep, Sarge ... you got that right!
  • Cody has no clue who Ariana Grande is.
  • Christine is all giggly over it. I hate her laughs. They make my skin crawl.
  • Caleb is crushed that he's not the big celebrity of the season.
  • @@
  • All feel it's unfair as the America's Player favorite prize is certain to go to Frankie with his followers.
  • Zach is super-crushed and subdued. He won't even talk to Frankie, not to even think of a hug. (Everyone else hugged him due to his soul searching confession.)
  • Zach sat for nearly an hour with Derrick (and sometimes others passing through) saying, "I have no chance. I'm playing against someone building schools in Africa. None of us have a chance."
  • Oh. I forgot to mention -- apparently Christine, Frankie and Caleb won some sort of outing to a pre-season football game thingee. They're excited. I'm not.
  • Derrick continued to use his skillz throughout the house, pep-talking some, being Mr. Super Understanding, reminding each person that their own reasons for being in the house are important.
  • They're really in a quandary now.
  • They think if the veto is used, it will most likely be Victoria or Nicole on the block with either Zach or Donny.
  • From the grumblings I'm hearing, it's quite possible if Zach remains on the block, he just might be the next jury member.
  • Thankfully, as the night went on, most seemed to refocus on getting Frankie out. They obviously can't do it this week.
  • But there's always next week.

Can I meet Justin Bieber? Can I? Can I?

I need an alliance, please.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds BOB Results - Friday, August 8

Frankie literally won the BOB single-handed as Caleb threw it. Donny and Zach remain on the block. Lots of screaming going on.

Frankie tells the others who he is (world famous YouTuber, famous sister, et al). Um, he's using this as a reason he became paranoid and turned.

Big Brother 16: HoH Conclusion, Nominations, BOB Show Blog Party - August 3

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

Tonight's episode better not have worthless filler! We get to see the end of the HoH comp, nominations, Battle of the Block and all kinds of scheming! As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news!

As always, the real party is down in the comments area -- come join in on the fun!

Nicole and Donny won the HoH comp in a tiebreaker.

Zach thinks he's using reverse psychology when he offers to Nicole to go up on the block. He doesn't think Nicole and Donny can work together. This is after they already talked about wanting to work together. Derrick lies to Nicole and tells her he would be on board to a backdoor Frankie plan.

Who wants to see my HoH room?

Caleb doesn't want to be nominated by Donny even though he nominated Donny in the past. Caleb says that if does put him on the block, he wants to be with another strong player, not someone like Victoria.

Donny tell both Derrick and Frankie he won't nominate them. Derrick wants Donny to put up losing players for the BOB so he will remain HoH.

Talking to Nicole and Hayden, he talks of putting up Caleb and Victoria. Nicole talks of putting up Zach and Jocasta with a backdoor plan of Frankie. Now, Donny won't put him up, but his eyes lit up at the thought of Nicole backdooring him!

Nominations today -- Nicole wants to shake the house up. Good. Nicole nominates Jocasta, then Zach.  Jocasta, game move, love you, sorry. Nicole says Zach isn't a super villain. Donny nominates Caleb, then Victoria. Caleb put him up. We are square if you survive. Victoria, sorry but your blood is on many hands, now mine.

BOB time - Christine hosts. It's all kids toys. Donny and Nicole over dunking pools. It involves dominoes. They have to do the punishments they knock over. Domino Effect. Even if you win, you lose. You have to knock down three punishments. Caleb doesn't want to shave his head, but that looks like the most direct route.

Donny gets dunked and dethroned ... Caleb and Victoria win! Shave head, on slop for two weeks, Adam and Eve fig leaf bathing suits and tethered by a fig leaf vine for 48 hours.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Battle of the Block Winners Bulletin - August 1

Caleb and Victoria win the BOB!

Yep, they won the Battle of the Block. Donny is dethroned. Jocasta and Zach remain on the block, Nicole is the sole HoH. Zach is not a happy camper. Of course, this increases the chances that Frankie might be backdoored. Hmm.

  • Caleb and Victoria have to be chained together for 48 hours
  • Caleb has to shave his head.
  • Caleb also has a slop penalty.
  • Derrick says that six people are on slop this week -- the four Have Nots and the two on penalty.
  • Donny got dunked in a dunk tank.
  • The comp had to do with dominoes.
  • Yeah, I'm confused. The winners are losers and the losers are winners.
  • In a way.

Big Brother 16: Nominations, Battle of the Block Show Blog Party - July 27

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

Hamster watchers ready? As tonight's show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news!

However, as always, if you're looking for the party, head down into the comments area and join in on the fun!

Both Frankie and Zach want to target Amber. But, of course, it will be Zach who has to do the dirty work.

Frankie got a Justin Bieber CD in his basket. Oh wow.

Christine picks at her toes as she refuses to throw the PoV comp for Zankie.

Due to losing a bet, Amber is stuck going on a "date" with Stalker Creep Caleb.

Neither wants to nominate Donny. Frankie is thinking Jocasta and possibly Victoria. Zach really wants to nominate Christine because he doesn't think she's carrying her weight in the alliance. He questions Nicole. She claims she and Christine are just friends.

Christine denies being in an alliance to Nicole.

Cody and Derrick solidify their final two pact and name themselves the Hitmen.

Donny gets the TA mission -- start an argument between two people at either the PoV or Nominations ceremonies. Since Zach wants to call out Christine in nominations, they think they're going to go with that.

Amber tries to work things out with Zach. Ain't gonna work.

Nominations - Frankie will nominate two weak players so they'll lose and he'll remain HoH. Zach is a wild card. Frankie nominates Jocasta and Victoria because it's 100% strategic, no blood on hands. Zach nominates Christine and Nicole. Christine because she's a floater. Nicole Froot Loop dingus, I bet you didn't see this coming.

TA mission failed.

Battle of the Block -- Caleb hosts, all set up like a wedding scene. Build a giant wedding cake, must stand on top with your partner three seconds to win. Christine and Nicole are nailing it, the other two built a mess.

Nicole and Christine win! Zach is dethroned. Jocasta and Victoria remain on the block and Frankie remains the sole HoH.

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Battle of the Block Update - July 25

Victorious (not Victoria)

Nicole and Christine have won the Battle of the Block. So, Zach is dethroned. Frankie remains the sole Head of Household. Jocasta and Victoria remain on the block. There have been a few mentions of backdooring Zach if the veto is used, but I doubt that will happen.

Big Brother 16: HoH Results, Nominations, BotB Show Blog Party - July 20

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

Oh, my! They're going to have one busy little show tonight! As it airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this post with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news!

As always, the real party is in the comments area -- come join in on the fun!

We open with them still working the Devil Eggs challenge. Brittany and Jocasta seem to be doing well. Frankie and Cody are catching up. Victoria is dropping all her eggs. Oh ... Zach and Amber in the lead now. But Cody and Frankie squeeze by and win the dual HoH!

HoH room reveal and the revelation that five allies remain from the Bomb Squad -- Zach, Derrick, Frankie, Christine and Cody. The Detonators!

Frankie gets the next Team America Mission -- physical threat to go on the block. Frankie is worried because he's friends with most of the threats. Derrick suggests Amber.

Lots of filler for a busy show. Hmm.

Frankie tells Amber he wants to put her up as a pawn. She's not happy. Well, duh.

"Nominations Today." Cody nominates Victoria and Brittany. Doesn't know where they're at in the game. Frankie nominates Jocasta and Amber. Jo - fiercest, Amber strongest competitor.

Amber does count as a Team America mission accomplished. They're up to ten grand each.

Brittany is all upset that she's being compared to Victoria.

Battle of the Block -- Pirate-themed with a giant chess board. Must move like a knight in chess. "Knight Moves." Jocasta runs out of moves first and is out. Brittany is out. Amber wins the BotB for herself and Jocasta! Frankie is dethroned. Cody is the sole HoH!

Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Friday evening/BotB results - July 18

Smiling through the tears

You're never going to believe what I did ... and I blame Big Brother for it. You know I've mentioned before that I hate them running the Jeff interviews or house highlights during comps instead of the trivia with the theme music. Y'see, with the latter, I could nap and, when the feeds came back live with voices talking, that would wake me up. If it's all talk, I can't nap. I work full-time in addition to trying to cover the show and feeds each season. I run on empty for the three months or so of the show. I'm not whining here, just explaining.

So, when they went into the BotB comp earlier, I decided to take a nap. Since it was voices not music on the feeds, I shut it down and set my alarm clock for 45 minutes. I woke up nearly SEVEN hours later! Gah! But now I've flashbacked on the feeds, caught up on what I missed and here I am ... here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Ants Marching:
  • Victoria thinks the house is "too high school."
  • Well, duh. It always is! The others think she acts like she thinks she's better than them.
  • High school all the way.
  • Amber and Jocasta won the BotB, so Frankie is dethroned. Cody remains HoH and on the block we have Brittany and Victoria.
  • Christine told the guys that Amber was trying to rally up the girls to go against the guys.
  • I realize that Christine says she's a superfan and, while I don't care much for recruits to the show and would prefer seeing fans on the show, I'm beginning to get increasingly irked by her.
  • My irkitude (yeah, I made up a word, but better than PaoPao's!) started when I heard Christine call the live feeds watchers "creeps."
  • Zach told Brittany he would vote to keep her. Yeah, he said the same to Devin. But he MEANS it with her! Or, so he tells her.
  • Brittany is the main target of the two on the block.
  • But I think we're in a situation this week, unlike last week, that the tides can change either way.
  • While they have their eye on Brittany to go, Victoria might just implode and make them want her out more.
  • Caleb told Amber there's some negative buzz about her going around. He said she only went on the block because she said she didn't mind going up as a pawn if needed.
  • Amber told him it's obvious that the guys are all working together.
  • Well, duh.
  • Caleb, for once using his noggin, told Amber he thinks Frankie goes around stirring up stuff in the house.
  • BINGO! Add in Christine and you have an Andy!
  • Brittany is shocked that Cody put her up because she trusted him.
  • Hey, it's BB. Trust no one.
  • Victoria, in a huge crying jag after being called to the Diary Room, told Zach, "You'll never guess why they called me into ..."
  • Cut to fish cam.
  • I tried flashing back to see what she might have done, but I don't know. She acted like it was very traumatic.
  • Caleb and Amber talked forever. In the talk, Caleb told her practically everything he knows about what's going on with whom.
  • Oh my, silly boy. She can use all that to better her own game.
  • Brittany thinks she's in the game to win (and create a better life for her family) while she pointed out to Victoria that most think she's (Victoria) is just there.
  • Victoria bristled and said just because she doesn't go around telling everyone her life's story, doesn't mean she doesn't want or need to win.
  • Caleb went and reported to Frankie, amongst other things, that Amber thinks he (Frankie) is working both sides.
  • @@ Just when I thought the boy might have a brain.
  • Nicole and Zach talked about Amber being a snake. That's true. But so is Nicole's buddy Christine!
  • Victoria thinks that everyone is attacking her on a personal level.
  • Hey, that happens in the house!
  • Zach pigged out on cookies again.
  • Donny thinks his sister might be watching the live feeds 'cuz she has the internets.
  • Victoria said that Zach is pushing Brittany to throw her (Vic) under the bus.
  • Amber insisted to the boys that she hasn't been repeating talks she has with the guys to the girls.
  • Follow that?
  • She's basically being honest about that.
  • It's more Frankie and Christine playing both sides. Amber, while she tries to be in with the girls and talks to them, hasn't betrayed any confidences with the guys.
  • Not that I've seen, anyway.
  • Of course, that doesn't mean that she always agrees with them. She might be filing away the little tidbits of info to better her own game.
  • There's getting to be unrest through much of the house.
  • Good. I like it that way.

Off the block

Dreaming of Amber, stardom and fame

Not all the way in with the in crowd

Undercover lovers? No.

"People don't have my back."

Sock puppet body language says it all

Big Brother 16: Nominations and Battle of the Block Show Blog Party - July 13

Big Brother summer on Make A Gif

Are you READY? It's nominations. It's Battle of the Block. It's Big Brother. And, this is our party as we watch the show East Coast time. As it airs here, I'll update this post with the major happenings. Refresh the post to get the latest news!

Where's the party? It's in the comments area ... come join in!

After the PaoPao eviction, Devin starts exposing the Bomb Squad to all. Silly dude. Christine told her personal ally Nicole about it, fearing that she'd hear it from someone else.

The HoH room reveal. You know how that goes.

After a long discussion about nominees (they have more they don't want to put up), it's decided that Derrick will put up Caleb and Jocasta, Nicole will put up Amber because Amber nominated her. Caleb can "save" Amber as the target is to get Devin up there after PoV. Nicole is undecided on her second nominee.

Caleb is willing to go up, throw the comp to save Amber and to have Derrick remain HoH.

Nicole tells Donny of her dilemma and the plan to oust Devin with the backdoor. Donny blabs the Caleb throw plan to Jocasta and Brittany. Amber overheard it and runs to Nicole and Christine. After telling Nicole earlier she shouldn't trust Christine, now Nicole needs to not trust Donny!

Nominations time - Nicole is upset. Nicole nominates Amber, then Donny. Adore Donny, given information last second which influences decision. Derrick nominates Jocasta and Caleb. She's a floater by rumor, prove she's not. Caleb volunteered.

Devin knows it's a backdoor plan. Donny is upset, not realizing his spreading the news about Caleb is why he got the nomination.

Team America's first mission "get three other hg to spread the rumor that one hg is related to a previous one." They have four days. They decide to rumor that Zach is Amanda's cousin. Donny suggested to try with the dumbest first -- Caleb.

Donny and Nicole made up. Donny told her she never told him NOT to tell about the Caleb thing. They agree to work together. This time she tells him not to tell anyone.

BotB - Frog Wars. Fly to retrieve pieces, assemble puzzle.

Donny and Amber win (of course). Nicole is dethroned. Derrick is the sole HoH. They made Nicole disappear on screen and are using it as a cliffhanger.
