LOST Alternate Endings from Jimmy Kimmel Live

Being who I am, I like the Jeff Probst Survivor ending the best --

"Sayid, the tribe has spoken."
"I didn't spend five years in the Republican Guard, get shot, get drowned in a pond, take a bomb to the stomach on a submarine ... just to get eliminated by Jeff [bleeping] Probst!"

Loved the Newhart ending, too!

LOST - "The End" Series Finale Blog Party

Well, this is it. It's the series finale for a show which brought us both smoke monsters and giant polar bears. Will our questions be answered?

What better time for me to include various Lost logos made for us by Zoetawny over the past five seasons? Enjoy!

I won't be live-blogging the show because I actually want to WATCH it without typing or taking notes, but I will be piping in during some commercials, for sure. Everyone is invited to party and hang out in the comments section. It's BYOB and snacks!

So far they're each reminiscing about their characters. "If we can't live together ... (dramatic pause) ... we're going to die alone!"

Ah, I was right. The smoke monster only threw Richard Alpert. He's still alive.

No. Wait. Everyone's dead. Um. Okay.

Talking Lost and the Upcoming Series Finale

Jackie's TV Blog, Lost

It's coming soon ... Sunday night, to be precise. Yep, the series finale of Lost is in sight. All of our questions will be answered and we won't bemoan the fact that we spent five years invested in the show. Or, will we?

I'm not sure how satisfied I'm going to be. While last week's non-episode with the background of Jacob and the Man in Black left a bit to be desired, this week was much more intriguing.

My questions remain ...
-- Why does the Man in Black have no name, yet Jacob (his brother) does?
-- If Jacob was protecting the island from the smoke monster (that he created by throwing the Man in Black into the light), what was his non-mother protecting the island from?
-- What's so important about protecting the island anyway? I mean, unless you live there, is there something vital to all mankind, the universe and everything going on with the island?
-- Why is Desmond gathering the 815 passengers much like Jacob before him?
-- Ben was bad. Ben was good. Is he going to team up with FLocke or betray him?
-- Jacob said he chose the people as their own lives were going so rocky. But it seems he's watched them for years, often before their lives had such woes. What's up with that?
-- How does the Dharma Initiative tie in with this? Were they observing Jacob in the beginning?
-- The Man in Black is stuck in John Locke's body. If he indeed gets off the island, will he revert to being in a wheelchair?
-- Why did Jack so quickly assume the position of the Protector of the Island? Will he become Jacob in a new reality?
-- Where did the giant polar bears go?
-- Is Richard really dead, killed by the smoke monster last night? I don't think so. He seems eternal. He can only rest when he meets up with his beloved. Remember, we only saw him tossed in the air.
-- If Jack becomes the Protector of the Island, what happens to the others? Will the sideways universe become their only lives?

I have tons of questions and I'm not sure the finale will answer them all. But I'll be there. I plan on putting up a post for the finale Sunday night at 7 PM ET. However, I won't be posting a lot on it because I get the feeling it's something I'll have to pay close attention to so I don't miss anything. Yet, during commercials, we'll surely talk! All the Lost fans are welcome to drop by and comment during the 2 1/2 hour series finale. If nothing else, it certainly should be interesting!

Will you be watching?

TV Hash - American Idol, Lost, and TV Blogging Stuff ...

I meant to post last night, but I fell asleep. I hate it when I do that! The local news on WCBS is having a series on sleep all this week. It's too bad I'm getting so sleepy I can't concentrate enough to watch it. Had I not thought ahead to record Letterman on Monday night, I would have missed Jim Parsons (Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory). He always makes me smile.

I have several things I want to talk about -- the first being last night's Sinatra spotlight on American Idol. Oh my. Casey didn't do well, neither did the projected winner Crystal Bowersox. While Aaron did okay, I'm tired of seeing him in that one pose -- one foot forward, some odd attempts at quasi-pelvic thrusting (or whatever it is that he's doing). He has no stage presence. I can't imagine going to a concert and enduring an hour of him standing there doing that no matter how well he might sing. Big Mike looked the part and did well. But, the winner of the night for me was Lee DeWyze.

The more I see him and hear him, the more I like him. He's gaining confidence in his performance skills and I've always liked the slightly raspy tone. I think working with Harry Connick, Jr. last night improved his outlook greatly. I'd like to see a Bowersox/DeWyze finale. Of course, I'm typing this up before the results show. For all I know, one might be going home!

Jackie's TV Blog, Lost

Then there's Lost. Eek! I missed the show the week I was in Texas and, for some reason, the web site episode hangs at the very end. But I should be relatively caught up. Yet, I'm still a bit lost. We lost four people in the episode! Lapidus, Sayid, Sun, and Jin, all dead. Hmm ... maybe the finale is that no one gets out of it alive.

FLocke has to be a bad guy. But Widmore seems to be one, too. I realize it's some sort of epic good/evil battle going on, but neither of these two seem really "good." And Hurley cried. Aw, man.

Then there's TV Blogging stuff

I forgot to mention my The Big Bang Theory post up on CliqueClack TV the other night. I really have to get back in the habit of posting the links here, on Twitter and Facebook.

My TV Squad blogging gig is undergoing major changes, kind of sort of. AOL, the owner of TV Squad, has merged their Inside TV blog with TV Squad under the name of TV Squad. The blog's look has changed. The pay rate is a bit better for me, so the changes aren't anything I fear. There are technical differences for images and new contract doohickeys, but I'll get used to it all. I'm hoping that, with the changes, I might be able to do the Big Brother live feeds there this summer. Right now it's too early to tell. Of course, I'll have feeds stuff here. (But it's nice to get paid for it there!)

As for readers of TV Squad, one of the major complaints seem to be that folks can't find their shows. If you input the show name in the search box, you can find all posts about the subject. Or, it's easy to just do the site - http://www.tvsquad.com/ with "category" and the show name at the end - http://www.tvsquad.com/category/survivor -- I think that should work. If not, I'll have to edit this post!

Now a little late news --

We all know that Adam, winner of Big Brother 9, got busted for drugs. More recently, Matt was also charged! It's right here in this article. Plus, Matt, the apple of Natalie's eyes, has been arrested for beating up his girlfriend. Yikes.

There you go. That's what I had to say. I'll be watching American Idol while recording the new episode of Criminal Minds. Hopefully, I'll stay awake for Letterman. I was off today and even napped a bit. But I had to get up for a conference call for the blogging. By the way, Vincent jumped on me and wouldn't get off during the conference call. It's almost easier to take them at work!

Lost - "Happily Ever After"

I'm glad I didn't try to write about Lost while watching it last night. I can barely handle it today wide awake and alert. The episode was Desmond-centric, something I thought would be very interesting as he's one of the most intriguing characters on the show. Instead of being entitled "Happily Ever After," it might be construed as "Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places."

Most of the episode took place in the sideways world. We found out that Eloise, the mother of Daniel Farragut, is actually Charles Widmore's wife and Daniel is his son. Penny, Desmond's love, is Daniel's half-sister. Desmond, after landing from Australia on Flight 815 was assigned the task of taking Charlie (who had been arrested on the flight for his heroin possession) to do a concert for Mrs. Widmore and her loving son Daniel.

Then all kinds of love connections happened with Charlie (of all people) being the prophet. His drowning hand with "Not Penny's boat" reenacted as he forced Desmond to crash into water. Desmond began his search for true love ... for Penny. Apparently the message is that love is more important than anything else, I guess.

On the island, I was thrown into my own state of confusion by the befuddled Fiber One grocery clerk being in a position of intelligence and authority of some type. I kept expecting him to call his manager to tell them there are no nuts or twigs. Desmond was tested in a killing electromagnetic force and survived as only he could. Widmore has a mission for him. But then Sayid appeared at the end and Desmond went off with him. Oh, now I'm all Lost again! How about you?

My Watership Down theory may still be viable. There was a rabbit.

Talking Lost ...

I won't be getting my Lost post up until tomorrow. I'm totally exhausted and will end up totally lost if I write about the episode while watching it tonight. My apologies ...

Lost - "The Package"

The show is starting here. As it airs, I'll be jotting some quick notes in this entry. Anyone watching (or who has watched) is welcome to join in down in the comments section.

On the island, Sayid tells FLocke he doesn't feel anything anymore. Jin wants out from the FLocke. Whoa! Uprising with the Tina Fey gang and darts of some type. They want Jin.

FLocke wants Sun, tells her he has Jin (little does he know). Instead of going with him, she flees. Um. Okay, she trusts no one, I guess. Ben finds her and rescues her while FLocke finds his camp people attacked and Jin gone. Now she can only speak Korean again.

Tina Fey is holding Jin in the old Dharma Initiative's Room 23. "Take me to your leader." He gets a meet and greet with Charles Widmore. He tells Jin that if Locke ever gets off the island, there will be chance to reunite with Sun.

FLocke says he has to take all of the people whose names were on the wall to get off the island. Claire's name wasn't on the wall, but he needs her anyway. He wants Jin back.

FLocke met up with Widmore who knows he's not Locke.

Sideways Sayid rescued sideways Jin while he killed the men who killed his brother. Oh no, sideways Sun was accidentally shot by Jin. I'm so lost.

Ohhh... Widmore's group has Desmond!

Lost - "Recon"

The show is starting here. As it airs, I'll be jotting some quick notes in this entry. Anyone watching (or who has watched) is welcome to join in down in the comments section.

Huh, sideways Sawyer is a cop? They're just trying to keep me lost! Miles is his buddy detective. Miles set up Sawyer with Charlotte, interesting. They fall into mad passionate lust. Oh, she found clippings that his father killed his wife.

FLocke told his flock that the smoke monster got everyone in the temple. FLocke told Sawyer he himself is the smoke monster. Ohhh, the plot thickens. He's sending Sawyer to do recon on Hydra Island. He wants to fly off with Sawyer in the plane on the island. I doubt that.

Sawyer seems to be at the giant polar bear cages,

Yikes! Claire is attacking Kate! FLocke stopped her. FLocke apologized to Kate, telling her he had told Claire the Others had Aaron.

Sawyer found the plane and the massacre site of its passengers. A women fled from nearby and he caught her. Her name is Zoey -- the plane crashed, she was away from the others, heard screaming, and they were all dead. She dragged their bodies into the pile.

Whoa! Sawyer is captured by Strangers! Maybe like Others, but Strangers (my own moniker for them). Well, welll ... it's Widmore's submarine people. Sawyer told Widmore FLocke sent him. He's trying to make a deal for himself and friends to get off the island. He'll bring FLocke to Widmore in exchange for freedom. Is he lying? I believe so.

FLocke is trying to gain Kate's trust -- before he looked like Locke, he had a crazy mother and if things were different, he wouldn't be like this. Hmmm. He says Aaron has a crazy mother, too.

Sideways Sawyer watches Little House on the Prairie and learns a life lesson about taking each day at a time and love and laughter.

Claire apologized to Kate. Sawyer tells FLocke all about Widmore and his troops. Sawyer tells him also about his "bring FLocke back so they can kill him plan." FLocke appreciates his loyalty.

Sideways Sawyer tells Miles about his father killing his mother, then himself, due to the con by Anthony Cooper. He then captures a fleeing Kate.

On the island, he tells Kate that while FLocke and Widmore are duking it out, he and Kate will escape on the sub. Next week is all about Richard ... about time!

Lost - "Dr. Linus"

The show is starting here. As it airs, I'll be jotting some quick notes in this entry. Anyone watching (or who has watched) is welcome to join in down in the comments section.

Island - Ben is running with Lapidus, Sun, Miles, etc.
Sideways - He's teaching. John Locke is a substitute, telling Ben he should be the principal (Ben should) because he cares more than the actual principal.
Island - Miles did his dead person read for Jacob and told them Linus killed him -- he was standing over hime with a bloody dagger. Eep for Ben!

Sideways - Ben is taking care of his aging father and fussing about his frustration with his career. The father said he signed up for the Dharma Initiative and how would it have been if they stayed? Hmmm.

Island - One or the other Kwon, Sun or Jin, is a candidate to replace Jacob. Ilana says six are left, her job is to protect them. Richard, no longer beaten up, directs Hurley and Jack to the temple. Lapidus told Ben he was supposed to fly Flight 815, but he overslept. Ilana shackled Ben and wants him to dig his own grave for killing Jacob.

When Hurley questioned Richard why he doesn't age, he told him Jacob gave him a gift. He says there are no survivors at the temple.

Sideways - Be thinks the principal is having an illicit affair.

Island - Ben looks worn and defeated as he digs his grave. Richard said something about killing himself after Hurley said he spoke to Jacob. He's into the old dynamite. He says he can't kill himself because Jacob touched him. He said that Jacob had a plan that he would share with him when the time is right, now he has no purpose as Jacob's dead. Jack agreed to help him, started a fuse and then "Let's talk."

Jack is right -- the dynamite keeps fizzling out, FLocke saved Ben. In sideways, Ben is blackmailing the principal. He wants his job. Principal counter blackmails -- he'll trash Alex's educational future.

Now Ben, after a tearful apology and his "I watched Alex die to save the island, I killed Jacob, must go with Locke -- he's the only one who'll have me." Now Ilana says she'll have him. Thunk.

Hurley, Jack, and Richard join the beach crew. Ohhh ... and Widmore's sub spots them and goes on by.

Lost - "Sundown"

Okay, now Sayid is in sideways. Argh, I'm not remembering the woman he's seeing with his "niece and nephew" -- married to someone else. His lost love? On the island, the ninja dude told Sayid that the "scale tipped the wrong way" for him in the balance of good and evil. Ninja Dude claims he's good. I don't know anymore. I'm more lost. Because a baseball fell and didn't roll during a huge Ninja/Sayid fight, he told Sayid to leave (when he could have killed him) and never return. Um.

Ohh, Sideways Sayid is being asked to do a hit by his "friend." Sayid claims that he's not that man anymore. Back at the temple he packs and tells Miles he's banished. Miles tells him he (Sayid) was dead for two hours and the people at the temple didn't bring him back.

FLocke (Fake Locke) still has the ever Rousseau growing Claire believing that Aaron is being held in the temple. Claire told Ninja Dude that "he" wants to see him outside the temple (FLocke, I assume). Huh. Now he wants Sayid to stay!

Ninja Dude wants Sayid to kill Jacob's adversary -- he's "evil incarnate." Sayid bumped into Kate in the forest, he told her he didn't know if he's leaving and to ask Miles to bring her up to date. Miles told her that Claire is back.

Uh-oh ... Sayid was approached by FLocke, impales him with a knife and it just don't work. "Why'd you do that?" asks FLocke. FLocke told Sayid that it was all a plot to get him killed. FLocke told Sayid that he could have anything in the world if he delivers a message.

Sayid returns to the temple to tell them "a man" said Jacob is dead and none of them have to stay there any longer. They have until sundown. Or they're dead. Eep.

Whoa -- Sideways Sayid's friend was "mugged" probably by the person he wants Sayid to kill. In the hospital, Jack Sheppard passed by. Ah, it's his brother. She says he pushed her towards the brother, Sayid claims he doesn't deserve her.

Ohh ... Sideways Sayid is picked up by RUFFIANS! Martin Kemey (sp)? Sayid attacks! He kills all three ruffians including sneering Martin. Yikes! The ruffians had Korean speaking no English Jin bound and gagged in another room!

Claire and Kate meet at the temple. Kate tells Claire all about Aaron. Claire doesn't believe her. As Kate is dragged away from the imprisoned Claire, Claire calls out, "He's coming and they can't stop him."

Sayid's message worked -- everyone is leaving the temple. He returns the knife to Ninja Dude and tells him it's twice he tried to have someone else kill him. Ninja Dude tells a tale -- he worked at a bank, too much to drink after a promotion, killed his son in a drunk driving accident. A man came to him in the hospital, told him his son's life would be saved if he came to the island, but he could never see the boy again -- JACOB.

It's sundown, Sayid drowned Ninja Dude. FLocke's jungle effects threaten the temple. Run! Smoke monster! Lapidus and his gun-toting woman save Miles while Kate is trying to save Claire. But, of course, FLocke won't kill Claire. Ben arrives, tries to save Sayid. Sayid says there's no time left for him. Miles tells Sun that Jin is alive.

Sayid walks amongst the carnage with Kate and Claire. FLocke and a flock of followers are outside. They follow FLocke like zombies.

Lost - "Lighthouse"

I'm befuddled. I missed the first few minutes due to a late changing of channel from American Idol. Jack has a son? Maybe my mind is deteriorating with age, but I don't recall a son. This was a sideways time bit. The son's quite the classical pianist. Jack and the mother are divorced. I'm lost. Yikes! In sideways time, the ninja dude from the temple is the father of another child at the recital. Jack didn't know his son still played piano. Curiouser and curiouser.

At least Jin is saved from the jungle by Claire and Hugo is still talking to dead Jacob. Okay, I'm down with that. Claire seems a changed woman, though. The black captor claims she'll kill both him and Jin. The people at the temple told Jack "something happened to her." Claire thinks the temple people have Aaron -- her father and her friend told her so.

Jim told Claire that Kate took Aaron three years ago. Whoa. She killed the black dude with the ax anyway. My, she's gotten surly since living in the jungle, eh?

Oh ... sideways time, Jack's father left Claire Littleton something in his will. Hmmm ...

Jack told Hugo he came back to the island because he's broken. I think they all are. Hugo, directed by Jacob, led him to a lighthouse. Again with 108. Hugo was instructed by Jacob to crank the wheel in the lighthouse to 108 degrees. Oh ... names and numbers on the wheel. Sheppard is 23 degrees. He can see the house he grew up in. Jack realizes Jacob has been watching all of them for years. So he smashes the heck out of the place. Okay.

Jack "broke the lighthouse," yet Jacob says someone is still coming to the island. Jacob told Hugo that Jack has something he has to do and must figure it out himself. He also says someone bad is coming to the temple. Jin is lying to murderous Claire saying that Aaron is at the temple. So is she the bad person? Or could it be Not Locke? Eep ... she says Not Locke isn't John, that's her friend.

Curiouser and curiouser ...

Lost - "The Substitute"

Oh my. I'm so addicted to the show, yet feel so Lost.

Okay, let's see what's going on. As the whole series has been, we've got entirely separate stories going on simultaneously (just to drive us bonkers, of course). In the past we had flashbacks. Now we're in some sort of sideways-flash ... a "what if" Oceanic 815 had never crashed scenario. But, for a sideways flash, we have tons of discrepancies with what we thought was the real deal from the flashbacks.

For example:
  • In previous flashbacks, we accepted Hugo as a lucky unlucky man, winning the lottery but feeling he was bad luck to all who come in contact with him -- sort of a Reverse Midas. Ah, not so. In the sideways flash, he's still the lottery winner, but he's a successful business man, as well. And a generous one, too.
  • In flashbacks, Locke got fired for his walk-about mission. Well, that remained true. But in sideways Hugo saved him by getting him a job through one of his (apparently) many companies.
  • In flashbacks, Helen left Locke. In sideways, they're making plans to get married and even hint that his relationship with his father is okay. Say what? How? That would have to be after the kidney fraud. If his father didn't shove him out the window, why is he paralyzed from the waist down?
  • In flashbacks, Ben grew up on the island and never left it. In sideways, he's a teacher of European history on the mainland. Huh?
  • We also saw continued relationships betwixt the Oceanic 815 folks in sideways. Rose works for Hugo's temp agency, although she has the cancer cured by the island. The first person interviewing Locke for the job (the "what animal are you" person) in sideways was the "therapist" Hugo's father hired in flashbacks to convince him he wasn't cursed by the winning numbers.
What's been going on at the island is even more confusing for me. Is Jacob a force for good or evil? Could it be that the Man in Black (now Locke or Fake Locke or even FLocke) be actually good? After all, we know Ben can be one evil bad dude ... he was in cahoots with Jacob.

And how about the blond kid? Could that be Aaron in some sort of weird time warp kind of way? And where are Walt and Michael? Shouldn't this include them, too? Don't even get me going on the name and number list on the cave wall. It's obvious that FLocke wants to recruit Sawyer, but that's all that's obvious on the island for me at this point. I think the stones on the scale, white and black, signified good and evil. But I don't know.

My head hurts. What animal are you?

Lost - "What Kate Does"

Well, the latest snowstorm (supposedly 12 to 18 inches) has started as I get this written up. Of course, as long as the power stays on, that makes things perfect for television watching. Not that I really need a reason, as you know. I was going to write up the latest American Idol Hollywood Week with Ellen DeGeneres starting her judge reign. But I don't have much to say about it. Eh.

Onto to tonight's show. I remain a tad lost. I'm glad I'm not doing in-depth review/recaps of the show anymore. True Lost geeks would rip me apart. Okay, here's my dilemma:

After last week, I thought that perhaps Sayid had been taken over by the dead/undead Jacob. I thought by him telling Hurley to take Sayid to the temple that the folks there were FoJ. That would be Friends of Jacob, natch. Hmmm ... so they try to save him, it doesn't seem to work, then it works. So this week they torture him, determine he failed (although they told him he passed), and try to poison him. What does it all mean? Jacob didn't enter his body, but someone else? We already know the Jacob's archenemy has taken over Locke's body.

Sawyer's actions seemed very typical Sawyer. I would have liked to have heard more from the black armed guy who escorted Jin and Kate as they went after Sawyer. So, Danielle has been dead for years and Kate knows the one "escort," or should know him.

The Kate/Claire alternate universe (whatever!) storyline was interesting. I'm sure they will meet up again. I'm really not sure what to say about it. Kate does have a way about her, though. She's right that she can be very convincing. Yet she never comes across as really evil.

Your thoughts on tonight's episode?

Lost Geeks Discuss the Premiere

I found this video of AOL Television Lost Geeks discussing the major points of the premiere. I thought for those blog readers a bit lost about Lost might want to see it. Just click on the arrow to play the video. Be warned that it's about twelve minutes or so.

One thing I'd also mention would be a correlation to The Wizard of Oz. We know that in the first season, there were several references to Oz (like Ben claiming he was Henry Gale crashing his hot air balloon). I thought, while watching the season premiere, that the whole approach to the temple reminded me of Dorothy and her cohorts approaching the Emerald City. Plus, the music was definitely reminiscent of Oz ... as Maggie briefly mentions in the video.

Don't forget ... tonight at 8 PM ET/PT, there's a Surviving Survivor hour-long special!

Tonight Will Be a Lost Evening for Me

Yep, it's back! Lost returns this evening with a big three-hour ordeal a'goin' on. From what it looks like, the first hour (although listed as new material) answers some questions and points out remaining mysteries. Then it's onto the two-hour actual season premiere. Most likely I'll NEED to watch that first hour as I've totally forgotten what happened last on the show!

Now, I don't think I'll be blogging the show in-depth as I'm so lost to begin with and it will take me some time to catch up. But if folks want to comment on the premiere, I'm sure to join in. It's the last season of the show and they did promise us answers. We better get them and it better not be a "Who shot JR?" scenario!

I'll be recording tonight's American Idol audition show due to Lost. What are YOU watching tonight?

TV, No TAR, and Stuff

Now, there's some New Jersey love if I ever saw New Jersey love, eh? Actually, it's rather foolish placement of an advertising sign with its bottom half behind the bench at the Dunellen (NJ) Train Station. The bottom half is WPIX Channel 11 Morning News. (Clicking on any of the images will open them larger in a new window.)

Onto some TV doings --

I was a bit disappointed that Bonnie Hunt didn't have Mike and Mel from The Amazing Race on her show this week. I could have gone without seeing Christie and Jodi the week before. I'm at work while The Bonnie Hunt Show is on, but I record it every day. Buddy TV ran an interview with them. I'm surprised to hear that Mike is a vegan and barely ate during the race. Here I was feeling all kinds of sorry for Mel due to his age and injuries (yet amazing perseverance) and Mike's not eating! I find it interesting to see that they thought Margie and Luke are more sneaky a team than shown.

I did watch Lost this week, but found it a bit confusing. I was tired when I watched it. Perhaps my mind just wasn't working quite right. Maybe the Lost Entangled will help me out.

I watched the finale of Life on Mars and got confused by that, too. A mind is a terrible thing to lose. Okay, they're really from Mars and it was all just a mission? Odd.

Taj needs to stop taking chances on Survivor! After all, she's my castaway in the blog pool! Sheesh!

Roofus was fast asleep in the gloomy fog near the Plainfield Train Station yesterday on my way to work.

Although it's been a bit on the cold side most days, spring has sprung. Achoo!

I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Where the city sleeps
and I'm the only one and I walk alone
-- "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day

I thought the song went nicely with the photo I took walking to the train station pre-dawn ... which I did a few times this week. Every Monday lately, I've been going in early to work and I had to a few other days, too.

There is no Amazing Race nor a Cold Case tonight. But I'll be writing up my Reality Clack column for CliqueClack TV and I have an article in mind for TV Squad, too. At least I won't have the pressure of writing up two shows knowing I have to get up before 5 AM.

LOST: Thirty-Second Review - "Namaste"

Jackie's TV Blog, Lost

Yep, yet another blog logo from our favorite Zoetawny! On last night's LOST, things moved forward a bit. At least we're in 1977! Here's the quick lowdown --
  • Ben and Sun were with the plane and Lapidus when it went down on an island near our main nutty island. We already know the others landed separately (somehow).
  • Sawyer and Juliet rigged it so that it looked like Jack, Kate, and Hurley were new Dharma recruits from the submarine which arrives every six months.
  • We saw Ethan as a new baby.
  • Ben's about 12, maybe a bit older, on the island. I personally wonder what happens when worlds collide -- adult Ben meets child Ben. Will the universe fall off its axis or something?
  • Sayid was wandering through the woods handcuffed. Jin had to act like he was a hostile and capture him due to a Dharma dude witness. So, Sayid is being held in a cell.
  • Sun said she trusted Ben would lead her where she wanted to go (to join Jin), but she didn't. She whacked him with a log and took off with Lapidus for the main island.
  • Under spooky circumstances, Sun and Lapidus meet Jack's father, Christian. He shows them a picture of the 1977 recruits which includes Jack, Kate, and Hurley.
  • Sun and Lapidus are not in 1977.
And that's that. Oh, there's a very suspicious Dharma guy. I think he knows something is hinky with the new arrivals.

LOST - "LaFleur" - A Thirty Second Review

Jackie's TV Blog, Lost

We moved forward a bit as we jumped back and forth between a three-year span. Here's the scoop:
  • Locke's turning the wheel in the Orchid Station did stop the time jumping for the island.
  • That doesn't mean the viewers stopped time jumping.
  • Faraday, Miles, Juliet, Sawyer, and Jin are stranded in 1974 on the island.
  • That's not to be confused with being stuck in 1973 Manhattan.
  • Sawyer (and Juliet) saved a damsel in distress.
  • Said damsel and her (now late) husband are part of the Dharma Initiative.
  • The husband was murdered and she was about to be murdered by "hostiles."
  • Richard Albert is the leader of the hostiles and still looks exactly the same (no matter the year). Surprise, surprise.
  • Sawyer and cohorts were kind of taken in by the Dharma folks.
  • Sawyer is now a flower. Er, he's going by the name Jim LaFleur, which is Jim the Flower in French. (See, all those years of studying the language certainly have made a difference in my life.)
  • In the beginning, Sawyer was told he's not Dharma material. Heh. He definitely isn't!
  • They must have worked their way into the hearts and minds of Dharma as they're there three years later and in with the in crowd of the initiative.
  • Sawyer now is with Juliet and deems Kate a distant memory.
  • They're still waiting for Locke to return.
  • But it's Jack, Kate, and Hurley who turn up.
  • Now we know why Jin was wearing the Dharma uniform.
  • And, Sawyer may just fall for Kate all over again, eh?
They've discontinued the LOST Entangled videos, but here's the video briefing of the episode from the ABC website.

LOST "316" Thirty Second Review, Plus "LOST Untangled" Video

Welp, they made it back to the island ... all of them. Jack, Sayid, Kate, Sun, Hurley, and Locke's body, as well as Ben. Here's the brief skinny:
  • Jack, Sun, and Ben met with Eloise Hawking (Faraday's mother). The church is actually some sort of Dharma site.
  • She said the island moves and they can track it with an oddly convoluted pendulum doohickey.
  • She decides they can recreate the crash by taking Flight 316.
  • Meanwhile, Desmond shows up to give her the message from her son. He says he's through with the island. She warns him the island isn't through with him.
  • Somehow even Hurley and Sayid show up for the flight. Kate, too.
  • One of the crew on 316 is Frank Lapidus -- the helicopter pilot who saved the original six.
  • The plane doesn't seem to crash, yet Jack, Kate, and Hurley all personally crash on the island.
  • They are met by Jin driving the Dharma van (which looks new) and wearing a crisp Dharma uniform. Oh. And he has a gun.
My guess is that they've arrived in another time, a time in which Jin had to join Dharma to survive. Then again, I could be totally wrong.

Here's this week's LOST Untangled video ... gosh, these crack me up:
