BB19: Temptation Challenge and Nominations Show Blog Party - August 13

As the show airs here, I'll be live-blogging and constantly updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

The show is starting late here. But I don't know how late. It's past 8pm ET and 60 Minutes is still on.

Finally, at 8:19pm we have the show. Recap, recap.

Cody is alone. He's happy Jess isn't stuck with the others. He wants to strip the big prize money from "as many of these idiots as possible." Raven would like Mark and Elena targeted because they're too close to Cody. Josh thinks so, too. Christmas is leery, as well.

Everyone is going to play in the Temptation Challenge to attempt to keep Cody from winning safety. Alex wants to target a showmance -- first choice is Mark and Elena, second is Matt and Raven. If she can't get Cody out, she wants to split up one of the couples.

Cody tells Kevin that he would never target Alex, doesn't know why she wants to target him. Kevin is worried what the others think about him talking with Cody but figures if Cody stays and wins HoH, he won't be targeted.

The others think Kevin is being sketchy by talking to Cody. They plan a sort of intervention.

Mark suggests targeting Paul to Jason.

Alex recruits someone to throw the Temptation Comp so they would be the third nominee ... Matt volunteers. Alex's plan is working -- put Mark and Elena on the block (one couple), third nominee a part of another couple. If they can't backdoor Cody, it will break up one couple.

They hear a baby crying. Then a dog barks. Lawnmower? Drums. And on and on. Paul makes up a song to memorize the order of the sounds.

They all drink the green potion in the Den of Temptation to participate in the challenge.

The comp has the yard in a big blueprint of the house. It's not the order they need to remember, it's where they were when they heard the particular noise. Cody plans to throw it so he can be the third nominee and play for veto. He decides to stand in Have Not because he wasn't in that room for any of the noises. Oops! He was indeed in the Have Not room for one of the noises. He got one right!

Mark wins safety while Matt is the third nominee as planned.

Cody knows he's cornered and thinks he needs to wake the others up about Paul being more of a danger to their games than he is.

Jason tells Alex he's willing to go up as a pawn with Elena. Paul comes in and acts like he himself is willing to be a pawn with Elena. Elena is not happy -- "Perpetual Pawn Elena!"

Cody talks to Elena. Cody tells her about Kevin's proposed deal last week. He tries to build trust with Elena, that she will always be on the bottom with Paul's group and Paul needs to go. The others are all doing Paul's dirty work for him.

Cody agrees to take Elena off the block if he wins veto. But, as Christmas points out to us, Mark and Elena aren't working together. Kerfuffle between Mark and Christmas ensues. Mark and Elena are accused of being flip-floppers. Well, they are. Mark even admits it to us.

Nominations today!

Alex says Matt is the third nominee. She nominates Elena, then Jason. Elena, nothing personal. Jason, want to compete in the veto with you.

BB19: Live Feeds iFriday, Temptation Challenge - August 11

Someone told him collar up is cool

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Misguided Millennials:
  • The big news is that the Temptation Challenge already went down.
  • It apparently wasn't the order of the noises, but something about where they were when they heard them.
  • Of course, we don't really know because the feeds were blocked for the comp -- we pick up bits and pieces as they talk about it once the feeds return.
  • Mark once again won a comp! He's getting pretty good at these things. He has safety for the week and cannot be nominated.
  • Matt was the loser, making him the third nominee.
  • The plan is to put Jason up as a pawn.
  • Paul told Alex he owed her one and would understand if she wanted to put him up as a pawn.
  • But Jason and Alex are worried that the house might flip and vote Paul out.
  • So, the next pawn would be Elena.
  • Heh.
  • What's with all the pawns?
  • What about wanting to get Cody out?
  • Well, the plan is Operation Backdoor for Cody.
  • He'll obviously know what's going on when he's not nominated. I'm sure his spidey-senses are already tingling about it.
  • But the hitch here is that a true Backdoor (or, as Nakomis named it -- Six Finger Plan) is that the target has no chance to stay in the game.
  • With so many playing veto, he just might get picked to play. If he plays and wins veto, he's safe no matter if he takes someone off the block or not.
  • That's a pretty big gaping hole in their plan this time 'round.
  • Elena is not a happy camper. She thinks if Cody wins and uses the veto, she would be the one voted out.
  • Oh, gee. That would be so horrible.
  • NOT!
  • She then claimed that she didn't want to be up with people she liked.
  • Oh my. They are both men, right?
  • Now, the nominations ceremony hasn't happened yet. But they have all been talking about it. It seems to be pretty set that Elena and Jason, with Matt as the third nominee, will be on the block.
  • Christmas and company (Paul, Jason, Kevin and Alex) think the house will split once Cody leaves.
  • If Cody stays this week, the house will stay united in the effort to get him out.
  • No one wants to work with him.
  • For his part, Cody is doing okay. He's occasionally mingling and, while not the life of the party, is being as cordial as Cody can be.
  • Christmas told Kevin that she wants to keep Matt and Raven around longer than Mark and Elena because they're still working with them.
  • I guess she's thinking Mark and Elena have gone rogue or something.
  • What about Josh? Where does he stand? He thinks he stands with Christmas, Paul, Alex, Jason and Kevin.
  • But he's Expendable Man.
  • Cue circus music.
  • Cody told Elena the deal that Kevin offered him a few days ago. You know, the one that went off the table with the physical threats.
  • He didn't tell her it's off. He might not actually know that Kevin no longer wants to work with him.
  • Cody told Elena that, if he stays, he'll go after Paul, Kevin. Jason and Alex.
  • Why? Because they're all disloyal to him! Um. I don't think Paul was disloyal to him. At least not until after Cody was disloyal to him in the beginning of the season. Heck, neither had any real loyalty to each other.
  • Cody promised Elena if he won PoV, he'd take her off the block.
  • Okay. Then Alex could put Raven up there!
  • I'd like to see either or both Elena and Raven gone.

Going through the order of the noises

Operation Backdoor will fail if he wins veto

He looks at ease, but he's not

BB19: Temptation Challenge and Nominations Show Blog Party - August 6

As the show airs here, I'll be live-blogging and constantly updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

Recap starts off with the Josh/Mark fiasco. Recap, recap.

Mark is worried, but he and Josh have made up. Josh tells him he won't be provoking him again. Mark hopes all is cool with him. Jessica and Cody are (rightfully) worried.

Paul points out how unhappy Mark and Elena seem to be with Josh's win. Alex points out to Josh in front of Mark that his "face was down" when Josh won. She has a long talk with Mark, starting out with an argument. She accuses him of playing both sides. He admits doing so to us.

Josh thinks he actually has four targets -- Cody, Jessica, Elena and Mark. Paul wants him to go after Jessica and Cody. Christmas points out that it's Josh's HoH, not Paul's. So ... it's to become Christmas's HoH? She wants Mark or Elena out because they're floaters.

A talk between Josh and Elena doesn't seem to help improve her standing in his book.

Paul thinks Jessica needs to go first out of the four targets. Christmas takes Josh aside and tells him she loves Paul, but don't do everything he says. She told him that he needs to be nice to all four.

Heh, Elena is definitely Josh's target. He thinks she's very influential to others while Jessica and Cody will always be targets. Josh thinks others don't see what he sees in the threat of Elena.

The Den of Temptation voice speaks to them warning them the comp will be in the morning. Jessica and Cody think they don't have much to lose and will both play in the comp. They hope one wins safety, the other might win veto.

Everybody except Christmas is drinking the potion to play. (No wonder the feeds were blocked for over ten hours for the comp!)

They have to find three written clues in the haunted house that will seal the rift between two worlds. Evil scary things are jumping out at them as they do the challenge individually. Jessica's plan was to throw the comp so Cody could win. She does just that.

Mark 7.06
Kevin 3.11
Elena 12.31
Jason 12.07
Jessica 15.0
Raven 9.0
Cody 3.0
Matt 3.42
Alex 3.06
Paul 3.34

Cody is safe. Jessica is the third nominee. Elena is worried that she will go on the block. Mark is just as upset.

Paul thinks they should target Jessica and not let her be saved with the veto. Josh still wants Elena out. Paul tells Josh to tell Elena it's a team effort and she's a pawn. Josh tells us again that she's his target.

Elena doubts Josh's reasoning that she is a good competitor and that's why she's a pawn. Josh thinks she's throwing Paul "under the rug." So he brings Paul in on the conversation. She kerfuffles about it but he says she will go up as a pawn.

Nominations ceremony time.

Josh nominates ... Mark, then Elena.

Mark, not really familia. Elena, good competitor. Josh tells Jessica he's gunning for her.

BB19: Live Feeds Friday Daytime, Temptation Challenge - July 28

Keeping Kevin at arm's distance

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Whirling Dervishes:
  • Most of the conversations of last night held into today.
  • Elena is all kinds of grumpy.
  • She blames Mark for their showmance and the perception that they are together.
  • Sure, she's just an innocent victim.
  • The feeds were blocked early so they could tell them about the Temptation Comp.
  • Jessica and Cody talked of the wisdom of Cody participating in the comp.
  • Neither Jessica nor Cody tried it.
  • The feeds were blocked for most of the afternoon (with puppy cam) as the comp played out.
  • Oh my ... Mark seems to have won!
  • Even though he's in a neon green tutu.
  • Jason was the last in the comp and is the third nominee.
  • What will Paul do now?
  • Paul is almost positive that Jessica and Cody are bluffing about her temptation.
  • She is. She has the Halting Hex, but it's not something that will keep both her and Cody safe for two weeks as she's been telling them.
  • If Jason wins veto and pulls himself off the block, Paul can't replace him.
  • Josh has been warned that he might be used as a pawn.
  • Paul has serious thoughts of putting either Jessica or Cody up (or both) and seeing what happens.
  • Elena's name is getting tossed around as a backdoor.
  • All is up in the air now.
  • His Plan A is Jessica and Cody.
  • Hmm.
  • More later.

Puppy cam!
