Big Brother 13 Live Feeds Into Sunday Night 8/07

Eek! Stranger in the house!

I realize that I didn't update much today. However, little of real game interest happened until this evening. Sure, Adam had his birthday, but they hid that from us. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Shelly Blue Persuasion:
  • So much for the arrival of their grill. First off, it came on a Have/Have Not week, not the best choice.
  • Then they had to wait out the lockdown inside as BB cleaned the yard from the PoV comp.
  • So they finally got outside and ready to play with their new playtoy when music started wafting into the compound.
  • Yeah, I know it's a yard.
  • But compound always sounds so much more official.
  • It turns out that there was a wedding or something nearby the house. Can't have that noise!
  • So they ended up lockdowned again inside the house.
  • Yes, I know lockdowned isn't a word. But in the BB house it is!
  • They finally got to cook at about 2:45 AM their time.
  • Of course, that means that they sleep late and Sunday's usually kind of a nothing day anyway.
  • The big daytime event was Adam shaving.
  • Oh my. Now he looks like the principal on Room 222.
  • Yes, I dated myself with that reference. Live with it, please.
  • Okay ... remember Rachel gave Kalia a big long (and civil) talk about putting someone on the block who would pretty much guarantee her (Rachel's) safety this week.
  • Kalia (and Daniele) had been leaning towards putting Adam on the block with Rachel to clinch Rachel getting evicted.
  • Rachel didn't come out and mention names, but it's Porsche she wants as Jeff's replacement.
  • And, Kalia knows that. Porsche is the most likely to be voted out of the remaining hamsters.
  • So what happens tonight?
  • Shelly went to Kalia with just about the same talk albeit naming names.
  • She pointed out that Porsche can't be trusted by either side and, if she were to return in the twist, she isn't as big a threat.
  • Shelly, using her mind persuasion mojo, worked just about every angle.
  • Kalia sat there mesmerized, almost to the point of being in a daze.
  • The rough part would be convincing Daniele it was in their best interest and, if Porsche goes, there could be a truce ... for a week or so.
  • Kalia went over the "idea" with Jeff who was agreeable, but said he didn't really want to commit to any deals until he sees that Porsche is indeed on the block.
  • When she talked it over with Daniele, Daniele (of course) didn't like it.
  • But Kalia also wants to show she makes her own decisions and isn't merely Daniele's puppet.
  • Nah, but it could be Shelly pulling those strings.
  • Once again, I really am impressed by Shelly's gameplay. She went to Jeff to let her know she set it up.
  • If all works and Kalia is happy with the results, she knows it was Shelly's doing.
  • As a viewer, I'm a bit concerned.
  • The hamsters only know that the person evicted might come back.
  • They don't know that there is a possibility of one already evicted coming back.
  • Now, if the house sends Porsche packing this week, it's guaranteed that Cassi, Dominic or Brendon could beat her.
  • We might as well leave Keith out of things. I don't think America has him in mind at all.
  • Hmmm ...
  • We won't know until tomorrow (today) who Kalia will nominate to replace Jeff.

Jeff in his cool boy cap.

Rachel has never seen a bad feeds shot of herself.

Shelly worked her mojo on Kalia.

Big Brother 13 - Aug. 7 Nominations Episode Blog Party

Photobucket

The show is about to start here on the East Coast. As it airs, I'll update this entry with major events. But the real fun is in the comments and I hope you all join in!

Ready for drama?

Okay, Rachel cried a lot, then tried to suck up to Kalia. Adam de-elfed.

Have Have Not -- Bad food gone bad drinking game. You know, the disgusting challenge!

Jordan, Jeff, Shelly and Rachel are the Have Nots. America voted coconut and catfish to accompany slop.

Sidenote: If fools vote Brendon back in, this week will be anti-climactic. They would make a deal, Brendon would come back in the house, Rachel to jury, they both get the full stipend for the summer. Anyone but Brendon, PLEASE.

Nominations - Key order - Happy birthday Adam, Porsche, Daniele, Jordan, Lawon, Shelly. Jeff and Rachel are nominated. Kalia says it's her own decision.

Off Topic - That Was the Week It Was - August 7, 2011

It's Sunday morning, once again time for my off television weekly reflection on the week gone by in both words and photographs I've taken. If you're looking for the most recent BB13 live feeds update, check out the post previous to this one. I'll be posting more on that a bit later today.

One nice thing (for me) with recovering from the knee replacement surgery is that the hectic pace of life gets slowed down a bit. I know some people are antsy and have to be on the run doing this or that all the time. But that's not me. I actually enjoy having time to smell the roses and be an observer of life. My job will still be there when I return (as a matter of fact they just called me this week with a "what do I do" panic). It's so relaxing to take an extended break, yet not be in a horrible recovery like the left knee was.

This past week, I thought of the three downtown areas I tend to frequent here in New Jersey -- Plainfield (where I live), Scotch Plains and Westfield. For towns so close together, they immensely differ.

Plainfield's downtown is a bit urban gritty, dollar stores and ethnic (or ALL kinds, with an emphasis on Latino) eateries abound. People say hello, g'morning and "howyadoin" as I pass by on the sidewalks which are mainly frequented by folks outside of my own personal demographic -- a middle-aged Caucasian woman. Yet I feel it's a friendly place. Kids don't gather in huge groups bothering pedestrians, yet the occasional street person might ask for money. I will admit I rarely roam the streets at night, but in the daytime hours I feel perfectly safe.

Westfield is the other extreme with its Coach, Ann Taylor, etc. top of the line stores. I do like Westfield, often going to Trader Joe's, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Coldstone Creamery or just to photostomp Mindowaskin Park. People don't say hello often in Westfield. Huge throngs of teenagers block the sidewalks, often making me feel uncomfortable as I try to get through them. In Plainfield, groups of kids that large would be moved along. In Westfield, they apparently own the streets. Well, them and the outdoor seating for the eateries. Some of the restaurants take up most of the walking areas and make walking by a bit tricky at times. Oh ... and the diversity level is markedly different from Plainfield.

Then there's Scotch Plains, the smallest of the three towns. I like its little downtown swath I frequent for my physical therapy. The mix of folks on the sidewalks is pretty much a cross between Plainfield and Westfield. But I don't get the hellos as often on the sidewalks as I do in Plainfield. I like both meat markets in town, so that makes it a destination place for me. But other than physical therapy, a branch of my bank and a CVS, there isn't much for me to browse about like I have in Plainfield or Westfield.

Overall, I'll take Plainfield, warts and all. It's the friendliest place I've ever lived and it doesn't matter that I'm different from most of the folks living near me or frequenting the downtown area.

Okay, now that I'm through with that -- my knee is doing well again after a setback last week. The quad muscle, which is one of the hardest things to heal after it's cut or "divided" in the surgery, managed to suffer a strain or pull in physical therapy. It's still more puffy than it was pre-strain and is giving me some issues, but not crippling like last week. My stamina level is still a bit off, but getting dressed for the day or washing my dishes no longer exhausts me. I only went back and forth to PT this week, did my exercises at home and took it relatively easy, not doing anything at all which put a strain on the knee. So it should be good!

Because I didn't do a heck of a lot, my photo taking was a bit limited, too. Here are this week's photos -- clicking on an image will open it larger in a new window.

What the Scotch Plains 9/11 Memorial will look like.

They did a lot more work on the memorial this week. I'm thinking they might want it done for the 10th anniversary next month.

Pheasant, elk and alligator, oh my!

This is a sign in the window of John's Meat Market in Scotch Plains. Although not in my regular diet and some years back for some of these, I believe I've eaten everything but elk and alligator in my lifetime. I'm not sure what alligator tastes like. Chicken?

The Stage House Tavern

I'm always tempted to peek in, but I'm always in Scotch Plains in fairly early daytime hours. I don't want to eat alone, nor do I dare get a drink because if I'm there, chances are I've taken my pain meds (for physical therapy).

Beware, speed and the cannon goes off!

The cannon in the median on Front Street at the intersection with Park Avenue in Scotch Plains.

Gazebo gazing

The inside of the gazebo roof in the park in Scotch Plains. I did a bit of photo editing on this shot to give it more intense detailing. When I have my noon appointment at PT, there's always an older gentleman sitting there. I've started talking to him as I pass by. His English is very limited. The first day I greeted him, he told me, "Little English, I'm Egyptian ... CHRISTIAN!" I felt bad that he feels he needs to add the "Christian" bit. Heck, I have lots of friends dealing with fasting right now for Ramadan. It makes things more interesting when everyone comes from different walks of life.

Battle of the brews?

A Miller Lite truck vs. a Bud Light truck as they deliver to the Stage House Tavern.

A shame I only had the knee replaced, huh?

Out of context, this part of a sign conjures up all sorts of one-liners. It's at a manicure/pedicure/waxing place in Scotch Plains.

National Night Out set-up in Scotch Plains

I stayed in. I was thinking of stopping by the festivities in Plainfield, but didn't want to stress my knee by being on my feet for so long.

Hey! My bus stop is blocked off!

This was Tuesday morning on East Second Street and Berckman in Plainfield. A house fire up the street had everything blocked off. There was quite a bit of damage to the house, but thankfully no or just minor injuries. And, yes, my bus stopped for me even though I was on the wrong corner.

Am I boring you, Vincent?

The least you could do is cover your mouth when you yawn like that! Vincent is still enjoying more attention from me every day. I've decided that his previous "master" must have taught him to heel as he walks right beside me like a dog room to room. He's a good companion, for sure!

How was your week?

Big Brother 13 Live Feeds Into Saturday Afternoon 8/06

For me, Jeff will always be the clear choice to stay.

Okay, so we had more mini-brouhahas in the house. The surprising part was some of the action was Jordan-based. Yes, dear sweet never gets riled Jordan. She's ashamed of her behavior and hopes her mother and grandparents aren't embarrassed. Of course, what she did is SO minor compared to the behavior of other hamsters!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Frustrated Froot Loops:
  • Last night, before the nominations, Jeff and Jordan confronted Kalia.
  • Everyone figured Rachel would be on the block. That was a no-brainer.
  • But Kalia told Jeff she wanted him to win the veto. Later he said he first thought she meant to pick him as a houseguest's choice.
  • Nope, she wants him to win it by putting him on the block with Rachel.
  • Jeff is the remaining alpha male in the house and the most likely to win a comp outside of Rachel.
  • Jordan automatically thought that the plan would be to put her up as a pawn against Rachel.
  • She apparently slammed her key down and yelled at Kalia that she might as well keep her key out, too!
  • This, of course, was blocked to us feedsters.
  • Jeff has been losing his temper, but Jordan had a really, really bad day yesterday -- going on slop with a fish alternative once again (she hates fish) after barely eating last week, Jeff (and Rachel) on the block, thinking she'll go on the block if either pulls themselves off.
  • Jeff and Jordan have taken their vows to take care of Rachel much too seriously.
  • I mean, being nice to her is one thing.
  • But the girl is definitely poison in the game. They should be backing away from her a bit as if she just might have leprosy and they could catch it if they grow too close.
  • The good news is they got a gas grill yesterday. The bad news is that Jeff, the main grill and cooking dude, is on slop.
  • Being around all of the crying women is driving Jeff crazy.
  • He's point-blank asked Rachel how Brendon puts up with her and told her she's crazy.
  • Jordan told Rachel she's like a cyclone or hurricane destroying everything in her path then coming back to normal like nothing ever happened.
  • Surprisingly, Rachel is taking all of this well and takes no offense.
  • Kalia will NOT put Jordan on the block, not even as a pawn. She won't. She promised Jordan and will stick to it.
  • Jordan and Jeff are still leery that Jordan will go up.
  • Kalia, Rachel, Jeff, Jordan, Adam and Shelly played for veto.
  • Kalia decided that whenever Rachel was down, she could give up. The main thing she told Adam was that she did NOT want Rachel to win.
  • Jeff, Jordan and Rachel have really twisted around what Julie Chen said to them about this week's evicted hamster MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE to come back into the house.
  • They're acting like it's a done deal -- whomever is evicted WILL come back and all three will go after Kalia.
  • Jeff, of course, won the veto (as I announced earlier).
  • Rachel, after the requisite ton o' tears, actually went and had a long civil talk with Kalia.
  • She falsely thinks that she has a chance to stay in the house if Kalia puts the right person against her (Porsche), but names no names.
  • She's worried that if Adam goes up against her, she will be voted out.
  • Kalia has been thinking Adam as the pawn but has no idea how Rachel heard about it.
  • Kalia also thinks, going over the numbers, that anyone she puts up against Rachel would mean a Rachel exit.
  • All she needs is three votes and she's the tie-breaker.
  • Once again, she said she will never put Jordan on the block.
  • She's thinking Shelly or Adam, but wants Rachel out even though she admits she's seen a more human side of Rachel.
  • We won't know until Monday who's going up as Jeff's replacement.
  • One thing we can be sure of ... Jeff will NOT use his PoV to save Rachel!

Shelly is still trying to play both sides

A full report will be posted a bit later, but here's the skinny:

Jeff won the power of veto!

Big Brother 13 Live Feeds Through Friday 8/06 - Nominations

Gee thanks, BB. Give Kalia crunchy snacks!

I was ready for a total Rachel meltdown and didn't get it. Sure, there were sniffles and snuffles here and there, but no major freak-out. Good for her! How is Kalia handling being the first newbie Queen Bee?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House Fighting Factions:
  • Porsche seems to be one confused gal. After all, she's been Rachel's buddy, Jeff and Jordan's buddy and Daniele's buddy. I guess this week she'll be Kalia's buddy.
  • That's a bit different from Adam who gets along with everyone and just tends to vote as to not rock the boat.
  • Lawon, of course, has become Kalia's pal despite all of the pushing she did early on to get him on the block.
  • Maybe she just wanted the golden key float.
  • Alas, true to their word, Jeff and Jordan have taken Rachel under their wing.
  • They keep pep-talking her and massaging her self-esteem.
  • Kalia thinks Jeff and Jordan are mad that she won HoH.
  • Well, probably. It may have to do with the Daniele connection rather than Kalia herself. They had the deal with Daniele to remain safe this week, no such deal with Kalia.
  • Of course, Kalia and Jordan still have that deal to never put each other up.
  • But that doesn't include Jeff.
  • They're all thinking whoever gets voted out this week will come back.
  • Except Adam, that is. He thinks it will be more like a Redemption Island twist.
  • He's right.
  • Daniele told Kalia that her targets are Rachel, Jeff and Jordan in that order.
  • Shelly keeps rotating around, siding with whatever side is within earshot and eavesdropping on them all.
  • Jordan and Rachel think that Porsche should go home because she's a "total floater."
  • When are these hamsters going to get it through their heads that floaters often have their own game. Adam comes to mind..
  • But, yeah ... Porsche is a floater.
  • And Adam's game is sorely lacking any skill other than being a good bacon buffoon.
  • Rachel tried to suck up to Kalia telling her she's proud of her win -- first newbie HoH. She told her she doesn't really expect anything, but if she doesn't get nominated this week and wins HoH next, she won't nominate her (Kalia).
  • She actually handled it well. Brendon is probably thinking, "You're not supposed to talk game without ME!"
  • Daniele, unlike Kalia, can't bear to converse civilly with Rachel. She doesn't want to talk to her at all.
  • Kalia still feels the sting from NO ONE cheering her on in the endurance comp.
  • Then the food comp came, sinking Jeff, Jordan and Rachel down a bit deeper.
  • Jeff, Jordan, Rachel and Shelly are Have Nots.
  • I got my wish, though -- they have catfish and coconuts.
  • Unfortunately, Jordan hates fish. She barely ate last week, now has another week of it ahead.
  • Jordan is pouting and in tears on and off.
  • But she's better at it than Rachel -- she actually growls on and off.
  • Kalia told Jeff that if she puts him up, he's the pawn.
  • He blew up at her.
  • After a long feeds block again ... it's Rachel and Jeff on the block.
  • Rachel is freaking out at Jordan, of all people.
  • She wants to quit the game.
  • Jordan, of course, is in her own tough spot -- she might lose Jeff!
  • Yet she's trying to deal with Rachel.
  • Rachel claims that she figured she was being nominated, but that Kalia didn't have to tell her she was catty and everything.
  • It's going to be a long week in the house ...

Doing better than I thought she would

Not a happy camper

Almost sorry she got HoH

Big Brother 13 - The Live Feeds Trashbag Wedding

Apparently they didn't have time for it in the show, but CBS has put an edited version of the trashbag wedding of Rachel and Brendon up on the website. Here it is for your enjoyment:

Big Brother 13 8/04 Live Eviction/HoH Episode Blog Party

Photobucket

The show is about to start here on the East Coast. As it airs, I'll update this entry with major events. But the real fun is in the comments and I hope you all join in!

Tonight's show should be VERY interesting!

Rachel is crying. Oh wait ... that's par for the course and not a major update.

Evel Dick commentary on Daniele's gameplay ... he thinks she's playing badly. He thinks she's playing too hard, too fast.

Pre-vote spech time -- Brendon -- Shout-outs to family and love of Rachel, cries (gag), cries some more. Jordan -- Long week, stressful, wants to be here and with Jeff, loves them all, vote who you think will get you further in the game.

The votes to evict --
Jeff -- Brendon (duh)
Rachel -- Jordan (duh)
Commercial break.
Kalia -- Brendon
Adam -- Brendon
Porsche -- Jordan
Lawon -- Brendon
Shelly -- Brendon

No surprises there. Brendon is evicted. YAY! Now he's crying to Julie.

New twist - gather in living room. Think carefully about how you play the game this week because the next houseguest you evict might be back in the game. The previously evicted (of our choice) gets to battle next week's evicted to return. On the website.

HoH comp -- Giant chessboard on the lawn called Checkmate. Face off on podium about first three evicted HG.

Kalia eliminated Jordan ...chose Lawon and Rachel. Rachel eliminated Lawon. She chose Kalia and Adam. Kalia got it again, chose Rachel and Porsche. Rachel eliminated herself and swore by wrong answer. Jeff and Shelly -- Shelly won. Kalia and Porsche -- Kalia won, now against Shelly for HoH ...

KALIA IS THE NEW HEAD OF HOUSE!

Big Brother 13 Live Feeds - Thursday Drama 8/04

Jordan reacts to Rachel's never-ending sobbing

Shelly shoots herself over Rachel's never-ending sobbing

See! Rachel's own issues have driven the others in the house into severe psychosis! Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Psychotic Reaction:
  • Rachel has talked both about walking out with Brendon tonight and/or just quitting the competing.
  • She says she'll float and smile and laugh at everyone's jokes, won't try anymore.
  • In the midst of all of this, I did pick up her saying (before feeds were cut) that the show ruined her life last year and how they (her and Brendon) didn't even get any follow-up therapy.
  • She also said (before feeds were cut again) that the DR pretty much told her that her problems are her own fault and she's being crazy.
  • Well, um. Yes.
  • She has cried for the most part since the Daniele blow-up yesterday.
  • Wearing her rose-colored glasses for a mind trip, she claims that she honestly believed there was a chance of Brendon staying and Jordan getting voted out before that incident.
  • Huh? Sorry, gal ... but Brendon NEVER had/has a chance against Jordan. He's tainted goods. Plus, he IS a big competitive threat in the house.
  • But now, in her mind, Daniele the Super Villain has ruined the chances of Brendon staying.
  • While moping this morning saying that she's giving up competing, Shelly tried to console her and give her a pep talk.
  • No, Rachel prefers to pout, sulk, cry and use up all the toilet tissue on blowing her nose.
  • Act or not?
  • Some of it is definitely a "feel sorry for me" pity party act. But as I watch her, it makes me feel like the most psychologically balanced person in the whole world.
  • That's by comparison, of course. I have my own issues. But I'm not stupid enough to expose them to the world. After all, it could ruin my reputation, job possibilities, relations with family and friends.
  • Oh wait. That's what RACHEL did.
  • She claims that being on the show ruined her life.
  • So she went on it again.
  • All for the $750 a week stipend because she couldn't get a job because the show ruined her life.
  • She keeps going on about how she has nothing and is no good.
  • That is sad. For sure.
  • But she put herself in the situation not once, but twice.
  • Nothing Jordan or Shelly said to her sunk in.
  • She still says she isn't going to compete anymore, she'll just float along.
  • At this point, I'm dreading the leaked hamster return bit. I so hope that Brendon is indeed gone. Then we'll see if Rachel has any game without him or if she's totally hopeless.
  • Whatever the case, she's secured her stipend for the rest of the summer.
  • Unless she walks out with Brendon, that is.
  • I don't think that will happen.

Too bad, so sad.
Yeah, right.

Big Brother 13 Live Feeds Into Wednesday Night 8/03

"What is WRONG with you?" - to Rachel

After the house got together for last night's trashbag wedding, you'd think everything would be sunshine and lollipops today, right? Ha. Any of you folks who have been following me for a while know there's nothing I enjoy more than a good brouhaha. And, to me, the best brouhaha is one that's absolutely senseless and causes a hamster I don't enjoy to self-implode. BOOM! Some drama fo' yo' mama!

I know it's a cruel dark side of me, but it's so much better than ME acting out and making a fool of myself on television! Here's today's happenings from inside that Big Brother House of Ridiculous Rachel Rants:
  • While the day started out quiet enough, it all went to heck in a handbasket before long.
  • First, Rachel went around talking to others about how Brendon needs to stay because Jordan already won the game once.
  • It would be SO unfair if Jordan won a second time.
  • She gave the speech to Shelly, Porsche and Adam at different times.
  • Of course, word got back to Jeff and Jordan.
  • Brendon and Rachel think Jeff and Jordan have a deal with Daniele.
  • Jeff went to talk to Rachel and Brendon about not throwing others under the bus even though they're campaigning.
  • He did so very diplomatically without throwing any of the informants under said reality TV bus.
  • But that's not the brouhaha.
  • It upset Rachel, but not to the point of implosion.
  • That is yet to come.
  • And it's so darn stupid of her that I can only repeat what Daniele said to her as it was hitting the fan ...
  • "What is WRONG with you, Rachel?"
  • It all started out innocently enough.
  • Daniele told Adam and Shelly that she gave their people "shout-outs" on her HoH blog. She mentioned Adam's girlfriend and told Shelly's daughter Josie to have a good first day of school and her husband to put a heart on her hand for her.
  • I've read enough HoH blogs to know that sometimes they mention other players' people or events.
  • They do.
  • They really do.
  • Shelly stepped outside in tears at both the thoughtfulness of Daniele to mention it and missing her daughter.
  • All of a sudden, we see Rachel storming around the kitchen slamming together a sandwich or something, ignoring Porsche, Lawon and Kalia who were having fun nearby.
  • Rachel storms into the Diary Room, comes out a few minutes later, then storms up to the HoH room.
  • Getting very snotty and into a situation in men would have a "pissing contest," both went on about two HoH reigns.
  • Of course, this season the BB FOTH button pushers are very quick on the trigger.
  • If a hamster says "pro..." they hit the censor button because they think the hamster is about to talk about production.
  • Geez, they could be talking about PROstitutes!
  • Well, not in this case.
  • But Rachel did get it out that when she yelled in the DR, they said to her, "Well, why don't you go ask Daniele about it?"
  • Rachel claims that they're not allowed to "give shout-outs" for other players.
  • Daniele says no one ever stopped her from doing it before nor has anyone told her she can't.
  • So Rachel thinks Daniele is either lying to Shelly to manipulate her or just manipulating her if she did indeed write it.
  • So then it all goes outside.
  • Brendon backs his sweet Rachel as she lights into Daniele in front of everybody.
  • They both storm into the house.
  • After that, even if someone hates Daniele, they're going to be in her corner about the whole absurd scene!
  • So, the rest of the day so far has been everyone except Brenchel siding with Daniele over the outburst.
  • I'd say, while Daniele can indeed be manipulative, she probably did do the shout-outs just being nice.
  • Rachel, with her dark view of the world and lack of people skills, doesn't seem to understand that sometimes people just do the right and nice things in life without ulterior motives.
  • I hate to say this, but I do feel a bit sorry for Rachel.
  • Just a wee bit.
  • I'm sure I'll get over it.
  • Y'see, in her HOURS of crying to Brendon and saying how she screws up everything, how everybody is going to hate her even more, how she can't even get a job because people hate her, how she wants to go home ...
  • ... I felt a wee bit bad because it is sad that someone has made such a fool of herself in front of the world that their life is probably way whacked.
  • But, she returned to do it a second time.
  • So, my wee bit of sorry for her is quickly dissipating.
  • Will she DOR?
  • I doubt it.
  • But I'm very leery of this "returning" hamster tomorrow night.
  • Anyone but Brendon.
  • Please.

Jeff in the sun

Rachel tries for the elf vote

Shelly cries after hearing Daniele gave
a shout-out to her Josie on the HoH blog.

Rachel cries because ...
well, because she's Rachel
and is once again proving it.

Big Brother 13 August 3 PoV Episode Blog Party

Photobucket

The show is about to start here on the East Coast. As it airs, I'll update this entry with major events. But the real fun is in the comments and I hope you all join in! Tonight is the Power of Veto (old news to us!) and I really hope they have the Brenchel trash wedding footage -- some of the most fun in ages with Lawon being the real star! Oh ... and if you haven't read my previous show post, take a gander. Sigh ...

On with the party!

Veto player pickin' time - Daniele, Brendon and Rachel are joined by Jeff, Adam (Rachel chose him and said it sarcastically), Porsche. Lawon is the host.

The veto is a combination of the past comps this season with Lawon wearing a huge Flava Flav clock. They have to guess the time it takes to complete a task, then the fastest guess must do the task within the time of the guess.

Rachel knocked out Adam in the first round.
Rachel knocked herself out in the second round.
Daniele knocked herself out in the third round.
Jeff came close, but knocked himself out in the fourth round.
It's between Brendon and Porsche.
Brendon wins the Power of Veto!

America's vote - coconuts and catfish, raisins and rhubarb and um ... um ... I forget.

Brendon is trying to convince everybody that he's going to save himself when he's actually planning to save his beloved Rachel. GAG.

Veto meeting time. Rachel does her little speech. He saves Rachel, perfect! Daniele, as previously discussed with Jeff and Jordan, puts Jordan in Rachel's place. It's now Jordan and Brendon on the block.

The Have Not food choice is up.

Big Brother 13 - No No No Comebacks Please!

Sometimes the loading bit hits the nail on the head ... or on the nose! But that's not why I'm here.

I never think it's fair when evicted people return to the game. They're evicted, gone, let the game go on. But Allison Grodner, much akin to her creepy liking of Jessie and Brenchel, likes these things.

Apparently the next America's Vote has us voting one of the evictees back into the house. Everyone is included except Evel Dick. Keith, Cassi and Dominic have all been sequestered since eviction, so they're fair game. Plus, the CBS site is including BRENDON in the poll on the assumption he's gonzo tomorrow night.

The poll was posted for mere moments on the CBS BB13 site (which has a makeover I absolutely hate) and I tried to get there to no avail. But thanks to hamsterwatch.com (get your live feeds through her if you plan to pick them up) and zap2it.com, there is a screen capture.

If idiots vote Brendon back in, I swear heads will roll!

A truly trashy wedding

Well. last night wasn't your typical evening in the BB13 house. Oh, sure ... there was still a bit of scheming. You can't be in that house without a bit of treachery and deceit. But we had the social event of the season happen right before our very eyes. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of the Trashbag Dream Wedding:
  • As much as I don't care for Brendon or Rachel, this was really fun. Everyone in the house got involved, even their arch nemesis Daniele.
  • The trashy theme was perfect for the couple.
  • Lawon was a hoot as he performed the ceremony with a mix of gospel and street church.
  • Jordan caught the bouquet, Jeff the garter.
  • Hmmm.
  • The sang "For She's a Jolly Good Fellow" in lieu of anything else because that song is public domain.
  • Elf Adam was the ringbearer.
  • Rachel made up a wedding vow poem which included "no one will come between me and my man."
  • Brendon's vow included a nod to ABC instead of CBS. Wanna bet that won't air on the show? He said he chose ABC because they air The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
  • BB even gave them a bottle of champagne.
  • Amidst all of the wedding preparation and celebration, it's still Big Brother.
  • Since most of the house will target either Rachel or Daniele this week after Brendon goes on Thursday, Jeff and Jordan's NOT wanting to get HoH makes sense. They're down there on the list of targets.
  • At least, for the moment.
  • Adam is seriously studying for the HoH comp, hoping it's questions.
  • Lawon told Daniele (not Brenchel) that he'd put up Rachel and Shelly.
  • Not that I think he'd win a comp at all, but I also think he'd entertain the idea of nominating Jeff, Jordan or Daniele with Rachel.
  • He's sneaky.
  • Daniele thinks that Rachel was rude to them after everyone worked so hard on the mock wedding for them.
  • Oh, c'mon Daniele. It's Rachel.

Rachel's happy ...
... when she's the center of attention

Just wait until she's playing the game without her Poookie! Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Bacherlor/Bachelorette Bashes:
  • As I told you yesterday, Brendon decided to be all gallant and saved Rachel with the veto.
  • Daniele, who previously discussed it with Jordan and Jeff, put Jordan on the block against Brendon as Jordan was the safest pawn.
  • In a way, Daniele is very happy because her main target was Brendon, not Rachel.
  • Yet she scrambled before the meeting and afterward too, making sure Jordan had the votes to stay.
  • Everyone was a bit surprised because Brendon, despite always saying he would save Rachel, had changed his tune the past day or so -- saying he would take himself off the block.
  • Which, of course, would be the wiser thing to do gamewise.
  • But, for me, Rachel without Brendon might perk up the feeds some!
  • Jordan isn't doing well with the Have Not foods. She's barely eating, consisting mostly on pickles. She doesn't like the sardines and seaweed, the slop goes right through her and she's just not eating much at all.
  • But she isn't complaining. The others keep trying to get her to eat.
  • Jordan is a bit worried about being on the block even though everyone keeps telling her she's safe.
  • She's worried that Brendon is running around making deals.
  • Kalia, as usual, has a focus on the money. Previously she mentioned how she wants to make the jury to get the full $8,500 stipend ($750 a week). Now she's saying how bad it must be to go out this week and just miss the full stipend.
  • Rachel is leery of her ally, Porsche.
  • As she should be.
  • Shelly, once again, sucked up to Brenchel telling them how unfair it is that they're being split up and what good people they really are.
  • Really?
  • Blech. Pardon me if I go be ill for a moment!
  • Rachel told Porsche she won't talk to Daniele for the rest of the summer.
  • After all, Daniele separated her from her man!
  • Rachel said that Daniele is worse than Britney was last year.
  • Adam has assured both Jordan and Daniele that Jordan has his vote to stay.
  • However, he's wisely not making any promises but acting interested in what Brenchel has to say.
  • Brendon thinks that Porsche is trying to manipulate Rachel and shouldn't be trusted.
  • Daniele told Kalia that she really wants Rachel out next week.
  • Well, duh.
  • Then the fun started -- Adam, Porsche and Lawon came up with a relatively tame "stripper" dance for Rachel and Brendon's bachelor/bachelorette party.
  • I hate to say it, but Adam dances better than I do.
  • Fun was had by all.
  • Even me as I watched it.
  • Porsche told Daniele she won't nominate or backdoor her next week -- she'd go after Lawon, Kalia or Shelly.
  • I don't believe that.
  • I don't think Daniele really does either.
  • Rachel cried after she went to the DR to tape her goodbye message.
  • Nothing to see here, move along.
  • Daniele told Porsche how Brenchel came to her trying to get her to put Porsche on the block and how she's expendable to them.
  • Meanwhile, the rest of the vet crew is talking about how worthless Porsche is in the game and they don't trust her.
  • When Brendon saw Porsche, he told her she shouldn't hang out with Daniele or people will think they're working together.
  • He also asked Porsche who she'd put up on the block -- Daniele and maybe Shelly.
  • Hmm.
  • Jordan talked to Adam about throwing the next HoH to him (so they won't be in the spot to put up Daniele or offend Rachel).
  • He's agreeable. He just doesn't want it to be endurance.
  • Huh. I wonder why endurance scares him.
  • Oh, yeah. It's because he sucks at anything physical.
  • Except strip-dancing, that is.
  • That's pretty much where things stand now.

Big Brother 13 Live Feeds Bulletin - PoV Meeting

The PoV meeting, blocked to the feeds, is finally over. Brendon used the PoV to save Rachel. Yes! I'd rather see her self-implode than him, more drama! As expected, Daniele put Jordan up as the pawn against him.

Preparing for the trashiest wedding ever

First, let's all say happy 30th birthday to MTV. It doesn't seem like it's been that long, but I miss the earlier years when I actually wanted my MTV. Okay, let's go on with what's been going on inside that Big Brother House of Bridezilla and Brendon:
  • All summer long and right after he won the veto, Brendon's been telling folks that if he and Rachel were on the block together and he won the veto, he'd save Rachel.
  • Now it's seeming like that's not quite what might happen.
  • If he saves himself, he's basically a stronger player. No, he'd never make it to the end game, but he'd put up a fight.
  • If Rachel stays, she'd likely only be able to team up with Porsche and there's a huge possibility she'd self-implode.
  • Personally, I'd rather see Rachel stay over Brendon. I think the drama would be better.
  • Daniele is in a dilemma.
  • She seems to honestly want to keep her deal with Jordan and Jeff, at least for the time being.
  • If it's between Rachel and Jordan (the safest pawn), Rachel would have Brendon and Porsche votes for sure.
  • Daniele, Jeff and Jordan aren't sure of Shelly's vote, but I think she'd want to keep Jordan.
  • If Daniele puts up Porsche with Rachel, the only good thing about that is that it would eliminate one vote to keep Rachel.
  • So, Sunday was a day of lazing about and trying to figure out exactly what Brendon will do with the veto -- save himself or Rachel.
  • It rained in the morning there, which surprised them.
  • It rained overnight here. I wasn't surprised.
  • Daniele had long talks with Jeff and Jordan, then Adam.
  • They're all on the same page.
  • They believe that if Jordan is up against Rachel, she has Jeff, Lawon, Adam and Kalia backing her up.
  • Porsche, meanwhile, thinks she's a great game player, a super strong woman in comps and that she's going to be backdoored.
  • In the end, despite all the talk and scheming, no one really knows what will happen until after the veto meeting today.
  • If they're thinking game, Brendon should save himself.
  • If he's thinking chivalry and all, he'll save her.
  • I think he might very well end up saving her.
  • In other news, when they were talking about Natalie's trash bag pants, they decided that Brendon and Rachel should have the trashiest wedding ever.
  • As is fitting, of course.
  • Jordan, Shelly, Porsche and even Kalia worked hard to fashion a trash bag and aluminum foil gown for Rachel.
  • They even made roses out of trash bags and foil.
  • Everything ended up looking really nice.
  • But it is trashy for trashy reality "stars."
  • One thing is certain ... after Thursday, one of them is gonzo. The wedding bells have between now and then to ring.
