Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Monday into the Evening, Renom - July 27

Blindslided

Well, she finally made up her mind. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of  You Can't Tell Everybody They're Safe and Expect it to Work:
  • Vanessa decided she needed to "make a judgment call."
  • That call was to put Jason on the block in Clay's place.
  •  While I can indeed see that Austin will probably be Mr. Loyal in her corner from here on out, the move breaks many promises she made and has possibly caused more problems for her personally.
  • James is mad. He was asked to throw the BotB and, while he didn't lose, it was obvious he was trying to throw it.
  • Jackie is mad.
  • Becky is mad.
  • Meg is crying.
  • Jason, naturally, is well beyond mad. He even cried a few tears and he's not one to cry.
  • Everyone from "the other side" went into this group of nominees for BotB thinking a certain deal was in place.
  • They all feel betrayed.
  • Everyone in the house was told Austin was the target.
  • (Except Austin, of course.)
  • Even Austin was trying to shift the target to Steve, not Jason.
  • And, people knew about that.
  • I'd personally prefer Becky to go home over Jason (even though she's my blog pool pick) because she brings little entertainment factor on the live feeds.
  • At least Jason sometimes talks to us!
  • I would have rather the Austin plan stick. He's creeping me out more and more. I've gotten to the point that he annoys me every time I see him on the live feeds.
  • That's not a good thing.
  • Alas, unless something drastically changes, they will keep Becky over Jason.

But Austin is in love. Too bad Liz isn't!

Body language says creep-out

We could have had a heads-up!

That wasn't the plan! I look bad now!

That wasn't the plan!

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds into Monday Blurb - July 27

May have to go back to the basement

This isn't a full-fledged report. I just wanted to let you know the latest -- Jason will go on the block when Clay saves himself.

Will this one stick? Or will Vanessa change her mind once again?

My head is spinning.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Sunday into the Evening - July 26

Hiding from reality?

I'm reluctant to even post this update because Vanessa has gone from the Gal With a Plan to the Waitress of Waffles. My only salvation is that the Power of Veto meeting will be tomorrow and all of this foolishness will be moot. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind:
  • I'm just so confused. Unless someone talks directly to us via the cameras, I'm often lost as to what page they're actually on.
  • Steve thinks that Shelli got him in with the in crowd.
  • Yet Shelli talks to others about how Steve randomly pops up everywhere.
  • It appears Austin is being forgiven by all and his lying has been accepted as trying to "help" the alliance in some sort of misguided weird way.
  • So, is Becky the target?
  • That might not work.
  • Although I think she's expendable, she has several hamsters in her camp and assurances (lies?) that she's safe this week.
  • I think Steve is safe this week.
  • Vanessa gave him her word.
  • Oh, wait. She gave a lot of those words out this week, the first being that she would backdoor Austin.
  • She told Becky she's safe this week.
  • Oy.
  • Wait, let's get rid of Jackie this week!
  • Oh.
  • Vanessa also gave her her word that she wouldn't backdoor her.
  • She told Steve that she's considering putting up either Jackie or Jason.
  • Hmm.
  • Then she leaned even more towards putting Jason up.
  • Who the hell knows?
  • Bring on the PoV ceremony! I can't take much more of this!
  • The feeds were blocked for the Outback dinner lead-up.
  • When they came back, the three who won it (Vanessa, James and Liz) were missing along with Clay, Becky and Austin. Maybe they could each bring a guest.
  • I don't know.
  • I don't care.
  • I just want them to decide who will go on the block with Becky!

She might need a stronger drink

Steve seems safe this week ... for now

Probably not getting backdoored ... this week

Yep, he's a nut.

Big Brother 17: Nominations, Battle of the Block Show Blog Party - July 25

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party?

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Let's get this party started!

After the recap, Vanessa tells us that she had to win HoH once Jackie did as she would likely be one of Jackie's targets. Austin talks to Lizia about "Operation Jason." He thinks if he talks twins with Jason, they would be more of a target to Jason than he is. In the twin change, Liz and Julia talk about Austin. Neither seem to to be thrilled with him.

Jason is very suspicious over why Austin is telling him not only about the twins, but even Julia's name. Austin tells Jason he wants to split up the twins. He tells us he'd like to keep them together, but his heart only belongs to one of them. (Too bad it's not mutual!) He wants to be in jury with Liz.

Jason, using the info as ammo, tells Meg, then Shelli. She's upset that Austin let the twins cat out of the bag, thus betraying their 6th Sense Alliance. Of course, she doesn't tell Meg or Jason that. But she does run to Vanessa.

Cut to Vanessa and Jackie talking nominations. They give their words that they won't backdoor each other. Jackie mentions Liz on the block. And Steve. (Wah!) They both talk about getting rid of Austin. Jackie would like to be the one to stay HoH.

Who wants to see our HoH room? Nope, not me. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Vanessa corners Austin in a lie or lies about his talk with Jason. She told Austin never to lie to her.

Vanessa tells Julia about Austin's talk with Jason. Then she talks to Shelli about it. "He lied to my face!" Clay volunteers to go on the block with Becky while the other two nominees -- Liz and James -- are supposed to lose BoB. James agrees to throw it. Liz has no clue of the plan. Then they backdoor Austin.

She tells Austin the plan is to backdoor Steve. She explains away why she's putting Clay on the block.

Nominations Today! Jackie nominates James and Liz, but we knew that. Because each put her on the block. Vanessa nominates Clay and Becky. Try to be fair, game decision.

Vanessa confides in Julia and tells her Lizia isn't the target. During the twins switch-out, Julia won't tell her about the Austin wants Julia out bit.

Battle of the Block time -- they have to study the Memory Wall for a few minutes. It's former hamsters. Breaking news have them tossing paint to reveal letters. They have to unscramble names of three hamsters from last season seen eating at Outback. There's also a special award involved. Liz realizes she has to be the brains with her and James. James and Liz win the BotB despite the fact James threw it. Liz did it all. James doesn't seem too excited. James, Liz and Vanessa get a private Outback Steakhouse dinner. Jackie is dethroned.

Clay and Becky remain on the block. Shelli is worried about her boy toy.

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - July 26, 2015

Good morning! Welcome to my weekly off television topic reflection of the past week in both words and photographs I've taken along the way! This post is a year 'round "feature" on the blog. If you're looking for Big Brother posts, they can all be found at this link right here. If you're not interested in this particular post, please feel free to skip on by it. I'll be posting a Big Brother blog party post coinciding with the East Coast airing of the show and, late this evening, another live feeds post. Stay tuned.

Let's see ... what happened this past week? Hmm. Between work and blog work, my mind seems all muddled! I remember the weather has been nice for the entire midweek on. I was able to open the windows, turn off the air conditioner and not drip sweat upon exiting my home or workplace. Yay for that! I'm so not a fan of heat and humidity. I could deal with a high temperature of 75 all summer.

Gosh, I'm really pulling a blank on the week. I guess the first thing you lose is indeed your mind!

Um. Um. Well, Vincent has a new "trick" but I can't make him do it and haven't been able to get the camera going on time. He runs and jumps on his cardboard scratching doohickey, making it slide five or six feet across the hardwood floor. Then he does it from the other direction. The first time I heard the noise, I was out in my kitchen and ran to the living room thinking something fell. No, it was just Vincent taking rides.

Why is CBS Sunday Morning all about love this week? I don't watch the show for love stories!

Oh, well ... onto the photos. If you click on an image, you'll get a larger version.

Is this pose good?

This year's pigeon babies in Bridgewater have grown!

NYC green cab in Plainfield

Parked at the Plainfield Train Station one morning this week. The train into the city costs about $10, the cab (because they charge round trip flat rate in NJ) costs over $100. Silliness!

All occupants will be photographed

So, I did. This is the sleeping NYC green cab driver.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Waffling into Sunday - July 26

Maybe we should pull a Zach

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Waffles and Chicken(s):
  • My head is spinning.
  • It's gone from a definite "everybody wants Austin out" to "maybe he shouldn't even go on the block."
  • I so wish these hamsters would decide on a plan and stick to it!
  • Austin keeps trying to minimize and rationalize his lies and betrayals, claiming they were little white lies and for the good of the group, he played emotional because he's fallen in love, he swears to total loyalty from this day forward, they can evict him next week if they save him this week and blah-blah-whine-blah.
  • And, it seems to be working.
  • What I think would be a hoot is if Clay didn't use the veto, sure they'd vote Becky out and he went home!
  • Bwahahahaha!
  • Sigh ... that's not going to happen.
  • Vanessa brought the idea of Clay not using it and Shelli shot that right down.
  • Steve suggested they do like they did with Zach -- put Austin on the block, say he's the target and then save him with the votes. But they don't know if they'd have the numbers.
  • Although I think Becky is expendable (even though she's my blog pool pick person), she has plenty of people in her corner.
  • Clay suggested Jackie should go home.
  • But Vanessa said she doesn't want to be responsible for sending both TAR people home.
  • Why not?
  • It's hard to tell who's lying to whom. I believe the sentiment is indeed switching to not putting Austin up or putting him up, but trying to vote Becky out.
  • We have until tomorrow to get a grasp on this.
  • Oy.
  • I have a hankering to go to IHOP for an order of waffles.

True to Vanessa or not?

He lied to me, but I understand him.

He repulses me, but I trust him.

Keep me off the block, my life for you!

He'll be loyal now. He's a number.

Becky can hula hoop.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Saturday, PoV - July 25

A table for two

I so love a good kerfuffle. Here's what went down today inside that Big Brother House of a Panicking Judas:
  • For the Power of Veto, it's John, Shelli and Liz playing with Vanessa, Clay and Becky. Jason hosted.
  • Of course, the live feeds are always blocked for both the drawing of names and the comp itself.
  • Vanessa had to pick three people (not four this week) for Have Nots. She chose Shelli and Clay as they hadn't been on slop yet. Steve volunteered to be a Have Not.
  • Power of Veto comp apparently had them dressed as squirrels (should have been hamsters). Jason, the host, pronounces "squirrel" oddly with his accent. Heh.
  • Uh-oh. Clay won something.
  • He won the Power of Veto.
  • Becky cried.
  • Shelli did not cry.
  • Becky is worried not only because she will remain on the block, but because she was told not to tell John of the backdoor Austin plan. Meanwhile, she found out that Clay told him. She feels that she's left out of things and she's worried.
  • As she should be.
  • Like I said, she's expendable.
  • Liz continues to get more irked by Austin.
  • Yet, he claims to be "in love" with her.
  • @@
  • Now the HoH groupies are doubting Johnny Mac because he (supposedly) said that he would save Becky with the veto.
  • Liz told Vanessa that she is close to Austin, but he likes her a lot more than she likes him.
  • Really. You don't say.
  • As their conversation continued, Liz mentioned that he repulses her.
  • Heh.
  • Liz is scared that Austin will go wild about being backdoored.
  • So what, I say.
  • Now, for the last forever, I've been listening to Austin apologize, defend his actions, beg and plead with Vanessa not to put him on the block.
  • She needs to toughen up.
  • She tells him that he'd have to get others on his side, the whole house is against him.
  • It continues as I get this posted.

Who wants to be on the block with me?

Reluctant HoH

Watching "Netflix"

YOU are the target, Austin.

Don't send me home!!! Wah!

I won something. I won something.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Overnight into Saturday - July 25

The most in he's been in the house

Well, well, well. The twins are now guaranteed to be together in the house as Liz won the BotB and she/they are safe this week. Of course, the plan was for her and James to LOSE it, but no one told her that! James knew, but Liz apparently carried the comp. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Harried Hamsters:
  • The comp was another rather messy one with some kind of paint (or something) on the participants.
  • Heh. Clay is not a happy camper. After all, he was supposed to win this!
  • Vanessa thinks that James overacted too much and it was obvious he was trying to throw the comp.
  • Vanessa and Shelli think they need to explain to Liz why the comp was planned to be thrown.
  • Which, of course, is to blindslide Austin!
  • What? Liz's true love?
  • Ha!
  • As they say, she isn't that into him.
  • As a matter of fact, I think he's really starting to creep her out despite the fact they say she jumped into his arms after winning the comp.
  • Liz complained to Vanessa that James didn't do anything in the comp and she had to drag him around.
  • Well, maybe that's because he was trying to throw it following the plan in place that no one told Liz about.
  • Vanessa and Shelli now think that Julia didn't clue Liz into the betrayal (willing to get rid of Julia) by Austin.
  • They still want to go through with the original plan -- backdoor Austin.
  • Austin, of course, thinks they want to backdoor Steve.
  • Yeah, Steve is indeed the alternate plan.
  • But he's not the main target this week.
  • Austin, for some odd reason created in his own mind, thinks that several women in the house like or desire him.
  • Um, no.
  • The more Steve talks, the more I think Woody Allen without the sexually frustrated aspect. His voice, his mannerisms, his awkwardness, his analyzing his own behaviors to others.
  • Heh. Johnny Mac told a worried Becky that she survived a train wreck; a veto comp should be easy.
  • Heh. Austin kissed Liz and she threw him aside saying he was annoying and that it was a sneak attack.
  • REMEMBER, HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND AT HOME.
  • Others (Jason, Meg, etc.) are still complaining that Steve eavesdrops, spies on people and pops up (like Andy did).
  • Steve told us that he's come to the realization that the game is not for him but that he will do the best he can.
  • Yeah, a bit like Donny last year, he's having real issues fitting in with the others. Unlike Donny, he's really trying to fit it. Donny got to the point where he didn't even bother.
  • They're all in bed, rather early for them, as I get this posted.
  • The veto should be interesting.

Things aren't going quite right

How di I get rid of him?

Jus' a country boy watchin' it all

I'll vote however Vanessa asks

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Bulletin - BotB Kerflooey - July 24

Uh-oh. The best laid plans went awry.

James was supposed to throw the Battle of the Block. Liz, his fellow nominee didn't know that. They won it. Liz realized that James was throwing it. James is mad that he won and Austin is suspicious. Clay and Becky remain on the block, Vanessa remains HoH.

Damage control time. They have to convince Austin that Steve is the backdoor target. They don't want Austin to freak ahead of time or win PoV.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Friday Daytime, Nominations - July 24

What? Not on the block this week?

Okay, I'm ready to name my favorite player of the season. While Steve is my sentimental favorite, Vanessa is my serious contender for the win favorite. If she can hold her emotions in check, she reads people well and can think ahead. Here's today's happenings from inside that Big Brother House of the Giving Judas a Judas Kiss:
  • Dig that hole even deeper, Austin.
  • Austin is already a backdoor target of Vanessa due to his lying to her face regarding confirming the twins and even Julia's name to Jason.
  • So, what does he do?
  • Julia is the twin in the house right now. She doesn't like Austin all that much. So, when he told her that he was the hinky vote against Johnny Mac and was casting the blame on Steve, what did Julia do?
  • Why, she ran right to Vanessa with the information.
  • Heh.
  • I really wanted to like Austin.
  • But I really can't.
  • Vanessa and Jackie made a pact to always be honest with each other.
  • After the nominations live feeds blockage, the nominations are: (drumroll) Jackie nominated Lizia and James, Vanessa nominated Clay and Becky.
  • None of them are the targets.
  • The target is Austin.
  • The alternated target is (horrors!) Steve.
  • Austin has also irked people by saying that once the twins both play, Julia can get the boot first and he might have some time in the jury house with Liz.
  • @@
  • HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND AT HOME!!!
  • Well, probably not any longer, I guess. I hope she packed her bags.
  • James has agreed to throw the BotB comp so Clay/Becky will come off and (as they agreed), Jackie will remain HoH.
  • At least, that's the plan.
  • Since their alliance has now grown to Jackie, Vanessa, Shelli, Clay, James, Jason, Meg and Lizia ... they have a good chance of someone winning PoV and Austin being the renom.
  • Oh my. Vanessa had to explain "Judas" to Shelli. Heck, even if one isn't religious, most have heard the expression and know it means betrayal.
  • Neither Vanessa nor Jackie, are afraid to be blunt with Austin (if the renom goes as planned) and tell him exactly why he's up.
  • Austin is saying he doesn't feel well, but it's not because he's worried about being a target -- he thinks it's because he cast Audrey's spirit from the house or something hokey like that. He has a tummy ache.
  • Austin is sure his Blame Steve strategy for the hinky vote worked.
  • Heh.
  • And, on it goes.
  • Battle of the Block is going on now. I'll post a brief bulletin when I find out the winner. But we do kind of know who it will be.
  • PoV should be tomorrow.

I think Julia has more sense than Liz

Pre-nominations strategy meet

Jason can breathe easy this week

To me, she's still expendable

Are his days numbered?

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Overnight into Friday - July 24

He's the Steve's knees

Ah, new power in the house ... and ones without men clinging all over them! Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Judas Just Might be Judased:
  • Jason is a bit paranoid, thinking Vanessa might target him.
  • We all know from watching the live feeds that she's more likely to target Austin.
  • James is trying to figure out why the audience laughed when he took the podium next to Austin during the HoH comp.
  • :::giggle:::
  • The lone hinky vote from "Judas" was discussed. Jason thinks it might be America voting.
  • Well, um, Jason ... it would still have to be cast by a hamster.
  • Oh, yeah. Everybody thinks there's an America's Player when there isn't!
  • Vanessa thinks Jackie would have nominated her if she hadn't won the HoH with her.
  • Jason, not privy to Vanessa's betrayal by Austin, thinks Jackie needs to remain HoH so Austin might be evicted.
  • While we know, Vanessa does hold some cards close to her chest until it's time to play them.
  • Jason approached Jackie about possibly backdooring the twins.
  • Aha, finally realizing that the Liz/Austin duo needs to be broken up and/or the twins are two for the price of one in the queue to a half-million!
  • Jason also thinks that Steve has been throwing every comp.
  • I too think Steve better get start playing before he ends up getting played. I like the kid but, between his Andy-like popping up places, social awkwardness and acting so inept, he might be overdoing his act.
  • Jackie and Vanessa promised each other that, when one comes down in BotB, they won't backdoor each other.
  • Jackie would like to remain HoH.
  • Vanessa brought up that the twins are two people in the house even though just one is in the house now.
  • Yay, they're finally noticing that!
  • Jackie thinks, if they evict Austin, the twins would be easier to get rid of on their own.
  • They came up with one plan I'd endorse -- Becky and Clay would be nominated by Vanessa and they'd win BotB. Jackie would nominated Steve and Liz and they'd throw the comp. Steve would be saved by the PoV and replaced by Austin.
  • Of course, that plan is dependent on someone they want winning PoV!
  • Austin continued to hint Steve was the hinky vote.
  • Austin continued to dig his own grave with Vanessa by lying to her once again. She was perfect ... playing along with his lies. But, when he left the room and she was alone with the cameras, she turned to them and said he lied to her face (after she had told him NOT to lie to her).
  • Heh.
  • I'm liking Vanessa as a player more and more.
  • Julia admitted to Vanessa that Liz isn't all that into Austin as he thinks she is.
  • Heh.
  • Right now the eventual targets seem to be Austin or Steve with pawns on the block as BotB tends to be.

Big game moves ahead, beware!

Johnny Mac does have a point!

So not targets

Would Austin/Judas be a double eviction?

"Austin first, then the twins."

Not the brains of the op

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Let's get this party started!

Heh. Julie opened the show mentioning that Audrey's behavior after not showing up for the PoV meeting trended on Twitter, then wonders if she'll show up for eviction. Onto the recap now. They're playing up the "will she make it to the live eviction" at the end of the recap.

As the veto meeting ends, they are all abuzz over Audrey's behavior. They show her going into the diary room wrapped in a fleece blanket, hoodie and sunglasses on. She lies atop the seat in there, all covered up. (From the live feeds, I know it was about five hours before she came out.) Austin thinks she's going to leave the game on her own.

She emerges from the DR. Julia thinks she saw a ghost. Audrey headed immediately back to Have Not room.

James brought her an omelet. (She shouldn't have it as a have not.) She eats.

Back to her "cloak" and Unibomber look, she headed into the DR again.

Aha! She's sitting in one of the nomination chairs when they finally show that. Into commercial.

Julie talks to the hamsters. Jason first, with Whackstreet Boys question. She lies to them and tells them they've taken the country by storm. The Backstreet Boys tweeted about/to them. Time for a live performance.

Julie mentions Audrey's courageous journey pre-show. Family time on how she's playing now. Her family is supportive of her gender change. Her mother notices that she jumped right into the games while the others took it more easy. The family wishes she would slow down, but feel she's completed a dream of being in the house. Alas, as they say, you can't win with a party of one.

Julie tells us that Audrey already has one penalty vote due to eating regular food as a Have Not.

Audrey: Tells us e-address, honor to be on platform, first transgender, be embraced on the first day, etc. Game perspective ... Merry Christmas.
John: Shout out to Whackstreet Boys, if you want to keep me, AWESOME. If not, cool.

The vote to evict:
Clay - Audrey
James - Audrey
Austin - Judas evicts John
Jason - Audrey
Vanessa - Audrey
Becky - Audrey
Jackie - Audrey
Steve - Audrey
Julia - Audrey
Meg - Audrey

Nine votes to evict, plus one penalty vote, Audrey is evicted. Is this real? Is this really real? -- she says.

She handles the interview well and even has a bit of a sense of humor.

HoH comp -- Hop Until You Drop. They have to identify which comp in rounds via a song. It's a buzzer thing.

Steve and Jason - Jason wins
Johnny Mac and Austin - Austin wins
Jackie and Becky - Jackie wins
Lizia and Vanessa - Vanessa wins
Jackie and Meg ... into commercial - Jackie wins
Austin and James - James wins
Vanessa and Clay - Vanessa wins
James and Jackie - Jackie is the first HoH!
Vanessa and Jason - Vanessa wins

Jackie and Vanessa are the two new HoH.

Britney Haynes will talk to Julie after the commercial.

Britney says it's an amazing season. She likes Jason. Likes Vanessa as a player. Who doesn't love Johnny Mac? She said the twins twist took a different direction than she thought. She thinks that Vanessa has a great chance to win, Shelli or Clay in final three with a floater.

WHERE IS OUR TWIST A WEEK AND BB TAKEOVER?

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Overnight into Thursday - July 23

Audrey's own Bohemian Rhapsody

"Is this the real life or is it fantasy? Caught in a landslide, can't escape reality." - credit Queen.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Mixed Nuts:
  • Although I think there was more to Audrey's song than we were allowed to see, it reminded me of "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen.
  • Mama, just shot a man ...
  • Er, wait. That's not her song.
  • Her theatrical dance and song had lyrics (paraphrasing here) like: "Is this my real life? James and Shelli stabbed me with a knife. Someone tell me if this is my life." She ended with a dramatic, "And ... scene!"
  • Hmm.
  • If Zach was here, he'd call out "Froot Loop dingleberry!"
  • The cameras cut and we only saw her peek out once again and then briefly mingle, coming out to shout "BB Takeover!"
  • Then she went back to her self-imposed death/exile.
  • In other news, Austin tried to start a movement against Jason, using his superfan status as a weapon against him.
  • Backfire.
  • Jason told others that Austin too is a superfan.
  • He also told them of Austin's girlfriend back home and the fact that, if Julia comes into the house for good, he'd want her out so he could have Liz more to himself. Plus, Julia and Liz would take each other to the end over him.
  • Aha!
  • Julia is not too keen on Austin anyway.
  • Fuel for the fire.
  • Actually, reading body language, I don't think Liz is all that into him, either.
  • Austin might be working his way into being the next target.
  • It looks like Clay, Shelli and Vanessa will set their sights on him.
  • Too bad, so sad.

Chef Steve

Retelling the Audrey talk

I must rethink Austin

She isn't that into him

Austin has a girlfriend at home!

I'm not the only superfan
