Big Brother 17: Live Dead Feeds Thursday, Survivor Cambodia Second Chance

Well, this is new and different

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Inanimate Objects:
  • I really got nuthin' for you.
  • They were awakened early (9am their time) after the exhaustion of last night's first part of the HoH comp.
  • Apparently, I'm guessing here, it was for filming the BB walk down memory lane bit as we had Jeffish for a few hours.
  • They've been conked out ever since.
  • The camera people keep focusing on odd things along with a two-cam view of sleeping hamsters.
  • More exciting is the Jeff Probst Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance cast assessment video posted below the BB still life shots!
How exciting!

Worldly, even!

The new Survivor season leads into the BB17 season finale next Wednesday night. I'll be watching. How about you?

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Final Three HoH Part 1 Endurance Comp Updates - Sept. 16

Playing a waiting game ...

Once they get started, I'll be updating this post -- refresh the page to get the latest.

It's 10:10pm ET. They finally took the time off the banner. That had been reading to stay tuned for it to start at 9:00pm ET.

11:00pm ET - We have Jeffish interviews/highlights.

11:30pm ET - Still Jeffish

11:43pm ET - finally ...

They're swinging on giant candy apples and dunking into red liquid. They're periodically being slammed into a wall.

11:51pm ET - A new thing, a blast of powder.

11:58pm ET - All three still in, by the way. Liz looks the most uncomfortable.

12:10am ET - All still in.

Steve said that it's exactly the kind of comp he's wanted -- endurance, but not overly physical, a "how bad do you want it" kind of comp.

12:24am ET - Steve slipped, now sitting directly on the apple instead of above it. He uses the dunk to get back in the right position.

12:27am ET - Although Steve had his slip (and fixed it), it really looks like Liz is having the hardest time with this comp.

12:34am ET - Finally the BB voice yelled at Steve for singing (humming). It was driving me bonkers.

12:45am ET - All three still in it.

1:00am ET -- All three still in.

1:15am ET -- All three still in. Am I a bad person for wishing one of them, any of them, will fall soon?

This is REALLY BORING. One better fall soon!

1:38am ET -- Some kind of goopy white gunk sprayed on them. All still in.

If no one is out by 2am ET, I'm going to take a nap or an outright sleep and catch up with this in a few (or four) hours. This must be one of the most boring comps they've ever done.

Steve down 12:18am PT

Vanessa wins HoH Part 1 at 12:31 their time

That's, of course, 3:31am for me! She just wore down Liz, telling her that she needed to win this part because it's the only one she'd be good at, she has a good ten more hours in her and more.

Big Brother 17: Live Eviction to Final Three Show Blog Party - September 16

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party? Tonight we'll get down to the Final Three to head into the three-part HoH comp for the win. Tonight's show will expose the nominees and the PoV winner (although we already know those from the live feeds), plus a Brenchal segment ... so it should be busy!

Jason - Witt, Sharon, WolfpackRed
Clay - FairieGoddess0714, QuixoticElf, DonnaNY, JonMD1267

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

The recap, then a promise of Caleb BB16 hosting a judo veto comp gets us started. Into Vanessa doing damage control with Liz. Vanessa cries some more. Liz cries. Steve cries. Johnny Mac doesn't cry. All is about Vanessa. Liz is in shock.

Steve wins HoH (as we know) and wants to throw up. Liz is ticked. Vanessa reminds us the PoV winner has the power this week as the sole vote. Vanessa talks to Liz. Liz cries more. Liz doesn't like Steve nor Johnny Mac, so she feels she has to work with Vanessa.

Vanessa makes final two deals with both Liz and Johnny Mac.

Nominations -- Steve nominates Johnny Mac and Vanessa. He says it's purely strategic, nothing personal. Steve doesn't want Vanessa to win veto. He doesn't think he can beat her at the end.

Jury segment ... Julia shows. Meg was expecting Liz instead. They hold no animosity towards Steve. Then Austin arrives. Austin thinks he's going to affect the vote and get them all against her. Shelli talks about how good Vanessa's game is and Austin remains childishly bitter and a sore loser. No surprises.

Brenchal time. Yeah, she's pregnant.

PoV time! Asian theme, judo outfits. And, Caleb rolls on in. Big Brother Dojo. Martial Smarts. Several matches, reads an event that happened, guess what day, punch or kick counter.

Liz has one strike against her for finishing last. You get two strikes, then out. Whoops, second strike in the second round and now Liz is out. Steve now has a strike. Second strike for Steve. He's out.

JM gets his first strike. Second strike and Vanessa wins the final veto of the summer!

Vanessa tells us she has a tough decision to make. Liz thinks Vanessa will take her to the final three, but is worried. Johnny Mac is just plain worried.

Live veto meeting and eviction time. Vanessa saves herself, Liz is up with Johnny Mac.

John -- Awesome summer, fun, doesn't beg.
Liz -- Challenging and intense game, made friends, always have your back, Vanessa.

Vanessa votes to evict Johnny Mac because of his relationship with Steve -- either with him or breaking his alliance with him.

They end the show with Liz, Vanessa and Steve toasting their success (and Julie Chen) with champagne. Steve doesn't drink.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds into Wednesday - September 16

Poor Coco, covered in Steve's tears

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Four:
  • Not only have nominations already been made, PoV has already played out in advance of tonight's (really) live eviction show.
  • Remember, last night's show was taped Monday and the feeds were down from Monday morning until last night's West Coast airing of the (not really) live eviction show.
  • We did not see the nominations, nor the Power of Veto comp.
  • But we know about them nonetheless.
  • Steve nominated Vanessa and Johnny Mac.
  • Say what?
  • I didn't see what went down but I'd imagine he might have felt sorry for Liz, thus sparing her from the block.
  • Or, he could have thought her as a renom.
  • This is the week that all the power is in the hands of the PoV winner -- they decide who goes to the final three. It's just that one vote and the HoH has nothing to do with it other than put up the nominees.
  • Vanessa won the Power of Veto.
  • You heard me.
  • It sounds like Steve threw it to her.
  • All of the power is in Vanessa's hands.
  • Uh-oh, Steve has a breakdown.
  • Even though he knows he's one of the final three, he feels Vanessa will take Liz instead of Johnny Mac.
  • He thinks he can beat Johnny Mac, but not Vanessa.
  • Liz, of all people, comforts him.
  • Yeah, you heard me.
  • When Steve and Vanessa talked, they each thought they could beat Liz in a final three and take each other to the final two.
  • But Steve had second thoughts on his own later. He doesn't think he can win against Vanessa.
  • I don't think he should win against her.
  • To be honest, although she's driven me crazy all summer on the feeds, of the four remaining, Vanessa SHOULD win. She's played the best game.
  • However, we all know that's not always how things go in BB Land.
  • It's a mind kerfuffle!
  • Meanwhile, Liz seems to have turned um ... different ... she told Steve it was cute that he campaigned for her vote against Austin. She also told him he should work out more and try again with Julia because she really does like him but thinks he looks "puny."
  • Hmm.
  • I'm not sure Liz is quick enough to play mind games on the kid.
  • Back to Steve's quandary -- he thinks that Vanessa would take him to the final two over Johnny, not as sure over Liz. He's sure that Vanessa will vote out Johnny Mac. He thinks that Johnny Mac would have taken him to the final two over Vanessa.
  • He had to go cry to Coco, then Liz, then Liz and Vanessa.
  • Where's Johnny Mac in all of this?
  • Sleeping.
  • In other news, Rachel Reilly is now following me on Twitter.
  • Why can't Brad Pitt follow me instead?

SlingBand has returned

Will this be the end of Johnny Mac?

Talking plans

Mom, I screwed up, a horrible mistake

Big Brother 17: (Not) Live Eviction, HoH Show Blog Party - September 15

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party? We're heading into a real mystery tonight as the most credible leak in such blocked feeds evictions situations is out of the picture for some time to come. That was the person I depended on for credible news. Sigh.  Remember, although it's airing tonight, this was taped yesterday.

AND NOBODY TALKED! Gah.

I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes and thank BB for not having to blog live feeds since yesterday morning!

Before we get going, here's the latest update on the blog pool:

Austin - Petals, Tammy, marthalight, Dr_Celine
John - Sasha, lynn1, clover
Liz - Skyriverblue, jo Chapman, monty924
Steve - KelseyNY, Carrie, K
Vanessa - Chacha, Heather Reyes, T-Town Chick

JURY:
Shelli - Delee, Sharon N, chrob
Jackie - No pool people due to being announced late in cast
Becky - Glenn, Jackie, Indiana Jane, Brian
Meg - Sharon S, Merrilee, MikesGirl
James - uncartie, Marlo, Jackie~juju, ML
Julia - No pool people due to being announced late in cast

EVICTED:
Jace - Becky in TX, CherylinNC, JOKATS, CaelaXO
Da'Vonne - jessica UNderwood, SueGee, Ed in Ohio, Nickelpeed
Jeff - No pool people due to being announced late in cast
Audrey - David, Chase, Orkmommy, Nicole K
Jason - Witt, Sharon, WolfpackRed
Clay - FairieGoddess0714, QuixoticElf, DonnaNY, JonMD1267

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Recap. recap ...oh my gosh, I forgot they also have to squeeze in PoV in this show!

Acting like the show is live, Julie blindsides them with the news that there's an eviction tonight. Wah, wah. Vanessa doesn't mind targeting Johnny Mac, but cries all over Steve.

Johnny Mac tries to make a whacko deal with Austin/Liz that he'll throw the veto to them for safety. They're confused. They tell Vanessa.

PoV comp time. They all get to watch Life in Pieces. The comp is related to the show ... playground in the backyard, chances of winning in pieces, have to put together Life in Pieces puzzle. The board demagnetizes when they fall off the balance beam or take too long between hitting the buzzer.

Vanessa eliminated first. Johnny Mac wins veto!

Vanessa cries to us. Steve thinks he can talk Vanessa into keeping him and getting rid of either Austin or Liz.

PoV meeting -- Johnny Mac saves himself. Vanessa puts Austin on the block because "Liz was just on the block last week." Austin thinks he's safe, but has some worry about Vanessa. Johnny Mac leads Austin to believe he would vote out Steve.

Time for the vote:
Steve - Didn't prepare, no warning, surprised even there, incredible, thanks all.
Austin - Sucks up to Life in Pieces, likes Steve, nice speech, vote with your heart, plugs he wants in on Bold and Beautiful.

Votes to evict:
Liz - Steve
Johnny Mac - Austin

Tiebreaker - Vanessa votes to evict AUSTIN! Liz cries, Austin is already bitter and low class, telling Vanessa she won't win the jury vote. Perhaps the most class-less exit of this season. I'm not surprised.

They announce the favorite houseguest voting in online now.

HoH Comp time! Vanessa can't play. What the Bleep is the name of the game. Videos of previous HG, with a bleeped-out word. Julie will say the word, true or false.

All right.
All right.
Steve takes lead, by one point.
All right.
Johnny gets a point, tied with Steve.
No one right.
Steve and Johnny Mac right, tied and Liz is out.

How long was the Under the Rainbow competition in seconds -- tiebreaker.

STEVE WINS THE NEW HOH!

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Into Monday - September 14

Walking the Backyard of Broken Dreams

Well, this will be the last update until after the feeds blockage ending after tomorrow night's show. While the feeds shut down at noon here, it's 9am there and, unless BB wakes them up, they'll be asleep still when they go off. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Indecisive Incentivizing Indecisions:
  • Obviously, the feeds are shutting down so that I can head into the city (NYC) to photostomp the Feast of San Genaro, sleep in tomorrow and celebrate my birthday without worrying about blogging BB live feeds!
  • I know it must be all about me, not about them taping the eviction for tomorrow.
  • Heh.
  • Austin pumped Johnny Mac for the latest news and what Steve might have said to him.
  • While JM was basically honest with Austin, telling him that he told Steve he needs to campaign and such, he didn't let on that there was any chance in heck that Steve would stay.
  • Steve did try to campaign to Liz.
  • That didn't go over well.
  • But the HUGE NEWS is that Vanessa called Johnny Mac in for a talk and told him she wants to make a big move ... and get Austin out.
  • She wants Johnny to vote to keep Steve, knowing Liz will vote to keep Austin. She will then break the tie and vote out Austin.
  • Of course, this is Vanessa.
  • It's subject to change.
  • Of course, this is Johnny Mac.
  • It's subject to weirdness.
  • We will see.
  • No matter what, I won't miss seeing Austin literally shoveling scrambled eggs into his mouth. He cooks up a half-dozen or so at a time, a few times a day and inhales them.
  • No manners whatsoever.
  • Whether he goes tomorrow or next week, he'll be off my monitor and TV screen forever more.
  • Make sure you stop by tomorrow night 8pm ET for the show blog party!

Shoveling down mass quantities of eggs

As long as I don't go up!

I need to win HoH. I need to win HoH.

Thinking of end game.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Sunday into the Evening - September 13

Knows he's in serious trouble

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Too Much Talk:
  • A banner is scrolling across the top of the live feeds which says they'll be "paused" from 9am PST tomorrow (Monday, 9/14) until 9pm PST on Tuesday, 9/15. Again, I'm wondering about why they think they're on Standard Time. The feeds themselves also list the time as PST. It should be PDT. Who error checks this stuff?
  • Not a heck of a lot happened today in the house.
  • They now know they're on an accelerated schedule and expect an eviction on Tuesday. But they don't know beyond that and assume the next show would be another eviction on Thursday.
  • We know there will be shows on both Tuesday and Wednesday, no show on Thursday.
  • Johnny Mac and Steve talked.
  • JM admitted to Steve about his deal with Austin last week.
  • He also pretty much told all about his conversation with Vanessa last night.
  • JM admitted that he told Vanessa he'd vote out Steve (to save his own butt).
  • He said that Vanessa will not be willing to go with them into the final three because she considers them a "couple."
  • Like Austin/Liz isn't a couple?!?!
  • Well, Vanessa thinks of Steve/John as a more dangerous threat to her own game couple. She thinks she would have a harder time winning over them and they'd take each other to the final two.
  • Johnny Mac told Steve that Vanessa is all but positive the upcoming veto (after the HoH which she can't play in) will be hers.
  • He also told him that he doesn't dare approach Vanessa to tell her he wants to vote to keep Steve -- that would be bad for his own game with her and she wouldn't go for it.
  • He advised Steve to convince Vanessa to convince him to vote for Steve to stay.
  • It sounds odd, but I see the sense in it if it can actually go down.
  • It would seem like it's Vanessa's idea if Steve can convince her to convince JM to vote to keep Steve.
  • I personally don't think Steve has the skills to bring it off, though.
  • Oh ... and they got photo booth today. Woot. Woot.
  • More in the morning ...

Back to looking like Liz

Convince Vanessa to convince me ...

Big Brother 17: HoH Reveal, Nominations Show Blog Party - September 13

Big Brother 11 Blog Logo photo BB-09-smJackieMA28497852-0002.gif

Good evening! Ready for a blog party? While many of us already know the results of the PoV comp, tonight's episode will focus on the reveal of the HoH winner from the Thursday comp and nominations.

The show isn't due to start here until 8:30pm ET tonight due to football and may even start later than that. I'll be posting this at the regular 8pm ET although word verification won't come down until it starts here. I'll be updating this entry with the major happenings as it airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

We're getting started ... the recap, the promise of the eggs-citing HoH comp and a once in a lifetime trip (ew, Frankie) ahead.

At the comp, Liz is doing poorly while the other three are more evenly matched. Vanessa has taken the lead. John is a close second. Liz, still doing horribly, goes for the luxury prize and wins it. Vanessa still in the lead with Johnny Mac on her tail.

VANESSA wins HoH!

She's worried because now she'll have to decide between her two different alliances. Steve thinks he's safe. Johnny Mac thinks he's safe. Austin thinks he's safe. Liz thinks Vanessa has been acting "sketchy" lately.

The paranoia and interrogations begin.

And on and on, the interrogations go.

Vanessa says she's going to go with her gut, but it looks like her head hurts. I know mine does.

Vanessa talks to Steve and indicates that Johnny Mac will be her target. Then she talks to Austin, tells him she's after Johnny Mac and gets him to make all kinds of deals with her.

Oh, geez. Frankie is in the house bouncing like Richard Simmons. The trip is to an Ariana Grande concert VIP experience and Liz can choose someone to go with her. They will be disguised by a professional. Austin points and Vanessa, so Liz takes her.

Lots of hoopla. I actually think Liz looks much better made up with short auburn hair.

Johnny Mac talks to Vanessa. She looks for deals with him. He thinks he's using reverse reverse reverse psychology and tells her if she wants, put up him and Steve. He's hoping her head explodes.

Time for nominations. Vanessa nominates Steve and Johnny Mac. Her head did NOT explode. She claims she adores Steve, respects Johnny Mac ... not personal, just strategy. She thinks their loyalty is to each other. (What about Liz and Austin?)

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - September 13, 2015

Good morning! Welcome to my weekly off television topic reflection of the past week in both words and photographs I've taken along the way; This post is a year 'round "feature" on the blog. If you're looking for Big Brother posts, they can all be found at this link right here. If you're not interested in this particular post, please feel free to skip on by it. I'll be posting a Big Brother blog party post coinciding with the East Coast airing of the show and, late this evening, another live feeds post. Stay tuned.

Yes, I'm finally at staycation! This week I do have a lot of things I want to get done. I have to choose photos to enter in the photo contest. I have work I want to do on a few old computers to get the information (and photos!) off of the hard drives. I have to consult a lawyer over some issues (not criminal, mind you). I need to watch all of the TV shows I've recorded. I want to organize stuff here at home and get rid of unused items and clothes that will never fit me again. I'd like to go into the city, perhaps tomorrow, to photo stomp the Feast of San Genaro and parts of Chinatown. The last time I went was on a weekend and it was packed. Monday might be better! I also want one or two mornings at the park now that kids have returned to school. Oh, and so much more planned for the week!

But I will indeed take time to rest and relax, too.

This past week at work was work although severely shortened in the number of days. Labor Day is a paid holiday for me and I took a paid vacation day for yesterday. So, technically, I had a three day work week. However, things change. I ended up going in for about three hours on Monday at an exorbitant rate of pay. Hey, they wanted me. I certainly didn't ASK to work!

The week was record-breaking heat (and humidity) at its start, then rain and a return to more seasonable temperatures. Once we get by iffy weather today, it looks like clear sailing and more seasonable.

In home life, things have been back to their normal quiet since last week's excitement. About the most disruptive thing is that I've decided the guy upstairs needs a new vacuum cleaner. He has wall-to-wall carpet and vacuums rarely or when I'm not at home. He vacuumed yesterday and I swear it sounded like a helicopter trying to land and moving around his apartment! Here I have hardwood floors throughout and Swiffer does the trick. My handheld vacuum can deal with the few small area rugs I have. I do have a good working real vacuum, but I'll hang onto it. I don't want to have to buy another one if the day comes that I'll need it. I doubt I'll live here forever.

Enough ... onto this week's photos! Clicking on a photo will bring up a larger version.

Vincent

He's looking all sweet and innocent. But, give him some catnip and all heck can break loose! Oh, wait. He's not sweet and innocent ... he's checking out the bird in the photo below!

A mourning dove

Perhaps in mourning; I didn't see its mate. I swear this one has been zooming out of the underbrush so quickly every day that I wasn't sure what it was. But, I caught it zooming then sitting one day. Like a pigeon, but not.

Cool old Thunderbird

I saw this car on East 4th Street in Plainfield, fantastic condition. Its windows were down and I didn't see an owner around. If it were MY car, I wouldn't take those risks. But, I'd bet a lot of today's car thieves wouldn't know how to drive it anyway!

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Into Sunday - September 13

Let's not tell them

Sheesh, even when her conversations go on and on, I should hold off posting until they finish. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Ten Days to Go:
  • Okay, by the time Johnny Mac and Vanessa stopped talking, the target changed to Steve.
  • Why is that?
  • After telling him a gazillion different scenarios and possible outcomes, Vanessa asked, "Which way are you leaning?"
  • "To evict? Steve, for now anyway."
  • Gah! They're still too dumb to break up the obvious couple!
  • Going into the final four with a couple is just too risky, methinks.
  • One wise thing they did is decide not to tell them ahead of time.
  • "Heh-heh, why do people always tell? It's against the rules and everything, heh-heh," according to Johnny Mac.
  • They still don't know, although they're guessing, that the schedule will switch up or speed up to get everything in by the finale date.
  • Steve mentioned to Johnny Mac that no star ever got their start in BB.
  • JM brought up Frankie. Steve told him that BB might have helped, but was not the root of his fame.
  • Meanwhile, both Liz and Austin have visions of sugarplums and open doors throughout the land waiting for them when they get out.
  • Ha. Only BB fans will know them and both have been unpopular with the online fans.
  • That's all for now. Things could change again. We won't know until we know, I guess!

I'm leaning towards evicting Steve

If we were BB2, we'd be out by now

Could I be going this week?

Bug Brother 17: Live Feeds into Saturday Night - September 13

Okay, need to regroup again

Johnny Mac's win of the veto sure put a monkey wrench into Vanessa's latest plans. Now she'll have to renom either Liz or Austin. Whatever will she do? Why, she could switch sides again. Yeah, that's the ticket! Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Skittles Strategies:
  • Scratch my LFT statement on this morning's update. Austin, Liz and Vanessa aren't the Likely Final Three.
  • Not since Johnny Mac lives on another few days (at least).
  • As usual, Vanessa held long revolving talks with each of her fellow hamsters.
  • Liz was rather quick and adamant the Austin should go on the block instead of her. She's still angry about Austin's behavior and quasi-reliving her anger with him over the veto last week.
  • While Johnny Mac was Vanessa's target (until now), she's worked to make him think he wasn't and that she'll remain loyal to him.
  • She told Steve that she wants him to remain in the game.
  • Johnny Mac went crazy trying to get everyone to tell him the name of the Scamper Squad.
  • Vanessa finally told him, in front of all.
  • Steve is actually very good about being on the block even before the veto. He's been betrayed by Vanessa but he never went into a groveling mess of humanity as did Austin some weeks back.
  • This time, when Vanessa spoke to Austin about maybe/probably having to put him on the block, he was better about it.
  • But, then again, he thinks Vanessa has his back. He also probably thinks he can get Johnny Mac to vote to keep him and/or Vanessa would break the tie in his favor if he can't get Johnny's vote.
  • Johnny Mac told Steve he'd vote to keep him.
  • But who knows with Johnny Mac?
  • It's looking like Austin will be the renom.
  • And, it looks like Austin is who Vanessa wants out this time.
  • But, ya never know how these things will work out.

The Skittles strategics

Thinking hard. I expect steam from the ears.

This talk needs shades, no hat

I won the veto. Heh heh heh.

Austin needs to go on the block.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Saturday, Power of Veto Winner - September 12

A house is not a home ...

Since pretty much all that has happened today was the Power of Veto comp which blocked the feeds for hours, this is just a brief update.

  • Johnny Mac won the Power of Veto.
  • You heard me.
  • It sounds like it was between Johnny Mac and Steve.
  • Liz is so not happy. Either she or Austin will go on the block against Steve.
  • All will probably hinge on the tiebreaker vote from Vanessa.
  • Heh.
  • Vanessa will have to decide something.

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Into Saturday, Nominations - September 12

The likely Final Three talk

Well, instead of being down until merely the middle of the night here on the East Coast, the live feeds were down until almost dawn! Okay, about 5am ET they came up. Geez. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Scampering Scamperers:
  • Vanessa chose a side despite her unwillingness to finally make up her mind.
  • Steve and Johnny Mac are on the block.
  • The big trip out of the house for Liz was a trip to an Ariana Grande show and hanging out with Frankie.
  • Ick. Certainly not my cuppa!
  • Liz chose Vanessa as her guest, not Austin. They apparently had to wear disguises because they're just that darn almost famous.
  • Austin was jealous. Oh, not about Vanessa. He was just worried that other guys might have flirted with Liz.
  • @@
  • Not too controlling and creepy, right?
  • Johnny Mac is the likely target this week because of more than a few reasons -- he was already evicted and came back, no one can really figure out what he'd do in different scenarios AND ... he went and told Liztin that he'd throw the veto to Austin if he would blow Vanessa's deal. Um. This isn't the time to be doing that stuff! Of course, Liz and Austin went running to Vanessa with that news!
  • Meanwhile, Steve has his own downfalls in their eyes. (By "their" I mean the most likely Final Three -- Austin, Liz and Vanessa.) He has been sneaky at times, he gets nervous and tries to cover stuff up and they think he's too popular with the jury.
  • Just a side note -- Austin needs to stop shoveling food so quickly into his mouth. It gets all over his bottom lip. Thankfully his facial hair doesn't grow that close to the lip. It's really poor manners and quite disgusting.
  • A lot will hinge on the Power of Veto later today.

On the block again

Dead man walking?

Ew, bottom lip grossness

Big Brother 17: Live Feeds Overnight into Friday - September 11

What will I do?

September 11 -- a day we'll never forget. Fourteen years have passed and the wounds don't heal. But, life does go on.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Indecisive Decisions:
  • As you know from the HoH comp update post previous to this, Vanessa won HoH with Johnny Mac on her heels and Austin not far behind. Liz was so far behind the others that she took the luxury prize when she got egg #4 across.
  • We don't know what that prize is yet. But, we can predict that if she can take a guest, she'll take Austin.
  • Although Vanessa kept saying she didn't want to win before the comp, she said paranoia took over and she didn't want the chance Austin would win if Johnny Mac dropped an egg.
  • Paranoia? Vanessa? You don't say!
  • The Vanessa rounds were all about "incentives" and how Vanessa is "incentivized."
  • I'm tired of that word this season. It can go away like the old "that's what she said" of a past season.
  • In talking to Austin/Liz, she told them in the long run a bit of what they wanted to hear, but also confronted them with various betrayals (real and perceived) by Austin.
  • In talking with Steve, she also brought up what she thought were some moments of weakness against her in his game, yet told him a lot of what he wanted to hear.
  • In talking to Johnny Mac, she didn't mention betrayals and seems to be favoring him.
  • With him, she talked about maybe putting up one from each side (for example - Austin and Steve) and letting the chips fall where they may.
  • But the hitch is that only two people vote this week -- in her scenario, Johnny Mac and Liz would vote. Normally, Liz would keep Austin, JM would keep Steve. Vanessa asked Johnny Mac if he'd vote the way she tells him. He agreed.
  • If she puts up one from each side and the other from each side votes their buddy, Vanessa would be the tiebreaker.
  • She'd have to make up her mind.
  • Oh noes!
  • Then Steve comes in and Vanessa confides in him about all the bad points from her talk with Johnny Mac.
  • Hmm.
  • I do get the feeling that she's leaning more into going forward with Steve and Johnny rather than Liz and Austin.
  • She claims to be in the middle of two couples -- Austwin and Rockstars.
  • The Have Not room is shut down and some sort of construction is going on inside.
  • They're also on an inside lockdown the house, so something is going on in the yard.
  • There's a ticker going across the top of the feeds screen saying they will pause from 9:45am PST to 11:30pm PST. I would guess for 9/11, but I question the times. Unrelated, wouldn't be Daylight time, not Standard? Second, could it be 11:30am, not 11:30pm? The times just aren't making sense. I suppose it could be all day. I guess we'll find out.
  • Back to Steve and Vanessa, they crunch numbers and scenarios.
  • Now it's to Austin and Vanessa. She mocks her talk with Johnny Mac to him, telling him that JM said he hates him all and she will never win more than second place.
  • Maybe she is with him.
  • Heck, I have no clue what she's going to do. Every other time we've known clearly from the get-go who she wants out. This time the future is cloudy.
  • I personally think she needs to get rid of Austin first as he's the most popular with everyone else in the house. But I'm privy to more private conversations and evicted hamster interviews than she is.
  • At this point, he would need to go first. Then Liz. Then it's a toss-up between Johnny Mac and Steve because they both have detractors on the jury.
  • But now, in her talk with Austin, it looks like Johnny Mac will be her target to go, then Steve.
  • Gah.
  • I guess we'll find out later today (or real late tonight if the scrolling marque is right time-wise).
  • This will go 'round in circles until nominations.
  • I'm getting dizzy.
  • Maybe I should go bowling.

Are those times right?
