BB19: Live Eviction and (start of) HoH Comp Blog Party - July 6

We've already lost two hamsters yet tonight is the first live eviction show. It seems like it's been more than a week for us already! There's been a lot of waffling with the votes and tonight's vote is only predictable in that it won't be unanimous.

As the show airs here, I'll be live-blogging and constantly updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

Judging by the scrolling banner on the live feeds page, tonight's HoH comp should be some sort of endurance comp running on after the live show ends. If that is indeed the case, I'll set up a separate post and keep updates on the comp going there.

Here are the blog pool match-ups for easy reference tonight -- Those who had Cameron have swapped and now have Paul. I think, since Megan was not evicted and it's so early in the season, it was best to reassign her people to new hamsters ... so, here ya go --

Christmas Abbott - Willie J, Rich from Buffalo, Glenn, QuixoticElf
Cody Nickson - MikesGirl, Chacha, Donna in NY, Delee

Elena Davies - Uncartie, Fred aka TwoBlackAces. Sharon N, chrob61

Ramses Soto - tbc, Pupis, Babs, Tammy
Raven Walton - Kristen from Ohio, David, Nora

Tonight's evictee will be the first out of the pool.

Hamster watchers ready?

Julie also says the vote is unpredictable. Now we're recapping and talking showmances. Then into Megan leaving, renoms, etc.

Veto meeting fallout. No one knew Cody's plan and no one is happy with it. Now he's blown the trust. Lines are being drawn. All kinds of kerfuffles going on about trust and loyalty. Even Jessica didn't know what Cody was going to do -- and that is true as per the live feeds.

Cody is steaming. Mark says he will remain loyal to him and it looks like Jason will in gratitude for Cody not putting him on the block. Matt, Raven and Elena try to convince Mark and Jessica that they need to not trust Cody -- he's a rogue as Matt says. The three say they will not vote out Christmas.

Uh-oh -- Christmas went riding on Jason's back, they fell and she thinks she broke her foot. Paul runs around campaigning for Christmas while she's at the hospital.

She returns on crutches. Jessica, Mark and Cody are not happy campers. Cody and Jessica know, as does Paul, that Christmas will target them. That is, if she can target anyone with a broken foot. She told them torn ligaments, but a later MRI showed two breaks in the foot. Ouch.

Lots of friction and waffles. Now Mark is feeling bad and befriends Christmas. He feels horrible about how he treated her (or didn't) when she returned to the house. They cry together.

To the living room live -
Christmas -- Thanks for keeping her the first time, even with the broken foot, here to play. Cody and Jessica are playing everyone. I will be loyal.
Jillian -- Love being here, gave it all, hard to know everyone, opened up and want to continue to grow and compete.

The live votes to evict:
Jessica - Christmas
Jason - Christmas
Kevin - Jillian
Matt - Jillian
Raven - Jillian
Paul - Jillian
To commercial ...
Ramses - Christmas
Dominque - Jillian
Alex - Christmas
Elena - Jillian
Mark - Jillian
Josh - Jillian

By a vote of 8 to 4, Jillian is evicted.

Cody looks at "his people" in disbelief and tries to confront Mark. Christmas and Jessica yell at each other. In her talk to Julie, Jillian is in shock -- she expected a tie with Cody voting to keep her.

Time to start the HoH comp. Grr, it's Candy Crush based. BB's Sugar Shot. Roll a ball to a heart on the Candy Crush game. Candies will contain tickets get a ball, can only get three shots at a time. It's like the one they did on BBOTT.

My coverage of the comp will be in a new post set to come up at 10pm ET. Be there or be square.

BB19: Live Feeds into Wednesday Evening - July 5

We're a weird cast

My apologies for not posting this morning. Between the blocked feeds for their holiday party and things being in limbo over Christmas, everything seemed to be rather circular conversation when the feeds were on. But I'm back with them today and here's what's been happening in that Big Brother House of Waiting for Christmas:
  • They had alcohol at the party last night. That's something that seems to be missing so far this season.
  • Last night, before it was certain about the fate of Christmas, Paul kept working the vote. Josh is aboard with keeping her.
  • Cody and Jessica had been working on Josh to vote her out.
  • Hmm.
  • And on that kind of thing went ...
  • Like last year, BB spent a lot of money buying fish and it went bad. You think they'd learn their lesson -- hamsters don't seem to be fish lovers.
  • Kevin told Cody he'll be voting to keep Jilliam. He was on the fence before. He might end up on that fence again.
  • Jason told Kevin that if they vote out Christmas, that will put Cody on their side and he's a good competitor.
  • (But I say he's a creepy dude.)
  • Christmas went off to the doctors and came back hours later.
  • The verdict? Two broken bones in her foot. She was told no competitions will be changed and the doctor will tell her if she can or cannot participate per comp.
  • Everybody rushed to greet her -- except Cody and Jessica.
  • Cody and Jessica remained up in the HoH room.
  • That didn't go unnoticed by the rest of the house.
  • Now Kevin isn't so sure about the vote. I think he's on the fence once again.
  • Right now the vote seems more up in the air.
  • I guess we'll see.

BB19: PoV Show Blog Party - July 5

As tonight's show airs, I'll be live-blogging and updating this entry on a regular basis. Please refresh the page to get the latest news! The real blog party is in the comments section -- please drop in and share your thoughts!

I realize that I didn't post a live feeds update this morning. But there were so many "what ifs" that it was like a circular discussion. For those who follow the feeds report, Christmas is back unless she goes tomorrow night. I'll post a report later tonight.

A new thing as of late --NO PERSONAL INFORMATION SUCH AS FULL NAMES/ADDRESSES ARE TO BE POSTED IN COMMENTS. This blog has thousands of readers and putting that information out there could be dangerous. All such comments have been removed and I'm not too happy that I said not to do it before it was done.

On with the show ...

Recap, recap. Megan just left the house. It seems so long ago.

Okay, now Alex is on the block. Cody likes her, but says he made the decision because his team wanted it.

Jessica tells Cody that he was emotional when he nominated Alex. She thinks it's a cute side of him. But she's jealous of what Cody might think of Alex. Oh, give me a break.

Alex wants to go after the showmances. Jason agrees with her as he's a married guy -- he will not be in a showmance this season!

Alex talks to Cody. She wont give it up. Cody likes her even more. He tells us he has to make it right.

The Den of Tempation wants them to enter one by one. They have to put their hand in the serpent's mouth. If it bites, it's the cursed one. They enter by bottle number order. Only Paul knows he won the Pendant of Protection and probably remembers the number of the random bottle pick.

Ramses's curse is that he has to place himself on the block as the third nominee sometime in the next three weeks.

Players get picked for the Veto Comp. Cody picks Matt. Alex picks Raven. Jillian gets Jason -- all random picks. The host is Kevin.

Heh, Kevin is a mermaid. The backyard is done in a beach theme. They have to gather starfish one at a time. First to find a large golden starfish gets off Have Not, but can no longer play for veto. Fin to Win.

Raven goes for the Temptation Starfish and is out of the comp.

Alex is taking some starfish from Matt's pile.

Cody obviously throws the comp. ALEX wins the Power of Veto!

Alex wanted to win it by herself. She didn't want Cody's help. Jessica is ticked.  Jason is worried he might go on the block. Even Matt is a bit upset that Alex has the veto. He brings up Jason as someone close to Alex. Paul throws in Ramses name. Cody thinks Paul is trying to puppetmaster and he (Paul) needs to go.

Paul goes to talk to Cody -- he doesn't want to even hint that he has protection. But he would like to know what Cody is thinking. Cody doesn't talk -- he says his actions will speak louder than his words. He tells us he plans on putting Paul on the block.

Jason goes to Cody, worried that he will go on the block and go home. Cody tells him he could be safe if he (Jason) gets HoH, doesn't put up Dominque or the couples. Um. Jason knows that if he goes on the block, he'll go home. Cody tells Jason nothing about who he'll put up. He tells us that both Paul and Christmas are dangerous.

Time for the Veto Meeting! This should be good. No one knows what Cody will do, not even Jessica. Alex saves herself. Cody says one common thread, someone trying to spoil the game, replacement nominee is Paul. The video screen comes to life for Paul to take out the Temptation. He tells them the Pendant of Protection keeps him safe for three weeks and he cannot be nominated. Cody nominates Christmas instead.

BB19: Live Feeds into Tuesday Evening - July 4

Spiffed mouse ears hair for the 4th

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Stars and Stripes:
  • As I get this typed up, the feeds are blocked and the hamsters are (probably) on an indoor lockdown.
  • Every 4th of July, CBS has big doings on its lot with amplified music and such. We get the shutdown. Hopefully they let the hamsters out to watch the fireworks while the feeds are Kitties!
  • Jason was the first one to wish America a Happy Birthday. I still can't get used to him without his hat on. He looks like an entirely different person!
  • BB apparently played patriotic songs for their wake-up music.
  • But not enough -- they wanted more.
  • I could sing for them. But that might make them all self-evict.
  • Kevin sang a song from 'Jersey Boys' until BB blocked that.
  • He sings better than I do.
  • Alex and Jillian talked about the votes to keep Jillian. They think they have Alex, Ranses, Kevin, Jessica, Jason and Josh.
  • Hmm. I'm not all that certain Josh, Jason or Kevin will go that way. Maybe.
  • Jason is getting irked about Dominque turning to the bible. Now, we know she's very into religion from various interviews and such. But the other hamsters don't know that. Jason thinks it's a new thing.
  • I personally don't know why a bible is always in the house.
  • I would suggest Cat Fancy magazines instead.
  • Alex, though "protected" by Cody, wants Jessica out.
  • Jessica would like Alex out.
  • And, so it goes on ...
  • Alex doesn't seem all that keen on Paul, but did share her Jessica thoughts with him. Paul thinks Jessica is a Mean Girl.
  • Cody gave Jessica a pep talk and props for rallying the troops and ensuring that Jillian will remain in the house.
  • Um.
  • Maybe.
  • I don't think so, though.
  • I could be wrong.
  • Josh Peeping Tom'd some of the girls in the shower. Not cool.
  • Christmas thinks the votes against her staying will be Ramses, Jessica, Alex and Jason. She just might lay a guilt trip on Jason for her injury.
  • Christmas is very worried about tomorrow's MRI. She doesn't want to get pulled from the game.
  • Christmas told Cody that she thinks he threw the PoV to Alex.
  • Paul is working on getting Jason to vote to keep Christmas.
  • Ohhh! Matt says he has information that could get Cody evicted. He didn't say what it is. But, for some reason, I believe him. Cody is a rather oddly evil kind of dude, methinks.
  • Jessica tried to convince Matt that to keep Christmas in is to hurt her (Jessica).
  • I think Matt has a mind of his own.
  • That's about it for now. At least tomorrow, we can judge whether Cody threw the PoV or not!

Yes, please

Who, me?

Paul looks Fidel-ish in a patriotic cap

BB19: Live Feeds into Tuesday Morning - July 4

He wants everyone to just have fun

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Harried Hamsters:
  • Christmas has to go for her MRI tomorrow. There is no break as per x-rays, but there are torn/pulled ligaments. They just want to make sure there's not more damage. BB left her ice packs, ace bandages and Tylenol in the storage room. She said the hospital gave her stronger drugs.
  • She insists she'll be fine in a couple of days.
  • Kevin too has to take a medical trip out tomorrow. He broke a tooth and, due to today's holiday, it can't be treated until Wednesday. He said they're going to pull it -- obviously not a front tooth! BB gave him Anbesol. (sp?)
  • New this year: The BB voice announced that the houseguests must be awake from 9am to 10pm.
  • Good. They can't just nap the day away.
  • Alex, Ramses and Jason talked about Paul's gameplay, wondering exactly what he's up to.
  • But, then again, Alex isn't sure what Ramses is up to, either.
  • To me, just observing, I'm not sure Ramses knows what Ramses is up to. He's trying to mingle all over and basically stay below the radar it seems.
  • Jessica and Cody still think they have enough votes to vote out Christmas. Jessica thinks Kevin will vote to keep her because of her injury.
  • Jason is on board with voting out Jillian. At least that's what he told Paul.
  • Interesting ... Jessica said she failed the initial drug test to get on the show. I would guess prescription drugs maybe -- we know that for the last several seasons, we've had a ton of young hamsters on daily meds.
  • They were also all tested for STDs. With the way some jump right into beds, that's a good thing. And, yeah, there are always condoms in the storage room.
  • Christmas likened Cody's game to psychological warfare in a talk with Elena.
  • She has his number.
  • Jessica really wants Christmas out -- maybe some of it due to Christmas telling her she's guilty by association for Cody putting her on the block.
  • Mark, one of the few who actually kind of sort of seems loyal to his buddy Cody, is drifting away. Dominique told him he needs to distance himself.
  • Then, later in the evening, Mark broke down totally, crying to Christmas.
  • Mark, most likely a nice guy at heart, says he's not having fun in the house now.
  • Well, put on those big boy pants, Mark! You went into a house known for deceit and backstabbing!
  • While Christmas and Mark talked, both shed some tears.
  • Mark says he needs to separate his gameplay and friendship with Cody. That's not the person he is, he says.
  • He says at heart he's a Momma's boy and too emotional. He told Christmas that choosing between supporting two friends, he chose the wrong one (Cody) and apologizes.
  • Yet Jessica and Cody still think they have the majority vote.
  • Oh my.
  • Elena and Matt find it odd that Mark cried to Christmas when he wanted to vote her out yesterday.
  • Hmm.
  • No one really trusts anyone.
  • As it should be in the BB House of Madness.

She insists she's fine

Talking about Cody and Jessica

Tears of friendship

BB19: There's Been an Accident Bulletin - UPDATED

Christmas was riding on Jason's back when she fell. She's pretty certain she broke her foot. It took a while for the medic/nurses to attend to her -- apparently one "didn't want to be on camera."

She was taken away to the hospital. So far there is no definite word whether it's an actual break and/or whether she might return. But it doesn't look good. It's been nearly five hours.

In other news while I'm here  -- Ramses revealed his "curse" (from Paul's bottle pick in the Den of Temptation) is that he has to make himself a third nominee in the next(?) nominations.

UPDATE: Christmas has returned to the house with a cast on her foot. She has torn tendons (?) and has to go for an MRI on Wednesday. While she still might be pulled from the game, she's back for now.

BB19: Live Feeds into Monday Morning - July 3

Kevin tells stories to the crowd

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Bamboozlement:
  • If you're not up to snuff -- Alex took herself off the block. Cody, after supposedly "working with" Paul and Christmas, tried to put Paul up. Paul brought out his Pendant of Protection. So, Cody put Christmas on the block after he previously told her he'd be loyal and they'd make it to jury.
  • Fireworks before the 4th ensued!
  • A shot rang out!
  • The maid screamed!
  • Er. Ahem.
  • It's not looking too good for Jillian right now.
  • Even Cody's "people" were blindsided by his choice.
  • Even his best buddy Mark, talked with Christmas and is willing to work with her.
  • Cody's bunch thinks it makes them ALL look bad like they were in on the decision.
  • And, they weren't.
  • It definitely looks like most of Cody's group will defect and vote Jillian out.
  • Jessica remains loyal-ish to Cody. Even she was upset about being totally blindsided and Cody telling Paul that "many" people said he was causing issues.
  • Alex still wants to split up the couples.
  • Josh has calmed down. His loyalty will also be to Christmas because she consoled him when he was down.
  • Kevin is still the entertainment in the house -- he's no threat to any of them in physical comps. But, if he makes it to the end game, he just might win socially.
  • Cody's "people" Matt and Raven have already committed their vote to keep Christmas.
  • The Christmas people want to make sure they have the votes. They don't want a tie because Cody would vote out Christmas.
  • Cody thinks he still has the majority of the votes backing his decision.
  • I guess we'll see.

I'm either the best or worst BB player

I love to snag bad screen shots

Has calmed down a lot

BB19: Live Feeds into Sunday Evening - July 2

Paul is livid

It's time we got some kerfuffles and brouhahas going in the BB19 house! Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Turmoil and Tension:
  • All was going rather peachy keen until today's Veto Ceremony.
  • Then all heck broke loose.
  • Of course, the ceremony itself was blocked to the live feeds.
  • But we saw the aftermath.
  • Alex saved herself. We knew she would.
  • True to what he's said in DR sessions on the show, Cody tried to backdoor Paul.
  • Heh. I don't care that much for Paul and I personally would have preferred all newbies this season.
  • But Cody creeps me out and it's good to see some comeuppance.
  • Paul revealed his taking of the Temptation - the Pendant of Protection. So, now all know he has three weeks of safety.
  • Instead of putting Jason up like there were hints, Cody put Christmas on the block with Jillian.
  • Totally unexpected by all.
  • After all, we know Cody told NO ONE who he would nominate.
  • In the verbal brouhahas that ensued, Cody tried to back out and tell Paul that "many" people brought him (Paul) up as a source of turmoil in the house.
  • Paul ranted on and on that this was the same thing that happened last season -- people he thought he could trust, he couldn't.
  • Meanwhile, Christmas was ready for blood!
  • I swear, if there had been fisticuffs at that time between Christmas and Cody, my money would have been on Christmas for the win.
  • Even Jessica feels blindsided by Cody's actions.
  • It turns out that several of the hamsters actually like Paul and want him in the game. Christmas is close to Paul, so they plan to support her.
  • They also realize that Alex seems to be being protected by Cody and many believe he threw the PoV comp to her.
  • Matt seems to be stuck in the middle. He won't say anything bad about Cody because of their friendship. But he seems to be being drawn by Elena and Raven to support Christmas.
  • Cody wants Christmas out over Jillian. He got Mark and Jason to agree with him.
  • But that's subject to change.
  • It's looking like Christmas has more people wanting her to stay than Jillian.
  • It's definitely a house divided though.
  • And Cody Creepy Eyes better watch his back. He's put a huge target on t and I don't think his friends will stay on the sinking ship.

Christmas is livid

Cody is pacing like a pent-up animal

Bystanders are dazed and confused

BB19: Megan's Exit, Pendant of Safety Show Blog Party - July 2

As tonight's show airs, I'll be live-blogging and updating this entry on a regular basis. Please refresh the page to get the latest news! The real blog party is in the comments section -- please drop in and share your thoughts!

Those of you with the live feeds know there were some happenings in the house today. I'll be posting a full report a bit later tonight and ask that you not post spoilers from the live feeds in comments on this show post. Some of the people reading or taking part on the show posts don't know (maybe don't want to know) spoilers. Thank you!

On with the show ...

Okay, we have to get through the "previously on Big Brother" bit. They end it with the fact that there will be a shocking revelation. Although it's technically a spoiler, it's isn't really -- it was all over the internet.

Finally we pick it up at the end of the ceremony. Paul is shocked he didn't go on the block. Jillian cries. Megan is upset that Cody made a personal attack when he put her up on the block. Josh attacked her. She's never been so anxious in her life, doesn't know if she can take it.

Josh and Jillian bond. A Mark/Elena showmance is starting and leads us into the Jessica/Cody showmance. Raven and Matt? Hmm. Josh is emotional.

Time for the Have Not selection! Cody chooses the first five Have Nots of the summer. He asks for volunteers -- Josh, Ramses, Megan, Jillian, Paul volunteer. The Have Not room has spiky egg carton kind of beds. There is a Have Not Escape -- only if they give into Temptation. The first to the DR to ask for a key needs to choose between two colored spikes, wrong one extra week.

Into Megan telling Alex that Jessica called her "panda." It all blows up. Jessica denies it. Alex blows up at Megan. Megan cries in the Diary Room and says no one trusts her and she "can't do this."

Now the other hamsters are talking about how long Megan has been in the Diary Room. Kevin is thinking fatherly about the situation. Finally Cody comes and gathers all in the living room.  He has an official BB envelope -- "Due to a personal emergency, Megan will not be participating in the game."

Cody has to put someone else on the block the next day. His crew is pressuring him to put Alex on the block. He tells us that he likes Alex and thinks she's one whose game he respects.

Paul tells them he's taking the Have Not Temptation. They gather in the HN room. He takes the Orange spike and gets it! He's free from being a Have Not.

They all go to the living room with a video of the Den of Temptation -- each week America will vote to give someone a temptation, if someone takes the temptation, a consequence will be unleashed.

One by one, they go into the room. All get envelopes. Paul gets a glowing table with a pendant. The Pendant of Protection will protect him from the next three evictions. He only has to reveal if he's nominated. It also said that someone will be in jeopardy the next three weeks. He takes it (of course).

One of the hamsters will be cursed from his random pick of a bottle. He doesn't know who he's picking.

The Den video appears. It tells them the Temptation has been taken. The consequence will be unleashed in "due time." Be worried the next time you're called to the den.

America's Vote - The Ring of Replacement is this one coming up.

Cody bonds with Alex, tells her he wants to work with her.

Nominations time again ... has to name someone to replace Megan. He nominates ... Alex. (Probably because she told him that she wanted to break up his group. He wants her to compete in the PoV.)

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - July 2, 2017

Good morning! Since it's a SUNDAY morning, this is my weekly off television topic post taking a look at the week gone by in both words and photographs I've taken along the way. This weekly post is done year in, year out. Big Brother, the main draw for so many of you, only lasts about three months -- although sometimes it seems to be a lifetime. If you're here solely for the BB posts, please feel free to skip this post. You can find my latest BB19 posts by using this link.

Some of the big news of the past week is that BB19 indeed did start, so I'm bound to be more exhausted than I usually am. Maybe by this time next year, I'll be retired from my real job and able to do all I want to do in covering the show and live feeds!

I started my staycation Friday evening. So, for now, I'm doing fine.

I finally bit the bullet and went for Amazon Prime. As they remind me when I sign on, I've been a customer since 2003. I tried Prime when they first came out with it and wasn't impressed. However, I do love Amazon.com. Over the years, I've had deliveries come to my workplace as I went for the longer no exact date free shipping -- there's always someone at my workplace to sign for packages even if I'm not there. But I have been limited to ordering only things I didn't mind lugging to the train station, on the train, etc. And, I found that if I ordered for at home during a staycation, USPS would sometimes just leave a package without ringing the intercom! There are about 40 apartments in my building. Packages get stolen!

But, now with Prime, there is free two-day shipping and it's UPS. They ring the intercom. They guarantee the delivery date. So, I can order big stuff and know I'll be home for the delivery. My past two orders, set to arrive on my day off (and they did) were a nice new spinner mop and bucket -- much needed -- and a tower fan -- love it!

Yesterday I went online and ordered me some bath salts, bubble bath, two different body sprays and some new towels as mine are really showing their age. I also ordered something I've needed for YEARS -- a new computer desk chair. The one I use is about 24 years old and lost its arms years back. I noticed that the computer chair free shipping has it arriving either the 5th or 6th ... that's fine. I can track it. I didn't notice the towels, bubble bath and bath salts were free shipping NEXT DAY delivery. The two very cheap body sprays are free shipping two-day delivery. I had thought the chair and the other things ordered would be two separate deliveries, but it's three. Oh, well. I don't mind.

So, now as I type this up, I've already had the delivery of the towels and the bath goodies on a SUNDAY morning! I love it! Vincent has a new nice-sized box and I'll have a leisurely either bath salts or bubble bath while trying out Not Your Father's Ginger Ale (hard ginger ale I bought last week or the week before but haven't tried yet), maybe listening to some jazz. Now, THAT is a staycation!

I also have, from my Wednesday grocery delivery, a GIANT watermelon roommate I've named Mel. I thought I was ordering a personal size watermelon but must have clicked the wrong button. It was reasonably priced, but it's huge! I plan to cut into it on the 4th and hand out slices to neighbors watching the parade go by while keeping a more suitable amount for myself in my refrigerator. Right now it's sitting on a kitchen chair. I'm tempted to draw a face on it.

In more regional kind of news, there's a New Jersey government shutdown going on here. Just in time for the big vacation/holiday week, all the state parks and beaches are closed. State courts and motor vehicles are also shut down. While none of the things shut down affect any of my plans for this week, I feel so bad for families who have vacations planned, monies laid out and such. What a horrible time to to pull that ____!

Onto this week's photos ... I really didn't have a good photography week, but ...!

It's MY private train car!

A lot of people must have had this past week off. I was all alone in the top level of my train car Monday on the way to work. I don't mind that, not at all.

The hour is up!

This is what the Flowers of An Hour look like when it's not that hour.

BB19: Live Feeds into Sunday Morning - July 2

Is this thing really comfortable?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Talk Shows Gone Wild:
  • Again, there's not all that much to report.
  • The big thing is that they put on a talk show -- Dominque interviewed two hamsters (Kevin, then Mark), asking questions regarding being in the house and such.
  • Kevin wore his favorite suit and looked spiffy indeed.
  • He, as usual, was funny.
  • They better keep him in the house at least most of the summer, if not all. He's the most entertaining hamster we've seen in years.
  • Plus, we know we won't have to endure a showmance with him -- he would NEVAH!
  • The second guest, Mark, wore his favorite workout clothes. A lot of his questions were regarding his showmance with Elena.
  • Oh my.
  • All during the "show" Paul and Christmas were together, often caressing each other's arms, legs and such.
  • Ew! Ew!
  • I thought Christmas had more sense than that!
  • Jessica and Cody were noticeably absent from the studio crowd. Alex didn't seem to be there either. Nor was Josh.
  • The plan is to have these "shows" on Sundays and Wednesdays from now on.
  • Jason apparently wears his cowboy hat all the time not just because he's a rodeo clown, but he's pretty bald.
  • He should embrace his baldness!
  • Alex told Jillian that she thinks that Kevin would vote to keep her over Cowboy.
  • They know that Paul has safety for this first week.
  • They don't know he has it for the next three weeks.
  • Thanks a lot, TV only watchers. YOU don't have to listen to him dominate every single conversation, peppering all with profanities, when he's in a room.
  • I honestly think he can't say a sentence without cuss words thrown in.
  • While almost all in the house tend to potty mouths, he's the worst case scenario.
  • Cody is still keeping his replacement choice to himself.
  • But they're all thinking it's Jason.
  • Cody thinks it's every woman''s dream to be with a Marine.
  • Gah.
  • Cody, when questioned by Jessica, told her that whenever Paul and Christmas are in a room, the atmosphere changes.
  • Jessica told him that Paul is to her like Alex seems to be to him (Cody). Paul saved her with the friendship bracelet and she feels the need to protect him a bit.
  • Mark told Paul that Elena might be playing him with the showmance and he knows Alex is coming after showmances. Will he give Elena up? I don't know. But he is definitely having second thoughts about getting involved.
  • Paul told Mark that Kevin can be trusted.
  • I'm not sure when the PoV ceremony will be. When I know, you'll know.

BB19: Live Feeds into Saturday Evening - July 1

You guys on 19 are so much better for me!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Social Butterflies:
  • Oh my gosh ... a whole lotta nuthin' happened.
  • No brouhahas to speak of.
  • Not even a real kerfuffle.
  • So, this is mostly observational tonight.
  • I watched Jess and Cody talking alone in the kitchen -- just talk about school sports they took part in and stuff. He came across as almost normal until ...
  • ... the BB voice told all the hamsters to go into the house. All of a sudden he became Mannequin Man, just sitting and staring.
  • It's not like he doesn't know these people by now.
  • He makes my reaction in crowds look normal.
  • Paul is still Paul. He's overplaying his social game, methinks. He was telling them how much better they are than the BB18 cast.
  • Hmm.
  • He's definitely bitter over the vote last season even though he told them he liked Nicole the best of all in the house -- even over Victor.
  • He and Victor have grown apart since the end of the season. No surprise there!
  • Then there's Josh. He has calmed down and now seems to be scrambling to try to redeem himself.
  • Too late. He's already proved to be a loose cannon.
  • No, I don't know why Kevin told Paul he took the money. Perhaps so that Paul might have some kind of loyalty to him for getting him back in the house.
  • But, we know that if Kevin had hit his buzzer, most of the others tried.
  • He would have made it back in just as he did.
  • In the strategy arena -- Alex told Cody she'd save Jillian with the veto if he would protect her and put Jason on the block. Cody does seem to have something to prove with his loyalty to Alex, said he will protect her until they get to jury.
  • Hmm.
  • We still don't know how Alex ended up on the block in Megan's place.
  • Alex thinks Cody threw the PoV to her.
  • How did he end up putting her on the block? Gah! It's driving me bonkers.
  • There ya go ...

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Hungry Hamsters:
  • Heh. Apparently (blocked to the live feeds), Kevin was a mermaid host for the PoV comp.
  • I was wondering the thinking behind putting him in this cast, but now I definitely get it. His kids got him to apply. He doesn't know the show. He's old enough to be the father of his fellow hamsters. The guy IS funny. Plus, in a way, he's a breath of fresh air being so unfamiliar with the show and actually admitting it. We've seen so many recruits come in oblivious and pretend they're experts. I am entertained by him. He's very different from what we see most seasons.
  • Just to bring you up to snuff if you've been living under a BB fake rock -- Megan and Jillian were the nominees. Megan exited the house on her own volition. Alex was put on the block in her place. Alex won PoV. Jessica and Cody are the first showmance of the season.
  • Although she'll be safe this week with the PoV, Jessica and Raven want to target Alex next. They think she's too good at comps and also believe that Cody has a soft spot or wants to protect her.
  • Christmas also doesn't care for Alex -- she thinks Alex is too aggressive with everyone in the house.
  • Now, I myself am surprised by Alex. I had the impression of "bimbo" in her Jeff interview and she's turning into anything but a bimbo. She's truly a competitor. I like that. But, of course, if I were a house hamster, I'd think of her as a threat to my game.
  • Meanwhile, Cody told Mark that his loyalty to Alex is just a ploy to show the others that he can be loyal to anyone.
  • Um. Okay.
  • We know Josh is weird, but so is Cody.
  • Just a different kind of weird.
  • Cody's bro-alliance doesn't seem like they're going to stay all that loyal to him.
  • He seems to have a fixation with his combat days in the service. Hmm.
  • Jason knows he's being considered for the replacement nom.
  • Even those closest to Cody aren't sure what he's going to do. He's very tight-lipped.
  • Cody is odd. He told a story about going to Ferguson during the riots "just to see if I would survive." Say what?
  • Plus, he sits there like a robot half the time. He creeps me out more and more.
  • A staring robot.
  • A lot of them are sporting bruises, pains and scrapes from the veto comp.
  • They all went to bed early last night.
  • While I haven't heard the exact words from his mouth -- I had to skip all around the flashbacks to catch up on the feeds -- I do think Paul has the three weeks of safety. Someone was talking about it, but didn't exactly come out and say "Paul." but that seemed the case in context.
  • More later!

If I go, do I get paid for two weeks?
