Boy, the stylists made Lil Kim look softer and prettier than I've ever seen her. And she seemed so cute and friendly... no sign of the hard a$$ chick we used to know. Maybe she's grown, or maybe this is an effort to rehab her image. So far, A+ on that.

ReplyDeleteI liked them too Margo. I thought he did a really good job considering how he started out. Judges didn't thought. Thought Lacie's dark teal dress with peacock feathers looked incredible. I see they have gotten hold of her in Hollywood and gotten her to slim down. I think there is more to it all than diet and exercise. I know there are many actors on human growth hormone and are taking various diet pills, metabloism boosters, etc... not to mention lyposuction etc.

Ty the cowboy wil hopefully improve and stay awhile. I'd like him to get over his initial butch-ness (lol)... His masculinity seems to be a bigger obstacle than learning the steps. If he can reframe it as a gentlemanly thing to do, and a competition like his sport is, it will really help him.
I am glad the Olympian was good enough to be in the middle, but didn't blow us away as the sure winner from the get go like the ice skater and speed skater did in the past (Anton? Ono? I can't remember names for nothin!)
I was surprised that Belinda Carlysle wasn't better. So we shall see. I am not looking at the scores but just my feeling about them

ReplyDeleteI just saw a clip on Access Hollywood with Nancy O'Dell. They were talking about Melissa and said she was on Dallas Cheerleaders in 2006 and was one of the featured contestants. They also said That Len was one of the judges for that show! Which means he has already watched Melissa perform and was familiar with her skills(not to mention looks and body). Glad to hear she did well.

I love Holly Madison and was pleased with her peformance. She was better than a whole handful of them with only a week's practice. I have high hopes for her.
As always I love Julianne and she looked so lovely and graceful. Regardless of performances, I hope this is a good relationship experience for her & Chuck.
And I'm so thrilled that Chelsie is on the show. I loved her on SYTYCD and she has so much personality. I'm sure with a little work she'll get Ty to loosen up.
From what we saw last night, I think there's a lot of potential for this season. Very exciting.
Being from Iowa, of course, I want Shawn to go far, though I wonder if she may not be like Misty MT last season and have too much strength. What an awsome, grounded young lady, still even went to public school. So many this year seemed apologetic or like they did not want to be there at all. If Belinda gets dizzy on spins, why did she sign up for the show? LT--take him or leave him. At least Steve W. was having fun. I hope the fix is not in for Melissa to win since the network must have gotten such a backlash from the Bachelor debacle.

ReplyDeleteJenna Morasca (Survivor Amazon winner) has joined TNA Wrestling and will make her debut in the square-circle during TNA: iMPACT's March 12 broadcast on Spike TV.
Todd Herzog (Survivor China) is dating Tocantin's Spencer Duhm. They met a month before the current season began. Todd thinks Tyson has a great sense of humor (?) and he dislikes Coach because Coach said before this season began that Todd and Parvati were two of Survivor's weakest players. He really wants Coach to lose. I think most of us do.
Also Jeff Probst helped a camerawoman who suffered two seizures as he was answering questions at a media event. He caught her her and lowered her as she fell. She came to, then had a second one. He stayed with her until medical personnel arrived. Jeff Probst is a good guy.

I think Holly did pretty well for the little time she had to practice and having no dance experience at all. I think Karina and Steve will be the first one's out, but that's okay, she still gets to take home the best prize on the show imo, Maks!

I am curious as to why so many people dislike Karina. Other than some of the facial expressions she's been caught with (many of which I think were due to nervousness about being eliminated), what are the other reasons she is so disliked? I personally like her and think she can outdance any of the other female pros. She and Maks make a smoking hot couple - though he really should be with me, LOL.

I went home yesterday and asked Mom guess who we got in the pool. She says Woz. I said yes and she said I could have changed it. I told her that wasn't fair - it is totally random. I put the names in a bowl and pick them out one at a time as I go down the list of contestants. Once all contestants have a pool partner then I start over at the top until I run out of names. I think we might move to the Gilles Cheryl camp when Woz goes home - cause they are sizzling!

LOL LG-- Well, my husband just told me he read in US magazine that Molly will be moving in with Jason and his brother and his girlfriend, who he lives with... (DH said -- Guess REALITY will really set in, lol). And it says no one is really sure what Jason does for work, or that he doesn't do what he said he did.

Great show last night. I know I'm supposed to be rooting for Belinda, but she kinda sucks! LOL I'm so glad that Melissa is doing so well. I liked Gilles and Cheryl's performance, but don't think it rated 9s. Shawn is a little powerhouse and cute as a button. Denise did much better than last week, but I'm still not too impressed yet. Too bad about Steve-O, I hope he will be able to continue. I thought Lil Kim did a really good job. She is actually much less plastic looking than she has been in the past. I don't know if its the makeup or what, but she's looking much softer and better to me. I'm still rooting for Holly. I hope she will be able to continue on and show some real improvement. I don't think you guys will have to suffer watching Karina any longer, cuz I think they are out tonight. That is probably a good thing for Steve with that foot.

ReplyDeleteI really liked Tony & Melissa's dance. I thought Cheryl and Gilles were scored to high. It took me through about half there song to figure out the Superman/kryptonite connection to their wardrobe.

ReplyDeleteIt's strange, but I have been watching since the first season. I have reached the point where I can just about guess what score the judges will give each of the dancers.
Last night I asked how long y'all think that Molly and Jason will last. I agree with the at least 3 months, less than 6. I think when Molly finds out that there will be no more of the fancy trips, goodies, etc, the romance will be over. I just can't see her wanting to live in Seattle on $60,000 a year. That is an expensive place!

I couldn't agree more. Part of the reason I watch DWTS is for the fun and laughs. I'm not a dancing purist by any means. The person I root for and pick to win is in my opinion the BEST dancer, but I also enjoy the hijinks (sp) and the goofy performances. I wanted to see Cloris outlast Susan Lucci last year because Susan, to me, was painful to watch and Cloris made me laugh.
I never wanted or thought for a minute that Cloris would win or deserved to win it all. My WV is too funny to repeat. :)
I have Holly in the pool and so I guess I should be rooting for her, but she's not my favorite. She's really stiff legged and looks so uncomfortable out there on the floor.

Even though I had Belinda in the pool, I wasn't sad to see her go. I was happy that Steve gets to stick around at least for another week. I just hope he doesn't do too much damage to his foot. By the way I cut my first bouquet of daffodils today. Yea is is spring FINALLY. I observed Mr Wren making a nest in a pot on top of a table with plastic chairs upside down on top. He flys past a perfectly good bird house to hop under these chairs. The chairs are going back on the ground and I had planned on putting flowers in the pot - so hopefully Mrs Wren explains to him that a nice cozy house would be more suitable for their brood.
I love the way Mr Wren sings - telling anyone who will listen that he has a beautiful new nest already to move into - nice and moss lined.

Following the first two weeks, I am liking Gilles, Melissa or Shawn for the win, but one of the others may really step it up throughout the season.
I think they may be encouraging the female professionals to wear more clothes this season. I barely recognized Edyta. :)
