Dancing With the Stars Blog Discussion Post - Fall 2009

Yes, it's a new season of Dancing With the Stars! This is YOUR place for discussion about the show with friends. Grab your comfy chair, bring snacks and beverages ... and, most of all ... have a good time. Oh -- there is a dance floor over there if you want to practice your moves, too.

The show's official website is here, but the real action is right here in comments!

  1. Thanks, Jackie. Okay, where are the posters.

  2. Oh, there you are... OK... thanks Jackie.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Becky... I know I won't see my dancer tonight, but when she came down the stairs she acted like she was stepping on her heel first. Not a good sign for me.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Bruno is a dud! I thought that Edyta and Ashley were good. Much better than kung-fu-fighting -- which had Bruno panting!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Hey, Meb. I thought he was much better than their scores.

I went to the old site and there were so many post that I asked Jackie on the A-R post to please start a new catagory.

My person won't be on until tomorrow either.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Thought Edyta's partner was stiff as a board.

    I liked Bruno's dance.

To each her own I guess. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  7. I saw you had asked. Ask and ye shall receive.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I have to admit tho he deserved better scores than what they gave him.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Donnie wasn't bad at all. One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite Broadway musicals.

WV kewst -- Donnie is the kewst so far. Groannnnnnnn

  11. Hey, Margo. Thought this was going to be the Meb and Becky show tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I know he's theatrical, but I LOVED Donny. He was good and gonna be a contender!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Oh thank you Margo... I couldn't remember her name.

Yea, where is everybody. I even tried to recruit some if you know what I mean and no one listened.

    Well Margo did, so YAY!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I've seen 3 dances so far. I like the looks of the Chairman. He is very exotic looking. Ashley is dancing next.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Michael I. is funny! Just love those Cowboys, former ones that is.... Margo, I will tell you now, if my girl gets voted out I am crawling onto your float.

WV: rooty -- makes me want to rooty for him!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I think he is doing good for a first dance.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I'll be sure to get a double wide float so there will be enough room for all.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Better make it a triple Margo... I don't see much going on for Macy... we shall see.

    ReplyDelete
  19. It wasn't much of a cha cha. Good hop, jump and get 'em dance.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Maybe I'll get arm floaties with Micheals picture on them.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Louie has the smile down

    ReplyDelete
  22. I tried to vote, but it won't accept my votes for Michael.

Yucko Delay is next. Can't stand that man.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Putting the moves on Bruno. That should make his little heart patter! Sorry, just don't care for the man.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Would you guys please check and see if it will accept your vote for Michael? I hope he isn't kicked off because it won't take votes.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thanks Jackie...

I went to the old one long ago and looked at the end of 600+ comments. Just saw new entry up. Yippee!!!

A lot of rough talent this year. Iron Chef dude was the best so far...My Louis has promise but he is so short and of course the hair was not liked but that is part of snowboarding.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm almost caught up - tom is dancing now

    ReplyDelete
  27. Votes aren't open yet are they. I thought you had to wait until the end of the show.

Tom wasn't that bad (as a dancer). I thought for some of the votes for others, he deserved more than what he got.

    ReplyDelete
  28. hey delee - welcome to a new season

    ReplyDelete
  29. it said thank you for voting for micheal and anna

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hey Margo...how ya doin

    ReplyDelete
  31. Becky haha the gang is mostly here...

Like the salsa thing...nice to finish with that!

Tall to short big difference in height of the guys.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Donnie did an outstanding job.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Edyta has to do a bikini wax. If her gown was any lower in front her fou fou would be showing!

    ReplyDelete
  34. OT Becky--- called the vet tis morn they said with kennel cough meds that she would not need the CIV shots. But if she develops a cough at any time to bring her in. Another thing to worry about and watch for somewhere in the future. Ugh

    ReplyDelete
  35. donnie is so corny and he has got to stop the weird facial expressions.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Okay, it finally let me vote for Michael.

    ReplyDelete
  37. hi Gang!

Donny was purdy good. I have him in the pool.... he's not my fave old teen heart trhob. I'd have to say David Cassidy or someone like that. But I knew when I got him that he'd be in for a while!

Tivoing the 2 hour Heroes for my husband in the other room.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Why are they all not doing the salsa...how can you compare two totally different dances. DUH!!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Deelee, good news about not needing another shot. Sometimes I think our pets get sick more often, just like our grandkids because we over inoculate them.

I sure have been getting some strange WV tonight. Not ones I could share. A wee bit naughty

    ReplyDelete
  40. that was toned down - I would hate to see the original version

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hey Rochelle glad u joined us.

My wv have been stange and long too!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hey, Sydney. You boy "did good"!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Anyone know where sydney is tonite?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thoroughly confused on R or S...

    ReplyDelete
  45. Tom Delay -- Yucky. His hair, his teeth. Does not look natural. Didn't see anything but the group dance that just happened. How was he? Maybe you already said in the comments.

Just scored 4th place in the rankings. Poor Cheryl. But she has had her time in the spotlight the last few seasons....

Did anyone see Max and K. dance on the Emmy's last night? AND NOW ladies and Gentlement, newly broken up duo.. ugh

    ReplyDelete
  46. i think we all nee to vote for micheal - he needs our votes cause the judges are not helping

    ReplyDelete
  47. Sydney has Donny in the pool - who is rochelle?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I have used up my votes. Most of them went to Michael. I am getting off the computer. Time to get ready for beddy bye soon. A big day tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I don't know a Rochelle. Welcome to the group Rocky. Guess you can pick who you want to support.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hi all. I'm a bit late but I saw the whole show and I must say no one is that bad. They all seem genuinely enthused to be there. My pool person is Chuck Liddell. At first glance he would so not be my pick-never heard of him, don't like wrestling, and I abhor boxing (I never understood how beating each other near to death is considered a sport). After seeing him though I see he put forth so much effort and is likeable. So I shall root for him even if it's probably short lived. Gotta love a guy who tries :)

After that , I may have to join you on your float gaylos- that Aaron Carter can dance, and also you Tessa-Derek is my favorite of the male dancers (have you watched his spins; they are incredible) but I've never heard of Joanna Krupa (model?). Models are iffy when it comes to actual coordination and strength haha.

So we shall see. Donny was good; he is talented and entertaining. I just hope he doesn't overdo the theatrics at the expense of the dancing and end up in a Pinochio (sp?)costume with a dance to rival sister Marie's doll bit!

Can't wait for the gals tomorrow. (and the male professionals:)
    ML
wv is comen: Derek and Mark and all the male pros are comen up tomorrow YAY!. Oh, and the ladies, too, haha.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I think I need to learn a little more about my guy. I've been on the computer all the while the show has been on, and completely missed him. When they did the relay waltz, I finally figured out who it was.

Someone said earlier that he was a chef. But when I saw their introduction, I thought he was a martial arts champion or something. I had no idea he was the chef I was supposed to be cheering for!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Was that a Jackson sitting next to Marie Osmond in the audience?

    ReplyDelete
  53. PDX Granny- I think he's the one they call an assortment of names- champion, iron chef, kung fu guy, but by process of elimination I figured he has to be Mark Dacascos- your guy. I have to admit, I have never heard of at least one third of these people!
    ML

    ReplyDelete
  54. I hope a guy doesn't win this year. They are not particularly good ; )

My money is on Natalie Coughlin. And I'm assuming the women will have a better showing in general tomorrow night than the men. And it seems obvious that Donny has the most fans for the guys so he just may make it to the finals like Marie.

Did anyone notice that they flashed a pic of Jessie when they showed BB in the reality montage at the emmies. Ick!

And I agree with Jackie, I was so hoping that Jim Parsons would get the emmie for Sheldon. I was not pleased that Alec Baldwin took it. But I was happy for Jon Cryer.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Of the guys, my fav so far is iron chef guy who's partnered with Lacy.

  57. PDX Granny...Mark Dacascos is the chairman on Iron Chef. He's not an actual chef. If you've never seen the show he's kind of like Padma Lakshmi is on Top Chef, not exactly a host, but the one that introduces the challenges and stuff. I don't know if he's a martial arts champion or not, but he does martial arts as a hobby so Lacey incorporated a lot of that into their routine.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I thought Aaron Carter was a little frantic, but has lots of potential. Chuck Liddell was pretty poor and overscored, imo. I thought Donny was great. Louie Vito is adorable and I hope him and Chelsie stick around for awhile. Ashley Hamilton and Tom DeLay were alright, but probably don't have the fanbase to stick around for very long. Mark Dacascos was very good but the judges notoriously hate Lacey so that'll be an uphill battle for them. And Michael Irvin was ok, but as Carrie Ann pointed out, the choreography was very weak so that impacted his performance.

I'm excited for the ladies tonight. I've heard that Derek & Joanna are pretty good. I think maybe he's just a brilliant teacher cause he & his partners always make good showings. I've also heard that Macy Gray is totally over this, not having any fun and can't wait to get voted off. That makes me sad for her partner, Jonathon. I'm excited to see Kelly Osbourne & I love Louis Van Amstel. Apparently no one over 40 has ever won and Kathy Ireland wants to be the first to change that, so it sounds like she's working hard. And I love Natalie Coughlin so I hope she's fantastic.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I agree with you on the dancers last night Caroline, and I think they were a little rough on Ashley Hamilton. He seemed nice enough and also to have overcome some adversity. I do remember George Hamilton did absolutely nothing in his season. Edyta danced around him completely while he smiled and looked charming, which I guess is entertaining enough for some. I thought Ashley tried harder than that.

I hope your right about Derek's partner Joanna, although I think he will need votes for him since she probably doesn't have a big fan base either. Tonight should be good.

  60. Hi All --

Rochelle, you can share Donny with me if you want. MArgo can add you. I was on a conference call last night through much of it, but I caught several dances, though I had to have it on mute! One good thing about working from home. I have many more comments to read here....

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hi Margo, I am wondering if you got my request for the Amazing Race. I cant find the list so I have posted on many sites. Thank You Karen in Ca

    ReplyDelete
  62. Yes Karen in CA you are included. I'll be doing match-ups tomorrow and I will post a new list then.

    Margo

    ReplyDelete
  63. That was Smokey Robinson sitting next to Marie Osmond last night.

Thought Tom DeLay was terrible last night and hope we don't have to endure him much longer. Aaron's scores were a bit high and Ashley's too low. Donny deserved better tha he got too.

I've also heard that Macy Gray wishes she'd never signed on and has been quite the diva so far behind the scenes. She seemed pretty po'd that she didn't get Maks for a partner. Noticed that she only seemed to smile when the cameras were directly on her. Heard that she's not dedicating much time to rehearsal either. Why'd she bother to sign up?

    ReplyDelete
  64. looking forward to the new season. Cool, thak you Jackie.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I am sure this season will be a blast.

  70. Apparently I'm watching NCIS at 7 so I'll check in later.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I'm taping NCIS. Anyone else here?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Okay, gals, stop drooling. Maks danced. It's a wonder Debi didn't pop the "girls" out during the shimmy.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Here. Debi was a little stiff as well as out of time, but I'm hoping they stick around. More Maks is always welcome. :)

    ReplyDelete
  74. It's the girls tonight.....go Kelly!!
Last night I thought Aaron Carter, Mark Descosas, and Donny did well. Louie Vito is a cutie....he may become the home audience fav. For some reason I expected Ashley Hamilton to do better. I love the opening number...The Boys are Back in Town. I wonder if they will do Girls Just Want to Have Fun tonight? Lots of celebs in the audience last night.
Enjoy the show you on the EC.....I have a few more hours and then have to tape Biggest Loser and NCIS!!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Oh, my person is a witch! LOLOLOL Melissa and Mark looked good to me. She is very pretty and graceful too.

What was the top score last night.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I like the Ballas family...

I was very surprised Macy Gray signed up. She probably wants to boost her personal star but it seems opposed to her personal groove. She seems more --slightly stoned and groovy lounge conversation to me. Have lots of her music though.

I have always liked Debbie Mazar. Remember when she came on the scene as Madonna's pal (and a make up artist?) Has that 50's look.

Lacie's abs are even MORE defined this year. What happened? Truly, she was always a dancer so was it just a dietarty change or lipo? She looks fabulous in any case, MORE than fabulous, and I love her choreography. Loved many of the things she and Lance did.

    ReplyDelete
  77. WOW! Mia blew me away! Beautiful couple.

Lynn needs a laxative! Go, Bruno.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I am glad that Bruno and Carrie Ann graded a little higher to offset Lynns poor score.

    ReplyDelete
  79. That was just okay, but I have to say it...

I miss Melissa and Tony's salsa from last season. :)

    ReplyDelete
  80. Kathy doesn't have much bounce. I am afraid that the judges were right pretty correct with the scores.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Becky are you talking about LEN? or is there a guest judge LYNN?

    ReplyDelete
  82. I thought Natalie was cute with that dance. Its only the first week, Len. For Pete's sake, take it easy on them.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I meant Len. I am reading email, watching TV and trying to post. I thought the last dance was good. As I said earlier LEN needs laxative!

Will anyone watch The Good Wife? First show is tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Wow, insert mouth with foot about the supermodels have had a checkered path there.. I could tell that Kathy's ire was getting up (no pun intended) about it. She did a beautiful job of saying FU to our endearingly blundering interviewer Maria.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Macy is not long for this competition. Her partner has his hands full. It has to be really hard to do this while touring!!! That's insane to do this show while in the midst of something like that but that is also when a celeb has something to sell.

But it's for her Mama! That's nice....

And it helps to have something fab like Aretha to do this dance to.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Smart of the judges to say such nice stuff to Macy, and build her up. Maybe it will help motivate her. She looks gorg, doesn't she?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Derek sees her and is like WOAH, forget Shannon! Did you see that?

    ReplyDelete
  88. I think she will go soon.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Now that was a SALSA!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  90. OK, for people who have NOT been fans of this woman, that sure was great. Looks like she will be staying around for awhile. Is it Joanna Krupa? I've never heard of her or seen her before.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I think we have the winners ready to dance. Joanna and Derek are good. Is he that great a teacher or do they always give him the better partners? Wonder what he could have done with Macy.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Becky-- exactly what I was saying to my husband.

This is superficial but does it look to you like Joanna had her upper lip injected, yes?

    ReplyDelete
  93. Sydney, her ABC bio says that she was the PETA spokesperson in the ... 'I'd rather go naked than wear fur' campaign. I barely remember it, but she is gorgeous.

Derek always gets a good dancer, but he is also a great teacher/coach. They're going to be fun to watch this season.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Wow, Kelly did really well... and her mother is crying! I LOVE OZZY! What can I say? SHAROOOOOOON!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Kelly is adorable, and love seeing the Ozzie in the audience. He was beaming at his daughter. YAY!

    ReplyDelete
  96. I know Monty! Now I'm all verklempt too.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I didn't notice. Kelly comes from a very strange family. Her father looks like a druggie.

Louis does make her look like a lady. I did notice her feet lifted off the floor. Nana, I know you didn't or don't expect her to last long, but if she keeps up that quality of dancing she will be around for a while.

Let's see how they score them. Good scores.

OT I like Samatha's hair cut.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I may just turn my brother into a DWTS fan, lol. He's never missed an OZ Fest. That was fun!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Becky, he definitely was/is/was...

    He's such a hoot though!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Poor Macy. The judges were brutal to her tonight.

No surprises with the placement in this group.

I have to go vote, then get off the computer.

    See you guys tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Good show tonight! See everyone tomorrow night. :)

    ReplyDelete
  102. Well I am going to leave a comment even though it is over for the night. Joanna and Derek are the ones I have in the pool and I am happy with that. They looked good tonight. I din't get to see alll the dances tonight. Kids, homework, phone calls, ect. I guess it would be a little selfish to expect 2 straight hours of no distractions. I like Donnie and Aaron from last night as well. Macy Gray has got to go. She stuck out big time to me. I think quite a few of the guys will go rather quickly. I think the girls pook looks stronger at this time.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Even tho I have Macy in the pool... please... let her go tomorrow. Tell me she's worse than some of the guys, cause she really is bad. Jonathan can come back and dance in some special numbers and still make some money. SHE MUST GO!

    ReplyDelete
  104. I agree Becky, the judges could not have passed Macy over more obviously as there was nothing legit they could say... It had to hurt, though she looked beautiful. It's not her bag, and I have no idea why she signed up except that her momma wanted her to.

I'm sure she will be first to go, unless her fans keep her in.

And Kelly's father is someone who completely endeared himself to many when they had one of the first family reality shows -- before the Kardashians, before the Carters, Before the Gene Simmons show...

He's a tenderheart who loves his babies and would be lost without his wife Sharon, who rules the roost and was his manager for decades. And he putters around the house, paying lots of attention to their little doggies and goes for tea every afternoon, come hell or high water.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Overall I think the girls were better than the guys last night. Pleasantly surprised with Joanna Krupa. I hope she stays likeable to the audience cuz when my pool pick is gone, possibly tomorrow, (Chuck Liddell) I will be rootin with Tessa for Derek. And a few others. Natalie Coughlin was good tonight, and surprisingly Kelly Osbourn, too. I also think Melissa Joan Hart was better than the judges thought, and she, like most of the stars, are eager to be there and work. Except for Macy Gray, who's an excellent singer, but Jonathon looked as though he was holding her up much of the night. It should be interesting tomorrow; the obvious choices aren't always the first to go.

  106. Frickin Osborne made me tear up. heh

    ReplyDelete
  107. SI was a loooong time ago. I am over KI.

    ReplyDelete
  108. The show's almost over, but I'm here!!

Anxious to hear what everyone else thinks. So far I'm most impressed ~ and surprised by Kelly.

I've never really been a great fan of the Osborn family, but I've always been touched whenever I see how much they love and support each other.

    ReplyDelete
  109. LOVED KELLY!

    ReplyDelete
  110. I watched the DWTS this morning I recorded it and I was so pleasantly surprised I thought Kelly Osborne was great. Sharon her Mom was so touched she was crying in the audience.
The girl that was with Derek is very good I can't remember all of their names yet. Of the men I really enjoyed Aaron Carter.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I loved seeing Kelly Osborne do so well and it was no surprise seeing her supportive family in the audience. They are a close family and Ozzie and Sharon are crazy about their kids. No one can ever compare to them in the reality show world. They were totally themselves. Sharon did not walk around with full on make up and designer clothes. She was very real and that is what so many people loved about them. The Kardashians are another story...and its not a good one!!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Okay, I have my dancing shoes on.

Kelly does have the waltz down pat. She is very graceful.

My WV sounds like a Latin dance --

    ReplyDelete
  114. Anyone else here? Please don't leave me sitting here talking to myself.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Hey, Tessa! Glad you are here.

    I hope Michael stays.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Hi I'm here but I'm watching Castle that I recorded the other day.

So where is Jackie? She has not posted since Monday.

    Margo

    ReplyDelete
  117. Whew, Michael just squeaked by.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Hey, Margo! Our votes saved your guy!

Jackie must be taking a well deserved break.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Glad Michael got to stay for you.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Thanks for the votes! Micheal and I are most grateful.

  121. Lion King was one of my favorite Broadway shows, mostly because of the costumes. They were phenomenal. You really have to see them in person to be blown away.

What a nice tribute to Patrick.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Tessa, love your avatar!

    ReplyDelete
  123. I have tears.... miss Patrick....they did a great job.

    klm

    ReplyDelete
  124. I love Castle he is so cute.

    ReplyDelete
  125. That tribute to Patrick was beautifully done. I also loved the Lion King number. I have always wanted to go to a Broadway musical.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Jonathan was very sweet about Macy. I still think the judges were brutal, above what they should have been to her.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Any Criminal Mind watchers?

    ReplyDelete
  128. Mom & I are watching now.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Worked late and missed the show. I'll have to watch it online later. So I'm guessing Macy got eliminated? Which one of the guys left, or did they just eliminate one?

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  130. So how come no one has posted the bottom two men and bottom two women couples and the two who got eliminated for us on the West Coast who have to work the night shift and can't watch???

Who went home??? I hope Macy and Tom DeLay!

    ReplyDelete
  131. Macy did go home but the guy was Ashley Hamilton.

    ReplyDelete
  132. OT The pictures of the flooding down south is incredible. I have been so involved in my own daily life that I missed what was going on down there til tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I LOVED the Lion King thing. That number gives me the chills every time I see it.

  134. I caught DWTS tonight, for the first time this season. It's not as much fun to watch when you have no idea who the contestants are, and I've never heard of a lot of those people!

Kelly's waltz was lovely and I loved the Lion King segment. It's an amazing show to see in person. Miley Cyrus, on the other hand, does nothing for me, but I admit I'm well beyond her target market.

  135. Tessa,
I live in Atlanta and it has been a difficult time. Even if you aren't flooded out, you have difficult time driving anywhere. It has affected everyone.

I feel so bad for the families that have been dislodged from homes. We have been lucky so far but it took my husband 4 hours to drive to work and that was just 12 miles.

But people have died! Oh my gosh! How sad.

  136. I would also like to know why Ashley Hamilton had been in a wheel chair for a year and half. I guess I missed that. Thanks.

  137. klm- I think they said something about a motorcycle accident; it did not garner him much sympathy though. I can't believe Edyta's fans didn't keep her in. She is always fun to watch. She's always on the edge of wardrobe malfunction because there's so little wardrobe there in the first place. Edyta looked heartbroken when they were eliminated. I kinda would have rather seen them stay than my pool pic Chuck and Anna:(

And for you, Sydney, I do agree. My wv is indlyp. It does appear that Joanna has had augmentation indlyp!

  138. was anybody else except myself
annoyed that they stretched it into 3 nights?
The regular season has started and there are so many things against it.
I also think it odd that Jackie has not posted, hope all is well

  139. Yes... thank you voters that you didn't vote for Macy or Ashley. They both needed to leave.

I also stayed up and watched Criminal Minds which I had taped. It was very busy and very good. Just love that show.

Then I watched SYTYCD. Anyone else watching this?

Yes Becky, I know you watch CM. What did you think?

  141. Meb, I love Criminal Minds. I thought it was a good show, but it always is.

Hey, Margo. Are we the only ones here?

    ReplyDelete
  142. Are the girls wearing less clothing this year? Last week I thought there might be some wardrobe malfunctions...LOL

    ReplyDelete
  143. Has Joanna had a bit of botox on the mouth? They are good. The faces Derek makes while he dance can be a bit much.

    Scores were low IMHO

    ReplyDelete
  144. CM just glad Hotch was ok. But wonder what they will spook us with this season!

    ReplyDelete
  145. I'm here but my daughter needs the computer for homework. Be back soon, I hope.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Hi All-- Derek indeed has broken up with Shannon -- they are 10 years apart and they are saying they were in different places in life, no surprise there...

He swore in US mag he will not get in another "showmance" again, but he was going on about his partner's eyes tonight, lol...

    ReplyDelete
  147. HAHA Sydney Derek is hot to trot for anything with booby's.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Natalie and Alec were very good. They got good scores too.

Deelee, I have to admit, the CM writers on the show are something else. How do they come up with the stuff they do.

I just love the rubber duckies. I had to change my avatar today. Three reality shows, three avtars.

It makes me want to plitt (LOLOLOL) -- my WV.

    ReplyDelete
  149. I am honoring Starry tonight as it is her 1st birthday!!! She told me she is one and do not think of using dog years. HAHA

Chuck is a big ??? for me, he seems so stiff. Why is it when I like a dance they hate it and vica versa?

    ReplyDelete
  150. I have respect for a guy like Chuck, totally out of his element but trying his heart out. I'm glad the judges made him smile tonight...

Hi Tessa, hope you can come back before the show is over, but if a child wants the 'puter, it could be see you tomorrow, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I had to "go walk the dog", so I missed the dance. It must have been good by what the judges are saying. Their scores didn't seem to reflect it.

And yes, more and more of the dancers are dressing with more skin and "parts" showing.

Sometimes I think they have made up their minds as to placement.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Hey, Sydney and Tessa. Hope the homework is finished soon.

Melissa and Mark were okay. Guess I better give them my votes.

Will see how Michael does. Hope he improves over last week. If not, I think he will be gone.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Scores a little too low for Derek and Joannah, and also for Mark B. and Melissa.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Becky-- um, who is Michael??

    ReplyDelete
  155. Delee, meant to say happy b-day to Starry!

Meb, are you here? Margo? Any lurkers?

    ReplyDelete
  156. Michael Irvin former football player

    ReplyDelete
  157. Quick step not so quick but they did a good job. He at least looked like he was having fun. I do enjoy seeing these big muscly men put them selves out there and do it, I applaud them.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Eek, every time Baz gives a comment I want to mute the TV. That's a pretty strong reaction, lol. How do you guys like him?

    ReplyDelete
  159. Maybe the judges figured that at the start of the season their scores were too high and by the end of the season HAD to give 10's as with improvement there was not nothing else to give.

    MI did good. Scores? 20

    ReplyDelete
  160. Anon (Kim) just now catching up on some of the posts. Atlanta did get hammered. I feel sorry for all those caught up in the bad weather.

Dan TM, too bad Delay didn't go home last week. He danced like he had a corn cob up his you know what.

    Michael and Anna were good.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Baz should stick to making movies!!! He is so out of his element in my mind. Was there no one else that has a dance background?

    ReplyDelete
  162. I thought Debbie Mazar wasn't bad last week.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Shocker...Luhrmann was a ballroom dancer as a child, and his mother taught ballroom dancing. So I guess he does have some background. He was born in 1962.

Ohhhhh Moulin Rouge love that movie!!!

    ReplyDelete
  164. OOH, it looked difficult and Debbie lost her footing just enough to make her look liek she was strained and concentrating for the rest of the dance. I could never do this, it's so difficult, but I don't think she will get good scores. I do hope they give her time to improve. That's the fun of the show, to see people improve.

I liked the Tango version of Roxanne...

  166. Maks is a hard teacher. LOL at Debie "smacking" her little brother Maks. Excellent dancing, though. Good scores! I wish they could win this season.

My WV is morimpod -- won't touch that one....except in my own mind.

    ReplyDelete
  167. I love Debi...have been a fan since Practice (?). 21

Max makes me droll with that beard. Yum Yum Yummy

    ReplyDelete
  168. Woah, I'm surprised... that little boy Louie did GOOOOD!

    ReplyDelete
  169. I loved Chelsea and Louie's dance. I don't care about the critique, it was full of energy.

    ReplyDelete
  170. OK my guy up, Louis, jive hmmm?

I liked it but the judges? Yes-- Maybe--Tremendous yippee and the scores are 6 7 6 BOOOOOOoooooo

The meatloaf came out ok...tried to break up LOL

    ReplyDelete
  171. Louie and Chelsea were good. He makes me smile when he dances. However, I did think that Chelsea's "girls" were gonna pop out.

    ReplyDelete
  172. 6, 7, 6
    6, 6, 7
    7, 6, 7
    7, 7, 6
Can we get another number in there somewhere?

    ReplyDelete
  173. OK, Karina is TOOOOOO tan in that dance clip from last week. What's up with that?

    ReplyDelete
  174. Good point Tessa=

and btw, the Carter family needs anger management classes BAD.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Glad Aaron cleaned up his act and hope he stays clean....

    ReplyDelete
  176. It's Kermit and Miss Piggy. Too funny. Len would have hated it!

I feel like they just read this blog. Aaron deserved it.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Aaron and Karina were absolutely adorable! I liked that he stood up to her when she pitched her hissy fit.

Okay, from the judges comments, they should get at least 8's. Let's see if the scores match up! Wonderful. I thought 9's, but I thought the way they comment and then score lower worried me.

    ReplyDelete
  181. Kelly messed up alot, I believe.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Kelly and Louis were good. I guess were are back down to 6's and 7's.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Poor Kelly..her nerves got the better of her. But I thought if was great from a viewers standpoint.

    ReplyDelete
  184. The Tango is SO hard. She started out great and just simply lost her footing. I am amazed how well she did, regardless!

    oh, and shut up Baz.

Yes, Delee, that is a shocker about him...

    ReplyDelete
  185. Did not care for Kathy's dance seemed too slow and dull. Her dress was better moving than her!

    ReplyDelete
  186. Kathy Ireland would be great if she would just losen up.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Sydney said... and btw, the Carter family needs anger management classes BAD.

    Explain, please.

    ReplyDelete
  188. Both Aaron and Nick have had problems. Aaron drugs and Nick misbehaving and law run ins both of em

    ReplyDelete
  190. someone tell me who this Mark guy is with Lacy? I keep thinking he's a young Sulu... George T. from Star Wars. He could be his son..
