Survivor Samoa - 10/08 Episode Blog Party Post

The show is about to begin here on the East Coast. As it airs, I'll update this post with any major happenings. However, the real action is in the comments section! Please feel free to join in with your thoughts while having fun with friends. Late tonight my show review will be posted on TV Squad.

Galu won reward -- chickens.

Foa Foa won immunity. Yikes!

Yasmin was voted out.

  1. Hi Jackie, hope you're feeling much better.

    Woohoo, here we go!

    ReplyDelete
  2. How can Russell still have that gut after three weeks?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Laura from Galu is the one that reminds me of Corinne. Something about her. hmm

    ReplyDelete
  4. The girls get better & better looking...

    ReplyDelete
  5. I think Shambo makes it to the merge. They're setting this up with the edit.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I have no idea who to root for, except Russell (don't hit me!)

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh Shambo, you should not have said they loved you over there. I know it soothes the hurt in the moment, but if they think you'll have a lot of votes in the end it can put a target on your back.

    ReplyDelete
  8. They are already showing Jaison being a whinner. I had high hopes for him but now I wish he'd be gone. Should of never said anything about quitting. Even if he didn't mean it he thought it. He is a poor sport. Too many people want to be on here for that attitude.

  9. Oh, CBS previews show two challenges for tonight. FINALLY!!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Hey, I'm here! Jackie how are you feeling? You are a real trooper to continue to have the party at your house even when you are sick.

Tell Vincent AKA Mr. V. that we will try to keep our scheming and screaming down so we don't disturb his rest.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think that was a voice over from her confessional, Sydney. She didn't say it at the camp.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Finally, they are showing something of the other tribe.

    ReplyDelete
  13. OMG... I forgot this was Thursday! Yaaay, so glad I stopped by to see what was happening at Jackie's place!

    ReplyDelete
  14. ah, FAR now Russell... I am rooting for the purple guys...

    ReplyDelete
  15. Russell looks like Ernest Borgnine and Jude Law had a baby

    ReplyDelete
  16. NO!!!! Yellow is close. One more purple ball...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sounds like it's not going to happen for purple....

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh I thought it was purple that keeps losing. I meant to root for the yellow team even though Russell is on it, lol.

I got mixed up thinking Shambo was not back with her team yet. DOH! I need to take me vitiminz...

    ReplyDelete
  19. Petals, I barked a laugh out loud at the Ernest Borgnine comment.

And what happened to the picuture you apparently got of MY future second husband? (not that I want the current one to go anywhere, just sayin....)

ME on both counts in the last 8 weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  22. God, there's a lot of trees to reach into over there.

    ReplyDelete
  23. You are Effing kidding me!! How easy was it for both folks to find two idols with little to go on but TREES, and those are all around.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Syd - Mr Draper is right here, waiting until after Halloween. Gotta be seasonal , after all.

    ReplyDelete
  25. GOod plan. For ONCE someone remembers that getting cocky is a way to get kicked out. YAY.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Dave's funny. I'm glad we're finally meeting GALU!

    ReplyDelete
  29. OK, rain on the stoopid comfort items. Brightly colored decorative pillows instead of a tarp. Those girls are crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  30. *Raises hand* I've felt like crap off and on for weeks now. I think a lot of it is stress and emotion related. I stayed home today and rested and I already feel better. So glad the weekend is around the corner.

    ReplyDelete
  31. How DOES she keep her hair so cute? is it fake?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Laurie - hope you are feeling better soon.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Clotheslined by the clothesline. Funny!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wow, I didn't KNOW a chicken could get up in a tree. But then again, I've seen them on a fence.... but a tree, and higher up....

    ReplyDelete
  35. One egg for how many people? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yes, the weekend helps. unless you're like me and has volunteer commitments up the wazoo. I am trying to figure out a way to cut down on something... I have never done well convincing myself of my limits.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Woops --that last one was in response to Laurie.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Thanks Petals. I will feel better soon, I'm sure. I like your pumpkin!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Looks liek my two boys in the TAR pool lose their passports next ep...

    ReplyDelete
  40. Sydney and Laurie sorry you are sick too. I had a wonderful ME day. The dentist office took me to lunch at a wonderful deli. Tommy suggested pizza for supper. Hey, anytime I don't have to cook is a good day.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Okay, here's Shambo's out. Yasmine is not well liked at GALU. Go figure!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Becky, out to lunch and then pizza for dinner? That's my kind of day!
Are you getting any of that big rain hitting so much of the mid-America?

    ReplyDelete
  43. What? Yasmin isn't well liked? Gosh, go figure. We haven't seen much of her but what we did see wasn't good, was it? She's a big of a princess.

    ReplyDelete
  44. COme on Foa Foa. Bring one home. Please!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Laurie - I was just thinking how CUTE your ghost is!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Our weather is okay for now..but might get rough later...but north of us is having big storms and that means no Survivor. You all will have to keep me posted on what goes on.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Russle the what? He reminded me of those little Troll dolls I had as a kid, scurrying across there. I guess little man, lower center of gravity?

SIgh, don't want purple to win again.

    ReplyDelete
  48. WOW Fao Fao wonder who will leave on Galu hope not Shambo

    ReplyDelete
  49. Poor Shambo is a legend in her own mind sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm not for either team at the moment, but I just hate the Survivors when one team keeps winning it all.

It's Shambo tonight or the woman who wanted the coconut milk or...? Place yer bets folks!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Where is JoyN tongiht? Ms. Joy are you here?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Jackie -- can you shout out to tell us if you are finally on the mend?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yasmine and Monica both on the chopping block. I say Yasmine goes. Any other guesses?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hey Anyone watching Cougartown? An unexpected hoot.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Actually, if Galu gets good and wet, Russell could go. Should have taken the Function over the Comfort.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hope you're right Monty.

    ReplyDelete
  57. What'd I miss that Monica did so badly?

    ReplyDelete
  58. This avatar is for you...Sydney!!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Those are THEM! Haven't thought of those for years but I had them and they were a presence as much as Barbies were.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Who will it be??? Monica or Yasmine?

    ReplyDelete
  61. oH, don't say I'm the leader andpeople have to listen to me. No no no that's not smart.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Well, I bet Shambo's happy tonight. Target's off her back.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I forgot what it looked like to have an entire tribe at tribal council. A lot of people there, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hard to say who Monty. Really seems 50/50.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Sorry I'm late - Mom and I went out for dinner. I had Lobster bisque and crab cakes (baked) yummy.

    Margo

    ReplyDelete
  66. looks like yaz? but she is stronger in comps. What's more important, day to day help at camp or help in comps? I think the latter.... mush cas she's not making any friends with her argumentative style.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Oh hush Margo sounds very good though.

    Yaz goes poof

    ReplyDelete
  68. Can't say that I blame them, but the weakest challenge player should have been voted off. They were winning everything up until tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  69. She's like -- I'm gonna go back and get myself a shower and some food and sleep on a nice cot! Can't wait to see her interview at the end to see how close it is.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Hey Margo and Delee, good to see you!

Sounds like my pool princess Yasmin may be out.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Ah Laurie SS How ru feeling?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Still storming, they announced Survivor will rerun at 12:37 am (odd time) I don't know if theyw ill pick up where they interrupted or begin again.

I think this avatar looks a little like Russ.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Uh oh, looks like Liz may be Russell's next victim. And the rain comes. How well with Galu like their comfy pillows and towels when that happens?

    ReplyDelete
  74. RUSSELL voted for Yasmin? It was Shambo and Yasmine voting for Monica. What's up with that?

And to those who asked ... a residual cough and fatigue, but human again!

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'm here, Syd. I've got an awful cold which I caught from my hubby. Feel like crap.

Not sorry to see the princess go.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Sizzie, that's a great avatar!
Delee, I'm feeling better tonight. Even managed to take the dog for a short walk. She's happy.

So now I have no pool person in Survivor, too. I'm not so lucky with the pool people this year! Oh well. I always knew she wouldn't last long.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Glad to hear you're on the mend, Jackie, and sorry to all the others who have the cold/germ bug. I've been washing my hands double time these days. A lot of H1N1 going around our local ER. Yikes!

    See everyone Sunday for TAR.

I miss the 3 days a week of BB. :(

    ReplyDelete
  78. As lazy as Yaz was, she was much better at challenges than Monica. They should have gone with strength first and built the lead up on members over the other tribe.

I am just glad that Shambo was safe this week. After she let the chicken out I was afraid that when they lost that she would be gone.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Man that took forever - I now have a pumpkin. Mine circa 2003

    Margo

    ReplyDelete
  80. My hubby was sick this last week too Joy.

MY doc said it doesn't hurt to go around and wipe off all the doorknobs, light switches, kitchen/fridge/appliance handles, the phones and all the remotes with alcohol on a cloth. I did it for the heck of it and felt a little better, lol. And I washed the sheets after the first few days of him being sick, again, something the doc said would help me not get sick again. I've been washing my hands a ton, but that's even moreso now because I'm handling the baby orphaned squirrels several times a day. Does anyone drink that powered stuff EMERGEN-C? Fabulous stuff when you are trying not to come down with something, or to help you be stronger if you do have it.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Thanks Jackie - I only saw Yaz's vote for Monica and missed who the others were.

Glad to hear you are feeling on the mend.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Well, I missed the party as usual. Just got thru watching on tivo and, yeah, they finally showed the purple tribe. I don't like the purple tribe. LAZY! Except for Shambo. Yes, she lost a chicken, but from what they showed, I'll bet she was the only one to get up and take care of the chickens. Except for the one guy, no one even got up off their cans to try to help catch the chicken. Guess they were too tired from the yoga. I'll keep my boy Evil Russell. At least he is up & moving & trying to play the game. Very disappointed in Jaison's attitude. Had higher hopes for him. I like Mick the doctor. Well, I don't know anything about him, but he's good to look at!

Thanks, Jackie. Hope you feel better soon. My hubby & I had a bug the end of August & still have the residual cough. Hope yours leaves sooner.

    ReplyDelete
  83. well giving credit where credit is due foa foa russell really scampered across that rope line.
had they not shown him being a complete jerk in the first episode we would all be rooting for him to win.
I must say he is playing some good game!

    ReplyDelete
  84. It was a lot more than the first episode that showed Russell H. being a complete jerk. He may be playing the game but a jerk is a jerk is a jerk. And a gross one at that. Just can't get those skidmarked undies of his out of my head. Eeew!

Shambo is showing a little too much self-confidence at times. That doesn't always fare well in this game.

Russell S. didn't seem happy about Yasmine leaving. I get that she was a better competitor but her attitude was getting on people's nerves. Even in her goodbye speech, she was so full of herself.

It was great to see Foa Foa win an immunity challenge. I dislike the continuous one-sided tribsl wins too. Gets too predictable and boring.

Hope Mick goes far. I agree, he's a VERY attractive young man!

    ReplyDelete
  85. I think Galu's downfall will be Russell their supposed leader. He made a poor decision on who to sit out...why sit out Dave the tallest guy on the team and put Monica, the weakest girl in the challenge? And as far as we can tell, this is the only challenge that Monica hasn't done well at...why should she only get 1 strike before she's out? Yasmine didn't do anything around the tribe on a regular basis...but Shambo didn't have a problem with that. How is that better than doing yoga? And Shambo's already damaged two of the food sources by breaking the snorkel and losing a chicken (Russell being the one who put her in charge of that).

You could really make an argument for why any of Yasmin, Shambo or Monica should have gone...but I don't think losing any specific one of them would detriment their tribe too much.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I'm also glad that once I finally got to see my pool pick, Dave, on the show, that he contributed to his team in a huge way. I love his attitude as well, that he celebrated for his confessional, but kept his composure when dealing with his team. He looks good until the merge unless something awful happens.

And Galu should really consider making Erik their leader instead. He's got a good head on his shoulders, the competitive spark to fight in this game, and from what I can tell, pretty decent people skills. I think he'd get his team in tip-top shape and make them a force to be reckoned with.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Just read Jeff Probst's blog about last night's episode over on Popwatch. He answers some questions commenters here have been asking.

He also mentions why he wasn't at the immunity comp last night and asks what we fans think about doing it that way again.

Sounds like he's not quite as enthralled with Russell H's gameplay anymore.

He has some very interesting opinions about the tribes too.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I know that Russell is playing the game, but as Joy said, a jerk is a jerk is a jerk. He critized Jaison for playing an "emotional" game, voting out people because he didn't agree with them, yet he has done the very same thing, eliminating two very good players. How is that different, except that now he is after Jaison, another strong player.

I had to change my avatar. I thought using a roach would put the whammy on Russell, but it hasn't.

BTW my DH worked and retired from a refinery. He said that the "oil tanker truck business" that Russell ownes is probably a sump truck that cleans up oil spills at a refinery. About even with a septic truck.

    ReplyDelete
  89. no i don't like russell he is seemingly a huge jerk
but he did seek out the idol and find it
he did get rid of his own threats
he kept his mouth shut when he had too
    he solidified things with natalie
he should not have told any one he had the idol
and he does decent at comps
and seems to keep his mouth shut at tribal
so like him or not he is playing a good game
    i prefer mick too.
    or eric
shambo can go, she is just a liablility.
and some of the others who have no screen time, we just got to meet dave, lol
the other russell has made some bad decisions that will be his demise i think

    ReplyDelete
  90. I'm covering my tv screen with my remote whenever Russell's gross belly comes into view-- it seems to sum up everything I can't stand about him. Put on a shirt, dude.

So I guess, all in all, I'm now missing about a third of each episode.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Finally got to watch the episode.

Did I miss something or did they not send a FF member to Galu with a clue and to watch tribal council? What gives?

    ReplyDelete
  92. Alb Glinka- hahaha. To Laura reminding someone of Corrine, she looks like her (more so after weeks in the jungle). Beyond that, there is no similarity. Jaison is obviously very intelligent and principled, perhaps too much so to succeed in Survivor, but I like him :)
