Survivor Samoa Blog Party Post - 10/22/09

The show is about to begin here on the East Coast. As it airs, I'll update this post with any major happenings. However, the real action is in the comments section! Please feel free to join in with your thoughts while having fun with friends. Late tonight my show review will be posted on TV Squad.

"Good" Russell passed out during reward as shown in the promos. To Commercial.

Jeff decided no one wins reward, both tribes to TC, both will vote someone out. Russ still with medics.
"Good" Russell is out -- dangerously low blood pressure, passed out twice.

At Tribal, Jeff announced no one would be going home from either tribe.

  2. I am so used to fast forwarding recorded or paused shows, I grabbed the remote to FF through the intro.

    Hey Delee, Jackie and Vincent!!

  3. They are really focusing on Russell before he gets hurt, aren't they?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Yes, since they/ve been promo-ing the heck out of it.

Meanwhile, I'm actually understanding EVIL Russell. He's nasty, but he makes some points, works hard, and gives all at challenges.

  5. Here it comes...

    Wait for it....

  6. Wow two are going tonight

  7. From the promo's I thought he got hit in the face with the table...but now we know what happened...this is a first

  8. late but I've been watching. That was scary, Delee. He was pretty lifeless there.

  9. Maybe his blood pressure is zooming up.

  10. I think they fast forwarded the promo so it looked like he konked his head instead of just laying it on the table.

  12. Fresh candy corn for everyone. :)

  13. What no PIZZA that stinks all should get it...

  14. So two go tonight. Who for Foa Foa? I say Russell (for Galu) if he makes it to tribal. If not, then Monica????

  15. OMG this is terrible he just went out again

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh man, that made me tear up. Bless his heart!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Russell is really taking this hard. For a second I thought he died with his eyes open like that.

  18. That sucks. What a way to go out! I felt really bad when he mentioned how his family was depending on him. After all that rain and fifteen days in, it has to hurt.

Sorry you had to go this way, Russell S.

  19. Jeff looked really worried too.

  20. Me too JoyN amazed they showed that but glad they did as we would have been sitting on the edge of our chair wondering how he was. Sad he has to go! At least Shambo will be safe...

    ReplyDelete
  21. And she will flip, Laura. They shouldn't have sent her twice.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Something that can cause low blood p can be low body temp...hope that is what it was...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Interesting. Looks like it will be Monica for Galu. Go SHAMBO!

  24. Dave looks like a pirate HAHA

  25. Shocked no one is going home from tribal

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well, Crap! I wanted to see who Galu would have voted out.

    ReplyDelete
  27. That was quite nasty out of Erik. Foa Foa didn't get Russell S out. I'd go after Erik first thing if I were Foa Foa. Bad move Erik!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Wonder who they'll pick as a new leader?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'd say Erik for the new Galu leader.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Probably John or Brett.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oh great! Russell H makes a final two with Laura now, lol.

  32. Getting home from work late as usual, but enjoyed all of your comments and can't wait until the show is on here on the left coast!

I hope you can see my avitar - just had to use it after seeing Monte's!!

  33. Guess he ran out of final two deals with his own tribe so he's starting with the Galu tribe members now. He's going to make that deal with everyone.

  34. Jackie, Russell did make sense tonight, I agree, and he said something nice about the other Russell at TC.

I was hoping someone would get the pizza.

My big question about next week is how does Russ get to talk to the other tribe?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Jackie, I was having a similar bad Russell experience. It was like, he's not so bad and I sorta of agree with what he just said.

Makes me wonder if this is a kind(albeit a very mild form) of Stockholm Syndrome experience, where we start agreeing and identifying with our captures.

  36. Hi everyone! The show is about to start here on the west coast, but I won't be seeing it until tomorrow or later. I'm sorry to read Good Russell had to leave. It does sound like a very scary time for everyone. I wonder if we will get a follow-up on him later. I hope so!

  37. still watching the angels and yankees game out here...cant wait to watch the show

    sorry about Russell......

Since he's doing a final two with a Galu tribe member, they've either merged or she was sent to
Foa Foa like Shambo has been previously.

I could not believe how Russell S. kept passing out. That was scary. And I really felt bad for him too, especially when he started to cry. He certainly didn't have to be ashamed of going out that way. He was a solid competitor and they'll miss him for that reason.

  40. OMG my pool gal Laura from Galu has gone to the dark side with evil Russell! I have noticed, too, ChicMc, that the rhetoric about Russell has been more positive. Even his name has gone from evil to bad to now just mean.

Are we starting to believe his PR about himself, that he is the mastermind? It appears, though, that he is often jumping on the band wagon after something happens and telling us it was all his doing.

Good Russell, whose decision making and leadership have recenlty been questioned, is now suddenly revered as practically a saint by the tribe, with Erik invoking his name in a battle cry. I'm very disheartened to see him go out this way; he certainly left his mark on Galu.

  41. Just wanted to see my revised logo. Loved Laurie's so wanted one 'almost' just like hers. I know, I'm a copy cat ..uh copy ghost.

  42. Funny about how our perception of the only Russell has changed. I think we are seeing the power of editing. Notice how clean cut he looks since Survivor gave him the preppy shorts to wear? He speaks calmly and hasn't burned any socks. They are leading us somewhere.....but I am not sure where. : 0

  43. Haha sizzie you just proved your own point. Russell just went from evil to bad to mean to 'only' Russell. By next week he'll be angelic Russell 0:)

  44. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Russell H's evil side. I'm reserving my same judgment of him for now and still hoping to see him leave soon. Hate that they're picking off the women one by one.

  45. Some good reality news from TV Squad.

Yul Kwon, the winner of (2006) Survivor/Cook Islands, has been named the new Deputy Chief of the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau for the Federal Communications Commission.

Good things happen to good people.

Just thought this would be nice to hear after the Adam J, Heenes and Gosselin news lately.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Wow Joy n... that's great news. And you're right, nice to see someone who came out a winner and now did it again. During the 2007-2008 U.S. presidential campaign, he supported then-Senator Barack Obama and campaigned for him as a surrogate in the Asian American community.

Again, nice to hear something positive.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Good for Yul, I really liked him.
He was level-headed, kind, smart, and to top it off, attractive.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Nice to hear that about Yul Kwon. Cook Islands made me a die hard Survivor fan. I watched casually before then, but CI was the first season I watched from start to finish. I haven't missed an episode since. Yul used the idol perfectly. And who could forget Ozzy, yum?

I read a tweet from Laura (Galu) over on Jokers. She said Shambo was going to be voted off that night. I'm not so sure of that.

    SueGee, great avi... :)
