Galu won immunity and reward. Good Russell had a choice between comfort or functio. He chose comfort for the girls. He chose Shambo to go to Foa Foa.

The Immunity Idol that Russ has is interesting to me. I know that TC is much longer than what we see, so maybe Jeff asked for it and since it wasn't part of what happened last night it didn't make the air show. But, I don't think he would have because he hasn't announced officially (that I know of...could have missed it) that there is/are II. I wonder if the II Russ found has the other tribe's name on it anywhere? What if it can only be played by one of the other tribe members? Probably not. I loved the shot of Shambo lying half in the tree 'looking for firewood'. Again, no one on that tribe seemed to think it odd that someone was climbing into that tree.

To ANON 9:07... Jaison said that he was going to tell some of the others that he was going to quit, but he had no intention of doing so. Why is what he did so different from all the lies and deceit that Russell has shown?

Jaison threatened to quit, but that was just playing the game to confuse the person he told. He later told "us" that he wouldn't quit. Just trying to cause confusion on where he stood. I like him.

sizzie....I too am curious about the idol issue. Since no one from Foa Foa has been to the Galu camp, it has not been "officially" announced to the Foa Foa tribe (via scroll) that there is a "Foa Foa" idol in Galu's camp. Therefore no one from Foa Foa has had an opportunity to get "their" idol therefore Jeff does not ask if anyone would like to use the idol at TC. I REALLY hope that it turns out that Bad Russell can't use the one he found because it is Galu's idol and I hope that happens when he pulls it out to use it to save his butt at TC and he goes home because of it. In all fairness, I think that they should put another idol in the Foa Foa camp for Galu to find since Russell has theirs (and maybe they have and we just don't know it yet). May not matter anyway because at the rate they are going, Galu may not ever get a chance to visit Foa Foa!! And I guess this would also bring up the question, what if they have a tribe member swap and bad Russell goes to the Galu tribe. Would the idol that is (assumed) no good to him now, be validated by the fact that he is now in the Galu tribe?? Too many questions surrounding the idols at this stage.
ReplyDeleteI really hate the Russell show. IMO, it does not make for "good TV" and this is the only season where the thought of not even watching because of a cast member has crossed my mind (well....I take that back. Last season with Coach made me think that too).
And I hate the fact that they bill Russell as an "oil company owner". He owns a trucking company with tanker trucks!!

ReplyDeleteI really appreciate KK in AL's last comment because I've been feeling the same thing. I love Survivor, but watching a sociopath at work is not my idea of fun, and I also am completely unsurprised that he does not own an "oil company". The confusion surrounding the idols also is frustrating, though I have to give Russell credit for finding it, then again, lots of sociopaths are smart or at least have street smarts.

Even though he owns a trucking company, could be that the name of his company is "blah-blah" oil company therefore the "oil company owner" title is correct, but I agree that it is misleading. And I agree that the idol thing is confusing. KK in AL brought up some good points. Wonder if production is just as confused as we are about what to do. I wouldn't think thay planned on someone finding the idol in their own camp, but one would hope that they had a plan for any circumstance. As much as I despise the guy, I will reluctantly give him kudos for being proactive and finding it too.....Fred
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I'm right or wrong, but I watched the preview show for Survivor and Jeff announced that there would be an II at each camp for the other team. So, the Foa Foa II is located on Galu, as Galu is located on Foa Foa. I have a feeling that Russell's will not work for him because it's for the other team. But, like I said, I don't know if I'm right or not!
