Yikes, the show is actually starting on time here tonight. I might just faint.
As it airs here on the East Coast, I'll update any major happenings in this entry. However, the real fun (and most of the information) will be in the comments. Everyone is welcome to join in. My actual show review will be posted over on TV Squad sometime late tonight.
Pit Stop
1. Sam ans Dan -- won a sand buggy
2. Megan and Cheyne
3. Flight Time and Big Easy
4. Gary and Matt
5. Brian and Ericka - incurred a 30 minute penalty for not riding bikes to detour, made it okay.
6. Phil goes to poker gals who are ready to give up on the detour.
And then it ends? Hmm ... they seem to still be in it, Phil didn't tell them they were gone.
I'm in shock too. On time! Yes!
ReplyDeleteWhoah! Maybe it has something to do with the time change.
ReplyDeleteHi Jackie and joyn!
I've waited all week to watch the Globetrotters Dance.
ReplyDeleteHey Jackie and Joyn!
And Laurie! :)
ReplyDeleteErica's off to a bad edit tonight. That would get on my nerves having my partner harp on me.
ReplyDeleteHey, everyone! The couple working together are smart. They better have good legs to having to climb all those stairs.
ReplyDeleteHey, Monty and Becky. I've been loving those Globetrotter ads with the dancing. Makes me laugh every time!
ReplyDeleteGood, Gary and Matt finished counting the bells first.
ReplyDeleteHey, Laurie, is there any cake left over from last week?
ReplyDeleteMe thinks it is a non elimination round!!!
ReplyDeleteErika is just too impatient. This will cost her and Brian time.
ReplyDeleteHi. ladies! Those stairs and the resounding bells would have done me in.
ReplyDeleteCostumes are great. Love the guys wearing the girls outfits!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't handle those stairs on my best day. If I didn't get it right on the first go, I may have to pull a Mika.
ReplyDeleteThey should have known it wasn't as simple as 'regular' golf. I would have picked dancing even with the herring.
ReplyDeleteThat poor girl having to climb those stairs again and again.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteBrian seems to be the more patient one of the two.
ReplyDeleteThe dancing should be a hoot!
ReplyDeleteI just had flashbacks of Danielle Donato on BB8.
ReplyDelete"It's sooo frustrating"
I think Erika is only counting the bells at the top. She needs to count the ones on the way up.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking Meghan and Cheyne will incur a penalty...The bells were a Road Block and said "Who". Only one could do it
ReplyDeleteHi Everyone :) I can't believe TAR started on time on the east coast... I am a west coastie lol coming in for sneak peek :)
ReplyDeleteThe time change stinks I hate it getting dark so early.
Did Phil say they won a sand bunny? What the heck is that?
ReplyDeleteThey forgot the bikes! Erika and Brian are having a bad day!
ReplyDeleteThe GT dacing was hysterical. They got down, baby!
ReplyDeleteSorry Becky, no cake. I do have some virtual hot chocolate for everyone!
ReplyDeleteBells and stairs, eh?
I think it was a sand buggy. Poor Ericka. First the stairs and bells, and now they are walking in those shoes... wait til the herring. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteSand BUGGY -- a dune buggy, I assume
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for Maria and Tiffany. Don't know that I'd have the strength (even 20 years ago) to hit it hard enough.
ReplyDeleteOoh, hot chocolate sounds good, Laurie. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOHHHH! Sand BUGGY! Guess I should have my hearing tested.
ReplyDeleteTiffany was so close a couple of times. Now they're back to golf.
ReplyDeleteSo close for the girls, but yet so far.
ReplyDeleteShe redeemed herself on the herring, but will they get penalized for borrowing bikes? Lets see here they are.
ReplyDelete30 minute penalty. They'll probably make that if the girls don't get this golf down.
Maria and Tiffany better stop hugging and start hurrying.
ReplyDeleteBrian and Ericka had a rough day.
ReplyDeletePoker girls are giving up. Can't say that I blame them. They're freezing. What if it was a NE?
ReplyDeleteToo late unless Lucy2 is right.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Never for one second thought they would quit!
The girls went down fighting. They should have picked a challange and stuck with it.
ReplyDeleteNight all. Back to bed for me.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't see Phil eliminate them, did we?
ReplyDeleteAre not Road Blocks only for one person to do? If so then Megan and Cheyne got away with a huge cheat!
ReplyDeleteThey looked exhausted. So did Erika and Brian.
ReplyDeleteMegan drives me nuts with her whining and crying.
ReplyDeleteAnon 8:59, Megan did that with one of the brothers not Cheyne.
ReplyDeleteAnon, they were all doing it together in pairs.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Jackie. Maybe that WILL mean something. Maybe this was a non-elim and we'll hear a never used rule for it.

ReplyDeleteI guess you must have meant the tower.
ReplyDeleteIt was Megan and Sam working together in the tower. Only one member of each team can do a roadblock.
ReplyDeleteHey I'm here finally - Mom and I went to IHOP for breakfast for dinner yummy.
ReplyDeleteDon't hate me cause I'm beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteMargo
Did you bring us any waffles?
ReplyDeleteHey Margo! Love breakfast for dinner. Did you have pancakes?
ReplyDeleteThey have taken pigs in a blanket off the menu so I had to make my own. I got sausage links, 2 pancakes, and hashbrowns. I had Hot chocolate w/whipped cream. It was delish. Mom had a spinach & mushroom omelet and shared my sausage and hash browns.

AHA! Love it, Margo!
ReplyDeleteBTW, Nana NW, hope you're emergency with your grandbaby turned out okay.
ReplyDeleteMargo, have you ever tried Godiva hot chocolate? A friend recently recommended it to me.
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast sounds delish!
Off Topic - relates to IHOP
ReplyDeleteMy son and three of his friends won second place in their high school Halloween costume contest dressed as breakfast.
One was the eggs, another bacon, the third was sausage and my son was the pancakes.
I am a chocolate anti snob and only like the cheap stuff. My fav is carnation w/mini marshmallows.

Hi
ReplyDeleteThis is off topic
I heard on TV that big bother was doing a 2 day show with yankee,
philly, eagle and giant fans.
Locking them together in 1 house.
Anyone know anything about it?

Too bad our poker gals just didn't bypass the bell ring, which was strictly for the boys...and go directly to the dance...and "bet" they would just get a time penalty for skipping a task.
ReplyDeletePhil definitely told the poker girls they were eliminated.
ReplyDeleteThat was a task the guys could do with one hand....but the poker gals just didn't have the upper body strength to get it to the top. They could have stood one in front of the other and used four hands...a big swing and hoped for the best. I think they were just cold and emotionally defeated. Too bad...they were fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteTiffany wrote on her blog that they didn't actually quit but took a 24 hour penalty for not completing the Detour. They were eliminated when Brian and Ericka checked in as it wasn't a NE.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been the same, I imagine, if they did the dance without ringing the bell. The show made it look like Ericka and Brian checked in before the girls took the time penalty.

Another goody to watch. The hay bale rolling from Season 6.

Do you guys know exactly how awesome Laurie & Margo are? I do...
ReplyDeleteYou can see for yourselves at my blog.
I didn't want to put the whole story here because there's just not enough room!
Monty, thanks for the update and the link the the hay bale rolling. I wasn't watching the show back then and I will enjoy seeing that.
ReplyDeleteOrkmommy, that was sweet of you to write the post about Margo and me. She's the sweet one, I'm the sarcastic one. Or wait, is the the other way around? Dang, I can't remember!
Tiffany and Maria are now saying (RTVW) that both tasks were unfair because they required brute strength. I agree that the bell thing probably was but Megan performed the golf comp and succeeded. If they had done that first and stuck with it, they may have done better. I totally believe it was frustration and exhaustion that did them in.

ReplyDeleteI thought that both of the choices needed some strength and Meghan had a strong player on her side to help cover the distance.
Also, Meghan complained the entire time about how "she can't do this".
So, I do agree with M and T and they weren't even my top five favs.
M and C are my pool team, I just wish that they would have more fun.
They are good at the tasks, but so boring.
joyn...if you come back on to read this, click on the picture again. I've identified the people in the picture by our blog names.
ReplyDeleteThat's my point, C. Megan was weak and complained but still accomplished the task. If Tiffany and Maria had only done the golf challenge, I think they could have completed it. They said they were cold and tired at their last attempt. If they had tried to do it first, and only that task, I think they would have succeeded. I just don't believe that TAR would have purposely slanted a comp in favor of the men.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Meb, I'm going to check that out now.
WOW! Meb, I'm amazed at the ID's of who is who. I'd seen pix of Sydney and Laurie (on their blogs) so I'd already recognized them, but for the rest of you, I'd made guesses and was wrong. Becky and rbennie look much younger than I thought they might be. No insult intended there, they sound as wise as the rest of us. LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I can't get the other pix you posted, but I went by the list and looked at the original pic that you put up. You all look like a lovely group of ladies and it sounds like you all had a wonderful time.
Thank you again, Meb. Now I can "see" some of who we're all talking to.
IT WAS ON TIME BECAUSE THERE WERE NO FOOTBALL GAMES BEFORE IT - THANK HEAVEN.
ReplyDeletejoyn..I'm going to redo the pix tonight when I get home. I did that here at work and I guess the transfer doesn't work from here. I see them when I log on, but then, I would...they're mine.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh...rbennie is gonna get you for that comment, cause she is young... was the baby of the group until Margo. I'm the oldest but of course I don't look it. Hee
Becky, however, is older than dirt... just not as old as I am.
(Oh my, I'm gonna suffer for that one! Wait for it!).
And...all you Project Runway people.. where are you... I'm over there talking to myself. I'm having fun, but I'm afraid people will start to wonder about my sanity... Come on over and talk... Jackie gave us a place to chat, remember! Sidebar!
