ReplyDeleteFoa Foa has stayed loyal. I know the first season Ozzie was on they were down to four members and went to the finals. But they got to four members when some jumped ship.

ReplyDeleteThe one thing about Shambo's good-bye speech that got to me is her admiration for Foa Foa's loyalty when she showed none for Galu. The only difference between Galu's and Foa Foa's distaste for her is that Galu said it to her face and Foa Foa said it behind her back. That poor woman has no clue at all.
I was glad that Brett won immunity again. Why hand it to that cocky SOB on a silver platter? If he's going to end up winning, let him keep working for it.
I now understand why Brett has gotten so little air time. They are down to the last six in camp and we finally hear what from Brett...Bible quotes! Then at the reward challenge both he and Natalie ask for God to hear their prayers to win the reward...always a bad move on reality shows. HE got you in the game, now win it on your own.

ReplyDeleteI think Shambo broke her loyalty to Galu when they voted Erik off. She said so at the next tribal and she's repeated it in her confessionals and the Ponderosa clips. Laura, Dave and other Galu's did that... she didn't. She didn't vote for Erik (visa Galu's downfall).
I don't blame Shambo for flipping... I would have too in the same circumstances. She was on the bottom of Galu, so where can you go but the bottom of Foa Foa. At least they treated her with some kindness. If you have to be bottom of the totem pole, why not choose the totem pole that a little more to the liking.
Her post eviction vids on CBS confirmns my thinking all along that Shambo was a strange but unique individual. I'm happy that Foa Foa took her under their wing, and I've changed my mind about the fan favorite. I'm voting for Shambo. I don't think she'll win it, but she has my votes all the way.

Does this not happen almost every year that one person wins several of the final immunity thus the best laid plans are knocked of track. Good for Brett for winning when he had to but I'm sorry to see Shambo go. I thought for sure she and Russell would be final 2. I can not believe that Foa Foa has remained intact since the split. It was 4 to 8 - now 4 to 1 WOW.

This is one of the few seasons where I actually like all the remaining players. While I'm pulling for my boy Russell to win, I like Mick & Brett (what's not to like? As was said earlier, "hubba hubba"), Natalie is very sweet, and Jaison seems like a nice guy. But Russell just looks like he's just having so much fun playing the game. He never complains -- just schemes!

I haven't had much time to be online this season, but I want to thank you, Jackie, for another great job. Just want to wish you all safe & happy holidays. Guess we'll all have a little down time while we wait for "our shows" to start up again.

ReplyDeleteIf Brett makes it to the finals Russell will not vote for him because he will resent Brett ousting him.
It won't be Natalie because he does not like women. Plus he already feels like she betrayed him by picking Brett first to be on her team.
It will not be Mick because he was one of the three on Natalie's team. He, in his Russell way, will feel that he betrayed him too.
That leaves Jaison to get Russell's vote.
Well, the two Ponderosa clips this week are not very flattering of Laura and Kelly, but I figured they would treat her bad. On the surface at least.

Monty, I agree that Galu shot themselves in the foot voting out Erik and I know that Shambo was kept in the dark about that decision, as she was kept in the dark about many of Foa Foa's after that. She flipped because she didn't like Laura or the rest of her tribe. She felt disrespected yet I saw disrespect on her part sometimes, too. She has no social skills whatsoever and it showed every week as SHE isolated herself more and more. She was just as quick to pick the others apart behind their backs, too. She can say they (Galu) are an "immoral group of people" but when she has a chance to watch this season at home, she will have to say the same about the FF tribe. She will see their only intention ever was to use her. She will hear the things they had to say about her, hiding food in her hair, her stinking breath, the fact that she never shut up, that her kissing them made their skin crawl and lots of other comments. So I guess she would then have to say that they are immoral, too. This woman just cannot see for the life of her that she created a lot of their distaste for her, herself.
ReplyDeleteFor her to say that she outplayed all of Galu is ridiculous. She flipped and Foa Foa needed a flipper. She only stayed as long as she did because Foa Foa (Russell) needed her votes as he stated. She'd have been long gone if they had not.
I thought Kelly was the main nasty girl towards Shambo at Ponderosa and just the fact that Laura knew Shambo hated her, but still gave up her room and shower says some good things about Laura.
I do agree that Shambo is a strange but unique individual. Just wish that she realized it. No one really showed any "loyalty" to her on that island yet she feels compelled to be loyal to them. If she thought her heart was broken before, wait until she watches the season. Russell will break her heart then.
This is, of course, IMHO.
As for Russell, if he makes it to the final 2, he deserves the win. I still dislike him a LOT, but he has played this game to the hilt. I just hope that Brett unnerves him at least a couple more times just to hopefully, knock at least a little of that cockiness out of his sails for a day or two. (IF that's possible.) He's come this far, partly, and only partly, because he's a great herder of sheep and he has been surrounded by sheep since day one. I just want him to have to work a little harder for it at the end.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone tell me WHY no one has voted Russell out so they can win the million dollars? Yes he had an idol, but he was so confident he wasn't using it each time. Why not have the ballz to blindside him? Maybe next TC? If they don't get him out, he WILL win, deservedly so.
ReplyDeleteAlso read in an RTVW interview that Shambo made that "Shambo Shack" apart from the others on day one. She separated herself from all of Galu right from the start.

Mike Trimming - He'll take his money, marry his fiance, and will most likely never be asked back on Survivor.
Natalie White - She will join Jenna Morasca, Danni Boatwright and Parvati Shallow as the fourth "hot woman" to win Survivor.
Jaoson Robinson - He will be regarded as the of the most well-spoken winners and will be remembered for keeping his integrity intact while playing a very dirty game.
Brett Clouser - As nice as he is, people will not remember Brett, Brett will not be asked back again and Brett probably won't care.
