Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains Blog Party Post 02/11/10

This post will be updated with the major events as they air here on the East Coast. Late tonight, my full review will be posted on TV Squad. But, until then, the real fun is in the comments area right here -- feel free to jump in with your thoughts on the show, everyone is welcome! Survivors ready?

Russell found the hidden idol in his camp. (Well, duh!) Villains win reward -- a chocolate feast at a water hole. James hurt his knee, out of the challenge. Don't know if he'll be pulled from the game.

James came back all splinted up. Nothing broken, but he can't put weight on it either. We'll see.

Villains win Immunity (4 out of 5 now).

Tom voted out. Sigh.

  3. greetings Dixie... Jackie, is it possible to turn off the WV for the show? Sorry to ask if it's a hassle.

Zoetawny, hope you check in tonight -- and see that last week's post has some comments for you at the end.

  5. From previews James seems to get hurt...if he has to leave is that karma for his behavior?

    Hi Sydney...

  6. Gee, everyone's doing the Coach fire dance

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh gee, I would love James to stay in just to look at his muscles... but I would really like an attitude adjustment.

Isn't Russell in plain view of everyone with all that digging?

  8. *peeking in from work*
Hi Delee and Sydney and Jackie and Sizzie who is hiding behind the lifeguard ... who's going home tonight?? I just hope it's a villian.

  15. I just stopped by for a very quick hello to all and a special thank you to Jackie for doing what you do. : ) I have to watch in another room, so can't comment as it happens. I'll be back though. Carry on. And remember Project Runway and Models is on tonight, too.

  16. Husband said that chocolate may taste good but will just give a sugar crash and headache and crankiness (those were my additions)

  17. Sorry all but I like the Villian's

  18. Hey, everyone! I agree, this is the best night of TV with TAR following close behind.

Zoetawny, hope all is going well there. Laurie, you still working?

  21. Hey, I'm all for the Villains. My gal in the pool is one, but my heart is with Russell! :)

  22. Hiss-boo, hiss-boo. Russell found the Idol and the Heros lost -- again.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Coach, DO NOT be all loyal to Russell! What do you read? Romance novels?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Come on Rob, do not let Russell get over on you.

    ReplyDelete
  25. RUnning to James shows off your alliance

    ReplyDelete
  26. Russell is freaking brilliant, playing to Coach's ego!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I can't believe Pav and Crunch believe Russell.

Monty, Monty, Monty, I thought you had better taste than Russell.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Nah Becky, I was a Russell fan last season too. :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Rob, as good as he is, isn't the schemer that Parvati and Russell make together. Both of them play pure scheming and manipulating.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Puzzles are not the Heroes strength. PLEASE PLEASE do well tonight. I want to see the drama of Russell being voted for.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Crap, another puzzle. We know how well the Heros are at solving challenges.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Jackie -- can you turn off the Word verification by chance purdy pleeze??

    James loosing his voice

    ReplyDelete
  33. Courtney is losing her britches.

    ReplyDelete
  34. comn heroes don't lose your lead!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Courtney almost lost her britches. James did great with his calling. It boils down to solving the puzzle.

    Tom may be in trouble.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I hope it isn't James or Rupert. I know James is hurt, and he's been quite a D*** this season, but I still love him.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oops, forgot to turn off the WV. My apologies.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I just hope my pool boy Colby doesn't go home because of that idol!

  39. woo blue starfish. Never seen before! And that waterhole that they swam in looked amazing. I want to go there!

  40. JT is a lil stinker this season.

  41. Late as usual - just can't get my work hours adjusted to be home before 5:30!! Still in the pool myself but Tyson is not one of my favorites!! (not even close)

  42. They deserve to lose! They have consistently voted out their strength.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I think keeping James will end up a major mistake...but we will see!

    ReplyDelete
  44. woah -- that blonde voted for tom. She does not want to be left out in the cold. I am pissed that Colby painted himself into a corner in an obvious alliance. I wonder what he can do to get in good with the others now.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I have to run it back and watch Russell knight Coach again. That cracked me up. Nite folks!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm with you ML.

HI SueGee!! Glad to at least hear from you!

Suzanne, thanks for the reminder of Project Runway! And there is one more bachelor special (outtakes I think) on this Monday night.

Jackie-- good point about Pavarti and Russell together, though I don't think he is consulting her right now. I want Boston Rob to stay til the end! Thx for taking the wv off.

Hi Laurie -- thanks for popping in!

Monty, where are you watching from tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Did anyone see Courtney eat or drink at the challenge. I saw her holding a glass...but that is all. I know they don't have huge meals at camp, but do we ever see her eating?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I actually tried to write while the show was on but none of my comments took! Oh well. I'm happy Tom is gone; he did not come off the same way as in his season (actually many of them have not). He just thought he was all that and was quite derogatory toward anyone who didn't think his way. I'm not a huge James fan but let's see if he can pull it back together. I know how debilitating knee injuries can be-and Jackie so do you unfortunately. I hope he's ok.

The only problem with Tom going is that it makes Colby more vulnerable, which wouldn't be a problem if they would just win once in a while (Colby is my pool boy afterall).

  49. Well, Tom DID win Survivor before, so....I don't feel too badly.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Joe in NY -- will you be checking in in a few days, even if you are busy Thursday nights?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Russell and Coach just did their little kneeling and knighting thing. My husband left the room! He just couldn't take those two together. Who's playing whom in that threesome, I wonder!

Delee thanks for telling what was going on. Do you think Rupert did that on purpose? Yikes!

  52. Sydney said...

Monty, where are you watching from tonight?
    ***********

Sydney, you are starting to worry me, lol. I always watch from my mother's house on Thursdays. I post most times from my brother's crappy laptop at her house. :)

I'm watching it again, and I still say Russell is brilliant. Boston Rob, look out. :( and :)

    Go Danielle!

    ReplyDelete
  53. where is the location of the show herous vs. villains

    ReplyDelete
  54. Just got around to watching my Survivor tape.

Jerri really looked like she got her face whacked pretty good but later, eating chocolate, she looked no worse for wear. She's a tough cookie.

Glad to see James make it back even tho he's bugging me this season.

Anyone notice Russ is very possibly wearing the same shorts he wore last season? He put the HI in the same pocket as he did last season. Also, Russ really sucked Coach in, didn't he? So easily it was downright pitiful. Coach will likely cry sadly when he watches this season later. Oh, the disrespect!

And Ol' Boston Rob was ready to take on Rupert after that Jerri bashing. I watched that scene in slo-mo. Don't think Rupert intentionally tried to slam her face into that pole but when he reached for her afterwards, he was still pushing her arm away from that football as she went backwards. That was another rough comp.

    Poor Tom.

  55. JoyN -- i think Russell staying in whatever place the last Season was in and started Survivor immediately... but he gained some of his waist back so he must have had some down time between to eat.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Ha ha love ya Joy N, but poor Tom isn't so poor- he won a million dollars and more than his 15 minutes of fame. It just seems like many of them are soiling their good reputations a bit, whether they be too aggressive (Rupert), a bit self-righteous (Tom), scary (James), or not the same person at all (JT). And all these are heroes! And the bad are just worse- not quite as sharp against experienced players but still mean and cocky as hell (Russell), or not mereley a lunatic but now a wussy lunatic (Coach).

Rob is the only one, so far, to come out smelling like a rose. Winning would be the perfect trifecta for Rob. First Amber wins it, then he wins it, AND he has happily ever after. Sorry my pool boy Colby; you've got some company. I'm rooting for a villain now, too.

  57. why are so many people getting hurt this season?

does anyone else think someone from production is telling russ where the idols are? how does he happen to fins most of them?

-jeannemarie (who is finally watching yesterday's show)

    ReplyDelete
  58. I agree that the heroes are losing some admiration this season 20.

Rupert surprised me most of all. He's not quite the big teddybear I thought he was.

Tom and Colby both seemed to expect that their whole group was going to follow their lead, but when none did, they got a little pissy about it.

Wonder where the old James disappeared to. I'm not liking this one much. Only glad he came back with the lame knee cause I'm hoping to see the Heroes win something again, tho I can't see him being a lot of help to them now.

J.T. totally turned his gameplay around from last time and I'm pretty sure that's gonna bite him in the butt at some point.

He's not my pool guy, but I'm adoring Boston Rob and would love to see him go far this time. Have a feeling tho, that Evil Russ will not be happy till Rob is gone. Having that HI does tend to change the game as he said.

Sandra, my pool pick isn't doing a whole lot yet, except complain. I'll wait and see.

  59. Do we really have to go two weeks before another Survivor episode?
    :(:(:(:(:(:(((((

  60. it is filmed where season 19 was filmed. american samoas, pretty sure.

    ReplyDelete
  61. As someone mentioned earlier, Survivor will be on next Wed. instead of Thurs. The cable guide says there will be a double elimination.

    ReplyDelete
  62. If they're going to eliminate two people then we should get a two hour show :))
    ML

    ReplyDelete
  63. ML, hadn't thought of that. Hope you're right!

    ReplyDelete
  64. You gotta respect Russell for his acumen whether you like him or not. I can't stand Parvarti for the sneaky female that she is... not all of us operate like her.
