If he had told them when they were out of the clutches of production and living a more "normal" life, I don't think it would have been AS dramatic. There was a write up in one of the entertainment papers about it. And he said in a DR session right after he came clean with America that he was going to donate money to the foundation.

That's funny! Sometimes I feel like I'm a decade or more behind with technology. Besides a dial-up connection, I get by with broadcast TV and a VCR, still shoot film in my Nikon, read actual books and have never sent or received a text message. Yet I'm still a functioning member of society. My own little rebellion, I guess.
