Big Brother - Power of Veto Show Blog Party Post - September 1

big brother,jackiestvblog

The show is about to start here on the East Coast. As it airs, I'll post important updates in this entry. But the real fun is in the comments section. Everyone is invited to join in with your thoughts! Later tonight (or, worst case scenario, early in the morning), my full show review will be posted over on TV Squad.

Tomorrow night might present a programming dilemma for many of the readers ... and definitely for myself. In this area (NYC metro viewing area), no CBS affiliate will air the live eviction show before 1:37 AM ET. I'm hoping that one of the sites which airs the East Coast feed will have it at 8 PM ET. If not, I'll put up a post anyway, but will have to watch and write up the episode for TVS in the middle of the night. Then I'll have to go to work.

I don't like football and certainly don't like pre-season games messing with my shows!

Lane out first round of Otev veto. Hayden out. Britney out. Enzo wins veto! Fearing the others night turn on Britney, Lane put up Hayden in Enzo's place.

  5. Do they know what "shun" means? Have they confused it with "shed"?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Silk--My thoughts too. I was ready to go grab a Webster's.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Yeah, Enzo! He beat the system. He's free of the penguin suit AND broke the curse of the costume. He's still there.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Silk-
You have to remember, the 3 wit brothers and a blonde are in the house. There is not 1 brain cell to share amongst them

  9. Shun is a big Enzo word this summer. It's used out of context most of the time.

  18. I love you, Britney. What will do without her in the house if they get rid of her? Not this week, but next.

    ReplyDelete
  19. monty- then i must have missed something because i didn't see it mentioned in the blogs. who won? thanks -jeannemarie

  20. Monty-

Lane just did. He was the first elimanated leaving Regen safe who was the last up the hill.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Joe, I think Ragan let go of the controversy pretty quickly. Sounded like he and Enzo dove for it at the same time.

    Janie stold my dolly. :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Just goes to prove my point about Ragan: he is Brenchel, he just doesn't realize it.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I agree--Ragan's a sore loser. I didn't see Enzo do anything wrong.

    Thanks Jackie!

  25. I'm not so heartbroken Ragan.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Merrilee, I just got what you meant. I was laughing at Lane. No one in this type of comp has ever brought back the wrong answer. Well, until Lane! :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hayden's sayin' "me"...but he's thinkin' YOU.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Britney getting pretty demanding with Lane.

    ReplyDelete
  29. A few nights ago on BBAD she told Lane he better not put her up and if he did and she won POV, she'd take Ragan off. It was an out and out threat.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well, its clear who CBS wants people to think is going up in Enzo's place.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Interesting to see them talking backsliding Britney. They actually ARE paying attention to strategy.

I would solve to see Hayden get back doored //

I have to say, Lane is not the sharpest knife in the drawer - and I don't mean because he brought back the wrong disk.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Here come the sock puppets, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  33. My Gawd, Ragan, suck it up!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Howcum no punishment for Enzo not using the sock puppet in the HOH room?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Love the puppet DRs. I can't wait to see them edit the dancing. I guess we'll get that tomorrow night. They'll humiliate them again on the big screen, LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  36. They have nothin' but time, and they can't clean up?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Peanutbutter in the fridge?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Odds are that most of them still live at home with mommy...who spoils the rotten!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Silk, if they didn't punish him for eating when he was a have not, they won't punish him for sock puppet.

Oh, here's the dancing! Loved it!

    ReplyDelete
  40. this dancing punishment is funny!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm glad they're showing the dancing now, more time for the jury house stuff tomorrow, I hope.

    These people need some lessons.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Brigade doubt creeping in all over the place.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Lane: "I have friends too!" lol

    ReplyDelete
  44. Britney is only thinking of Britney which is understandable, but she's doing it because she figures she can beat Lane in the votes. I think she's right.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm almost getting excited to think Hayden might actually, possibly, getting back doored.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Lane has no idea that he's now at the bottom of the Brigade totem pole. I think Britney will keep trying to convince him though.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'm wondering if Lane was more strategy than friendship for her.

At the beginning of the season, she was described as one of three who would knife you. Along with Monet and Matt.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Funny how Enzo says "Vedoh"

    ReplyDelete
  49. Enzo sounds like Stanley Kowalski

    ReplyDelete
  50. If enzo was smart, he would get together with Britney and vote out hayden and that way the meow meow will still have the control

    ReplyDelete
  51. I loved Ragan's little smirk/smile there. He's done nothing much to keep his butt in there though. Sigh!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Catch Ragan's smile/smirk at Hayden nom?

    ReplyDelete
  53. ...Brando's Stanley Kowalski, which was pretty much how Brando sounded.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I hope Hayden or Enzo win the next HOH and put up Lane and Britney.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Lane, Lane, Lane, you don't do that by shooting yourself in the foot everytime Ragan makes an effort to get you there.

Lane is dumber than Enzo and Hayden put together.

    ReplyDelete
  56. It looks like the show is on here in CT tomorrow night. Hopefully I will get home from my second job in time and be able to help with updates. Hope I'm not the only one who can watch live!

    ReplyDelete
  57. omg! what a shock! -jeannemarie

    ReplyDelete
  58. Anon MA, I think we read each others mind. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  59. I am definitely anti Britney as of tonight. Just don't like her.

    ReplyDelete
  60. If Lane's last DR session there was in context and not just an edit, it's definitely by by Hayden. I hope not. Once Ragan is gone I don't care among the four remaining who wins. Just not Ragan. Can we possibly take another couple weeks of his pathetic character?
    ML

    ReplyDelete
  61. Yup, Monty.

I have to say, I now gotta go with Camp Meow Meow. I think he's savvy and was a great sport about the penguin suit!

I will be really intersted in Jackie's updates tomorrow to see if Enzo and Britney wake up and evict Hayden. I think Brit might because she believes he is the only person likes better than her (probably true). So Hayden is a threat to her getting to F2. Enzo has to know it's time for the brigade to drop one. He so dislikes Ragan that it might stand in his way.

Love to see Hayden out. I'm finding him more and more annoying

    ReplyDelete
  62. Lane takes any suggestion. He fell for Brit's lies in the HOH room hook, line and sinker. Hayden should try to talk to Lane more because he is so easily manipulated. The problem is, Hayden, too, well Merrilee put it best, he's just one fourth of the dummies left. So let's see, then he's not even half- a&&ed but he's only a quarter a&&?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Britney will go all out for the next HOH. She will put Enzo and Hayden up and Lane will have to vote one out. She's worked this so that E&H will probaly not give Lane their votes as he turned his back on the brigade. Britney is playing Lane and I think she has been all along.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Poppa's got the bling-bling. Loved that line when Enzo won the POV. Like him sometimes, sometimes not so much, Right now I like him again.

    ReplyDelete
  65. If there is a BB God....pray pray pray that the one active cell in Lane's brain comes to life, and they backdoor Hayden!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Lane does not want to backdoor hayden since hay promised him final 2 as did brit.
I think keeping ragan is big mistake
next 2 comps are the before and after type question/ or true false
and then the morph comp perhaps.
if ragan stays and wins lanes game could end there.
    get ragan cry baby out

    ReplyDelete
  67. The brigade needs to talk some common sense to Lane. But then, there's not a lot of common sense left in that house.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Or was there ever any.

    ReplyDelete
  69. It time for Ragan to go. If the next comps are memory based, he will win.

Brit has successfully played Lane. The ep made it appear as if she has him wrapped around her finger.

Hayden and Enzo should have told Lane that he needed to put Brit up...the end. Asked him to draw a line in the sand to show where his loyalties were. I hope they are now smart enough to see that Lane loyalties exist only so far as what is good for Lane.

What's with comments like, I'll go up? Then when asked by Lane, "uh, not necessarily." Just say, don't put me up.

Surprise! Enzo is the best dancer. Who knew?

Hayden is a horrible dancer, but he danced. I have no idea what Lane was doing. Brit danced like a sorority girl who learned a few moves from music videos but definitely not in the clubs.

Enzo played 100% fair in the comp. Ragan just didn't like the outcome.

    ReplyDelete
  70. The best line from 2nite, was actually from last week.

    "It's a money tree."

The look on Lane's face was priceless. I don't even know what you would call that expression, but I was embarrassed for him.

    ReplyDelete
  71. What was with Brit throwing out food?

Clean up? Yes, about time. But she was throwing out boxes of food?!? Since when does cereal go bad?

    ReplyDelete
  72. The dancing so very very funny, we rewound it and watched a second time...still funny.
It didn't look at all like Enzo cheated or that he saw where Ragan was going and beat him there.
It clearly looked like they both remembered where they saw it raced for it.
They are a funny bunch at least.

    ReplyDelete
  73. @ Anon - I think Brit was throwing out the open stuff because (as Jackie mentioned in a report) they seem to have a huge problem with ants and other kitchen pests.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I am with Joe....I did not watch the show. They are a boring bunch. A few weeks down the road I am not going to remember who was even on the show this year.

    Bring on Survivor!!

    ReplyDelete
  75. If Lane is up against Hayden or Brit he wont win. SO it just a crap shoot for him either way. If any of the brigade members oust one of the group they will not get their vote, remember these people are playing on emotions, how all 4 of them thought that they would be in the final 2 without there being broken promises I have no a idea, I just want anybody to win except BRIT, RAGAN OR HAYDEN, get my drift. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  76. this is really messin up lane puttin up hayden over brit...bad move because they know where his loyalty lies now....:<

    ReplyDelete
  77. Had to veto the show tonight because I worked. I work tomorrow night, but it is on at 8 p.m. here in my area of Ohio. Our ABC affiliate has the football.

I just do not want Hayden backdoored; but truthfully, it would be good strategy to do so. But, like I said, I do not want it to be Hayden. I want him to stay. Please let him stay. LOL.

Merrilee - too funny, but you're right. It would be nice to have at least one person use a brain cell at least once in awhile.

It's funny because we all complain when it's a boring group, but then we complain when we have a wicked group.

Yes, let's bring on Survivor. Can't wait to see Jimmy Johnson. That ought to be interesting. I want to root for him, but can't see him getting far because they'll think he doesn't need the money.
