Survivors Ready?
Welcome one, welcome all! The blog party is ready to start! The Sunday night East Coast football curse strikes the timing of the show just as it did for most of The Amazing Race. I expect things to start about 20 minutes late. I'm SO happy I don't have to stay up to write up the three hours for TV Squad although I miss the income from that.
Everyone is welcome to join in with comments as the show airs here on the East Coast or even later in West Coast time. As the show airs, I'll post major events here, but the real fun and most of the reactions are in the comments section. See you there! I'll bring Trader Joe's Veggie Sticks and the Guinness.

Dan was voted out.
2nd Immunity -- Holly out, Chase out. Whoa, Fabio got it again!
Sash, Chase and Fabio voted out Holly. (She voted Sash.) A good move for Fabio, methinks. I don't think Sash has jury votes. Chase is iffy.
Dan and Marty voted Fabio, Alina and Brenda voted Chase.

ReplyDelete8 years ago today was the finale of Survivor: Thailand. That was the year that Brian Heidik won. That was also the finale that I was in labor with my Super O! I'll never forget, the anesthesiologist came in to do my epidural, after 14 hours of labor, just as Jeff was about to reveal the winner. He asked everyone to leave the room and my mother, O's father, her aunt and my doctor all asked him if he could wait a minute!! Seriously people!! There was a TV about 100 feet away from my room in the waiting area but they were afraid they wouldn't make it on time! Almost Happy Birthday to my almost 8 year old girl!

If Fabio goes to the end I wouldn't be surprised to see him win it. Chase and Sash have p.oed too many people.
Merrilee - I'm not thrilled with any of them. I guess Holly or Fabio would be my choices. Dan deserves nothing and Sash annoys me. Chase has played stupidly.

ReplyDeleteDan is only there because he poses zero threat. He doesn't do well in challenges and he goes wherever the wind blows him as far as alliances go. He has no strategy and only serves as a vote at this point. If he were a threat they would have gotten rid of him a while ago.

ReplyDeleteDan is still there because he hasn't annoyed anyone enough to vote him out. He may ride this to the end because he's done nothing to warrant his winning. Anyone against him will probably win because at least they tried to win a comp. For that reason, I hope they vote him out tonight before the final council. It would be sad to see anyone else win by default.

I think they really need to KEEP Dan at this point (yes, I said it). He'll never win an endurance comp and no one on the jury is going to vote for him as being the most deserving: he's done NOTHING and he was wearing $1500 shoes so they know he doesn't need the money. They would be much better served in kicking out Chase or Sash.

ReplyDeleteI would vote out either Sash or Chase as they are more of a threat then Holly or Dan at this point. The next challenge(s) are going to be pysical and dan or holly won't make it long in a physical challenge.

I would think Fabio would stand a chance against any of the other 3. After all, they were a bit clumsy about how they played even though they sort of stayed together. After all, Sash was a late addition to that little group. I would think he would have the best chance with the jury since he could argue that his alliance (Brenda and Benry) got trashed and he managed to survive.

Who voted for who? Wasn't perfect win, but he did make his way to the top. He just makes me laugh - hard - when he talks. Definitely a bad case of ADD.

I like the redemption Island thing. From what I get, yes, if you're voted out, you go to Redemption Island. The next person voted off, will join you and you both duel to stay in the game. Now, what I don't understand is, do they stay in the game by going back to the regular tribe, or do they stay on Redemption Island and dual each other until the end?
Sounds exciting.
Jeff Probst said in an interview today that because of the Redemption Island duels between eliminated contestants, all of the reward/immunity challenges will be combined every week for the non-elim'd players. Will that mean that when the individual challenges start, whomever wins them, automatically wins reward and immunity? That kind of sucks.
