The end is nigh ... finally. Tonight is the big season finale of Big Brother with the final HoH round between Rachel and Porsche. As usual, it should have ended more than a couple of days ago. Three hamsters in the house is always tedious. These particular three hamsters, even more so. I've had a few people ask why I haven't posted updates the past few days. Well, honestly ... I tend to post updates when something actually happens. After all, how many times can I post:
- The girls have agreed to take each other to the final two.
- Adam keeps pleading his case with each nonetheless.
- Adam begged America to vote him as favorite player.
- They played cards.
- They talked in funny accents.
- Not funny ha-ha, mind you. Funny annoying.
- They napped.
- They worked out.
- They cooked.
- They ate.
- Then they played more cards.
- They reminisced.
- They tried to figure jury votes.
- They tie-died shirts.
- They ate some more.
- You get the drift.
- Now, had I caught some actual news -- say something like one of the girls said they'd take Adam to the F2 -- I would have broken in with a post.
- However, it does look like the girls will definitely take each other.
- I guess we'll see tonight!
Stop back tonight for the Survivor premiere party at 8 PM ET followed the Big Brother 13 season finale party at 9:30!
I agree these extra days are not needed. Yawn!!! Excited that Survivor is starting but glad BB is over!

ReplyDeleteRachel can't win..plain and simple. If Porsche takes Adam - she's out 500k..only the 3 vets would vote for Rachel and if Rachel was on jury - then the 4 vets would vote for Adam. This ending is so predictable...
ReplyDeleteI was thinking (which is very dangerous), when BB starts the producers have everything pretty much figured out. What HOH competitions, POV comps and eviction night. They have down to a "T" so it will end on a certain date.However, when something unusal happens, like ED leaving the second week, that throws everything off, one less HG and they still had an eviction that Thursday. So I was thinking.. do you think that eviction night when Lawon left but Brendon came back was a last ditch effort to put the show back on schedule or did they plan that all along?
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if there plan was to always bring someone back. I heard the houseguests talking that they were supposed to bring someone back last year but Julie said something she shouldn't have.

I still say Rachel should win( not because she is my pick in the pool). She would win if she took adam.
If porsche wins yet again i will be dissapointed.
Sissy...they could have had two DEs planned and canceled one. They could have reinserted Brendon ex post facto. Hard to say.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with 3 people is you really can't get good information because they can only talk to each other. (Unless they talk to a camera late at night.)
I mean, suppose Rachel really wants to take Adam. Who is she going to tell? She can't tell Porsche. She really can't afford to tell Adam lest he tell Porsche. So, even if Porsche and Rachel BOTH want to take Adam to the final, you're not going to hear it because there is no one for them to tell.
They know that they have the power and so it doesn't matter what Adam knows or thinks. They need the other lady (?) to feel solid with them and so the illusion will hold until they actually have to make a choice.
I think they would have had the final if Sunday hadn't been 9/11.

ReplyDeleteI would like to share with you,if I may, With your permission of course, you may removed this post if you don't like it. I just wanted to share with you a funny moment that happen partly because of this blog and the show as well.
It seem that both you and the show have many nurses as fans and some's times back some nasty posts were made about Joey and was brought to my attention as well. When I read them, I got very upset and was yelling at the computer with the nurses when one of them started laughing out loud.
when I ask why, she said "Julie, you are doing a "Shelly"
A What?
Then she explain
"Remember that time Shelly was in that room with the fortune-teller and was talking- yelling at it for 3 hours and then got up to walk out saying, "I'm a grown women talking to a machine" Well, Julie, you just did a "shelly" and yell at a machine. Then we all laugh about it and had fun with it.
Now it seem to be the new catch phase, as last weekend Joe's nephew and his brothers were in waiting room watching the football game and you know how boys are with football and when they were yelling at the t.v. One of his nephew's little boy, all of 6 years old, walk up to them and said "Daddy, you all are doing a "Shelly" stop it. Then they all laugh . Now it a new catch phase in the family and seems if not for anything else, this show brought about a fews funny's moments and so good sound of laughters in an place of sadness. Thank God for "Shelly moments".
We all are guilty of a moment or two of doing a "Shelly".
I hope all of you enjoy the final and hope there not too many "shelly" moment after the winner is pick.

I just saw a promo for tonight over on jokers and now believe that Shelly will not vote Porsche for the win. I know the remaining hamsters think she will will.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not but I think Shelly just may vote for Rachel for the win. Dani will vote for Porshe but if it's adam and Rachel, Dani may very well vote for Rachel because she doesn't like floaters. The other vets will vote for anyone except for Porshe. So all in all, there are 3 votes for anyone sitting next to Porshe and you need 4 to win so it may be a close vote.If Rachel wins and picks Porshe, Rachel should win, if she picks Adam, Porshe will definitely pick ADAM to win.
ReplyDeleteOn another nite, I was in rehab (for injuries, not drugs..lol) from June to August,so I could only watch BB on tv and it bugged me not knowing what was happening. However I had a male nurse who loved BB and not onlywould he come to my room for some made up pretense to watch the eviction but he also got updates before hand on his phone so luckily I did get some info from him.
Clearly, the producers need to come up with ways to make floaters like Adam and coasters like Jordan compete, in some fashion, more actively, without penalizing skilled, active players like Dr. Will, who throw comps so they can actively manipulate others to do the dirty work.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I'd suggest better casting. Just don't put dolts like Adam, Porsche, Lawon, and Jordan in the house to begin with. Look for smart people who will look for clever schemes to get other clever players out. Rachel should be about as dumb as a houseguest comes.
Second, keep cumulative standings in HOH and veto comps. The weakest players could be subject to penalties, possibly automatic nomination or eviction. If they put anyone on slop, make it a dis-incentive in those comps. (I'd eliminate luxury comps. They are usually gross and uninteresting because nothing critical is at stake. I'd also, eliminate nonsense like the Zingbot in favor of more house politics and drama.)
Third, with the players aware that this will happen occasionally, "Big Brother" could partner with "America" to vote out an underperforming houseguest every few weeks. Julie Chen would say something like, "Big Brother wants to evict Adam, Lawon, Porsche, or Jordan because they consistently do poorly in comps, and they have not actively played the game. Cast your votes."
This will be a great night of TV, first the Survivor premiere for a hour and a half and then BB finale for another hour and a half. I won't even be able to watch my beloved Phillies play except for a few glimpses during commercials.I can't wait, I'm counting down the hours, making sure the dogs are fed, dishes are done and have nothing else to do but to sit peacefully in fron of the tv for 3 hours. The one glitch is that hubby will be home by 9:30 and he tends to talk to me. I hope they ask him to work overtime until 11:00 pm...lol

What I would do is after a set number of weeks the person who has won the least amount of comps,goes up automatically. HOH would then select the other. That would make the hamsters think twice about throwing a comp.

ReplyDeleteHas anyone read the eviction interviews from BB fans on the CBS site? One guy proposed to Jordan if Jeff doesn't propose to her in 6 months... but on Kalia's, one person asked "How does it feel to be the first player to sleep all summer", her answer was " If I can sleep all summer and still be in the Top 5 and be smarter than the others, what does that say about me?" Classic Kalia and her superior attitude if you ask me. You guys should read them.

Anon 5:20 - Good idea, but my guess would be that the forced nominee would almost always end up as a legitimate pawn. They would vote off the HOH's more powerful nominee, and the pawn would continue coasting.

I live in upper Delaware, so it's a hop, skip and a jump to Philly. If I wasn't a Phillies fan, I would be thrown out of the family. However, just one brother is a BB fan (reality shows in general).I think TAR starts in a week and a half and DWTS starts on Monday. Did anyone hear that "CHAZ" (formerly known as Chasity Bono)is a contestant? I just love the fall when all new shows start,

Julie, Your story about the nurses saying you were doing a Shelly is funny. That's a good term to describe those times when we find ouselves ranting at inanimate objects.
