Are you ready for the merge?
Both tribes are at the duel. The winner of the duel will come back into the game. We're talking a tie-sticks to make pole, get three keys, open three locks challenge. OMG! Ozzy's stupid move worked and he won the duel! Goodbye, Christine.
The merge is on -- Ozzy bad-talked Cochran pre-duel and now hopes Cochran can "infiltrate" the other tribe.
Coach called out Cochran on exactly why Ozzy went to Redemption. Cochran ended up admitting it all. He gave the idol back to Ozzy. Dawn, all of a sudden, decides to really team up with Cochran. This could be interesting.
Immunity challenge on. One man and one woman will win.
Dawn won for the women! And Ozzy was the male winner!
Now Dawn doesn't want to back up Cochran in a flip.

sorry to hear the Ethan's cancer is back. He was never one of my favorites, but he always seemed like a very decent guy.

Petals, I'm pretty sure he'll beat Christine but that really accomplishes nothing. The real question is what happens post merge. Does Cochran jump? Does Cochran keep the idol?
ReplyDeleteHonestly, there is nothing to be gained by beating Christine. In fact, I think Ozzy would be better off if Cochran had gone and lost to Christine. Christine would be a big target of her old tribe taking some of the heat off of Ozzy.

Dopey Conkren! Ozzy's tribe could have gone into the merge with an advantage. One that does not include little c. Coach actually made good sense when he talked to the dip stick.

ReplyDeleteJoe, I do agree, I think they should have just played it straight and voted Cochran off and they might have been able to gain Christine on their side. Instead, they believe Cochran will remain loyal. Right now, it looks like he will not remain loyal to his group and will help vote out one of his own. Sad, I know it's self preservation, but Savaii is pretty solid in loyalty. Looks like he's targeting Keith. :-(

I agree, Monty. Christine would have been completely against almost her entire former tribe. Cochran, meanwhile, has been the whipping boy for most of his tribe. If they did the math, they were better off with Christine than Cochran.

Even if Cochran is #7 in the other tribe, that's no worse than being #6 in your tribe. At some point, the 7 need to turn on each other and you can form a new alliance. It's a good move for Cochran.

ReplyDeletePetals, it is a "suck it Ozzy" moment because Ozzy's big move was to vote himself out, save Cochran and plant Cochran as a double agent.
ReplyDeleteInstead, Cochran jumps ship while Christine would have been loyal and Ozzy's attempt at tricking the other tribe was sniffed out in 15 seconds.
Ultimately, Ozzy is responsible for Keith going home. They abused Cochran for 3 weeks and then really expected him to stay loyal and trust rocks...when 1/2 of his tribe was safe from rocks.
Never trust the rocks if you have a choice. Cochran had a choice and made it. He's at the bottom of another tribe, but it's a tribe that actually will be grateful for his move rather than despising him for his weakness.
I hope so Petals. So far she isn't doing much other than being a vote.

Cochran made the smart move. He would never have moved up from #6 with his tribe. If Upolo stays united and votes off the Savaii tribe one by one they will eventually have to think about their own pecking order and the 7 will probably split at some point and Cochram could end up in an strong alliance of 4, with a good chance of making it to the finals.
