Survivor South Pacific 12/07 Episode Blog Party

Survivor South Pacific

Survivors ready? It's almost time for the show to start here on the East Coast. As it airs, I'll be updating this post with major events. But the real fun and active discussion can be found in the blog party comments. Stop on in and share your thoughts on the show!

Tonight is the family reunion show. However, what interests me the most is whether Cochran will survive!

Yep, product placement video mails from family.

Duel time -- there is a twist to the duel, to be told later. Uh-oh -- grappling hooks, bags, balls on a table maze. Sigh. Ozzy won. The twist is that the family members come out to greet each castaway, then Ozzy has to choose who will get to spend time with the loved one. Albert gets to spend time with his mother. One more person -- Ozzy chooses Coach with his brother, the last person chosen is Brandon to spend time with his father. They'll spend that time on Redemption Island.

Immunity challenge -- keep moving across a giant puzzle board. They flip a piece over, stand on it, cannot stand on it again, out of moves out of the challenge, last person standing wins. Coach wins. The Brandon/Edna antagonism carries on.

Tribal time. I really wish they'd keep Edna and get rid of Brandon.

Tally time!

Edna
Brandon
Edna
Edna
Edna

Sigh. That Brandon twerp gets on my nerves.

    ReplyDelete
  2. C'mon, Cochran. send that fool home

    ReplyDelete
  3. Hey muffin.
Sorry, but you will be seeing some Coch-kicking action tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Howdy all.... what's the drinking word tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  5. why is Cochran stroking my boyfriend??

    ReplyDelete
  6. Well, Survivor has been preempted for local college football. It doesn't show until 1:35 a.m. I'm bummed. I'll just check in to see what going on. >.<

    ReplyDelete
  7. No, no, no, Joe, Ozzy has to stay. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hey Monty ~

    I think "family" was funny...

    ReplyDelete
  9. WHAT? What am I missing???? Cochran stroking Ozzy? Yikes. Fill me in!

    ReplyDelete
  10. As smug as Ozzy is, you have to love that clip. It was funny last week and even more tonight. Oz the stache! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hi Nickel -

Oh no, I'd be so mad if anything pre-empted my seeing Ozzy. We'll keep you informed...

    ReplyDelete
  12. oops, College basketball. I'd better get that right. Basketball instead of Survivor!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I know, Monty - LOL. "stache", I hated reading it, but it was too funny.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Penny -- I hate when they do that. Here, we have those after Craig Ferguson Survivor shows during March Madness.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Nickel - basketball is worse, ugh

    ReplyDelete
  16. Family is good and we can always fall back on Brandon! You just know he has some jewels in him tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Is Penny Nickelpeed?
Cool - you arent anon anymore :)

So are we drinking on Family?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Edna wore a suit to the island...?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hey, everyone? Boy, the post are plenty already.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hey Becky!
Posts aplenty cuz I rave about my boyfriend. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  21. Brandon is something else!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Edna's sister is a "smaller" version of her? She must be a Liliputian!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Would love to see Cochran pull this out.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Branden's dad is kinda handsome...wonder if he has any of that oil money?

    ReplyDelete
  25. okay, how exactly is Cochran going to get back into this...LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  26. GO OZZY ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

    Kick the Coch!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yes, Nickelpeed is Penny. I finally fixed my google account. As long as I do not forget my password again. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  28. oooo...Cochran has a shot!

    ReplyDelete
  29. What's the challenge? Dang, I want to see this!!! Someone, give me a visual!!!! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  30. Joe, cant you just pretend that Ozzy isnt amazingly gorgeous and see him for the true athlete he is?

    ReplyDelete
  31. OMG That was sooooo close!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm behind because a certain puppy had to go out, lol. I'll catch up at the commercial and will be back in a few.

    ReplyDelete
  33. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

That's my hunka burnin island love!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Go Ozzy. Don't let the Coch get you! GO! GO! GOOOooooooo! ;-)p

    ReplyDelete
  35. Petals, I don't deny that Ozzy is an athlete. I also find him to be a shallow, self-centered egotist.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It was one of those ball-in-the-hole-mazes.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Is Ponderosa up yet? Petals, do you have any finger nails left? I think Cochran came the closest to beating Oz.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Joe - because I luv ya, I will share something with you: Ozzy's nickname on another website is: "porn-stache".
    There, go to town.

    ReplyDelete
  39. GOODBYE to the COCH!!! Good riddance! Sorry, Joe....

    What was the challenge?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Becky, I read a reliable spoiler to prepare for tonight.
I've been nursing a huge depression, and this is my only refuge. I couldnt take an Ozzy loss.

Jackie - Sophie is favored to WIN!

    ReplyDelete
  41. So, they made the challenge so that Cochran could have won. Okay. Ozzy is just THAT good.

Petals - his nickname is WHAT? lmao

    ReplyDelete
  42. dang...I'm liking Mr. Hanz

    ReplyDelete
  43. Monty - how's the pup? Must be doing well if he's asking to go out. Good for him!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Nickel (are you Penny?) ~

Ozzy did a kind of porn several years ago, and when he started growing his moustache, and one website is calling him "porn-stache"

    ReplyDelete
  45. Uh, oh. So, the family members are there already? Brandon's dad is likable?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Pete got the looks in Coach's family. This part always makes me tear up. I love it. Much better than the final walk of fame/shame.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Not cool putting Ozzy, the WINNER, in charge of picking who got to saty for a visit. It makes him out to be a bad guy.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I hate not having Survivor on! Dang the local station CBS station for winning the video rights!!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Brandon's dad is a beefcake. Looks like his about 25yrs old, nice pecs, all his hair...cutey!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I would have picked Rick rather than Coach. He doesn't have a snowball chance with Coach keeping him.... but Rick might have. I think Brandon was a good choice. Something like that would mean a lot to him.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Penny - I always update the blog entry with the major events, including challenges.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Becky, me too. The family visits get to me.
Not fair that Ozzy didnt get to bring me. :P

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yes, Petals, I am Penny. I think the Ozzy pet name is funny. But, he is really nice to look at.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Penny - they put Ozzy in charge of picking 3 people to get to have their family member stay for a visit. He chose Brendan, Coach and Albert.
They were given a Sprint phone to take pix on.
"Sprint" shouldve been the drinking word, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  55. Penny, he's doing great with the house training... I just wish he would grow his bladder as fast as his brain. Then there's all the rain and he hates to go out in the rain and would rather just go somewhere in the house instead. Patience is my new favorite word, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  56. Coach just privately confided to Ozzy that he wants to take him to the final 2, "two warriors in battle".

Yes, Brandon's dad is kinda hunky.
Anyone else? Is he a beefcake or what?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thanks, Jackie. Wow, Ozzy picked. I'm not surprised as who he chose: the seemingly most powerful ones of the group. Interesting. So, is Ozzy back in the game?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Monty, been there. Bash wont pee inside, but he does the other thing on my dressing room floor (tile). We are having an issue with the #2. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  59. pornstache is not exactly a clever nickname for a former porn actor who has a porn stache. LOL

Who does Brandon's Dad think he is? He's a visitor, not a player.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Brandon's father is so NOT a beefcake, Petals! Eww!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Brandon's dad doesn't fall far from the Hantz tree. He might be an attractive man, but I don't care for him at all.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Next season should be a Hantz Family Survivor. LOL. How effing funny would that be?

    ReplyDelete
  63. wow - Hunky Hantz is working Coach to keep Brandon in the game, what ballz.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Oh, guess what guys? Did you hear that Rachel & Brendan from BB are gonna be on Amazing Race?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Penny, are you on Facebook?

    ReplyDelete
  66. LOL, Jackie. I'm with you. I think Russell is actually hunkier than Brandon's Dad...and that is not saying much.

This is actually not a very pretty final 5. I kind of like that. I'm so tired of all the substanceless wanna-be LA models on these shows.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Jackie, sorry. I kinda like that cocky, beefy thing. He's no Ozzy, but...

Joe - when does your winter break begin?

    ReplyDelete
  68. He (dad) looked better in the long shots. Up close, not good at all.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Yeah, it's a #2 issue here! :)

I'm seriously behind here, but I'll catch up quick. Just give me one more commercial break. I love Brandon's dad.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I don't think Brandon's father is attractive at all -- he looks like a short chubby mix between Russell and Brandon.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Well, Mr Hantz is gone. But I'm happy with my Ozzy, my Joe and my "real" guy, LOL. (which, Joe - a whole new issue!)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Monty, it just takes time. Their brains do seem to grow faster than their bladder. LOL. If you can, take him out every hour or so while you're home. I know it seems like a lot, but it's the way they learn.

I have 4 dogs and one stays in his crate because, even though he's smart for some things, he still thinks my footstool is a fire hydrant. I have to watch him. He just turned 2.

They just take time and consistency. He'll learn.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Muffin, I totally agree - I like the "real" people they chose for this season.

    ReplyDelete
  74. True about that Jackie. I didn't like the way he brow beat Coach, but Coach was onto him anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  75. That seems to be one of Survivor's favorite challenges. Who's doing well so far?

    ReplyDelete
  76. WE have one more week before winter break

    ReplyDelete
  77. Go Edna girl! You can make them eat their words right here!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Monty - My doxie hated rain. He finally learned that no matter what, he had to go out. He also hated his first snow. He did look cute in his snow jacket, though. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  79. Coach wins. Edna was playing with such a defeatist attitude. She knows she is next to go.

    ReplyDelete
  80. So, the Daddy Hantz is arrogant, eh? Not surprised, he probably takes a lot after Russell. LOL

This is just SO unfair. I can't see it until 1:35 p.m. >.<

    ReplyDelete
  81. Well, I bet Edna is gone tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Sebastian got groomed today, and she used a new cologne that I wish they sold for men! I keep sniffing Bash...LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Thanks for all the encouragement guys. We have a little down jacket for Joey, but I'm praying that I don't need to use it much this winter. I can't even imagine what he will be like in snow! Gahh

    ReplyDelete
  84. Yes, Petals, I am under my real name Penny Brannon

    ReplyDelete
  85. I like Rick, he's a good ol' boy

    ReplyDelete
  86. I love my pups. I lost my mini-poodle last August. I still cry. He was almost 17. Such a great dog. He loved the rain and the snow. He would roll in snow. Best dog every. Very easy to train and such a mama's boy. I miss him. Wouldn't have had 4 dogs, but my daughter moved to Akron and couldn't have a dog, so we got him. Very high maintenance Australian Cattle Dog. Very smart, though.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Edna is just chewing Sour Grape Gum at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yeah, Penny - it is hard to lose a pet, they are our children.
    Aussies are super-smart, like Poodles.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Joe, do you teach or are you in college? My daughter and her fiance are on semester's also. Both are taking finals now. He's in law school and is so stressed out, I think he needs a break very soon. But, he's doing well so far, but it is his first year, which is the hardest.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Man, Edna is so lucky! She gets to spend time with Ozzy!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Monty, I dont think the word "family" was mentioned tonight. LOL.
    Oh well...

    ReplyDelete
  92. Kale is just so hyper, though. He was found wandering the country roads and thin. A family picked him up, tried to keep him, but the father couldn't handle his high activity, so they brought him to the local no-kill shelter. My daughter saw him and fell in love. He was probably about 6 months at the time. He peed once inside and that's all it took. We scolded him, put him outside, and he never did it again. However, he still has some food aggression. He's been with us for over 5 years, now.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Hi Nickel,

    I teach college.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Edna's gone, then, right? I think they are going to try to get all the women out. Sophie needs to scurry.

    ReplyDelete
  95. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  96. This group is just the best at meaningful stares at tribal council. I don't ever remember a cast that did so much communicating during tribal councils.

    ReplyDelete
  97. If they were going to vote Brandon, Coach should have suggested he was going to slay Ozzy.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I'd like to see Sophie go to the finals...
BuhBye Edna. Kiss my boyfriend at RI.

    ReplyDelete
  99. gotta give it to them, they have hung together faithfully through it all. Points for loyalty...not sure about how smart it always is.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Now they begin stabbing each other in the back.

    ReplyDelete
  101. And, once again, the fastest hour in television is o-v-e-r. :(
    Back to my blue fog.

    ReplyDelete
  102. What's happening??? I want to see this! Dang!!! Waaaaaa

    ReplyDelete
  103. I wonder if Coach didn't screw himself a little. Brandon is totally loyal to him, but so was Edna. He maybe should have offered up Princess Albert as an alternative then he'd have a guaranteed trip to the final 3. As things stand now, while they appear to be somewhat loyal to Coach, he let one of his most loyal allies go.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Why couldn't it have been Brandon. He's like nails on a chalkboard.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Okay, everyone. See you Sunday.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Honestly, I kind of like this final 5. I mean not as people. But I think they played a good game and they played pretty honorably. I could live with any of them winning although I prefer Sophie and Coach. Brandon is a bit of a train wreck, Rick and Albert seem to be floaters.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Thanks Jackie.
See you guys next week :(
Penny, I sent a FB add request.
Becky, my TX trip is moved until 2/11.

    ReplyDelete
  108. So long to my pool girl, Edna! I have little doubt she will join the jury next week. Well it's adios for this week.

It was a fast hour, Petals. I spent most of it catching up and then catching up again. Oh, the joys of puppy parenting. :)

    ReplyDelete
  109. Forgive my multiple silly posts, Ms J.
I am in a blue fog for the past week or so, no sleep, no anything.
    Just numb.
This is an outlet, thanks for letting me play.
    :(
    be glad when this passes.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I do not understand why they don't vote the alumna contestants out asap when they get to the island and just play. I for one hope neither Ozzie or Coach make it to the finals, but it appears that at least one of them will.
