Survivor South Pacific 12/14 Episode Blog Party

Survivor South Pacific

Survivors ready? It's almost time for the show to start here on the East Coast. As it airs, I'll be updating this post with major events. But the real fun and active discussion can be found in the blog party comments. Stop on in and share your thoughts on the show!

Tonight's penultimate episode will pit Edna against Ozzy in the Redemption Island duel -- it would be a hoot if she beat him, wouldn't it? Plus, we'll know who's going into the battle to name the sole survivor (on Sunday night).

Survivors ready?

Redemption duel time -- slide puzzle, hatchet to release a rope, more puzzle. Shocker -- Ozzy wins again. Bye-bye, Edna.

Albert wants Sophie out to better his own chances with the jury. Coach is leaning towards Brandon. Heck, they should shock him and vote COACH off this time! Or not. I am actually liking him which wasn't possible in his two prior seasons.

Immunity challenge time -- climbing, puzzles, releasing bags, raising flag, Nothing new. The winner also gets pizza. Oh geez. Brandon won immunity. He chose Rick to join him saying he's playing wuth his heart as per is father's advice and it's strategy.

At tribal, Brandon gives his immunity necklace to Albert. @@

Time to tally the votes:
Brandon
Sophie
Brandon
Sophie
BRANDON!!

Woohoo, the zealot is voted out! He'll go to Redemption to face Ozzy.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Hey Joe and Petals...

I'm drinking my Riesling again. I'm stocked up for the holidays, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hey Muffin!
Things are good today. I'm over my melancholy, for the most part. xoxox

    ReplyDelete
  5. I bet Rick leaves tonight...I already know who wins immunity, but I wont say.

    ReplyDelete
  6. What's the drinking word tonight? Down to five so it should get pretty interesting!

    ReplyDelete
  7. now that's odd. Can that be him talking about Sophie? Or are they toying with us? Why would Albert vote off the one person who's most loyal to him?!?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Immunity seems to work, for a word.
or we can go with a name, like anytime someone says Brendan or Rick or whatever..

Joe - pick a drinking word for us?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Just to let folks know -- Penny (Nickelpeed) has to work tonight and is sorry she can't join us!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Hey everyone! Clue word?

    ReplyDelete
  11. A new Wednesday record. Joey made it until 8:04. My quest to turn him into a fan has failed miserably... sigh!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I think they did just say Sophie was next...I hope not.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hey Becky! Joe is supposed to pick a good word...

    ReplyDelete
  14. Aw, will miss Penny tonight. Any thoughts on the word? I say immunity is a safe bet!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Penny, we miss will you tonight. Thank goodness CBS isn't in the black out by Time Warner.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Well, immunity works for me! ***DRINK***

    ReplyDelete
  17. oh...just saw what Jackie wrote. Bummer.

    ReplyDelete
  18. GO OZZY! Vamos, baby!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. My poor Edna... like a lamb being led to slaughter! Hope she makes it interesting, lol. Sorry Petals! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  20. c'mon Edna! LOL. Next to Cochran, she'd be the person least likely to beat Ozzy.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Okay, Petals, nail biting time.

    ReplyDelete
  22. s'ok, you guys can be against Ozzy. It's all fun.

(but my boyfriend is a force with which to be reckoned!)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Go girl... a million riding on it!

    ReplyDelete
  24. ooohh...."loyalty"

    OK, thanks Joe.

    ReplyDelete
  25. C'MON OZZY! I'm with you, baby!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have decided, I am voting for Ozzie for America's player.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Dang, that means the Stache will win it, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  28. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    *dancing*

    THAT's what I'm talkin about!

    ReplyDelete
  29. GOOD! The previews made it look like Edna won.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'll drink to loyalty. Good word!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Coach doesn't look as skeletor skinny this season. Good for him.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Has anyone else checked out Ponderosa?

    ReplyDelete
  33. aww, thanks Becky, he really deserves it. He hasnt backstabbed or been mean to anyone...he wins & wins & wins. He has a right to have an attitude, the man is fierce!

    ReplyDelete
  34. almost time for the obligatory 3 minutes of Ozzy bragging on Ozzy....

    ReplyDelete
  35. That wasn't a typo, lol. What's her name on All-Stars Big Brother was tagged as skeletor. Coach looked like it from his other seasons.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hey Delee.
    MOnty - LOL @ skeletor
Becky - no, what is going on over at the loveshack?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Becky,
I've been watching Ponderosa, but I missed Cochran's welcome videos. I'll have to catch up on that.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Joe - come on. How can you not love Ozzy? He is a great player, man. If you won challenge after challenge, wouldn't you have a little swagger?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Dang, how did we miss honor and integrity?

    ReplyDelete
  40. should have used "honor" and "integrity" as well as "loyalty"

    ReplyDelete
  41. Monty & Joe - they rarely use those words until tonight. LOL

    *drinking anyway*

    ReplyDelete
  42. WHOO - LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT

    "Ozzy's Pleasure Dome"

    omg, classic

    ReplyDelete
  43. rewinding, gotta hear that again.

    ReplyDelete
  44. My fantasy vacation destination:
    Ozzy's Pleasure Dome
    *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  45. What was fun about Ponderosa was watching Conkcran arrive. No one even met him when he arrived. And he thought all would be forgiven.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Take back what I said, Coach is really skinny again. His face is hiding it more though.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Jackie - Sophie is your pool girl, right? I hope she makes it to the final.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yeah, that's the shi**y thing about Ponderosa. When they shun the new arrival, it's so juvenile. Amazing how grown adults can't accept the fact that they 'got - got'!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yes, Sophie is my blog pool person. Plus, I think she's playing a decent game.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Sophie is cool. I hope she is 1st runner-up.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I say Brandon is in the best physical shape. This could be his immunity. UGH

    ReplyDelete
  52. oooo...lots of time for plotting and scheming after the challenge

    ReplyDelete
  53. lmao. that'll make it interesting...

    ReplyDelete
  54. Good for Rick. He gets to eat, but that could be his ticket home to Redemption!

    ReplyDelete
  55. that's weird. I've hardly seen Brandon talk to Cowboy. Wonder why he picked him

    ReplyDelete
  56. honestly, I'd be happy with any of the remaining winning. I'd prefer Coach or Sophie because I think they played the best game. But I could live with any of them.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Monty, I think you are correct about the ticket to RI for Rick.

I would NOT want the "honor" of being chosen to eat.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'd like to see Coach, Rick or Sophie win it. Not so much Brandon, Albert or Ozzy!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Brandon will bust this out at tribal. Drinky time!

    ReplyDelete
  60. that's odd. I thought Sophie was buddies with Albert, at least a little. They seem to always be together.

    ReplyDelete
  61. do you think Sophie did that on purpose? She had to know Brandon would spill it.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Sophie is hard to read...I know how tonight ends...but Hm

    ReplyDelete
  63. Brandon, you are the ONLY wild card!

    ReplyDelete
  64. oooooo.....Jeff teased last week that this would be the best tribal council of the season. I bet he does give him the necklace and they vote him out!!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. there is a condom called "pleasure dome".
    *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  66. that's weird. I hear Brandon saying not me and not Albert, so who does he want to go? Rick? Sophie?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Brendan treated Rick like a cheap date: took him on a pizza date, then forked him at the end of the night.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Brandon is totally bonkers!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Because God has nothing better to do than play Survivor with Coach & Brendan

    ReplyDelete
  70. His Dad & Uncle are going to be pissed at Brandon. Gonna be a tough Christmas at the Hantz household.

    ReplyDelete
  71. gonna check-out the Ponderosa after tonight's show

    ReplyDelete
  72. before the vote, what a tool

    ReplyDelete
  73. such a mis-use of prayer just smacks so sacreligious to me.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Did he say "when I was in the gay scene"???

    ReplyDelete
  75. Lmao... this is a GREAT tribal!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Does anyone believe Coach was told by God to vote out Brandon?

    ReplyDelete
  77. that's weird out of Albert. If he thought that Brandon, Coach and Albert were solid then Albert was in no danger. If Albert was in danger then so is Brandon. I'm disappointed that Jeff let Albert get away with that little dissemination.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Howdy everyone!! Hope there is something left to drink this late in the show!! I really need to get off work earlier!

    SueGee on the left coast

    ReplyDelete
  79. of course if Brandon comes back from Redemption Island it is going to be VERRY exciting!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Gang scene... and he's G O N E!

    ReplyDelete
  81. you've got to wonder about CBS sending Brandon out there with all his demons.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Hey Sue! Have a coconut daquiri!

    Rick is leaving, not Brendan.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Joe - Brendan is good TV, demons or disorders, who cares.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Some deserve to go and Brandon was one of em! When will these players learn to hang on to the INecklace and to play the IIdol?

    ReplyDelete
  85. Thanks Petals I really need one!!

Can't wait to watch this show later!!

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  86. oh no, my spoiler is wrong!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Honestly, I can believe Coach believes God wanted him to vote out Brandon. Lot of ways to read Brandon's move. After all, he made it possible to vote him out in a rather unnecessary gesture. (If Albert, Brandon and Coach were solid, Albert was safe.) You've got to figure it is kind of tough at this point for most of them. They've been a solid 5 since day 1 or 2. No good option. If Coach prays on who to send home...what's the answer?

    ReplyDelete
  88. Rick is my pool guy!

    I need another drink LOL

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  89. OMG.
    OMG.
He doesnt deserve to go to the Pleasure Dome. :(

I hope Ozzy wipes the floor with him.

    ReplyDelete
  90. oooo!! I can't wait for Sunday!! Will bring lots of food to make up for missing all these parties!!

    SueGee on the Left Coast

    ReplyDelete
  91. I think if Brandon had any common sense at all he would NOT vote for Coach if he makes it to the finals.

I DO NOT believe that Coach is sincere about his "beliefs". He reminds me of what the Bible says about people standing on the corner beating their chest so people will think they are more holy that others.

I do not like him at all. I think Brandon is a misguided really screwed up person. And Joe I am with you that Poppa and Uncle will make Christmas miserable for him.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Petals, I'm not saying that watching someone come apart at the seams isn't good television. It's the morality of it that I wonder about. You could really do long-term damage to someone who is psychologically fragile by sending them out there.

By the way, Petals, my spoiler was right! LOL. And you aren't going to like what it said about next week!

    ReplyDelete
  93. SueGee, plenty of Riesling and Petals brought the liquor, lol. Help yourself. I think Brandon was a pure Dumbass for giving up immunity and deserved to be voted out. This God and Survivor vibe is creeping me out this season. Yes, I'm sure God has more important things to handle and not a reality show for a million dollars!

    ReplyDelete
  94. My spoiler had Rick leaving.
Brendan cant beat Ozzy at anything, can he?
    grrrr....

    "Ozzy's Pleasure Dome"

    (still loving that alot)

    ReplyDelete
  95. Uhm, Joe? Please send me the libnk of your spoiler.

    NOW!

    xoxo

    ReplyDelete
  96. Sue - yes, dig in to the alcomahol
And the best part of the show was "Ozzy's Pleasure Dome"

We need to have a huge party next week. Food, drinks, PARTY!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Actually, I think Coach is as sincere as any Christian. It would be pretty hard to fake it out there 24/7 for 6 weeks. But there are many Christians who wear their beliefs like some kind of badge and they often come across as insincere to people who don't wear their beliefs in the same manner.

You can see it in Petals comment that "God has better things to do..." To many Christians, God is behind everything. He's God, he doesn't have to choose channels on the remote, he watches them all all the time. To me (and apparently Petals) praying to win a game seems a bit untoward. To Evangelicals, you pray on or for EVERYTHING.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Petals, you need to bring the alcomahol on Sunday night! No more Wednesday night parties at the Jackie Pool :(

I'll see everyone late on Sunday night. I never get home before nine. Sad :(

    ReplyDelete
  99. My muffin (Joe) has it right regarding my feeling toward prayer. I pray for direction, but not for a name to write on a challenge show.
And of course - I will stock the bar with alcomahol for Sunday!
    Thanks Jackie!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  100. I think it trivializes the divine to apply it to reality television. Seriously folks. God doesn't "choose sides" even in wars. Certainly not in game and football. Anyone remember the Holocaust? If God had been "directing" Brandon he would surely have suggested he not be so impulsive to show off his own goodness by giving away his immunity BEFORE listening to the discussion and learning he was in deep doo doo himself. If he has listened, and trusted his own judgement, he might have reconsidered taking that necklace off his own neck....

    ReplyDelete
  101. Ozzy deserves to win Survivor this year. Love the Pleasure Dome. Sophie was very smart in her analysis.

    ReplyDelete
  102. to anon

I'm as uncomfortable with you asserting that you know what God does or doesn't do as I am with people praying to win money.
