The Amazing Race 20 Blog Party - 03/11/12

Wow. We must be going for a record with the show starting on time once again here on the East Coast! Once it starts, I'll update this entry with the major events. However, the real fun is in the comments area. Please jump on in and share your thoughts on the teams, locations and challenges!

I do have a request, though. I received comments from some folks offended by some of the language and crudeness of comments on the recent Survivor episode. I have to say that I agree with them. I've always tried to keep this blog PG-rated and some of the name-calling of castaways (or a particular castaway) have gone far beyond that. Please stop. I'd rather this place remain fun for all and there's no need to be really, really crude. Merci!

The teams are heading to Italy!

The Border dudes were first to the Fast Forward clue. The Roadblock has a team member rappelling down a scary distance for a clue. Ford Focus product placement.

The Border agents made their second first place showing, winning $5,000 each.

Rachel and Brendon are fighting. Why am I not surprised?

The Detour is Clean Statue or Name That Salami. The latter has them naming 14 salamis, the first definitely sounds easier!

2. Rachel and Dave
3. Joey Fitness and Danny
4. Vanessa and Ralph
5. Nary and Jamie
6. Brendon and Rachel
7. Kerry and Staci
8. Kentucky ... Bopper and Mark ...  the Border Agents are splitting their winnings with them! And it's non-elimination! They're still in it! I'd rather watch these two than Brenchel.

  2. Hey, Becky. How is everything?

  3. Yikes, sorry Jackie. I apologize for going over the line Thursday.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'm thinking we're due for a non-elimination leg.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Jackie, okay. It could be worse. My son was in a wreck and broke his leg. But he is alive! The idiot child bought a motorcycle.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I think so too.... about the non-elim leg. Petals, I have no idea what you are talking about and I was here ... well, I was here Wed. I probably went over the line then too. But Co Co drove me to it.

  7. Glad he is on the mend Becky! Boys love motorcycles, but motorcycles don't return the sentiment.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I apologize for some of my remarks if they upset anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Yeah Becky - that person did drive all of us to it. He is ridiculously offensive.
I think I can't use the M word for him anymore. It just seemed to fit him, LOL.

My team is still in there! C'Mon guys!

  10. Becky - I don't think it was your comments. So sorry to hear about your son's motorcycle accident. Bikes can be fun, but they can mess you up too!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I am usually not as ugly in my remarks, but he brought out my very unpleasant side.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Good evening ladies & gents. Can't stick around - dinner is about to come out of the oven...Sunday chicken and stuffing!

  13. Most men when they hit midlife buy a sports car! I preached against motorcycles all my life, but I can't control what my kids do now.

  14. The drinking word has to be a Rachael thing tonight from the previews

  19. Did she just say, "You know how much that nose cost?"

    ReplyDelete
  20. It is so funny, the twangy music they play when they show the KY team, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  21. Leave it to Rachel and Brendan to think that the problem can be solved by "putting something in a hole", LMAO!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I guess that's why they call them educated fools, Brendon?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Uh oh, so many of these couples are mad at each other. Hey, Brendon - Just because you think you are smart, doesn't make you really smart!!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Penny, you are lucky they let you do it. We have to have our vet do it. They have to restrain Maggie.

Oh, boy, Brenchal are fighting again.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Penny, you are lucky they let you do it. We have to have our vet do it. They have to restrain Maggie.

Oh, boy, Brenchal are fighting again.

    ReplyDelete
  26. LOL. It seems so staged, the Benchel spats. To quote Jackie: @@

    ReplyDelete
  27. Becky, my husband is a big guy. He just about has to sit on Sarah for me to clip her nails. She almost bit him today. Trey is small, he didn't have much of a choice. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  28. Brenchel fussing is a given. But I hate to see the pilot and his wife get into it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. At least Brenchel is consistent on the way they act; they behave EXACTLY the same way they did on Big Brother!!
Shoot, this is really them, I was hoping they were "acting" before.......LOL yeah right!!

    Janice/GA

  30. I'm surprised that Brenchel are so dense they can't figure out that the picture on the coin is a place they need to go!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Waaaaaaa, waaaaaaa. She never, never stops!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh, boy, it's tear times. Brendon will apologize to her, wait and see.

    ReplyDelete
  33. If Brendan thinks this is a strain on their relationship, they'd better not have a baby!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Okay, I had to go finish supper. How did the other team get there so fast.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Go Rachel and Dave

I would NOT want to do the salami.

I would have indigestion all day!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh, Rachael, hush up! Stop whining.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The tearless cry.... egads! WHHAHHHHHHH

    ReplyDelete
  38. We couldn't be so lucky as for her to actually step in front of a car!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Becky - The border agents had the fast forward.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Maybe Brenchel will quit!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Rachel in full meltdown mode. How many times did she meltdown on two season of Big Brother?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thanks, Jackie. I know a lot of people don't like them, but I give them some slack because of the hard job that border patrol has to do.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I am pulling for them and the military guy/wife.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Janice? Where have you been LOL

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  45. Who's going home???

Boy the girl's statue looked nice.

    ReplyDelete
  46. "Dysfunction Junction, what's your function?"

    ReplyDelete
  47. I have decided they are doing this just to garner more camera time. No one is this stupid... even if they can't get it, you don't just stop... you keep trying...

    ReplyDelete
  48. I bet it's a non elimination.

    ReplyDelete
  49. How many drinks do I need to catch up tonight??

    SueGee on the LeftCoast

    ReplyDelete
  50. Dang, are Kentucky the last ones???

Yes! Hope it's a non elimination

    ReplyDelete
  51. Sue,
I usually have to record TAR and watch it later because Mark doesn't want to watch Brenchel (he refuses) BUT he went to bed early tonight so I got to watch it and follow the blog!!
    YEAH!!

    Janice/GA

  53. Meb, you are too generous. I think being THAT stupid is absolutely possible, LOL!
    That's my team!!

OMG, I am crying! I love those guys!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Way opposite! Geesh, these guys are so nice.

    ReplyDelete
  60. And I never get to watch TAR or BB or Survivor until 2 hours after these chats are over LOL

    Sue

    ReplyDelete
  61. Oh I'm so glad the country boys (KY boys) aren't eliminated from the race!! I just love them and that was so nice of the Border Patrol to give them that money!! Amazing gesture of kindness!!

    Janice/GA
