Survivor: Caramoan - Fans vs. Favorites - May 8 Blog Party

Survivor: Caramoan photo SCaramoanJackie_zpsf4f14b87.gif

Come one, come all ... we're in the final stretch of the season. The big finale is this Sunday evening from 8pm-11pm. Let's hope it starts on time. PLEASE! Tonight's episode, according to the promos, has the loved ones coming. That tends not to be my personal favorite each season, but it can sometimes be interesting. Supposedly, two loved ones will come for either each castaway or at least one castaway. Ho-hum.

I don't believe I've ever rooted for a returning player to win a season unless it's been ALL returning players. This season I'd really enjoy a Cochran win. I had hoped I'd be cheering on the really local player, Eddie. Although he's fairly easy on the eyes, he doesn't rock my socks. Give me Cochran!

As the show airs, I'll update this page with the major happenings. So, you should refresh it now and then to get the latest. But the real party is always in the comments area! Come join us for the fun!

Their treemail came from Sprint with video messages from home.

At the Reward Challenge setting, the loved ones are brought out in person. They will work with them on the Reward Challenge which consists of, spinning, building rails on a frame and tossing bolos (sp?) -- balls separated by ropes -- on the rail "ladder" they built.

Brenda and her father win Reward -- a floating backyard barbeque -- she invites Dawn and her husband. Uh-oh. Jeff says other loved ones are there. Brenda can choose one other castaway and loved one or she can give up her loved one (and Dawn's) and the barbeque. Brenda gives it to the others.

Dawn breaks down more.

Immunity Challenge has them standing on a ledge over water with their hands in back of them, connected to a winch which lowers them more towards the water. Gah! Cochran is out first! Eddie, then Erik out. Only the women remain. Sherry out. Dawn wants to deal with Brenda, but Brenda's a no-go. But she falls into the water and Dawn actually wins Immunity for the first time!

Brenda thinks it's all good. However, it just might be the kiss of death for her game. While Dawn talked about ousting Eddie, Cochran and others know what a big threat Brenda is for the win.

Tribal Council time! Sherri votes Brenda. Brenda votes Eddie. Those were the only shown votes.

The tally: Eddie, Eddie, Erik, Brenda, Brenda, Brenda.

The tribe has spoken, Brenda. She cries. It hurts.

But how can she blame them? Really.

  3. No no...they need to stop talking about him!

  4. Sharon, that's probably a sign it won't be Cochran tonight :)))

  9. Hey Becky and Joe. The music this week is sort of creepy!

  10. Hi All! I guess I'll go with Cochran too. After all he is my pool guy.

And the 3 amigos have fell apart.

  11. Hey Monty and Joe. How much longer for school, Joe?

  12. I am voting for Cochran for America's player. I really like Malcolm, but I love Cochran this year.

If he goes to the final three then I may vote for Malcolm, but don't hold me to it.

  14. Kind of means nothing when Dawn cries...LOL

    ReplyDelete
  15. And they all cried! Pass me a beer, please. DRINK!!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh, boy. Cochran won't do well, I am afraid.

I bet they get to invite one other person.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Do they have to spin around holding on to it? Why couldn't they just stand still and spin that way?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi Ed... yeah, I'm rooting for Cochran too!

    ReplyDelete
  19. um....that's pretty cruel

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well, this is where you give it away.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Nice twist. Not only would Brenda have to sacrifice her reward, she would end up screwing Dawn also!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Sharon, I agree that is it cruel. If Brenda chooses to keep it I think it will cost her four votes.

If she keeps it then she needs the II.

    ReplyDelete
  23. She'll probably do it for favor!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hey Monty! Bromance avatar :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Just popped in to say HI GUYS! I miss you, but I'm too tired to party.
    I am a blubbering mess!!!

    I love/hate the family episodes .

    *sob*

  26. She had to do it. Jury votes mean everything in this game... if she makes it to the end.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think that will get her to the finals.

    ReplyDelete
  28. She won..& then she lost...maybe she'll win some votes?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Crap, I forgot about the drinking game. Catching up from all of Dawn's crying.

    CHEERS

  30. extra mean parking the boat right off the beach...

  31. Man that's cruel for those two!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lol, Ed. Don't you love it :)))

    Hey Petals!

    ReplyDelete
  33. A little lack of generosity there, Dawn

    ReplyDelete
  34. For a bunch of returnees, they aren't very good at finding food.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Really wish Cochran and Brenda weren't targeting each other....

    ReplyDelete
  36. The ultimate cruelty would be if they voted Brenda off tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Joe, I agree with both your statements. Horrible of Survivor to park right off shore.

And they are lousy at finding food.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I like Brenda. She is one tough little girl. But I like Cochran better.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm with you Becky, but if I think I'd be happiest if one of them won, which would only be likely if they both go to the end!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Like this challenge. Someone lightweight should win it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. ~~~SPLASH~~~

  47. It MIGHT be "all good" Brenda...you might have sealed your fate though.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Will it be the obvious...Eddie...or will they surprise us??

    ReplyDelete
  49. Monty, it would be cruel. But Brenda is tough. She could go all the way to the end.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Thanks Monte - a sub would be lovely!! And I won't even try to catch up on the drinking game ROFL

    SueGee

  51. Hi all. Quick peek, then back to work. Bet Dawn targets Brenda tonight for giving reward up to others. I'll eek in later. Hope all of you are doing well.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Ed, I agree with Becky. Brenda should go tonight, but Eddie is so easy.

    ReplyDelete
  53. What kind of a creature was that in the tree?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Andrea & Eddie....hhhmmm??

    ReplyDelete
  55. Reynold shaved his porn stache off

    ReplyDelete
  56. I need some anti-anxiety meds!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Easy Eddie might have to change his name to Lucky!

    ReplyDelete
  58. For two guys that started out so cocky, both Eddie and Reynold changed in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  59. It might hurt, Brenda... but it was SMART!

    ReplyDelete
  60. It was cruel, but it was a smart move.

    ReplyDelete
  61. That is a little cold. This is the part of Survivor I hate. When there is no loyalty left and no honesty.

Say what you will about Russell Hantz, he was 100% loyal to his girls. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  62. Next episode will be Dawn in tears for hurting Brenda.

    ReplyDelete
  63. unless Dawn voted for Erik?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Might've been a smart move, but that was COLD!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I think that if Brenda hadn't told Dawn that she wanted to get rid of Cochran then Dawn wouldn't have flipped.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Frankly, judging by the reaction of the jury, I don't think Brenda was a shoe-in with that jury. In fact, Eddie is probably a more likely winner. They might regret keeping him around. The jury is going to be filled with either former Eddie allies or people that were blind-sided by the remaining returnees.

The only one I can't see getting any votes in a finale is Sherri. She was a coat tail rider.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I imagine Eddie voted for Eric.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I really admire Brenda's gameplay. But I would have made that move myself. She can win challenges. She can win the million.

It's more shocking Sherri is still in the game and Dawn actually won Immunity.

    ReplyDelete
  69. *wink* Becky

Dawn didn't look too upset at having just did that. I think they all knew it was a must vote!

    ReplyDelete
  70. oh no! not a snake bite taking someone out?

    ReplyDelete
  71. See you guys Sunday. Thanks, Jackie.

    ReplyDelete
  72. You were right Becky -- I'm surprised Cochran didn't bring Eddie in on the Brenda vote to ensure it.

    ReplyDelete
  73. OMG. I HATE COCHRAN & DAWN!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Thanks for hosting Jackie. See everyone Sunday.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I was crying right along with Brenda. You could see Jeff was pissed, his face before he said her name.

    ReplyDelete
  76. If Cochran wins immunity he will take Sherri and Dawn to the end.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Agree on all counts, Jackie.

I guess we'll all be back on Sunday. See everyone then. Thanks for hosting us, Jackie!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Cold-hearted game but I guess that's what it takes!

    Nite All!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Thank you for stopping by, everyone!

Ohhh ... Criminal Minds began with Donovan's 'Sunshine Superman.' I always loved that song!
