Big Brother 15: Nominations Show Blog Party - August 18

One bad thing about the live feeds is that we'll have no surprises with this one. Oh, well. As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news!

As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please keep things to a PG level there and remember I don't necessarily endorse any rumors or speculations that I don't personally post. It's just entertainment for me. It's not like I even want to know these hamsters! I'd rather just mock them and critique their gameplay instead. Pull up the comfy chair and let's get this party started!

Ah, they're showing the Amanda hiding behind the trash can crying because she "can't win anything."

SO much filler. We see that Aaryn wants to nom Spencer and Elissa, but that's not what Amanda wants. We see her HoH room. Amanda wants Helen and Elissa up with Helen the target. But she wants Helen to think Elissa is the target. Elissa's playing right into that by making Helen angry when she says she will walk out of jury.

Have/Have Not Comp -- GM doesn't want to be on the same team as Amanda because she's on a losing streak. They have to enter a black box with cobwebs and goo, retrieve a key. GM, Amanda, Helen and Elissa are the Have Nots.

Nominations time -- Key order is: GinaMarie, Spencer, Amanda, McCrae, Andy. Elissa and Helen are on the block. Power-duo who will come after her power-duo. Hmm.

  3. Hi Penny, Jackie, and everyone else who shows up.

    I sure hope Thurs' return of the evicted person stirs things up; I'm rather bored with the predictability of these folks.

  4. I DESPISE ANDY.

  8. You've got to be kidding????

    ReplyDelete
  9. Anon, tell us how you really feel.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Helen is going to be shocked at how naive she has been when she finds out.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Late because I've been grilling brats with peppers and onions. Kraut and mustard on the side. Help yourselves.

    ~~~SPLASH~~~
  12. Whats going on with Aaryn's eyebrows? hehe
  13. Andy cries after every eviction, he is so fake.
  14. How much do I dislike Mcranda. A lot! Jackie, thanks for hosting us again.
  15. Sliding a brat to Andrea.
  16. Andy is a creep! How can these people sell their soul for $500?
    ReplyDelete
  17. What's our drinking word tonight?
    ReplyDelete
  18. Many thanks Monty. Hey there Becky!
    ReplyDelete
  19. If we want to be honest about being a creep - Spencer ills the bill in so many ways!
    ReplyDelete
  20. Anon 8:12, Evel Dick posted the most hilarious photo of Aaryn's eyebrows. Let me go get it and will link here.
    Who wore it better, lol
  21. Okay, the names just do NOT match. LOL
    ReplyDelete
  22. Andrea, I agree about Spencer.
    ReplyDelete
  23. How about drinking to Elissa's whine...............
    DRINK
    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm late but I'finally made it
    ReplyDelete
  25. I can understand how she feels. Aaryn, GM, and Amanda really are not good people. However, I can see Helen's point, too. I just wish Helen was not so blind to the fact that SHE is the target. How can you NOT think that when you are a strategically strong player? She's too smart for her own good.
    ReplyDelete
  26. Actually tears would be a good drinking strategy tonight.
    ReplyDelete
  27. Helen, put a cork in it!
    ReplyDelete
  28. My Hubby's response to Helen's tears is GOd I think I may Puke! LOL
    ReplyDelete
  29. Helen is still crying, do we still need to drink more?
    ReplyDelete
  30. Monty, I rolled when I saw the pictures. So far, it's 100% vote that the dog is winning.
    ReplyDelete
  31. Walk out the door! It's a trap!
  32. I wonder how does Rachel feel about Elissa's gameplay? People might not have liked Rachel, but she played the game when she had to. These people crying every week about how much they miss their families,didn't they know that before they signed up for the show, I say send Helen home to be with her family, I think she is rally crying because she know shes going home.
    ReplyDelete
  33. Dang, my bottle is empty. Going to the bar... anyone want anything while I'm there?
    ReplyDelete
  34. I would love to B-slap Amanda! Am I the only one who wants to reach through the TV and pop her one?
    ReplyDelete
  35. That's not really true about Elissa. They can't see what they are like. And, Andy, really? Nobody wants to make it to the jury...it means you lost.
    And, Aaryn and GM, you two better look at yourselves. I can not wait until they find out they do not have jobs. Such pieces of work. Amanda....grrrr.
    And, of course, Helen, Elissa has no plans to go to the jury...she started out WANTING to win. And, you want her to help these other women to the top...WHY?
    ReplyDelete
  36. Thank you, Amanda...one of the FEW laughs this entire season.
    ReplyDelete
  37. Becky I'm with you I would if I could!
    ReplyDelete
  38. Lol, I know Becky. But let's stipulate that the dog on the 'right' is the winner. Hehehehe
    ReplyDelete
  39. No Becky, I believe you have tons of company!
    ReplyDelete
  40. But JimmyB is clearly not on the slap Amanda through the tv team.
    ReplyDelete
  41. I used to have a sense of Humor then I watched BB15 and now everything pisses me off
    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm not a woman, so I don't know. But is it possible that Aryan's eyebrows need bleaching again and so she's just gone progressively darker
    ReplyDelete
  43. Can't wait to watch this. I laughed till I cried listening to Andy, McCrae and Spencer talking about this comp.
    ReplyDelete
  44. Joe, I believe you have a point.
    ReplyDelete
  45. I wonder if Elissa is just that vanilla or if she is playing that way BECAUSE of the way Rachel played. I mean, Rachel had to play hard because Rachel constantly made herself a target. Do you think that made Elissa want to keep a low profile and stay out of trouble?
    ReplyDelete
  46. The key was right there all along, LOL
    ReplyDelete
  47. Is it inhumane to de-bark a dog? Momma's dog barks ALL the time. She has both hubby and I saying a word we never allowed to be used in our house -- "shut-up"!!! BTW, I'm kidding about de-barking him. Might choke him to death though.
    ReplyDelete
  48. Spencer was really lucky with that...
    ReplyDelete
  49. I do not like Amanda, Aaryn and GM. Aaryn ruined it for me in the beginning. Once she got rid of Howard and Candice, it was like she accomplished her goal of getting rid of them, so now she can be half way decent. She's still a racist. If one of them were still in there, she'd still be her racist self. I do not want her, GM or Amanda to win.
    ReplyDelete
  50. Becky, that is SO funny. I have thought the same thing about my Trey. Yap, yap, yap...all the time. But, no, I would never de-bark him, I do think it's inhumane. HOWEVER, yes, I've thought about it...LOL
    ReplyDelete
  51. DRINKING to Helen's cheerleading
    ReplyDelete
  52. Becky, how is your back feeling?
    ReplyDelete
  53. Hi Becky,
    Lots of people think it is inhumane to debark a dog. Others do not. Personally, I would never do it because it is major surgery to prevent a behavior that can usually be trained out of them. There's also some feeling that debarking makes them more aggressive as they go straight to action without warning.
    ReplyDelete
  54. Yeah nickel. I think that's my issue if Howard or Candace were still in the house, the three of them would still evil. Because they are gone, they seem almost pleasant (well not Amanda - don't think it's possible for her).
    ReplyDelete
  55. GM is a riot - they only beat us by 4 minutes. Like it was a split second decision.
    ReplyDelete
  56. FULL DISCLOSURE: Since I'm looking at maybe a 3rd knee surgery on poor Keira, I'm totally opposed to elective surgeries on animals. I mean, you can help a person to understand their pain but it is impossible to make an animal understand what they are suffering through.
    I also have some serious reservations about universal spay/neuter these days.
    ReplyDelete
  57. Yes, Joe, how is your pup!???
    ReplyDelete
  58. I didn't know you could de-bark a dog.
    So...Can you de-poop a dog?
    ReplyDelete
  59. Lol, few of them are actually pleasant.
    ReplyDelete
  60. Momma's dog is a male. If it was anyone elses dog I would drop kick it across the room
    He is better than he was at her house. At least we have a doggy door so he can go out to the bathroom rather than lifting a leg on the furniture.
    Okay, back to the game. I thought this was a funny challange. Hate that Helen is a have not, but glad that Amanda is.
    ReplyDelete
  61. Ah, JimmyB. I know a little pup that I'd like to de-poop right now. ;-)
    ReplyDelete
  62. Heck, I didn't want Mike Boogie to win because he creeped me out. BB is a game in which "nice people" can be a detriment.
    ReplyDelete
  63. Very true Monty, very true. But the three of them took it to a whole different level.
    ReplyDelete
  64. Hi Lynn,
    I just posted a mini-dog update. The full story is: Keira's bones are now fully healed from the TPLO surgery. (YAY!) But she came up lame on Tuesday and might have injured a ligament or the meniscus. I'll find out more this week, but we may be looking at a third knee surgery. Less invasive than the TPLO, but it's thoroughly depressing for me and, I'm sure, for Keira if it comes to that.
    Hard to believe, but we've been doing this for 20 weeks now and are now looking at maybe 4 more.
    ReplyDelete
  65. Oh my, I will miss Gina-isms when she does leave.
    ReplyDelete
  66. Yes, GM. North & South Korea is like North & South Carolina.
    ReplyDelete
  67. I just had to stop by to comment on Aaryn's eyebrows! I get the color might be a result of not dying them but what's with the shape? They're like rounded, but the insides turn in and they're uneven. The dark color would be okay if they weren't shaped so crazy. It's almost like she shaved them and drew them back on with a black magic marker!
    ReplyDelete
  68. I hope it doesn't come to another surgery but your dog is very lucky to have you for her person
    ReplyDelete
  69. Wow Joe. That's a lot of work. Hope it goes well.
    ReplyDelete
  70. Oh, Helen. You have no idea.
    ReplyDelete
  71. I agree, Joe. My granddoggie, a chihuahua, had knee surgery. She's fine now. But it was blamed on her back yard breeding. She limped so bad, but now she's fine.
    Do they know what caused Keira's bad knees? I know it's part of being a Pyr, but she's young, right?
    My mini-doxie is not neutered; however, he likes to mark; and if he doesn't stop it, I will change my mind about neutering...lol
    ReplyDelete
  72. Good point about Dr. Will on the other thread, Jackie. Honestly, I've wondered how many women would call me sexist for complaining about Amanda's attitude. LOL. I mean there is this post-modern feminist belief that bitchiness is just "being a strong woman"! In fact, someone shared a facebook meme to that effect just today. I really think some of it is charisma and some of it is more shallow than that (who is pretty?!). I'm thinking specifically of Dr. Will and Jeff. Will was a total a$$ every minute he was in the house, but people found him charming and excused it. And Jeff was, at the very least, homophobic and a bit of a hot head but people liked him so they excused it.
    ReplyDelete
  73. Joe, sending good vibes your and Keira's way. Poor girl...
    ReplyDelete
  74. Hey, Joe. Have you considered acupuncture? It helped our Beagle who has degeneration of the vertebrae in the neck. And it has helped me two different time.
    Joe, are you aware that spay/neutering a dog/cat helps prevent cancer.
    Penny, my back is almost 100%. I have had no pain since Thurs.
    ReplyDelete
  75. Poor Kiera and poor Joe. Vet bills are expensive. Plus you hate to see them hurt.
    It is sort of a let down after reading the blogs from those who get the feeds.
    ReplyDelete
  76. Hi Nickel. Keira's actually a Newfoundland. About 1/2 of them have knee problems, even if well bred. It also turns out that spaying increases the risk of knee problems by at least 300% in one large study. Kind of why I feel guilty about it. I mean I debated back and forth on the spay and, in the end, the neuter nazis convinced me that you had to neuter for their health and that for a big dog it was risky to wait. Since then, I've discovered that it is not so clear for big dogs because of the risk of CCL rupture and some cancer risks. A partial hysterectomy would probably be better for them, but I couldn't find a vet who would do one.
    Interestingly, for those who care, turns out the Europeans don't universally spay/neuter and appear to have lower incidence of orthopedic issues. There was a big study of golden retrievers that just came out. 760 dogs: 380 spay/neutered and 380 intact. The spay/neutered dogs had an 8% incidence of CCL rupture. The intact dogs had ZERO ruptures.
    But there's no going back now. All I can do is try my best to get her all fixed up and pain free so she can get back to her old self. She was such a busy little girl and she hasn't been able to play with Willie for 20 weeks and has been on house rest most of that time.
  77. Amanda is really not strong...she's domineering. A true strong woman, who has something to prove to men, would never do some of the stuff she does...nor cry.
    I think most of these idiots are remaining loyal to Amanda because they truly believe they can win up against them.
    Do not trust anyone Helen.
    Thanks for hosting, Jackie.
    I'll be late Wednesday. I have my first ever acupuncture!!!
    ReplyDelete
  78. Joe, I hope she is okay. Thanks, Jackie. I appreciate you hosting. Sorry about getting off topic. Other than the funny challange it was just another boring day in the house.
    ReplyDelete
  79. Good luck Nickel. Can't wait to hear how it goes.
    ReplyDelete
  80. Thinking of you, Penny on Wed.
    ReplyDelete
  81. You know, Joe, don't know why I said Pyr because I knew she was a Newfie. Yes, more than half have problems.. Hopefully, she'll heal and get better. And, you are right about the spaying thing with the larger female breeds. It takes away a lot of important hormones they need.
    ReplyDelete
  82. Hi Becky,
    Spay/neuter helps with certain cancers (mammary cancers in females and testicular cancers in males) but it is also contra-indicated for osteosarcoma's. As a result, certain breeds are better served by not spaying/neutering. For example, if your dog breed is prone to Osteosarcomas but not mammary cancer, you are better off not spaying. Or, as in the case of Newfs, if your dog isn't particularly prone to cancers but has a huge risk of CCL rupture, you may well be better off not spaying/neutering.
    Because of the orthopedic issues, I think the bigger the dog the less helpful the spay/neuter might be. It's a dirty little veterinary secret because of the neuter nazis.
    My sister has a Newf that had bad hips at birth. First thing the orthopedist told her was to NOT neuter him because he would do much better with the hormones! But no one discusses the downside of spay/neuter when you are trying to decide. They just tell you the good points.
    ReplyDelete
  83. Will keep you Keira in my thoughts, Joe. Thanks again Jackie for hosting all of us. See you all on Wednesday if not before.
    ReplyDelete
  84. We know (and the hamsters don't) that someone will be coming back on Thursday. Now assuming that Helen is evicted this week, she will be eligible to come back. The question is, will the show let her see the farewell videos - you know the one in which witch Amanda brags that she is the mastermind behind Helen getting evicted. Could fire up someone for an HoH competition.
    ReplyDelete
  85. Thanks for coming by, all!
    ReplyDelete
  86. I feel that their is a difference between being a strong assertive woman or man and being an aggressive kick them when they are down woman or man.
    ReplyDelete
  87. Thanks Becky and Andrea!
    You are right about Europe in the neutering and spaying part. It's a lot different. But there are many areas who have dog problems like we have.
    ReplyDelete
  88. Will keep you in my thoughts as well, Penny. Good luck on the procedure.
    ReplyDelete
  89. I meant there is a differance
    ReplyDelete
  90. Thanks everyone. Thank you Jackie for hosting!!!
    ReplyDelete
  91. I still typed it wrong! LOL
    ReplyDelete
  92. Elissa is just phony. Nothing more, nothing less. Helen, she was never into you. All of you are just props to her, and the camera is all she cares about. And I really hate the pooch lips thing she does. Please don't let her win.
    ReplyDelete
  93. Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I'll kiss Keira on the nose for you!
    ReplyDelete
  94. BIG BROTHER THIS YEAR SHOULD ALLOW THE VIEWERS TO HAVE HALF THE VOTE THIS YEAR ON WHO SHOULD WIN....AND IT WOULDNT BE AARYN THE DOG FACE GIRL, AMANDA THE MAN, OR GM THE WANNA BE GANSTA THAT SHOULD BE A LADY....
