Big Brother 15: PoV Show Blog Party - August 14

Yeah, yeah ... I know we already know (at least those who follow the live feeds), but it should be fun to watch anyway. Or, at least the party here can be fun even if the show isn't! As it airs, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest!

As always, if you're here for the party, head to the comments!

The 3am alliance is formed -- Aaryn, Andy, Amanda and McCrae. Helen is finally getting worried about Andy. Amanda decides that McCrae should form a fake alliance with Helen and Andy. Helen falls for it.

Power of Veto players picked -- Helen, Elissa, Amanda. Andy chooses McCrae to host it. With show fans aboard, they've figured out it might be the numbers counting hold/fold comp. They decide that everyone but Helen will fold so she can last out and Jessie just can't win. Spencer isn't thrilled.

The veto comp is indeed the counting hold/fold done in movie theater style ... BB Movie BLOOD, BOLTS AND BANDAGES! They have to earn three movie tickets. The plan got whupped when Spencer decided to actually play. Andy wins it, making himself happy as he won't have to decide a third nominee and get more blood on his hands.

Veto meeting ... Andy doesn't use it. Spencer and Jessie remain on the block.

    Suggested word, "The House".

  14. One of the more original alliance names

    ReplyDelete
  15. What would make next week fun is if Spencer wins HOH and puts up Helen and Amanda.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Helen wanted to make Andy's nominations like she made Aaryn's. Didn't work out this time.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Drinking word, I thought of Nick, Jury and another one...I forgot.

Shoot. Help! I am drinking anyway.

(for the record, Andy is the only person worthy of "fan fave" and the prize, IMO)

    ReplyDelete
  18. The House as a drinking word? We'll all be schnookered by the next commercial.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Drama, Spencer would make a great HoH, because nobody knows what he'd do. I think you're right in that he'd nominate Amanda and Helen.

    ReplyDelete
  20. There have been more fake alliances in this game than real ones.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Where's Becky? I need advice on puppy sitting an 11wk old beagle. She's wearing me out!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I feel such apathy for all these people

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hi all!

I'd love to see Spencer get it and put up Helen and Amanda.

    ReplyDelete
  24. If Hellen/Amanda were up next week that backstabbing and nastiness would be priceless.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Silk, if you arrive, I want you to know the blog suggestion you made on the previous was wonderful.

Do they post every day? I almost wet my pants laughing. And it felt so good to laugh.

  26. If Helen and Amanda went up it would at least be interesting and not the boring crapola we have seen for weeks

    ReplyDelete
  27. IF you can get past your dislike of most of the HGs, this is actually a pretty good strategic group. The Amanda and Helen teams have actually played this quite smart, annihilating everyone else in the house. It's kind of nice to see people playing slowly and deliberately rather than getting antsy and blowing up their own game. Like remember Janelle's 1st season when the two power blocks just took each other out and let the floaters coast to the end.

It might prove to be a very interesting battle when they decide it is time to take on each other. I hope it doesn't just peter out.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Dramahold - yup, it would make Jessie's meltdown look a church service! lol

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hey Becky, check my last post, lol. I must have channeled you. ;-)

Helen and Amanda on the block would be BB gold.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I agree, Joe. I'm rather enjoying the strategy this season. I know that isn't a popular opinion, but that super alliance has been doing exactly what a super alliance should do. Control the house.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Monty - Becky is for shizzle your Beagle expert :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Elissa looks like she just walked in from the 70's

    ReplyDelete
  33. Becky - good one! "The House"

What is UP with these sheeple??

    ReplyDelete
  34. how stupid is Helen?

    ReplyDelete
  35. I guess I am not seeing group strategy. I have seen Helen and Amanda be strategic and the rest of the house follows their lead

    ReplyDelete
  36. That was idiotic to ask him if you think about it. Why would Spencer throw the veto when he's on the block? I mean to the point where Jessie is out, but after that... why would he???

    ReplyDelete
  37. Sometimes Helen is crafty and smart.
Other times, she can be dumb as a post.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm with you, Monty. I think most watchers just want people to vote their emotions. This group has been remarkably deliberate.

And it really isn't that big a group that's been running the house. You've got Amanda/McCrae/Andy vs. Helen/Elissa/late addition of Aryan. Seems like a big group now, but that's is really 5 (since Aryan was with Jeremy early) people running a house with 10-20 people. Quite an accomplishment.

    ReplyDelete
  39. The strategy for both sides is to go slowly - which is fine as LNG as they are controlling HOH.andy may be in the best positioned one side takes a fatal hit next week. He just slides to the one left standing.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Monty, how lucky. Puppy breath! What's up? First thing and most important, do NOT believe those eyes. They lie with no shame. They will tell you they are starving and have eaten in days. They will actually eat when they are not hungry.

Is it house trained? Petals, would you please send Monty my email address om a private message on Facebook?

  41. There have been more fake alliances in this game than real ones.

    ReplyDelete
  42. *long

    I hate auto correct

    ReplyDelete
  43. Becky, she definitely ISN'T house broken and has a bladder the size of a pea. Lots of accidents... ugh

    ReplyDelete
  44. I don't know how they keep track of whose in all those fake alliances, along with keeping track of the alliance names! It's crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  45. This is cracking me up.

    ReplyDelete
  46. lynn1, You're right in that it is Amanda and Helen leading their blocks. And, as I said, the core of the groups are small. But in past seasons, you often had a smallish solid group take on another smallish solid group with the result that both groups annihilated each other. The two groups here aren't really allied with each other. Helen knows Amanda is in her way and Amanda knows Helen is in her way. But they are smart enough not to move too soon.

You are also somewhat right in that I'm not sure what some of the other people think happens if they stick with Helen or Amanda till the end. But I'm not sure it is crazy for McCrae and/or Andy to think they can beat Amanda in a Final 2. Amanda has been flaky and made a few enemies. Elissa just doesn't seem to care about winning at this point. Aryan? I don't know.

But, let's assume Aryan wants to win and believes she can't beat Helen. She still can't take out Helen NOW. You've got to ride your group to the Final 3 or 4 and then hope you can win the key HOH at the end. That's why I think it is good strategy more than indifference.

People (maybe you) seem to think that if you want to win you need to take out Amanda like 5 people ago. But if Amanda is part of your core and you take her out, you probably leave right after her. Even if you are aligned with Amanda and want to take out Helen, it is suicide to do it when you still need Helen's support to run the house.

    ReplyDelete
  47. That's not a horrible plan, but they could have just let Spencer win.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Wth??? Elissa's dumb routine is worth another DRINK!

    ReplyDelete
  49. If they let Spencer win, he takes himself own ... And Andy doesn't want blood on his hands.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Once again, I'm in agreement with Joe. They should have let it be Spencer and he would have went along with the plan willingly. You just can't ask someone on the block to throw the comp. Otherwise, the plan was brilliant.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Monty - pace yourself, we still 20 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Aryan is kind of like Andy at this point. She's got an alliance (or agreement) with Helen, and she's aligned with with McManda too. And like Andy, she'll flip when someone falls.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Monty, please do contactg me. I was on the AOL Beagle Board and learned all kinds of tricks and things to do. Like if they wet a pee pad or owned the floor wipe the liquid up and then put it in a place in the yard that you want her to use. Put her on a leash and lead her to it. Suggested times a day.... every two-three hours. Their bladders are little. No more Off Topics from me.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Lol @ Drama. It's just so much fun to DRINK during the pool parties. I think I may be the lone drunk here tonight though. Who's my driver? Petals? :)))

    ReplyDelete
  55. Aaryn made horrible moves early but really got herself back,in the game. It's a survival strategy but its worked for her. And she does have connections to both sides. Next week could be crucial.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Oh the suspense is killingme

    ReplyDelete
  57. Why did she fold? It's the last question... DUH

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thanks, Becky. She's not my puppy, but I'm in charge of her during the day. Frustrating because my Joey (BT) was so easy to house break.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I guess my problem is that I don't find anyone I want to cheer for. I enjoy seeing people get knocked off when they aren't expecting it. with the exception of Judd getting backed doored, lately the evictions have been r more personal rather than inspired game play.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Beagles are notoriously hard to housebreak. Good luck, Monty!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Depends on how you look at it, Lynn. Certainly the Candace eviction was nasty and personal. But for the most part, all the evictions were of people not in the two alliances. They had to be weeded out. The floater strategy was/is totally ineffective this season for that reason.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I find it hard to believe that Helen has bought so much of this crap. I mean, she can't possibly give an ounce of credence to a McCrae alliance if she has even half a brain.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I am SO hoping for Spencer to win HOH tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Joe in NY - Macrae doesn't want Amanda to win because then he would HAVE to marry her.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Well it looks like Helen is toast. I can't believe she is falling for this.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I think most of these folks are suffering from something similar to a form of Stockholm syndrome. They are willing to believe anything one of the power brokers tells them

    ReplyDelete
  67. I think Helen out smarted herself this time. Thats what he gets, as much I dislike Amanda, Helen needs to go for being so STUPID, did she really think that he would turn on Amanda this early in the game, she's taking care of his needs, I bet he doesn't get that too much outside of this house, look how unsanitary he looks.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Helen was really freaking out that Andy was going to put her up and out.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Andy wusses out on back dooming Helen? I've lost what little respect I had for him.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I CAN'T STAND HOW RUDE AND ARROGANT AMANDA & MCCRAE ARE!!!! Who do they think they are? They ALWAYS have ANDY'S HOH BED!!!!!!
    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! PQ

    ReplyDelete
  71. Drama, I don't doubt McCrae wants to win. My only point is that Helen can't possibly trust the defection. I mean, even if McCrae really wanted to abandon Amanda, Helen can't let herself believe it because of the relationship between McCrae and Amanda.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I love Spencers words to Andy! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  73. I REALLY want Spencer to win HOH tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  74. And from an objective standpoint, McCrae has a better chance opposite Amanda than Helen.

    ReplyDelete
  75. ANdy doesn't even kick people out of his HOH bed. NO backbone. FOR ANYTHING let alone a big move. PQ

    ReplyDelete
  76. Well it looks like Helen is toast. I can't believe she is falling for this.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Well, that was fun folks. Thank you Jackie for hosting. Will see everyone tomorrow night.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Thanks Jackie. See all of you tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  79. PQ - Andy is the first HoH this season who actually kicks people out of his HoH room at night and won't share it.

    ReplyDelete
  80. IJoe - I thinkmHelen is treading carefully. Elissa really isn't a strong ally. Aaryn is sitting on the fence and we know where you get splinters when that happens. The odds are really working against Helen.

    ReplyDelete
  81. GREAT IDEA! I hope Spencer wins HOH, too!!!! PQ

    ReplyDelete
  82. Since Andy won HOH, he has not allowed anyone to sleep in his bed at night (don't know about the day though). Plus, he wouldn't give it up to the Bride & Groom last night either. Andy came right out and said said that he's too selfish to give it up. lol

    ReplyDelete
  83. Lynn -- I agree -- most have Stockholm syndrome and Helen and Amanda are holding them hostage!

    ReplyDelete
  84. G'NIGHT everyone. I'll work on my typing before tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  85. That is great, Jackie! I'm glad Andy does it at least at night. It just looks so weird the way he gives up his power seat/bed to Amanda & McCrae. Thanks for everything, Jackie! PQ

    ReplyDelete
  86. Thanks for hosting the party Jackie!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Thanks, Sharon! PQ

    ReplyDelete
  88. Jackie, thank you for hosting. See you tomorrow night.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I think the show tonight was heavily edited to make Helen look foolish and inept. I don't buy it for a minute. She may have come off looking that way tonight but it's because she has never or rarely confronted people.

I doubt she's as easy to fool as the show made her look.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Amanda is ..impressive?

She is ruthless, even to use McCrae..

And now this..wow, if she pulls this off she will be the greatest of BB ever (meaning nothing, of course)

She plays us as well as them (?)
Nice. All I have to say. (Not a fan of the negative things she has exhibited, let's get that out of the way). She might just be the 'next generation' of BB...

    ReplyDelete
  91. wow. this supermajority is really getting arrogant. telling Spencer to throw the veto comp when he is the nom!? hahahahahahaha are you kidding me, do they think everyone is beneath them? oh yes they do.

    ReplyDelete
