The Amazing Race: October 6 Blog Party


Grr. Once again we're delayed by football here on the East Coast. That's two for two, not good odds at all for the start of the season.

Although I'm putting the post up at the normal 8pm ET start time, I can't update this entry until the show comes on. Once it does, as it airs, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. As always ... the real party is in the comments area. Come join us!

I expect the show to start here in the NYC area at about 8:45pm. Grr.

8:45pm ET -- Finally we have theme music and the show is starting!

The first clue has them in a bunching situation with a ship not opening until morning. Then it's off to the salt mines.

Detour - Has them riding bikes, choosing between brining and mining tasks. Then they take a thousand-mile bus trip to Santiago, Chile.

The Roadblock has them shining shoes, putting together a shoe shine stand and delivering it.

Pit Stop order --
Leo and Jamal got there first, but hadn't paid the cab right.

    Thanks for the timing update. I'm not going to make the party as I unintentionally pulled an all-nighter doing an assignment for an online course. Who knew you could still do that at 45 yrs old? Anyway, what I cannot still do is stay up til 10 tonight. Please ask my team to not get eliminated tonight!

    I can't either, Joe. I'm finally getting enough nerve to go in to get my teeth fixed. I decided to let Residents do it with Dentists watching over them. Even with insurance, it's expensive, so I've put it off and off. I'll let interns work on me! Some have the most amazing eyes....LOL

    TODAY I suddenly remember clicking on the Google Accout as avised and that it didn't work. I started thinking (duh) that I never opened a Google account. I did and I am good! Blame it on old age!

    I decided Snoopy and his partner Woodstock should be on the A-R blog.

    Oh, Becky!! LOL....at least you remembered. I have had to change my password SO many times, because I forget where I wrote it down. I've gone threw every dog name, every nickname and have had to come up with new ones at LEAST once a month. It's terrible.
