Survivor: Cagayan - 'Bag of Tricks' Blog Party - April 16

Hey there, Survivor fans! Are you ready for tonight? Will Tony find his name written down a lot of times once again? I think he's going to get to the point where, unless he wins immunity, all will turn on him soon. That said, I do think he's playing a good game. But he's got a huge target on his back, methinks.

As the show airs here, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest! However, as it always goes, the real party is down in the comments area. Come join us to discuss the happenings as the show airs!

The latest blog pool update from Lifeguard Laurie:

Jefra Bland - David, Sharon S.
Jeremiah Wood - LostChyld
Kass McQuillen - Delee, MikesGirl
LJ McKanas - Lorraine, ML
Spencer Bledsoe - Becky and Monty924
Tasha Fox - DKNYNC, Rochelle
Tony Viachos - Lynn1, Zoetawny
Trisha Hegarty - Jackie
Woo Hwang - Laurie, SueGee

Jury- Sarah Lacina, Morgan McLeod

Ah, the show has begun. Tony thinks he can turn everyone against LJ to get the heat off himself. I wonder how that will go.

The reward challenge has them dividing into teams of three, throwing sandbags, then trying to bounce the sandbags into baskets. It's a spa reward with a nice lunch, too.

Tony, Jeremiah and Spencer win Reward!

Uh-oh, LJ thinks Tony is loyal to him. Kasha would like to flip LJ and blindside Tony. But LJ thinks he owes his life in the game to Tony. Meanwhile, Tony keeps plotting against LJ.

Immunity challenge time! They're getting their memories tested by repeating back the colors of tiles shown to them. Hmm. Gah. Trish got the second color of four wrong and is out. Woo is next out on the third color.

LJ, Tasha and Tony are the last three. Tasha wins Immunity!

Tony is scheming to get rid of LJ, but Trish wants the alliance of six to stay. Going into tribal, Tony seems to be reconsidering his position.

Interesting tribal, but no fireworks.

The tally -- LJ, LJ, LJ, Jeremiah, Jeremiah, Jeremiah, Spencer, LJ, LJ.

LJ says, "Well played" to Tony as he goes to get his torch snuffed.

  6. Hey, Jackie,Joe, Monty, and Lynn. Also to any others who arrive.

  7. From the previews, it looks like several of them start getting really paranoid tonight so anything can happen. The two alpha males could be in trouble...

  8. If anyone hasn't seen the Ponderosa or Survivor Live clips, some are rooting for Trish. I know, surprised me too. Evidently they like the way she's playing the game.

  9. ~*~*~*~* SPLASH ~*~*~**~*

Hi. Sorry I am late. I was already drinking up the street, but i missed all you guys.

  10. What I don't understand is why Tony seems to trust Kass more than LJ...

    ReplyDelete
  11. help me catch up. Did Kass Quit?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Trish is my blog pool pick. I'm alone in supporting her here. I'm glad to hear I have others at the Ponderosa!

. I am gonna FF until I ketchup.

  14. Joe who knows why Tony does anything or what his thought process is.

  15. Petals --Kass is still there.

  16. Hi everyone =) Just got home from store and brought a big box of In & Out burgers. (for those of you on the east coast think white castle)Dig in.

People actually rooting for Trish? no way.

  17. Which 2 males are the alphas? Tony and who? LJ

    ReplyDelete
  18. Tony is my pool pick I don't get his strategy or thought process at all

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yes, Petals... Tony and LJ. I can't remember which castoff coined that, but they are the two alphas. :))

    ReplyDelete
  20. I personally think Tony is a loose cannon...anyway the wind blows

    ReplyDelete
  21. Lynn, I think Tony has no strategy other than trying to be the next "bad guy", you know what I mean? He is just going willy-nilly, trying to be remembered for something, anything so he can come back as an "all star"
    IMO

  22. Thanks David. Yummy, but my family who've had In & Out burgers never compared them to White Castle. Now I don't think I even want to try them. Sliders are YUCK! ;-)

  23. Those guys have some skanky looking feet

    ReplyDelete
  24. Lynn 1, I can't stand Tony. Sorry to all the Tony pool peeps. He reminds me too much of Cappy and I haven't been able to get passed that image. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  25. I like Woo and Spencer but I doubt either of them will make it to the end

    ReplyDelete
  26. I agree Lynn. I have Spencer in the pool. I'm hoping he can go to the end, but I doubt that he will. :(

    ReplyDelete
  27. In & Out are not sliders Monty but they have a cult following like White Castle on the east coast does. =)I have had both as used to live in Va. and think In & Out are much better.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Tony doesn't bother me. But, then again, neither do the Afghanimals on TAR. At least Tony is trying to play the game even if it all does come crashing down on him.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I like Woo more than I dislike Tony. But mostly, I watch because of you guys. This season is kinda ... blah

    ReplyDelete
  30. WHO IS THAT GUY?
On which team was LJ, originally? He sure doesn't seem like a beauty? Yeeks, I canno remember.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I just think Tony is too aggressive in his moves. He definitely has a strategy and is working it hard. He's also right to be looking beyond the 6. The mistake a lot of people make is sticking with an alliance that they are on the bottom of until it is too late. 6 is just too big an alliance to be comfortable for anyone trying to win. At some point, probably next week (which is what Tony hinted at with Spencer) it makes sense to try and cut your 6 to a solid 4.

    ReplyDelete
  32. C'mon Tashia. I like her.

    ReplyDelete
  33. This might force Tony's hand. If he wanted to wait till next week, he may not have the numbers to make a break: assuming he thinks he can work with Spencer and Jeremiah.

    ReplyDelete
  34. These guys and their vote splits.

If they split, it's 3-3-3 so only one person can flip and turn the game around.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yes, I think LJ was beauty.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Good to know, David. I've heard good things about In & Out burgers.

Joe, I think Tony is too aggressive. He doesn't have the sort of charisma and pure chutzpah that Russell had. He can't pull that one off!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thanks Jax. I'd forgotten.
    Buck-up WOO!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I love Tony's eyes at tribal. He's always thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  39. This is where the vote split is just dumb. Tony alone can flip the game by flipping his vote.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm kind of surprised Spencer didn't play his idol. He must really trust Tony

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yay, my boy lives another day :)))

    ReplyDelete
  42. Spencer being THAT excited isn't a good thing, IMO

    ReplyDelete
  43. I didn't think that was really going to happen

    ReplyDelete
  44. Joe, that will be Spencer's downfall.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think that was a week early, and probably a week earlier than Tony wanted. But if you want to win, you need to pare the numbers. It's now 4 on 4. And, frankly, Tony has the physically stronger 4.

    ReplyDelete
  46. sorry Mon, who do you have? Spenc?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thanks for hosting, Jackie.

    ReplyDelete
  48. The problem with Tony's move isn't that it won't get him to the end. It's that it is hard to imagine him winning with that jury. He's going to have pissed off his alliance and Spencer, Jeremiah and Tashia are probably all going to be more popular with a jury.

But, Tony didn't have a choice to wait until next week when the numbers were better. Tashia winning immunity forced his hand. If he was going to break, he had to break while he still had Spencer and Jeremiah.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yes, I have Spencer. I don't think he stands a chance at this point but you never know with this season. Crazy tribal councils every week. :))

Thanks, Jackie. Everyone have a good weekend and will see you all next Wednesday. CHEERS

    ReplyDelete
  50. Thanks Jackie. I may not be around on Sunday. to all of you who celebrate it have a Happy Easter
