Survivor: Cagayan - 'Straw That Broke the Camel's Back' Blog Party - May 14

Well, this show is getting down to the wire, too. Will Tony not mess totally up and blow his chance of making it to the end? With his idols, he should be sitting pretty. But, with his cockiness ... who knows? They might just keelhaul him.

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments -- come join us!

Survivor fans ready?

Reward Challenge -- Dive into mud, scrape off into bucket, most mud in ten minutes wins. Winner wins hot pizza delivery.

Tony's bucket is overflowing with mud -- no one else is close. He can choose one person to join him. He chose Trisha. He thinks she needs it the most. (He's probably right; she's SO skinny!)

Tony wants to convince the others that he has the special idol and its power is that it can be used by the final three. In reality, both idols he has have to be used when there are five left.

He tried to make Kass comfortable by telling her Woo told him that she plotted against him. She went to Woo. Now there's a kerfuffle going on.

Immunity Challenge -- Untangle braided rope, release key, build staircase, solve sliding puzzle.

Despite a huge lead, Tony blew it on the puzzle. Spencer wins Immunity once again!

Ah, Trish lights into Kass about her passive aggressive game. Spencer and Kass think they need to get Woo on their side. Woo went to Kass and told her and Spencer that he will vote out Trish. Meanwhile, Tony eavesdrops on that deal. Uh-oh.

At Tribal, it's actually funny as they trade barbs at each other. Tony brings out his special idol, but doesn't explain its powers. Spencer votes Trish. Trish votes Kass. Tony is mum on playing the idol, but then plays the regular idol.

Trish, Kass, Trish, Trish.

My blog pool pick is snuffed.

Dang. Even Tony voted out Trish. He knew she was the target and probably thinks he'd rather sit in the finals with unlikable Kass.

  2. Kass is such an idiot sometimes...er, most of the time.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Hey, Lynn. Looks like old Tony will go all the way.

    ReplyDelete
  4. HI, guys! Woo is a bit of a dim bulb, but likable. Kass is an entirely different story. I don't think she's dumb, but she has no social game brights at all.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Honestly, if anyone but Tony wins, it will be a bit unjust. He's run the game from the beginning. It's very reminiscent of Boston Rob's run. The only difference is that you can see why people think that Tony is like Russell and may not win a jury vote. I still can't figure out how those star struck girls thought they were going to beat Rob in the jury vote.

    Hi.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I think he will be in the final 3 but I don't know if he will win. he is my pool pick but I don't particularly like him

    ReplyDelete
  8. I don't know, Jackie. Some of Kass's moves are real head scratchers. She definitely lacks some social game, but she also does odd things like blowing up the Brains, keeping J'Tia around, trying to backdoor Tony with WOO of all people...

    ReplyDelete
  9. For weeks I have been trying to remember from where I know Trish!
I finally have it - she looks like the mummy of Ramses!

    ReplyDelete
  10. This reward borders on cruel. I'm not sure I'd even want to win it. You can make a lot of enemies in a hurry. It's not even just that they didn't get the reward, but they have to sit there and watch you eat it. MEAN!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yeah, Joe. Maybe they can all leave camp & not have to be right there.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Lynn, I don't know if he'll win or not, but there is no one more deserving. He's annoying and a bit of an ass, but he's run this game ever since the beginning.

    ReplyDelete
  13. It does make you wonder how closely some of these folks have watched the show. I could figure out strategy if I were there ... it would be the rest that killed me. Or, I'd just break down. But I think I could figure out who to work against whom.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Tony has played the game, yes. But he's made enemies of so many, maybe even his cop friends back home.

    ReplyDelete
  15. See, what is Kass doing? Tony wants to take her to the end. What the heck is the point in trying to undermine Tony? She's not going to convince anyone of anything they don't know about Tony. ON the other hand, she risks turning Tony and the rest of her group turning against her.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yeeeks...her stomach looks like...a cadaver.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Joe I agree Tony has played the best game but I don't like him or his bully attitude. I don't think any of these folks are worth cheering for.

    ReplyDelete
  18. HA! Case in point of Kass lacking all social skills. No finesse at all. @@

    ReplyDelete
  19. It is very stupid of Cass to even think that anyone would vote for her over Tony. No way. He is out playing everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Petals, Trish does look like a mummy! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  21. lynn, me too! This season sux, IMO

Hey girl, what do you think of the Draft??? I hate that AJ went to Cincinnati, but I'm glad that he will get to SPANK Johnny Masengill one day.

    ReplyDelete
  22. But all you're saying, Petals, is that Tony played the best but could be undone by a bitter jury. It's still almost impossible to make a case for anyone else being even remotely deserving. I mean, what have any of them done? Kass made a big jump early on, but that's her only real move. Spencer has negotiated hard for his own survival, but his continued presence there is more a result of Tony using him for a couple blindsides than anything Spencer himself did. If anyone else wins, it'll be Natalie and Russell all over again.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm enjoying this season, for the most part.

    ReplyDelete
  24. lynn, I'm not saying we should cheer for Tony. I'm just saying it's hard to argue that anyone but Tony deserves to win.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I agree, Jackie. I think it has been a very entertaining season. A lot of twists and crazy tribals.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hey Jackie - what were the Bs? Brains Braun, Beauty? Was there a 4th?

You guys tell me if my avatar doesn't look exactly like Trish!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Petals, I thought it was great that Mr. football went so late in the first round, it gave me great pleasure to see him so antsy. I wish things had worked out better for A J

    ReplyDelete
  28. Late but I made it. Hi folks!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Really, isn't Kass undermining her own game here? Best case scenario, she gets Trish out, but she still wants Tony at the end. WTF? ON the flip side, Tony could easily talk Woo into tossing out Kass instead which would cement Woo with Tony.

    ReplyDelete
  30. your avatar is the spitting image of Trish

    ReplyDelete
  31. do any of you guys think Kass would beat Tony in the end? I don't think so. Spencer, maybe! Woo? Hmm.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Kass can't beat any of the ones left, Petals. The jury at Ponderosa hates her.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Well, Lynn, AJ finished school and has his degree! So at least he has that. :)
I loved every minute of his sweating it in the corner, chugging his water, wringing his hands. Then that video surfaced, taken from a neighboring table: Show JM standing up, saying "this is NOT what I wanted" before hugging his Dad. Hilarious!

    ReplyDelete
  34. C'mon Woo! Win something!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hell I might as well cheer for Tony. Hr is my pool pick and he is going win the whole shebang.

    ReplyDelete
  36. OK, this is gonna sound racist, but it isn't meant to be, you guys will understand: Asians are supposed to be really smart, what happened to Woo?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Kass, always the puzzle master...

    ReplyDelete
  38. Winner of immunity: TONY (natch)

  40. I haven't done a slide puzzle since I was like 8 years old. LOL. If I was ever going to go on Survivor, I guess I'd have to practice.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I love it... my boy's in the final 4! Woohoo

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hey Jackie? When does BB start? Oh, did you see this?

  44. Petals, how can that NOT be racist? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  45. I have never been good at puzzles. I never even enjoyed jigsaw puzzles as a kid.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Petals - Beauty Brains Brawn

    ReplyDelete
  47. This should be interesting. Didn't the previews show Trish going off on Kass?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Am I wrong, or has Brain won the past six or more IIs?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Joe - you know. I meant it in appreciation & admiration of Asians. But Woo...he seems to lack that trait. He's sweet, tho.

  51. Geeminy, sorry. Look who is NOT very intelligent - Petals HAHA.

Sorry all my posts are duplicating.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I think Tony will cut Trish's throat!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Thanks Jackie. I thought there were 4 Bs, been racking my (withered) brain all afternoon trying to think of the 4th.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Trish is right about Kass...

    ReplyDelete
  55. This is why Kass's "strategy" was nonsensical.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Wow, Trish called Kass ugly???
    Pot, meet Kettle (Skeletor, HAHAHHAHA)

Trish could be thrown under a Hotwheel bus, she's so emaciated!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Woo just looks like a dear in headlights most of the time. At least to me he does.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Woo is easy on the eyes but there is not a lot in between his ears

    ReplyDelete
  59. Long term??? That was two votes ago. There is no more long term! Duh

    ReplyDelete
  60. Aww, Woo is deer in both ways, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  61. Cool, tho. Woo's hair is truly blue/black. Neato.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Kind of have to expect Woo to go home. The "swing vote" almost always goes home, especially when they declare themselves to be that.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Hasn't anyone figured-out to go to the water & whisper? Don't they know that Tony is shrub-sneaking around?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Is this Tony's last chance to use his idols?

    ReplyDelete
  65. If Whoo wants any chance at all he needs Trish gone.

    ReplyDelete
  66. "Rail" having a double-meaning, I'm sure. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  67. That was good, Trish1 :)))

    ReplyDelete
  68. Oh, I hope he doesn't give the idol to Trish

    ReplyDelete
  69. Is Woo from CA? That would explain why he sounds like Jeff Spiccoli.

    ReplyDelete
  70. This tribal is hilarious

    ReplyDelete
  71. See he did cut her throat

    ReplyDelete
  72. Wow, was Trish really surprised? Her eyebrows went up like she wasn't expecting it!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I think that only Spencer and Whoo stand a chance in the finals with Tony.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Best tribal in a long time

    ReplyDelete
  75. Thanks for hosting, Jackie.

    ReplyDelete
  76. That was great!!! Tony could have given Trish the idol and she would have been safe and Kass would have gone home. Something tells me that Tony does want a goat at the end with him and for him that is Kass.

    ReplyDelete
  77. with Trish on the jury cheerleading for Tony I would bet it is a done deal for him to win

    ReplyDelete
  78. How can anyone say Kass hasn't "played"? She's played as hard as Tony, just in a very different way.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Petals - Beauty Brain Brawn and Bonkers?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Thanks, Jackie. See everyone at the finale. Go Spencer Go!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Thanks Jackie. good night everyone

    ReplyDelete
  82. Yay! Just checking in. Won't be here Sunday, either. Yay, for Spencer!

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  83. Silk, it isn't that she hasn't played... it's the fact that everyone on the jury has nothing good to say about how she's played it. They don't respect her game!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Re Kass - jury doesn't respect her game , but more often than not, they end up respecting a game that gets you to the end.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I also thing that tony should win. But jury always make some stupid decisions.

    ReplyDelete
