The Amazing Race 26 Blog Party - February 27

Yes, we're here on Friday nights once again. I hated the Sundays due to delays. However, I really think they must have had a fall-off in ratings moving it to the Friday 8pm ET/PT slot. I know that many of the readers here kept forgetting it was on or had Friday evening plans.

In the premiere the other night, we saw three of the "blind date" couples arrive at the mat in the top three. Will that repeat tonight?

Here's the updated blog pool presented by the Magnificent Margo:

Mike and Rochelle - Cheryl in NC, Laurie
Aly and Steve - Jackie, SueGee
Lebya ang CJ - Donna in FL, PDXGranny
Harley and Jonathan - Becky, Willie J
Matt and Ashley - Delee, Merrilee
Bergen and Kurt - Nana in NW, Rbennie
Blair and Hayley - Terry in TX, Margo, Chris
Jeffrey and Jackie - Brian, Donna in AL, ORKMommy
Jelani and Jenny - Marlo, Lynn 1, dla
Tyler and Laura - Ed in OH, David, Nickelpeed

PHILIMINATED:
Jeff and Lyda - Jennasmom, Paula Bell, meb

Attention CHRIS -- I saw your name was on the list to sign up and was somehow missed. You now are on the Blair/Hayley team! My apologies!

As the show airs here on the East Coast, this entry will be updated with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Heh. They all have to sleep in tiny places that Tokyo is known for.

They're staying in Japan for now, but don't ask me to spell the name of the next town. They have to get there by bullet train.

Roadblock - Open a trick box by using a series of complicated moves, follow clue inside. There's a spa trip for one couple to be used the pit stop. A loud band is there for annoyance while the puzzle box is being worked on.

CJ and Lebya, already trailing, missed their train while talking about the train.

Tyler and Laura are the first through the Roadblock. Jelani and Jenny follow them.

Detour -- Hitting the Ice (Chair) or Noodling with a favorite dish (share). Share has them feeding each other a bowl of noodles. A fan is blowing to make the noodles fly in the wind.

Tyler and Laura are the first heading to the Pit Stop. They did not hold their taxi. Jelani and Jenny finish and their cab is waiting. They take the lead.

Chair has them pushing their partners around in a chair while on skates. Most chose Share. The Olympians chose the Chair.

Pit Stop:
1. Jelani and Jenny - won a FitBit kit, a year of gym, a year of groceries and more.
2. Laura and Tyler

Jonathan and Harley got the Date Spa Night slip.

3. Aly and Steve
4. Jonathan and Harley
5. Bergen and Kurt
6. Jackie and Jeffrey
7. Matt and Ashley
8. Mike and Rochelle
9. Blair and Hayley
10. CJ and Lebya -- Philiminated

  18. Talking and missed the train. Bummer

    ReplyDelete
  19. I wouldn't be able to think with those drums and would be unable to do the challange. That's my story and I am sticking to it!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I saw something last night. Tonight I pretty much got home from work and had to set up the blog post.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hi Becky, how are you doing?

Jackie, that's cool that one of your friends did the U-turn for the show.

  22. We are finally getting a real snow today. And like the fool I am I went out driving in it. Stupid snow plow almost hit me. We usually get what the east coast is getting but it has been a dry winter here.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Sue, I love Wong Tong Soup!!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I love Won Ton Soup when I'm getting a cold - better than chicken soup for me!!

    SueGee on the LeftCoast

    ReplyDelete
  25. Glad it didn't hit you David. Snow plows have taken out our mail box multiple times. They do not watch what they do.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I get the feeling the two blonde guys do not like each other. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  27. Be back later...gonna go heat up some soup

    SueGee on the LeftCoast

    ReplyDelete
  28. I like Won ton soup but when I am getting a cold I go for the Hot and Spicey stir Fry with extra, extra, extra hot in it. Makes you sweat just eating it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. These two are really good.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I would not be able to do that "rubic's cube" at all.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Penny, I finally called "Uncle" today. I had such a bad headache I had to ask the nurse to finish feeding Momma so I could go to the doctor's office and beg to be seen. I had to see the PA. She said that it is possibly a mild concussion, but the only way to tell for sure is a CT scan. I did not want to do that. She gave me a shot and an anti-inflamatory prescription. I have to go back Monday if I am not a lot better.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Was there another task besides the box?

    ReplyDelete
  33. My brother's 65 red Mustang got wrecked by a snowplow on Christmas Eve back in the 70s

    ReplyDelete
  34. Penny - The box is a Roadblock, not a Detour with two choices.

    ReplyDelete
  35. If you hit your head hard enough, you probably do have a mild concussion, Becky.

Has the shot helped at all? You might have to have the CT scan.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh, okay, Jackie, thanks.

Man Jackie, if I had been your brother and a snow plow damaged a classic, I would be hopping mad.

    ReplyDelete
  37. That one reminds me of Colton!!! The guy in the green.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I wondered about that too. However I am so confused I don't know my hiney from a hole in the ground.

Take smaller portions and swallow without chewing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh, Becky, I feel bad for you. Hope you start feeling better soon.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Jackie, I had a 65 Mustang convertible. That was my baby.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hi. I'm here, but on a tablet. typing is awkward.

    ReplyDelete
  42. If you're having confusion, it's probably a concussion, Becky. BTW - they don't always show on CT scans. That would just rule out a fracture or bleeding within the brain.

Unfortunately, I've become a concussion expert.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I left the snow behind me in 1970 and only go visit it occasionally now. Now I live in the land of drought and earthquakes and I love it!

    SueGee on the LeftCoast

    ReplyDelete
  44. Penny, good news is I have done any cooking, cleaning or any work at all.

Poor Tommy feels so bad about what happened.

It's funny, but really not.... when I first tell someone what happened, you can see "spousal abuse" on their face. That man has not laid a hand on me in 56 years of marriage.

    ReplyDelete
  45. They should have changed after the first try.

    ReplyDelete
  46. You get new meds and/or a new Doctor yet Jackie?

    SueGee

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hi Silk =)

I know I would have been mad about a snowplow wrecking my car. I lost my '73 fastback mustang 20 minutes after midnight on new years when an idiot parked his truck sideways across the road and got out to take a leak behind it. He drove past a stop sign and stopped in the road.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Is the team skating the doctor and nurse

    ReplyDelete
  49. Man, I hate to see these two go. I love these guys. How sad.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Before I forget, I will not be here until late on Wednesday night because I have to work. I'll be out by, 8, but it takes me 28 minutes to get home. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  51. Jackie, I have wanted to ask you about that, but did not want to intrude on your issues.

Hopefully it isn't a concussion, but just a severe bruise.

Thank you for hosting. Hopefully the Friday crowd will grow.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Jackie, thank you so much for hosting us. Hope your head didn't hurt too much.

Becky, I hope you start feeling better. Get that CT scan if you have to; and rest.

See everyone next Friday. I'm mad because I'm missing Survivor. Will have to watch it when I get home.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I enjoyed CJ and Lebya, but you could tell they'd be out sooner rather than later. There aren't any teams I actually dislike yet. I don't think the pairing of Kurt and Bergen is going well.

    ReplyDelete
  54. That was a cute Clorax commercial. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  55. It is a shame to see them go but as lost as they were on the last leg I thought they were living on borrowed time.

    Thanks Jackie =)

    Everyone have a good evening.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Penny, just be careful driving home. Night all.

    ReplyDelete
  57. See you all Wednesday!
