The Amazing Race 27: October 16 Episode Blog Party

Hi, everybody! As the show airs here tonight, I'll be updating this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

I'm thinking tonight could very well be a non-Philimination leg. We know there's a Double U-Turn ahead and that the Texans are gunning for Justin. This could be very interesting!

Ready? Let's GO!

Tanner and Josh continue to push for other teams to use the Double U-Turn on Justin and Diana, promising them the Express Pass. Teams are heading to Zambia with the first flight only holding four teams. There's a fifteen minute difference. Justin and Diana and Texas make it on the first flight.

Roadblock - Who wants to rise above the smoke that thunders? Riding a glider motorized thingee to find a clue over Victoria Falls. Josh and Tanner use their Express Pass.

Justin approaches Joey for an alliance. Of course, Joey and Kelsey are also in on the U-Turn Justin and Diana plan, too.

The Texans go from Zambia to Zimbabwe. They really screwed up. They used the Express Pass before the Roadblock, now have to wait for 8am to get the next clue (or Detour). Ha.

Double Ha. The Texans and Justin/Diana are both the only teams going at 8am. The next team got an 8:10am key. Huh. Both teams promise not to U-Turn each other.

Detour: Co-op or Croquet. Staining and polishing a native ornamental giraffe or playing croquet. James Earl pronounces it "crokette."

Justin and Diana get through first and get a clue to head to the Pit Stop at an orphanage. Josh and Tanner are on the heels and now both teams are kind of even looking for taxis.

Justin and Diana do NOT use the U-Turn. They make it to the Pit Stop first and donate all they have.

Pit Stop ...
Still racing and and get a clue to carry on.

Josh and Tanner do not use the U-Turn and have respect for Justin and Diana for not using it on them.

Phil tells them they need to decide NOW who will get their second Express Pass.

Of course, it's not NOW and it's to be continued next week.

  3. Hey Jackie, David and Penny... this U-Turn tonight makes me nervous

    ReplyDelete
  4. 4th week in and I am still having trouble knowing who each team is. As soon as I got a team down they get eliminated. lol

  5. Howdy everyone!! Hi to Jackie & Vincent. My Lucy is watching this over my shoulder.

    SueGee on the LeftCoast

  6. I know, David lol

    Hey SueGee

  7. Everyone got your Halloween candy nice and early so you have time to eat it and then go get some more??

    ReplyDelete
  8. Good... they made it on the first flight

    ReplyDelete
  9. I don't like it when one team puts pressure on another to help them do their dirty work.

    ReplyDelete
  10. LOL @ SueGee. I bought some last night and haven't broke into it yet. We never get any Trick or Treaters, so it's mostly our candy anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  11. LOL SueGee yea, that is how it works. Since no one comes around here any candy I buy is all mine anyway. =)

    ReplyDelete
  12. I always make sure that what I like is what I buy. I used to be able to take it into work and get rid of it. None of that now!

  13. Hi Ed =)

I do hope it is Tanner and Josh that get U-turned, instant Karma is needed on them.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hey, guys. I'm under the influence of cold meds. Ick.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'm hoping the green team will be safe. The two boys are bent on getting rid of them. I hope it backfires. Sorry for anyone who has them.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Sorry to hear that Jackie! We'll keep it quiet in here.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sorry to hear that Jackie. I've been trying to fight off one that wants to go into my ears (pop pop pop) The meds are the ones that speed you up tho...

Hope you feel better real quick!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi David, Yea karma can be a ......

    ReplyDelete
  19. How beautiful. I would love to do that challenge.

Hi monty! I hope it comes back to bite the boys if they U-turn Justin, just because they do not like him.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Those boys are so determined to put the kibosh on Justin and Diana that they wasted their express pass when they were in the lead, Sheeesh. Not very smart on their part.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I can see where Justin can be annoying. But Josh and Tanner might blow up their own game by concentrating on them this early in the race.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Have to agree with all of you and it looks like the edit is pointing in that direction! Fingers crossed

    ReplyDelete
  23. You're right, Jackie. Justin probably is very annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Momma Denise cracks me up

    ReplyDelete
  25. You've got that right Jackie. These people try to play too hard and too fast anymore. They need to pay attention to their own game first!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Don't know if I could fly in one of those things?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I don't like hearing Justin saying he plays the game better than anyone else. That could come back to bite him.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I would fly in it, though, Ed. To see Victoria Falls would be a dream come true.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'd fly in one of them for the once in a lifetime experience... I love my bucket list :)))

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yea Nickel the falls part would be great. I'd just like a little BIGGER vehicle.

We took a helicopter over Niagra Falls....Victoria would be awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Penny, there a lot of little things in tonight's edit. Justin being cocky is for sure one of them

    ReplyDelete
  32. OK I might fly in one....but I might need some of Jackie's cough medicine :-)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I am sure about that, Monty. I bet he has a huge head on his shoulders. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  34. Seems like most of them are out for GreenTeam :((

    ReplyDelete
  35. Well, it looks like a lot of them do not like Justin and Diana. Crap. Wonder what makes them so bad. LOL.... ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  36. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm happy dancing with all of you :))

    ReplyDelete
  38. Well, they gave it to the other 2, so they could talk the other couple in to using it. I hope not, though.

    ReplyDelete
  39. LOL, Justice prevails. =) Serves them right for using the express pass for the wrong reason.

    ReplyDelete
  40. However, with this happening to the guys, it might be a bad luck incentive for them to use it to target another couple.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Could not have happened to a better couple. Maybe they'll see the error of their ways.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I would never trust any of them. Justin and Diane have to know the boys won't abide by a handshake.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I would have probably done the painting

    ReplyDelete
  44. Can't hit it as hard as a golf ball, though, guys.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Croquet! Finally something I think I could handle LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Me, too, Ed. I love playing croquet. Used to play it as a kid all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  47. haven't played since I was a kid either LOL

    ReplyDelete
  48. As a life long golfer I would enjoy taking on those pros

    ReplyDelete
  49. These boys just do not like Justin and Diana at all. That's pretty bad.

    ReplyDelete
  50. We used to play croquet all the time when I was little. The game died out in America. I don't know why. It was so darn fun.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I know Penny... I'd love to know if it's more than what we've seen or not. It ticks me off!

    ReplyDelete
  52. A lot of houses just don't have the croquet lawns anymore. Big and flat.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I remember not being good at croquet and even worse at golf... and I'm a bowler. Go figure. Most of my friends who are good at bowling are good at golf, but not me. I only got the bowling gene. :))

    ReplyDelete
  54. Yeah, Monty. They can't be showing some stuff. I wonder if Justin is so mouthy, he's just too hard to take in even small quantities. Or, the boys from Texas are just very competitive and arrogant. Who knows.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I grew up playing softball all day. The big ball with no mitts. But used to be able to play most sports. (except football)

    ReplyDelete
  56. I was good at bowling, too. Haven't been in years, though. My best friend's father owned a golf course when I was growing up. The family still owns it. I would like driving the golf cart, but the golf part was agonizing. After getting a 72 on nine holes, I decided golf was not for me. LOL. Still like driving the golf cart, though.

    ReplyDelete
  57. That was nice... I hope the boys return the favor

    ReplyDelete
  58. Looking at the clock this has to be a "keep on racing" kind of week

    ReplyDelete
  59. No U-turn.......Classy move???

    ReplyDelete
  60. I am so glad Justin and Diana got there first. They really are good hearted. And, they are still playing. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Penny, I can't even drive the ball off the tee very well. Went to the driving range with my ex and hit and entire bucket of balls before I hit five. I suck at golf

    ReplyDelete
  62. Yep, looks like Jackie was correct, a non-elimination or a keep on running week.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Will the Texans and Green Team team up???

    ReplyDelete
  64. LOL Nickel 72 is a good score.....for 18 holes!!

Don't bowl much anymore. Back in the day had 185 avg.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Dang, now we have to wait until next week. I work next Friday, so I won't be here. I work next Wednesday, too, so will miss the Survivor blog, too. Darn.

Jackie, thank you so much for hosting us. Scritch Vincent's ears for me.

Won't be back on the blog until the 28th. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. No, Ed, it was 72 for 9 holes. That's bad. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I don't have much confidence in my Cheerleaders. Most shows I don't even know they're there!!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Thanks Jackie =)

Everyone have a great weekend. =)

    ReplyDelete
  69. I know Nickel....just kidding!

    ReplyDelete
  70. They have a lot of great challenges this season!

    Thanks for coming by!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Thanks Jackie! Feel Better!!

    As my homie says.................Go Bucks!

    ReplyDelete
  72. LOL @ Penny. I'm sure I'd shoot a 72 for five holes.

Night folks and thank you Jackie. I hope you feel better soon and give Vincent a scratch and a kiss from me.

GO BUCKS!! Tomorrow will be a DARK OUT instead of a WHITE OUT

    ReplyDelete
  73. I went back and read it, Ed, now I get what you were saying. LOL
