The Amazing Race Blog Party - April 1, 2016
The show is starting! As you all know, it's been off for a few weeks due to basketball. (Grr.) As it airs here on the East Coast, I'll post the major happenings live. Refresh the page to get the latest! However, as it always is ... the real party is in the comments area. Please join in on the fun! (And bring tasty beverages and snacks!)

Amazing Race fans ready? Let's GO!
Teams are on their way to Armenia. All teams are on the same flight. So, any one could win this leg ... theoretically. There is an Express Pass waiting for the winner of the leg. The teams are bunched waiting to purchase opera tickets. They're not going to see the opera -- their next clue is hidden in the theater.
Teams have to climb a gazillion steps next -- Cascade.
The Alpha Boys are leading the pack, followed by Cole and Sheri.
Detour: Thread - Make a rug or ... Bread - making traditional bread. Both tasks are difficult.
Tyler/Korey and Blair/Scott are the last ones out of the theater.
The Alpha Boys are the first on their way to the next clue. No real surprise there. They have to take a certain bus and pick up the clue along the roadside at a stand.
Roadblock -- Who's feeling drained? They have to do an oil change. Only two cars at a time can be on the ramp.
Alpha Boys are heading to the Pit Stop.
Pit Stop:
1. Kurt and Brodie - won Express Pass (to be used before the 9th leg)
2. Burnie and Ashley
3. Zach and Rachel
Sheri at first didn't have the tool to loosen the oil filter. Then she keeps trying to loosen it in the wrong direction. That might cost them the leg/race (dependent on whether it's a non-Philimination or not). We're probably due for a non-Philimination. But I could be wrong.
4. Dana and Matt
Scott helps Sheri!
5. Scott and Blair
6. Tyler and Korey
7. Sheri and Cole -- NON-PHILIMINATION!
They're immediately going to start on the next leg!
Yay... we're back on Fridays. Hi Jackie and all who arrive.
ReplyDeleteHey there, Monty. I hope people remember it's on! I saw on FB that Penny (Nickelpeed) fell and went to the ER. She was going to come. I hope she's okay.
ReplyDeleteHey, Jackie and Monty.
ReplyDeleteHey Becky!
ReplyDeleteGood evening Jackie and everyone who manages to remember. =)
ReplyDeleteI forgot until just now myself. I was looking through channels to see if something was on tonight and saw TAR was coming on.
I got Mongolian Stir fry in chicken and beef, extra spicy.
Oh, no. Thanks for letting us know. Did she say how badly hurt?
ReplyDeleteI hope Penny is OK. That is terrible news.
ReplyDeleteHey, David.
ReplyDeleteHi Becky and David. Hate to hear that about Penny. Hope it isn't serious. :((
ReplyDeleteSounds great David. Love the Mongolian Barbecue near my brother's house. Yummy!!
ReplyDeleteHi Everybody! Hey Hommie!
ReplyDeleteAfter a 2 week hiatus I have to refresh my memory on who the players are.
Howdy everyone!! Better late than never I always say!
ReplyDeleteHi to Jackie & Vincent, Becky David Monty!!
SueGee on the LeftCoast
Hi everyone. Thank you Jackie. I just wanted to check in, not staying.
ReplyDeleteTook a really bad fall today. I'm okay, just in a lot of pain. Flat on my back, drugged up, so I'm kind of out of it. I'll pop in a little later.
All the best Penny!
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself Penny!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking in with us here, Penny. So sorry about your fall but the important thing is that you are okay (sort of). Prayers for quick healing and a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteI saw that on FB you posted you went to the ER. I'm glad you're okay-ish.
ReplyDeleteHi Homie and SueGee. I know what you mean Ed. I'm trying to remember who's who myself, lol.
ReplyDeleteNo Stella for Penny tonight, she got the good stuff and doesn't need any more. =)
ReplyDeleteHope you get better quick. =)
When I saw that guy vacyyming I thought he might have the clue.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the "high" Penny. As we tell our Beagles -- "Heal!"
ReplyDeleteI'd love to do the weaving. Used to have my own six harness loom but haven't done anything in decades. I think that would be better than the bread.
ReplyDeleteTwo of my favorite teams are still looking.
ReplyDeleteWeaving on a harness loom is easier, LOL
ReplyDeleteHi everyone. Thank you Jackie. I just wanted to check in, not staying.

Tyler and Corey are usually fighting for the lead but now at the back of the pack, not good.
ReplyDeleteI forgot my pick was still in this, lol Gooo Alpha dudes.
Somewhere in the world there is a Moroccan carpet with some knots badly tied by me.
ReplyDeleteGood, my team is in second right now.
ReplyDeleteThe instructions said "take a bus". Won't there be a penalty for those who took a cab?
ReplyDeleteI got lost there for a second. Are the going to the square to find the bus or did they just make a big goof?
ReplyDeleteOops posted twice. Thanks everyone. My leg is no broken, so that's good. They used an ultrasound and found a few tears and knots. My thigh is a balloon. lol. Now I know how baseball players feel. My gosh, this is painful! I'll talk to you all later...
ReplyDeleteIf they did that then there should be Becky. I can't tell as the show comes on here in 25 minutes so I can't help there.
ReplyDeleteTransportation seems to be very important in these races. Planes, trains, boats, taxis, & today buses
ReplyDeleteBrodie and Kurt are having fun this leg
ReplyDeleteGee, a Roadblock I could do! I worked in a service station during college summers.
ReplyDeleteshe reminds me of Trista Sutter from the Bachelor and Bachelorette
ReplyDeleteLOL Jackie. =)
ReplyDeleteThey have the teams working for Jiffy Lube now.
Take care Penny and get well for Wednesday night. HUGS
ReplyDeleteI used to actually change my car's oil back when I was very young & poor
ReplyDeleteThat was nasty of them of that team not to explain how to take a filter off. nThey are now dirt in my book.
ReplyDeleteYay Ed and David!!
ReplyDeleteYay, goooo Alpha dudes. lol. If they were not my pick I don't think I would be rooting for them though. =)
ReplyDeleteRighty tighty, lefty loosey
ReplyDeleteThey took the cab to the bus, David. SueG, That's why you have fathers, brothers and a husband! One time my husband suggest that he show me how to change a flat in case I ever had one (we lived 50 miles from work). I told him I wouldn't need it. He asked why not? I told him if I had a flat I would open the hood and peer in. The first man who drove by would say look at the idiot woman thinking you can change a tire from under a hood and would change if for me. Sure am glad I didn't have to try that logic out!
ReplyDeleteThe 'Alpha Boys' are lookin' good....................for now!!
ReplyDeleteMonty, you are teaching me a lot!
ReplyDeleteI have my tractor torn apart in my garage rebuilding the engine. I don't think I will ask any of the teams for help. =)
ReplyDeleteSee why I like Scotrt so much!
ReplyDeleteThat was sweet of Scott.
ReplyDeleteShe finally got some help!
ReplyDeletePlease do not be an elimination leg.
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL~!!!
ReplyDeleteThat was nice!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it was non-elim.
ReplyDeleteYay, good for them!
ReplyDeleteFun show tonight. Thanks everyone for the company and thank you Jackie for the coolest place to hang out on a Friday night. Have a good weekend everyone.
Thank you for coming by!
ReplyDeleteJackie, thank you for hosting. See you mates next Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteSee you Wednesday night!!
ReplyDeleteLucky for them. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie =)
Everyone have a great weekend.
