The Amazing Race Blog Party - April 8, 2016
The show is starting! As it airs here on the East Coast, I'll post the major happenings live. Refresh the page to get the latest! However, as it always is ... the real party is in the comments area. Please join in on the fun! (And bring tasty beverages and snacks!)
The Magnificent Margo (and Mom) have made the random picks for the blog pool and here they are ...
Tyler & Korey-P- Paula Bell, Bruce & Ray, SueGee
Burnie & Ashley- Buzzmaam, Delee
Sheri & Cole- Donna in FL, Merrilee, Becky
Zach & Rachel- Sharon N, Nana in NW
Dana & Matt- Grandi, Nicklepeed
Scott & Blair- Meb, Jennasmom
Kurt & Brodie- David, Ed in OH
Philiminated:
Marty & Hagan- Jackie, Willie J
Cameron & Darius- chrob61, PDXGranny
Jessica & Brittany- Donna in AL, Monty924
Erin & Joslyn- Brian, Margo, Rbennie
Since last week was a non-Philimination, Sheri and Cole should be facing a Speed Bump this leg. Amazing Race fans ready? Let's GO!
All the teams are on a midnight train to Georgia (not the United States Georgia), so it's all an even playing field again. That is with the exception of the Express Pass (Kurt and Brodie) and the Speed Bump ahead.
So far they're being directed from Freedom Square to another location where they have to ride a gondola to an extremely old church/fortress.
Detour - Either Georgia winemaking or making a string. They have to clean pots or make a candied wine string thing.
From the Detour, it's onto the National Opera for the next clue. Zach and Rachel are in the lead, first ones off the Detour. Uh-oh ... Korey and Tyler are switching to the cleaning the wine pots. That's not easy, either.
Roadblock -- Who's light on your feet? Ballet. Yikes. It's not ballet as we think it. Think of an Irish jog mixed with a Russian wedding dance, but certain moves which must be done.
The Pit Stop is coming up!
1. Zach and Rachel - won a trip for two
2. Burnie and Ashley
3. Brodie and Kurt
4. Sheri and Cole (Apparently no Speed Bump. I just assumed, I guess.)
5. Korey and Tyler
6. Scott and Blair -- Philiminated.
Aw, I liked them. All the teams are likeable this season.
Hey, Jackie and others who arrive.
ReplyDeleteHi to Jackie & Vincent and all that enter!! Just stopped by to say hello, can't stay long...
ReplyDeleteSueGee on the LeftCoast
Hey Becky
ReplyDeleteHi Sue and Becky!
ReplyDeleteHey, Sue G. As you and Jackie can see by my avatar, I am sitting at my computor waiting to post.
ReplyDeleteYou silly beagle, Becky!
ReplyDeleteYou watch the last American Idol last night? (Not my choice to win)
ReplyDeleteHi Jackie, Becky, and SueGee. Just stopping by to day hello while getting some stuff together for last day of work this week.
ReplyDeleteAnd to say Goooo alpha male team, Kurt and Brodie. lol
I am so far behind tonight. Went to lunch with a lady I used to work with who just retired also and we talked for 2 hours!! Picked the right place to not get bothered :o) I'm just going to make hamburgers for dinner tonight but need to get the BBQ set up.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back a bit later and see if you are all still awake!!
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! Jackie, thank you for giving us this wonderful spot to play! Greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteSueGee, I was absolutely shocked that LaPortia did not win. She's a Diva. However, I do like Trent and am happy for him. LaPortia WILL be a star. There's no way she's going to be idol for very long. One good thing for her is that she will not have the Idol contract holding her back. Many winners have been held back because of it.
I worked nearly twelve hours today and am a bit out of it. (Although I am updating the blog.)
ReplyDeleteHow hard for you, Jackie. We won't be mad if you snooze.
ReplyDeleteI really liked that McKenzie guy who went out of Idol a few weeks ago. The other in the top three? Talented enough, but don't really interest me so much.
ReplyDeleteHey Becky, SueGee, Penny, David and Jackie. Hope I didn't miss anyone. Tuning in a little late tonight, but I've been watching it from the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteYou are a trouper, Jackie. Soigned, Beagle Becky
ReplyDeleteDid everyone notice Rachel and Brandon had a girl?
ReplyDeleteHey, David, Penny and Monty.
ReplyDeleteDang Jackie, sit down and take a load off. =) I used to work 12 hour days, 7 days a week while building a chip manufacturing plant and it really burned me out.
ReplyDeleteDang it. I dropped my mouse and now it wants to double click everything. Making it hard to navigate documents as it keeps wanting to skip pages.
I didn't, Penny. I've had some hectic work few days. Plus, I don't really follow them so much.
ReplyDeleteI don't follow them, it just popped up on the a feed I follow.
ReplyDeleteMy team is in trouble.
ReplyDeleteAww, happy for Brendan and Rachel. Not my favorite, but happy for them.
ReplyDeleteThese teams are all likeable.
ReplyDeleteThat's a huge mistake. They were one off from finishing.
ReplyDeleteThey should have stayed. They were right there.
ReplyDeleteI like these teams, too, Becky. They've been so different from all the others. It makes me wonder why?
ReplyDeleteThe dance always kills everyone
ReplyDeleteYes, very likable cast this season. Not a lot of complainers and fighting among the teams
ReplyDeleteYes, Scott and Blair did it
ReplyDeleteI really like Scott and Blair and Sherri and Cole. Plus the two who left when they were so close with the candy.
ReplyDeleteI would not be able to do the dance having two left feet. That would kill me.
ReplyDeleteDavid, I couldn't do THAT kind of dance. Heck, I am old! I couldn't remember the steps.
ReplyDeleteI don't consider myself over the hill or anything, but I couldn't do it!
ReplyDeleteBoy, this dance is so hard. Knowing my luck, I'd pull my other hamstring and fall off the stage.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed the first ones who got there are still there. WOW
ReplyDeleteOh, I do not want the father and daughter in last place. Darn it.
ReplyDeleteCome on Scott, you can do this!
ReplyDeleteMy husband says they don't yell at each other like other races because they really do not talk to each other in person. It's usually over social media. LOL
ReplyDeleteYayayyayay. She did really, really well. Now, come on Scott, you can do this.
ReplyDeleteVery funny, Penny. Ask him if it is the same way for those "in love" with each other?
ReplyDeleteOh, no!!
ReplyDeleteWOOHOOOOO!
ReplyDeleteBecky, I guess it could be that way, but with social media, you really don't have to talk to each other. LOL
Poor Scott is going to loose because of this. Dang it.
Come on Scott!!!!
ReplyDeleteCRAP!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stand up person, Scott is a wonderful person.
ReplyDeleteSad... sniffling here
ReplyDeleteWell, Jackie, thank you so much for give us a place to talk. I work next week, so won't be there. They wouldn't let me work today, which was good.
ReplyDeleteSee everyone on Wednesday for Survivor!!!
Yeah! Scott did it! Oh, no, he has the wrong bag. At least he was honest enough to take the bag back.
ReplyDeleteJackie, thank you for hosting. Go to bed! LYM
Thanks for stopping by to visit!
ReplyDeleteThat is what would have knocked me out of the race, a dance. lol
ReplyDeleteToo bad for them.
Thanks Jackie =)
Everyone have a great weekend.
Loved this dad and daughter team. Well, it's been another fun night at the pool. Thanks Jackie and everyone have a great weekend. Snow in the forecast here tonight. Only 260 days until Christmas. sigh
ReplyDeleteSnow forecasted here, too. Grr.
ReplyDeleteOh, the waterslide coming up next week. I still remember Flight Time and Big Easy on it. Love it!!!
