Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen -X Blog Party - October 26

As Survivor airs here on the East Coast, I'll be live-blogging with the major events.  As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to join in on the fun! Later on tonight, I will have a post for the BBOTT show/live eviction. I was lackadaisical last night and today -- Whitney was the renom. So, it's Scott, Morgan and Whitney on the block.

Here are the blog pool match updates from the Lovely Lifeguard Laurie:

Vanua - Orange
Chris Hammons - Cheryl in NC, Jennasmom, Lanell from TN
David Wright - Buzzmaam, MikesGirl, Sharon C
Michelle Shubert - Ed in Ohio, Nickelpeed
Zeke Smith - Beachmom, monty924 , Glenn

Takali - Purple
Adam Klein - Brian, Kelsey NY, Sharon N
Figgy Figueroa - Donna in Alabama, Laurie
Jessica Lewis - Cupcake, Jean, Petals
Ken McNickle - Dolores in Hollywood, Margo, Russ
Taylor Lee Stocker - Donna in FL, Janice from GA, Stephanie in Baltimore

Ikabula - Green
Bret LaBelle - Brandi Peralta, Judi Sweeney, Skyriverblue
Hannah Shapiro - David, meb, Terry is a Texan
Jay Starrett - Becky, Jackie, Shayne
Michaela Bradshaw - Donna in NY, Krysta G, Pinky
Sunday Burquest - Brenda, Kristen from Ohio, SueGee
Will Wahl - Cheryl, Indiana Jane

OUT
x Rachel Ako
Mari Takahashi - cwcamper, Marthalight
Paul Wachter - ChickMc, PDX Granny
Lucy Huang - Delee, ML
CeCe Taylor - Anonymouse, Merrilee

Fifteen are left. Who will be voted out tonight? Survivor fans ready? Let's go!

David thinks that they made the right decision in voting out CeCe. Zeke, of course, is a happy camper.

On Ikabula, Jay thinks he has to take care of people. He wants to find the idol. He finds one right in front of Will. Whoops! Michaela walked up on them and now she knows, too. She's one of the best players on their tribe (in my opinion). She tells us it will remain secret unless she needs to snitch to stay in.

Reward Challenge time -- callers with blindfolded players collecting puzzle pieces. The caller will solve the puzzle directing blindfolded players. First prize is a sweet feast, second is cookies.

Coming from behind, Vanua wins first place! Ikabula won second place.

Hannah feels faint and they've called medics. Apparently she hyperventilated and ended up with cramping hands. Poor Hannah.

Zeke, realizing he's still bottom of his age group (although the oldest) is thinking he needs to jump ship and ally with the Gen-X bunch.

Hannah is going on about her anxiety issues.

Taylor and Figgy are very smug in their showmance. Taylor thinks they're a power couple. Figgy isn't as certain they should "come out." Jessica tells her they knew. Ken knew, too. Ken tells us that he's going to make sure he's okay and that Figgy/Taylor are like kids playing camp.

Immunity Challenge time! Race balance beams on water, collect six bags, three balls, table maze.

Ikablua wins Immunity! Vanua is finally safe!

Figgy thinks they should vote out Ken. She pushes Adam in that direction. Of course, Taylor is on board with his Figgy. Jessica proposes to Adam he join up with her and Ken. Ken approaches Adam and promises him safety in the game. Adam isn't sure what to do.

Tribal Council -- lots of giggles, but Adam's still in the middle. He is the only swing vote.

The tally:
Ken, Figgy, Ken, Figgy, Figgy!

Woot! Ken is safe! Adam made the right choice. Taylor is giving him the evil eye.

    ReplyDelete
  4. OMG, these kabobs are delish!!

    Hey Becky

    ReplyDelete
  5. Hi Jackie and Vincent!!! Thank you for hosting us!!! Appreciate it!!

Hi Petals and Monty. I'm making some hot cinnamon wine!!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Michaela is very smart, but also very sneaky! LOL I'm so glad they do not make her come across as stupid. Very smart woman.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh, that sounds good too, Penny. Great to see everyone at the pool party. I completely missed the last one. My mind and all, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  8. This punch is just what I needed, Monty! It's perfect, mmmm Great idea :)

  9. I did not have a computer or telephone for a week. And yes, we paid the bill! My DH (not darling this time) switched our server to Direct TV. The installer came and when he finished connecting up the TV he told Tommy that "you are installed". He waited a few days and then took the box back to Time Warner. The installer lied. They finally got out to day and hooked us up to the computer and telephone.

  10. This is bound to be painful. The blindfold challenges always are!

    ReplyDelete

  12. Howdy everyone!! Been busy and my kitchen and BBQ are a mess, but I have some Baby Back Ribs, beans & rice and a nice green salad. If anyone is hungry help yourself. I'll take one of the Stella's I know are over by Petals!!

    SueGee on the LeftCoast

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hi all!! I hope you all had a good week. I'm beating a bottle of wine tonight. It went over well last week

    ReplyDelete
  14. That punch would knock me out LOL. No more hump days when you retire - I get 6 Saturdays and one Sunday every week!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Wonderful food. I brought the Stella's this week. Yes, Jackie, thank you for hosting. I was not nice to be around last Wednesday. Great challenge!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I will be so angry at David. If they lose because of him; and he uses his idol, and someone else is sent home because of him, I will be sooooooo angry!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Dillweed is just a lost cause...how does he function in normal life?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Serves her right for being so obnoxious on the mat

Oh, hang in there Hannah :((

    ReplyDelete
  19. That's great!! What a great come back. Can't stand David.

    Poor Hannah, hope she's okay.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Great, now the screen has frozen. Hope to get back. I need to go throw DH out of his chair and watch the show there.

    ReplyDelete
  21. SOrry you're having trouble with DirecTV, Becky. I've been with them for 6yrs, and love their service. Once you get the bugs worked-out, I think you'll enjoy it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Kendoll's team lost. Crap...

    ReplyDelete
  23. I might end up having to switch to DirectTV too. UVerse is getting phased out now that they are both ATT. I just don't want the dish

    ReplyDelete
  24. No thanks to David. If it weren't for the others, they would have lost.

    Don't feel sorry for Figgy

    ReplyDelete
  25. Becky, I've been having screen freezes on certain channels with TWC. So annoying. Hope they figure out what's causing it and fix it for you.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ditto Penny - Figgy gets zero sympathy from me.

SueG, the Dish as in Dish network? Or the dish that you need to get DirecTV?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I switched from DirecTV to Dish because my phone company bundles. I'm very happy with DishTV

    ReplyDelete
  28. Dish as for DirectTV. My son has it in Iowa so I'm familiar with it once it is working. I'm going to have such a learning curve on learning the channels and DVR

    ReplyDelete
  29. while I recouped from my surgery, I worked for DirecTV. I worked from home as a call-center rep. I love their service, so I enjoyed working for them. But then AT&T bought them and fired all of the at-home people (grrr).

I'm loyal to DTV b/c when I was super-poor, like in 2010, I called to cancel my service b/c I couldn't afford it. And the guy told me that no, I didn't need to cancel; they would suspend my billing for 6mths until I was on my feet again, then regular billing would resume. It was a life-saver. Since then, I am loyal to them. It's the Scorprio in me. LOL

Speaking of which - what are everyone's Halloween plans?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Since I live in the middle of nowhere, I can only get a satellite. We don't get cable or anything, so we started out with DirecTV. Their prices went up and up. I started having problems with my DVR, so when my phone company offered a bundle with Dish. We took it.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Unfortunately, I know many, many Millennials who have a lot of anxiety. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  32. Agree with all of you on Figgy! We don't have any other cable option than TWC and he won't go back to Dish. Had it and he hated it. Won't do Direct either because he doesn't like satelite.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hi everyone... been a while, but see my guy is still in the hunt!
Somehow, I haven't gotten too attached to anyone in the bunch this time.

DirecTV used to be associated with Verizon, but ATT has it now. Either way, I've gotten good service from them. Switched to CenturyLink Prism and the whole experience was a nightmare from hell. Back to DirecTV again.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Oh yes, Penny. Definitely a trait of millenials. See it on a daily basis at work and socially.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm staying home on Halloween. When I was younger, I'd go to all the Halloween parties, but not any more. I really, really miss trick or treaters. We get none out here. First year we were here, we bought candy and nobody came. I was so disappointed, but now we are used to it. I really miss seeing the costumes.

    ReplyDelete
  36. My sister lives in the middle of nowhere too and they don't even do TV anymore. The still get netflix mailed to them!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Millenials DO all have mental/emotional problems. You know why? Because 90% of their mothers were on Paxil or Prozac when they were conceived. They were born chemically dependent.
    JMO

    ReplyDelete
  38. There are few options for the middle-of-nowheres. HughesNet is one that is popular with rural folk.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Staying home to give out the candy as usual...that is if there is any left by then LOL

    ReplyDelete
  40. Monty, my husband would agree. I know how to operate my DVR, etc. My husband doesn't. It's all greek to him. He'd rather not bother with it. If anything goes wrong, I have to fix it. LOL. I love my satellite. I don't have a choice, though. We don't have cable; and I won't use an antenna. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  41. Our only other choice would be Comcast and they have the worst cust service on the planet. And I have NO patience with idiots anymore

    ReplyDelete
  42. Halloween is my bday, so we are doing a pot luck at work, then I'll hand out candy to the kids. It will be like 70° here on Monday, so I hope I get a lot of kids.

Oh geeminy - I hope Figgy or whathisname gets straight-up voted out this week. I hope that tribe tanks the comp on purpose to get her out.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Agree, Petals and they're also the generation of everyone gets a trophy and other things. They never had to experience failure and learning from the experience. It's okay to fail at things. You figure out how to change and adapt that way.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I ♥ KEN!!! Go get 'em baby!

    ReplyDelete
  45. The mille at our office are just so impatient, too. If it isn't instant, they get angry. If they are waiting more than 5 minutes on hold, they hang-up. If the drive-thru is backed up or slow, they blow their horns.
    BRATS! (thanks, you-know-who!)

    ReplyDelete
  46. We have a part for Halloween to go to. I'm going to be Flo from Progressive and my husband will be Jake from State Farm.

    ReplyDelete
  47. oh, and now it's all about salt water swimming pools. They refuse to live in an apartment complex that has a chlorine pool (ga-ROSS!). It has to be SALT water swimming pools. And an enclosed, climate-controlled garage, NOT a car-port (ewwww!)

    LOL

Go David (anyone but Ken, so they can vote out Figgy)

    Is Ken throwing it??

    ReplyDelete
  48. When we first moved out here, HughesNet was our first internet service, which was a subsidary of Direct TV. We hated it. It was always down and was extremely expensive. When they FINALLY got Internet where we lived, we got it through our telephone service and had DirctTV for television. Hated HughesNet.

    ReplyDelete
  49. TBC - GREAT costumes!!! Perfect! I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I will be celebrating my Birthday on Halloween and passing out candy to all the ghosts and goblins.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I hope Chris and them do not lose this time. But they are so slow. I would love to see David voted out.

    Micheala is so nasty sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  52. HURRY green & orange team! (one of the team names sounds like Manure)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Figgy is good at playing with balls...

    ReplyDelete
  54. Sorry, that is me. Celebrating a birthday.

    ReplyDelete
  55. ANON!! Hey Halloween Birthday twin! :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Michaela is good. But she can be such a brat.

Dang, I do not want Chris and them to lose. Dang.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Good teamwork there. Zeke's in trouble :((

    ReplyDelete
  58. Oh shut UP Michaela - thug.

    ReplyDelete
  59. YAY! C;mon Michelle & Zeke!

    ReplyDelete
  60. and I eat my words when Michaela helps. YEEEEEPS

    ReplyDelete
  61. Penny, it's the same way in our household.
Sis and bro-in-law are both technophobes and totally hopeless with anything that's not on/off up/down. That works though because all the shows recorded are mine! lmao
However, I'm also their go-to person for fixing anything that goes wrong (including computers).

    ReplyDelete
  62. There's just something that I like about her, lol. She's not afraid to say what's on her mind. Will it be a winning move though, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  63. Keep Ken!!! My Ken Doll.

    ReplyDelete
  64. the editing is so good on this show. Best production ever.

    YAY!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Pour me up some more Hump Punch, please Friend. :)

    Buh-Bye love bird(s)!

    ReplyDelete
  65. YES!! They were very luck.

I want Ziggy to get voted out. Not Ken, though. Maybe Ken could one of the Millennials to change his mine.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I want Foggy to go home. Petals, Happy Birthday, Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  67. And tbc and anyone else I missed

    ReplyDelete
  68. Penny- I love that you called her Ziggy. That is hilarous. Not sure if you did it on purpose, but I love that name - Ziggy. bwhahahahahaaha!

If Ken gets voted out, he can come stay with Me. heeehee

    ReplyDelete
  69. Sliding a cool glass of punch to Petals. Anyone else?

I want Figgy gone, but I doubt it will happen

    ReplyDelete
  70. I'm back. I hope it continues and doesn't jam up again. We don't do Halloween any more. When the "pregnant nun" (and she was very pregnant and the guy who had a better beard than any grown man (and it was real) we decided they were getting too old. We take bags to the kids who live on our street, then turn out the lights.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Hey Kristen, thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Oh, I left our the women who arrived carrying babies who could barely hold up their head and a pillowcase.

    ReplyDelete
  73. If Ken and Jessica could get Adam to vote Figgy out, it would be good. I don't know though.

    ReplyDelete
  74. My bet is on Ken to be safe, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  75. Did I call her Ziggy??? LOLOLOL. It was a mistate, but the Z works.

    No, no, not Ken!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Petals, I bet your husband would love that, Petals!

    ReplyDelete
  77. C'mon Jessica - work on him! TRY HARDER!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Hi Monty! And Happy Birthday to Petals and Kristen!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Oh, I just do not want Ken to go. They need him right now or they could keep losing.

Does anyone there have the idol? Isn't it Adam?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Becky - he probably wouldn't notice. bwhahaha

    ReplyDelete
  81. Come on Adam, do the right thing.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Happy Birthday Petals and Kristen!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  83. I forgot who has idols except Dill.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Gosh darn it! Please, please, not Ken.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Monty - I may need a to-go cup of this punch, to get me thru the BB vote.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Dillweed has one, Jay has one; and I think Adam has one, but I'm not sure.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Me too, Petals. I miss so much during the pool talk, lol

    ReplyDelete
  88. So Ken is a model? But he's also witty and has survival skills?
I wuv him! PLEASE let him stay.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Happy Birthday Petals and Kristen!!! I'll bring a cake next week - better late than never. Any requests??

    ReplyDelete
  90. I think Ken is gone. I'll be very, very sad. I hope Adam changes things up.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Thanks, for the BD wishes!

    ReplyDelete
  92. Do it Adam... don't let those two intimidate you

    ReplyDelete
  93. Ken is the man! The millenials are just jealous

    ReplyDelete
  94. Cubs still 2-0 Indians being no-no'd

    ReplyDelete
  95. Oh man, Adam, do the right thing. Numbers can change.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Happy Birthday to both Petals and Kristen!! Halloween is a cool bday

    ReplyDelete
  97. Sue Gee, I would like it to go to Cubs tonight. They played bad last night.

    ReplyDelete
  98. We could call her Fizzy LOL

    ReplyDelete
  99. Hello everyone. =)

Late to the party but just in time for the show to start here.

Happy early Birthday Petals and Kristen. !!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Bwahahaha... buh-bye Figgy

    ReplyDelete
  101. Make it gooooooood. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

    ReplyDelete
  102. There is cheering going on in my house!!

    ReplyDelete
  103. Fizzy is great also but she's G-O-N-E now :)))

    ReplyDelete
  104. Adam, you don't have to explain anything. You did right. Dang, she's crying.

    ReplyDelete
  105. LOVE IT!!! WHOOOOO!!!!

And her boyfriend is NEXT! Thank you, Adam!

"Awww, whaah! I can't scrog my dirty boyfriend in the tent with 6 other people listening, pooor me!"

    ReplyDelete
  106. Now that was worth waiting for!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  107. The Millennials will all probably be angry at Adam. I'm hoping one of the other teams get to vote and vote out another Millennial to take the pressure off of him.

    ReplyDelete
  108. SueGee, I'm WS neutral this year. I'm a NL gal so rooting for the Cubs, but I'm also a Cleveland Indians fan so rooting for them too. Happy either way. I want to see it go seven games though so the long awaited championship will be really worth it for either of them.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Yaaaaa, they voted out the right person. Can't wait to see it. =)

    Thanks Jackie =)

    Everyone have a great week.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I kept mistyping Figgy as Fuggy and correcting it in the post.

    Thanks for coming by!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Thank you so much Jackie. Appreciate you giving us a place to meet.

I will not be here next Wednesday. Basketball has started up at the college and I'm working. I'll try to peek in.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Ok - see you later at the eviction if I remember. First I need to go clean up the mess I made in the kitchen ha ha ha

    ReplyDelete
  113. LOL Jackie. I called her Ziggy.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Thanks for hosting Jackie!
Now I get to watch... :)

    ReplyDelete
  115. Oh great... my Zeke is teaming up with David next week??? Not sure what to think of that.
Great show and even better party company. Thanks Jackie. Everyone have a great week and Happy Birthday to Petals and Kristen. We will definitely partay next week.

    Hugs all

    ReplyDelete
  116. Petals, if he comes to your house may I come a just swoon? He is beautiful. I think Adam made a wise choice.

Jackie, thank you for hosting. It's good to be back.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Monty - grew up in Chicagoland as a Cubs fan, but have been out here so long I'm more in the Giants & A's fandom... Happy to see them finally in a WS

    ReplyDelete
  118. Monty, I'm neutral, too. My team is the Reds. I'm just glad to see two new teams who have waited a long time to get there. Even though I am in Ohio, I'm kind of partial to the Cubbies. But if Indians win, that's fine, too.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Hey David... have a good one and will see you in the BBOTT comments

    ReplyDelete
  120. Same here, Penny. REDS all the way but I usually root for the NL in the WS except I just had to root for KC and the Royals to Cueto and Edinson could get their well deserved championship. :))

    ReplyDelete
  121. Good night all. Thanks, Jackie!!

    ReplyDelete
