Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen-X Blog Party - November 2
As Survivor airs here on the East Coast, I'll be live-blogging with the major events. As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to join in on the fun! Later on tonight, I will have a post for the BBOTT show/live eviction.
Here are the blog pool match updates from the Lovely Lifeguard Laurie:
Vanua - Orange
Chris Hammons - Cheryl in NC, Jennasmom, Lanell from TN
David Wright - Buzzmaam, MikesGirl, Sharon C
Michelle Shubert - Ed in Ohio, Nickelpeed
Zeke Smith - Beachmom, monty924 , Glenn
Takali - Purple
Adam Klein - Brian, Kelsey NY, Sharon N
Jessica Lewis - Cupcake, Jean, Petals
Ken McNickle - Dolores in Hollywood, Margo, Russ
Taylor Lee Stocker - Donna in FL, Janice from GA, Stephanie in Baltimore
Ikabula - Green
Bret LaBelle - Brandi Peralta, Judi Sweeney, Skyriverblue
Hannah Shapiro - David, meb, Terry is a Texan
Jay Starrett - Becky, Jackie, Shayne
Michaela Bradshaw - Donna in NY, Krysta G, Pinky
Sunday Burquest - Brenda, Kristen from Ohio, SueGee
Will Wahl - Cheryl, Indiana Jane
OUT
x Rachel Ako
Mari Takahashi - cwcamper, Marthalight
Paul Wachter - ChickMc, PDX Granny
Lucy Huang - Delee, ML
CeCe Taylor - Anonymouse, Merrilee
Figgy Figueroa - Donna in Alabama, Laurie
Fourteen are left. Who will be voted out tonight? Survivor fans ready? Let's go!
Oh, geez. Taylor's world is grey without Figgy. While Adam thinks he made the right choice in voting her out, Taylor promises revenge.
On Vanua, David works on his trust with Zeke, tells him about finding the second idol. Zeke takes the trust seriously ... for the time being.
Time for the Reward Challenge! Work together to unwind, release three balls, push them through a tunnel, place all three on a perch. The prize is a chef cooking for them. Second, kebabs.
Vanua wins first place! Ikabula gets second place!
On Takali, Ken and Jessica are sizing up which is best for their own strategy -- Adam or Taylor. They think Taylor might be more honest.
On Ikabula, Michaela, worried about showing how strong she is in comps, works on her social game. Hannah thinks Bret is lying about being a funeral director. (He's a cop.) Hannah thinks he's a cop. She has her fellow Millennials also wondering.
Immunity Challenge time! Throwing coconuts into a net, flag with numbers drop, retrieve key with combination from flag numbers, sandbags, target.
Takali wins Immunity! Vanua takes the second Immunity! It will be the first tribal for Ikabula.
Bret and Sunday are sure that one will go because there are four Millennials against them. The Millennials plan to split the vote in case of an idol. On the second vote they all vote Bret. Meanwhile, Jay is realizing how big a threat Michaela is in the game and works his buddies to vote her out. But it might not happen. Hmm.
The tally:
Bret, Bret, Michaela, Michaela, Michaela, Michaela
She lit into Jay. Hannah goes all panicky.
I'm sorry to see Michaela go. She is one of the strongest most consistent players this season.
The merge is next week.
Howdy Jackie, Vincent and all that follow No food here tonight, hope someone has something to eat other than leftover halloween candy!!
ReplyDeleteSueGee on the LeftCoast
I'm working, but I'll check in.
ReplyDelete~*~*~*~* SPLASH ~*~*~*~*
ReplyDeleteHi everyone!
Sue, yes! I have BBQ ribs and corn on the cob!

Thanks Petals!! I have a bad upper respiratory something-or-other and I need something spicy! No beer tonight
ReplyDeleteOh no! sorry you aren't feeling well, Sue. :(
ReplyDeleteHi folks
ReplyDeletehappy belated birthday, Petals
ReplyDeleteInteresting duo - Zeke & Dillweed.
ReplyDeleteHey, Jackie, Vincent, Penny, Petals,SueG and others who arrive while I am having to sign into Google.
ReplyDeleteJOE!! Hey, and thank you pumpkin! 🎃
ReplyDeletehey BeckY!
ReplyDeleteMichaeala tellin it like it is. LOL
ReplyDeleteWe have any cake left?? I LOVE cake LOL
ReplyDeleteHi to Becky & Joe
ReplyDeleteI have some birthdy cake - it's devils food with cream cheese frosting *passing slice to Sue*
ReplyDeleteI think my 82 Gramma was more athletic than Dillweed. *smh* But he does try...
ReplyDelete(82 yr OLD, that was)
ReplyDeletemmmmmmmmm thanks Petals
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better, SueGee
ReplyDeletec'mon Ken!
ReplyDeletethis comp seems VERY geared toward the orange team, with the BB player guy...
ReplyDeleteMikayla must have played ball. She rocks the shooting comps.
ReplyDeleteOH NO! Wow!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better, Jackie. SueGee, hope you start feeling better, too.
ReplyDeleteof course she played. She's a force.
ReplyDeleteI so rarely get sick but my dh brought this one back from his trip to Colorado. I'm well medicated...
ReplyDeleteCubs up 1-0 after 1/2 inning
I want to see what's happening. Darn.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday, Petals. I can't remember if I wished you one on FB or not. I've been sick since Monday. I blame SueGee! (It actually sounds like the same illness.)
ReplyDeleteLate but I made it before the show was over, lol. Howdy to all of you upthread and Jackie.
ReplyDeleteoh no! Thanks Ms J - sorry you are sick! :(
ReplyDeletePetals, I brought champagne to celebrate your birthday tonight with the gang. ♥
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Birthday, Petals.
ReplyDeleteMONTY!!!!!!!!! hello
ReplyDeleteSo our remote is broken in the main TV room, so I am watching in the kitchen. I hate these breakfast table chairs, but that is how much I wanted to 'see' all of you :)
Howdy Monte!
ReplyDeleteJackie - sorry to hear you're sick too. Hope it passes quickly! I hate sore throats.
oh get OVER it, MIchelle! @@ Yes, boy, vote her out!
ReplyDeleteUh oh - I am avoiding the political talk.
Jackie, feel better soon... sorry to hear you've been under the weather.
ReplyDeleteMichea is not my kinda chick, but I have to admire her dedication to the game. I forget if she's a Mille or a GenX, tho.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who thinks that Dillweed is going far into this season? He's just getting that kind of edit.
ReplyDeleteShe's a Millie
ReplyDeleteweirdo - calling out the cop. BLUE LIVES MATTER!
ReplyDeleteNow they're sounding like BB houseguests
ReplyDeleteNo, Monty, I agree. His pasty, skinny butt is lasting longer than I'd imagined.
ReplyDeleteYikes - so the MIlles can actually SMELL cop? Scary.
He smells like donuts?
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Halloween candy, I have two large bags of Tootsie Roll Pops. I have no idea why I still buy candy at this point. I had one trick or treater and it was my 6 yo nephew who's Dad drove him to my house, LOL.
ReplyDeleteDig in folks!! Grape is my fav :)))
Hey, no problems. I was afraid I wouldn't be here tonight. I have a friend here recovering from surgery. She had no place to go except home and lives in a house on piers on a river -- alone. She is 81 and I just couldn't let that happen, even in the midst of no countertops.
ReplyDeleteShe is doing well. Thank goodness she is in bed, hopefully asleep. She doesn't like TV and will talk through everything.
She has three boys and a daughter-in-law, but one is in the nursing home paralyzed on half his body (I met her there because her son fell in love with Momma and I did with him at how sweet he was to her. The other is in horrible health and his wife works. The youngest son is on the road most of the week. He came for the surgery, spent the night in his mother's room and brought her out to my house. Then he drove 12 hours to be in a meeting the next morning - in another state. He also came into the house with a hugh container of slice brisket, sauce and buns because he knew that we had no stove. We have eaten off it two days and there is more there. I had bought a roasted chicken at the store. We have the three day rule at our house. The third day it goes to the freezer, you eat it or it goes in the trash. I am going to ask Beverly if she minds if I freeze it. I can send it home with her when she leaves. Jackie, I apologize for being so off topic, but I had to let you know.
I'm done with work, but won't make it home in time to see any of it. Thank God for DVR's. Meant to say hi everyone.
ReplyDeleteso all of you pet-lovers will appreciate this:
ReplyDeleteHalloween night, I have my candy & my door open and am seeing around 5 kids every few minutes.
Suddenly, there is an adorable (clearly an inside pet) cat on my porch! Crackly-meowing and rubbing and wanting me to take her inside. She was lost from her real home, which was prolly my neighbors (but which one??). I couldn't take it, her looking at me thru the glass - I had to blow out my jack'o'lantern and turn off my light.
I pray she found her real home. But I know ME - if I'd looked at her cute face for one minute longer, I'd have taken her inside and she'd be in my lap right now.
LOL My funny Halloween kitty story. BTW - she was gone at 3am, so hopefully she made it to her real home.
Becky - you are so generous! God has a special place in Heaven for you! *prayers * for your friend, who is blessed to know you.
ReplyDeleteRemember you saying that on FB, Petals. Hope she found her way back too.
ReplyDeleteGo KEN DOLL!
ReplyDeleteHi Becky. Agree with Petals ♥
ReplyDeleteYou are a good friend Becky!!
ReplyDeleteMonty - I LOVE animals, and it was so hard to keep turning her away (gently). But in my heart, I know she found the right front door. ;)
ReplyDeleteHI PennY!
ReplyDeleteThere's you Ken Doll :)))
ReplyDeleteMonty - ONE? Uno? really? I had scads! The cars were bumper to bumper on my street when I closed up shop.
ReplyDeleteYAY KEN !!!! WHOOOOOO
is one team named Vanilla?
ReplyDeleteyay, my Zeke is safe
ReplyDeleteThey;d better not vote-out Mich. She's their only hope, but if they recognize her strength, she's a sitting duck.
ReplyDeleteSo who does it look like will go home? I missed the first part of the show tonight.
ReplyDeleteNo one comes around here until it is dark, and it rained later on - so we had maybe 50 or so.
ReplyDeleteMy Jessica is still in the game - translucent as she is, LOL
ReplyDeleteOMG - CANNOT wait to see Hacksaw Ridge! Mel is back with an Oscar contender!
ReplyDeleteapparently the term "rhetorical question" didn't register with that tribe. LOL
ReplyDeleteMOnty - not sure. Sunday or ...bret? Are the names they are floating.
ReplyDeleteAhh, my Ken Doll!! <3
ReplyDeleteLOL Joe.
ReplyDeleteMikayla is in the majority, she should be safe...unless someone flips the script.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Petals. There are kids on this block but it's a treck up to the houses because most are on hills and they don't even bother. They just drive the kids into town where it is easier, I guess??!!!
ReplyDeleteThe house where I lived in the mid 90's, I would run out of candy in an hour and send the ex for more. One year I counted 230 kids. Small enclosed community off a main state highway in the really rural area of our county and everyone took advantage of it, lol.
hi Tbc! Yeah, Ken Doll came thru (homina homina)
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which - I am sure that I read about another All-Star Survivor edition with
my #1 (Ozzie) & #2 (Joe) boyfriends participating? Anyone else hear anything like that?
Not Bret! I like him! Get rid of the chick, stop cop-hating! (that's the trouble with kids these days!)
ReplyDeleteMikayla is the only one of them that I care about staying. Seriously. She's a Survivor fan's dream. :)))
ReplyDeletePetals, who is Dillweed?
ReplyDeleteMOnty the costumes were so adorable this year. I saw so many super heroes and princesses with adorable make-up & accessories. It was warm, so no one had to bundle up. It was a great night (until Little Orphan Annie-Cat showed up) LOL
ReplyDeleteNow agree on the Cop thing. That's just a stupid reason unless they think it will turn out like what's his name from a few season's back or Derrick in BB. I don't know the context of why they are ragging on the Cops.
ReplyDeleteDavid is Dillweed. The one that weighs less than Michaela's hair.
ReplyDeleteoh NO! I knew they'd turn on Michaela! :( She will be an AllStar
ReplyDeleteMy nephew was adorable too. Didn't get to see any others but saw a ton of them on FB.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot Becky. Sending out prayers.
ReplyDeleteThese guys don't have a brain cell one. Mich is the best one on the team!
ReplyDeleteThis will be a travesty if they evict Michaela *smh*
ReplyDeleteWorld Serious tied 1-1 btm 3rd
ReplyDelete6 - 3, top of the 7th
DeleteGo Cubs Go
Chic(ago)Mc
They are all scared of her, she showed her strength too soon. Being good is a double-edged sword, like with Ozzie - he had to win Immunity every week to stay safe.
ReplyDeleteHi!! Late to the party tonight...
ReplyDeleteOzzie and Joe. Heaven!!
SueGee, I have the WS on the TV in the other room. It has been a total diversion and a nice one during this time. I honestly am rooting for both of them, lol. I'm a NL girl so I'd love to see the Cubs finally win it, and I have to root for my OHIO team so I'd love to see the Indians win it. Win-win either way for me. :)))
ReplyDeleteUt oh
ReplyDeleteI am leaning toward Cleveland b/c of Monty & because they did NOT have the degenerate Charlie Sheen sing the Anthem. GO TRIBE
ReplyDeleteoh no. This is soooooo wrong.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDang... that was a fine TC there. #BLINDSIDE
ReplyDelete#Blindsidehistory
ReplyDeleteOh wow!!
ReplyDeleteChicago area raised, I have to go with the Cubbies...
ReplyDeletewow, I almost expected her to take a swing when she went back for her shoes.
ReplyDeleteHere comes the panic attack
ReplyDeleteand THAT is why she is scary.
ReplyDeleteme too Joe, seriously!
ReplyDeleteJay peed in his pants a little bit when she came back for her shoes.
ReplyDeleteLOL
LOL @ Petals, but I hear that he is there tonight to support the TRIBE. :)))
ReplyDeleteI just love this WS because I don't have a team to rag on or hate. It's all good this year!
Idiots!
ReplyDeleteJackie, I hope you are at 100% soon. Take it easy and get well.
I think it might have been a little early for that move. The millenials show surprisingly little teamwork for a generation raised on participation trophies. LOL. They turn on each other at the drop of a hat. I wonder if they think the old people are easy pickings in the individual game because they are soooo old.
ReplyDeleteCharlie and his dad Martin Sheen are actually life long die-hard Cincinnati Reds fans, so that's a cool thing with me. MY TEAM :)))
ReplyDeleteNational League. Cubs.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fun (but short for me) night. Until next week y'all. My Ken Doll lives to see another week....
Night everyone!! Hope you feel better soon Jackie! I'm going for some soup tonight I think..
ReplyDeleteSueGee on the LeftCoast
Maybe that's the problem with Mille's Joe???
ReplyDeleteI hope that Jackie, SueG and Becky's friend are all feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm missing all of this. Crap!
ReplyDeleteNow that's a typical millenial response. They are all destined to be rich and famous. Just ask them.
ReplyDeleteditto Monty, re Milles! Easy come, easy go.
ReplyDeleteSee you all next Wed. Hope all are feeling better, soon.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I don't like returning players, Michaela is one I wouldn't mind seeing return on a future season.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by!
been a pretty decent season lately. I wasn't loving it until they split up the tribes. Now it's been pretty interesting every week.
ReplyDeleteSee you next week.
Love you guys! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI will be asleep for BB (but my friend always updates me...)
xoxox
Yep, Joe and others. Thank you Jackie for opening up the pool for all of us tonight. SueGee, get to feeling better too. See you all at the BBOTT post later.
ReplyDeleteSad for Michaella.
ReplyDeleteThey might regret eliminating the strongest player on their team quite so early.
ReplyDeleteWOW I wouldn't be surprised if Ikabula does terrible from here on out, they eliminated their person who's personally won them several challenges.
ReplyDelete
