The Amazing Race: April 13 Blog Party

I'm going to keep having trouble with this later hour for the show! Please bear with me as I'm way tired after a very hectic day at my workplace. I will do my best to live blog the show's events as they air here on the East Coast. The real party is in the comments area -- come join in on the fun!

The Lovely Lifeguard Sharon C has made the random match-ups for the blog pool:

Shamir/Sara - Indiana Jane, Jenna's Mom
London/Logan - Delee, Sharon N
Seth/Olive - ML, Cheryl in NC
Brooke/Scott - Chrob61, Becky
Tara/Joey - SueGee, Willie J, Monty924
Becca/Floyd - Janice, Brian
Liz/Michael - Judi Sweeney, Dolores in Hollywood, Ed in Ohio
Matt/Redmond - MerriLee, Jackie
Vanck/Ashton - Nickelpeed, Donna in FL

PHILIMINATED:
Jessica/Francesca - Brenda, David, Sharon C

Are we ready? Yes, we are!

Sara is still not happy with Shamir -- as she should be. Most of the teams are getting along fine. The teams are off to Tanzania next. There's a Blind Double U-Turn ahead. Will Vanck and Ashton get even with Matt/Redmond for not keeping their deal on the last leg? They're all on the same flight.

Uh-oh -- Matt/Redmond alienated more teams by cutting in line.

U-Turn - Seth and Olive U-turned by Joey/Tara
Matt and Redmond U-Turned by Vanck/Ashton

Detour is either Build It or Weave It. They're building a wooden desk or weaving two baskets. Aw, Shamir got a splinter.

Roadblock -- They have to find foods from a list at a marketplace and deliver it.

Michael knows his foods! He and Liz are the first team heading towards the Pit Stop.

Pit Stop
1. Liz/Michael -- won a trip to Amsterdam
2. Tara and Joey
3. Vamck and Ashton
4. Matt and Redmond
5. Becca and Floyd
6. Scott and Brooke
7. London and Logan

OH NOES! Becca and Floyd don't have their passports, they have to get them before they can check in!

8. Shamir and Sara
9. Becca and Floyd
10. Seth and Olive -- Philiminated

  2. I hope no one is outed tonight :o(

  3. Hi Jackie, SueGee, and anyone else who shows up. =)

    ReplyDelete
  4. I think that isn't going to happen. Maybe Shamir will be outed as a jerk ... but that's not really outing.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I think he outed himself last week as that Jackie =)

Windows 10 update has been downloading all day for me. Says 90% complete right now. Really put a cramp in doing anything all day for me. At least I remembered to set the DVR for TAR so I don't have to go looking for bootleg copy online. Only good thing about those copies is no comercials.

  6. If it is the WIN10 update I did this week, it also requires a restart....

  7. Hi, David. I'm kind of quiet because I've been updating the post and a certain cat felt it was time to have a hairball ick.

  8. Whew... I've made a party on the actual night of the show. I have wings with Tai Chili glaze, ranch and blue cheese if any are hungry. Hi folks!!

  9. David - The CBS website always has the show the day after.

  10. Yes SueGee, the new "creaters" update. Almost 6gb in size so far which at my internet speed is a lot of downloading for 1 day.

  11. If any of you DVRd last night's Survivor, do you have access to it? Only asking because I did and that's how I watched it after the fact... and now it won't let me play it. Hmmm

  12. Hi Monty and Sharon. Glad you made it. lol =)

    Wings sound great. Yummmmmy

  13. Hey, Jackie, Vincent (check my left pocket for some "happy stuff"), life guard Sharon, SueG, David, Monty, and others who arrive.

Jackie, I really feel sorry for you. I don't know if I will make the end and you have worked a lot harder than most of us,the show is on an hour later. I am usually in bed pretty close to 9-9:30. I do come read the notes left.

  14. Howdy Monty & Sharon. I did DVR it but erased it because I watched it "live" I do have CBS all-access right now and could watch it there again I would guess

    ReplyDelete
  15. If you are looking for a bootleg copy Monty, I can steer you in the right direction. Because of weather in my state last night I had to find a copy to watch the second half of survivor online not having CBS all access.

  16. Thanks, David. I can get it on the net but I have it saved to the DVR and it won't play. Wanted to show someone what happened last night because me explaining it doesn't have the impact. It won't load on the DVR, grrr.

  17. David I have been looking for a place to stream the show so I can watch with everyone here...and I know there used to be places galore. CBS all-access only lets me see local CBS channel live

    ReplyDelete
  18. I don't think you need CBS Access to watch it online on the CBS site, the day after, though.

  19. Did anyone see Zeks interview today? He alleges Verner has been gay for years, but hides it. And didn't the policeman last season ask Zeek if he was "that way" too? He recognized Zeke as one of "them" because he was too. He (varner got what he deserved.)

  20. Dingo's link used to have a list of live CBS east coast feeds online SueGee. I just checked and they only have 2 left. Got a 404 error on one and my anti-virus won't let me go to the other site. lol.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Looks that way Jackie. The all-access includes "bonus" footage

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes, you can. Sorry to be bringing it up. I'm just trying to fast forward to the TC to show someone and I can't. ugh

    ReplyDelete
  23. I remember them all coming out as gay last year Becky on one of the episodes. They bonded on it

    ReplyDelete
  24. Now back to TAR! Sorry, Jackie.

    ReplyDelete
  25. That's kind of what happened when I tried David. Dead links or dangerous links

    ReplyDelete
  26. On that front, I won't use any of the online streams when BB gets interupted here. I just wait and watch it later. Fortunately that doesn't happen that often because we have two CBS affiliates in two totally different cities. Again, fortunate.

  27. Hey everyone! Hope it's a good night!

    ReplyDelete
  28. These "thrown together" teams are working together better than some the previous set teams did. Or have I missed a knock-down rude couple.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I've lucked out with BB and sports here. WCBS out of NYC bought sister station WLNY -- we love new york - out of Long Island. When the main station covers sports, the WLNY carries regular programming preempted by said sports.

  30. Judi, sorry. I am trying to stay awake.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hi Judi Quiet night here.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Becky - Shamir is a problem.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I remember how the Sunday night shows would get delayed forever because of football games

    ReplyDelete
  34. Michael in Amsterdam, he looks like he would be one of the druggie tourists. lol I can make fun of him because I also am an old hippie long hair. =)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Wow - nice underwear adv on Jackie's main page tonight LOL

    ReplyDelete
  36. Summer of Love's 50th anniversary this year David. SF is gearing up..

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oh, no... I thought it was going to be another team that lost their passports

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hi Becky and SueGee! You guys are right! These thrown together teams seem to work better together!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Well SueGee, our team is still in there and in second place tonight. Not too shabby.

Everyone, have a great Easter weekend. See you all next week.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thank you guys for coming by! I must fade away now ...

    ReplyDelete
  41. Jackie, thanks for hosting. Go to bed! Get some rest.I'm off to bed myself. LYM

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thanks for staying up late Jackie =)

Everyone have a great week. And Happy Easter to all.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Night everyone! Thanks Jackie!

  44. 2 hour show next week so it should start an hour earlier.

SueGee, a quick search and test came up with this for live streaming CBS online. Compression is still not enough for my bandwidth to watch live. I kept getting stops and starts.

  46. I am so mad I forgot. My husband asked me to go looking at paint. I did. It was a waste of time. We could not agree on any paint at all. By the time I got home, I was too frustrated to remember TAR. Crap.
