BB19: Megan's Exit, Pendant of Safety Show Blog Party - July 2

As tonight's show airs, I'll be live-blogging and updating this entry on a regular basis. Please refresh the page to get the latest news! The real blog party is in the comments section -- please drop in and share your thoughts!

Those of you with the live feeds know there were some happenings in the house today. I'll be posting a full report a bit later tonight and ask that you not post spoilers from the live feeds in comments on this show post. Some of the people reading or taking part on the show posts don't know (maybe don't want to know) spoilers. Thank you!

On with the show ...

Okay, we have to get through the "previously on Big Brother" bit. They end it with the fact that there will be a shocking revelation. Although it's technically a spoiler, it's isn't really -- it was all over the internet.

Finally we pick it up at the end of the ceremony. Paul is shocked he didn't go on the block. Jillian cries. Megan is upset that Cody made a personal attack when he put her up on the block. Josh attacked her. She's never been so anxious in her life, doesn't know if she can take it.

Josh and Jillian bond. A Mark/Elena showmance is starting and leads us into the Jessica/Cody showmance. Raven and Matt? Hmm. Josh is emotional.

Time for the Have Not selection! Cody chooses the first five Have Nots of the summer. He asks for volunteers -- Josh, Ramses, Megan, Jillian, Paul volunteer. The Have Not room has spiky egg carton kind of beds. There is a Have Not Escape -- only if they give into Temptation. The first to the DR to ask for a key needs to choose between two colored spikes, wrong one extra week.

Into Megan telling Alex that Jessica called her "panda." It all blows up. Jessica denies it. Alex blows up at Megan. Megan cries in the Diary Room and says no one trusts her and she "can't do this."

Now the other hamsters are talking about how long Megan has been in the Diary Room. Kevin is thinking fatherly about the situation. Finally Cody comes and gathers all in the living room.  He has an official BB envelope -- "Due to a personal emergency, Megan will not be participating in the game."

Cody has to put someone else on the block the next day. His crew is pressuring him to put Alex on the block. He tells us that he likes Alex and thinks she's one whose game he respects.

Paul tells them he's taking the Have Not Temptation. They gather in the HN room. He takes the Orange spike and gets it! He's free from being a Have Not.

They all go to the living room with a video of the Den of Temptation -- each week America will vote to give someone a temptation, if someone takes the temptation, a consequence will be unleashed.

One by one, they go into the room. All get envelopes. Paul gets a glowing table with a pendant. The Pendant of Protection will protect him from the next three evictions. He only has to reveal if he's nominated. It also said that someone will be in jeopardy the next three weeks. He takes it (of course).

One of the hamsters will be cursed from his random pick of a bottle. He doesn't know who he's picking.

The Den video appears. It tells them the Temptation has been taken. The consequence will be unleashed in "due time." Be worried the next time you're called to the den.

America's Vote - The Ring of Replacement is this one coming up.

Cody bonds with Alex, tells her he wants to work with her.

Nominations time again ... has to name someone to replace Megan. He nominates ... Alex. (Probably because she told him that she wanted to break up his group. He wants her to compete in the PoV.)

  11. I guess Josh is interesting in a psychological case study sort of way

    ReplyDelete
  12. Josh is very, very young emotionally.

  13. Nvm- he is explaining now

  14. Mark's parents died, as I recall, and he was raised by his grandparents.

    ReplyDelete
  15. That's just sad about Mark.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Mark does have someone in his family life - in his bio and interviews, if he doesn't still live with his grandparents, he sees them all the time and they're his world. It's one of the things I liked about him before the show aired.

  17. Dang, I almost forgot!! Hi Jackie, thank you so much for hosting us.

    Hi everyone!!!

  18. I can't decide if Cody is going to be the hated person of the season. LOL

  19. Hello Everyone.

I am liking my pool pick les and less all the time, Raven. She and Jessica I can do without completely. Jessica is just acting like a mean girl. She is singulary focused on getting Alex out.

  20. I think Cody does have a personality, but he has already said he's all business. He's not there to make friends. The bad thing is he needs friends to make it through this game; and it looks like Jessica. LOL

  21. Betting this is the last week 5 people volunteer to be havenots.

  22. I'm rather disgusted that Cody is so enamored with mean girl Jessica.

  24. Man, everyone is dumping on Megan. Wow.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Did Jessica admit that she called Alex Pow Pow?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Megan should have done it differently or kept her mouth shut. She should have blown up at Jessica when she said it, if she did, and Jessica would have been the one to look like crap.

    ReplyDelete
  27. This is the most interesting group in a long time.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I read that Mark lost his father at a really young age, then lost his mother at 17. So, he was basically raised by a single mom.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh no! That's sad about Megan. I didn't like her, but she was bullied in to leaving. How sad.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Wow, Jessica is a piece of work. Mean girl is right!

  31. HELLO!

    Sorry - almost slept thru

    YAY, Meghan gone

  32. David & Sharon - Agree!

    ReplyDelete
  33. can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen

    ReplyDelete
  34. Had no business on Big Brother

    ReplyDelete
  35. I wish the show had gone into a bit more detail than they did, at least to TV viewers, about Megan's departure. She suffered from PTSD due to being raped during her military service. Following her departure she spent several days in hospital. She deserves more understanding than just saying she left for personal reasons.

  36. Nasty Raven called Alex Pow Pow! I dislike Her

    1. All of the articles that Babe been written about her decision to leave have mentioned her sexual assault during her time in the Navy at Norfolk.

    2. Writing this on my phone. "Babe" should have been "have."

  41. It's going to be Paul I bet.

  42. And maybe the rodeo clown?

    ReplyDelete
  43. I knew it!!! Why would people do that???? Yikes.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I voted for Alex to get the temptation, but I heard Paul got it. No comfirmation of that though.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I would not do that. Sorry

    ReplyDelete
  46. Stop with "your boy" and "friendship". So done!

    ReplyDelete
  47. so he didnt get to choose..haha

    ReplyDelete
  48. Now they are going to bully Josh. How old are these people?

    ReplyDelete
  49. There was an article about Megan on another site a few days ago. It said Megan was assaulted, and if I"m recalling correctly, rape was mentioned. Agree with Brent that there should be more understanding and respect for what happened to her.

However, if Big Brother was aware of her past, I also agree that she should have never been accepted to be on a show that tends to get a little volatile now and then... especially with yelling at each other.

    ReplyDelete
  50. wow, Sharon. If that's the case, she probably shouldn't have gone on BB. Poor woman.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Paul better pray that he is NOT nominated for the next 3 weeksor after that hell be gone

    ReplyDelete
  52. The article said sexually assaulted, not rape specifically. But that is what I took away from the article also, was that it was probably rape.

    ReplyDelete
  53. sexual assault. Not rape. There is a difference, just sayin. Also - if she is that fragile that she can't be around more than 15 people who may not like her? She is on the wrong show.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Never saw a group of such vain people...showmance trio.. Cody, Jessica, Raven, Matt, Mark and Elven...or whatever is her name. My favorite is Kevin but he has no game but he should ally with Paul, Christmas, Alex and Cosplay dude. Please American see the light and do not let this so called hot people rule.

  55. Make it interesting. Save Cowboy

    ReplyDelete
  56. Uh oh. She just got nominated. LOL

  57. Thank you so much Jackie. Appreciate a place to come. Is anyone blogging the Bachelorette? I won't be here tomorrow night, but just curious.

    See everyone Wednesday!!

  58. I really hope Alex can find a way to stick around. I like her.

  59. Thanks for having us, Jackie. See you all Wednesday...

  60. thanks Jackie. =)

    Everyone have a great 4th. =)

  61. Thank you, Jackie!

    Always a pleasure everyone!!

  62. I linked the Megan article to her local paper in a live feeds report a few days ago if anyone wants to look back to check it out. I think it was the Friday evening report.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Thanks as always Jackie for having us over! Goodnight all!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Beverly - I agree! The level of vanity & superficiality is shocking, even for this show & their ages.
Mouse! Hey girl! Yes - save cowboy!

Re the Meghan rape/PTSD. Regardless of what happened to her in her past, it is a weak move to use it as an "out" for the show. She came on with SUCH bravado about her military past, her ability to be duplicitous, etc...and one person tells her he doesn't like her so she crumbles?
Call me insensitive, but I just don't buy Meghan or her excuse for leaving. Sorry.

    Yes have a good 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th of July and...

    Happy Independence Day, Everyone!

Thank you Ms Jackie. Hope Vincent does OK with the fireworks.

  65. Things that make me go Hmmmm? How does Paul win the America's temptation vote when he's not even close to the top of the popularity poll?

    ReplyDelete
  66. I think labeling Jessica as a racist is a bit harsh but what she said was more racially insensitive.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Well, I watched the show very late tonight/today and will say this on the entire Megan story. She may or may not have heard Jessica correctly with the Pao Pao vs. Panda thing. She still spread it and labeled it as a racist comment. Okay, that's one thing and in my opinion is Big Brother and playing the game. The fact that she melted down over people being mean to her just shows that she never would have lasted the entire game or even have a shot of winning anything including making it to jury. She signed up for it and was psych evaluated just the same as the others so... I'm surprised they let her in there with a history of PTSD in the first place. True or not, BB shouldn't have put her in the house. Did she let them know that??? We don't know. Anyway, she's gone now. BB didn't show Jessica calling Alex a Panda. She called her Pao Pao. That isn't racist. I've called her Pao Pao 2.0 myself and it wasn't racist. She honestly looks like and reminds me or Pao Pao. I think Jessica is mean girlish with it, where I'm not, but I'm not in the house.

My standout favorites from Sunday's episode are Kevin, Mark and Jason (whistlenut)... love them. Of the girls, I like Alex and that's about it. Gonna be a great summer and sorry that I missed the party. :)))

    ReplyDelete
  68. Ditto Monty. We have labeled several of the HGs "Devin 2.0", "Pao 2.0", etc. Never meant anything racist by it.
I love Kevin & Jason & Mark. Mark is so dependent on Elena's approval, tho - he asks her permission to do anything, from voting to going to the bathroom! He is kind of a pansy, hope he mans-up!
Codys ego is turning me off.
