BB19: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - August 23

As the show airs here, I'll be live-blogging and constantly updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

How many weeks are they going to have Cody walking over the table? Yes, we're starting with a recap.

They say ZingBot is back and "more ruthless than ever." And, we're into the show.

Christmas tells us that if Mark wins veto, her next target is pawn Jason. Kevin tells Jason that he thinks Matt will go if Mark saves himself. Kind words go between Mark, Josh and Christmas. Christmas honestly likes Mark.

Paul goes to talk to both Josh and Christmas. Paul tells them it's probably better to not have pairs in the final five. He says that he'd prefer Jason go before Alex. They talk about the five being themselves, plus Kevin and Raven.

(Ew, Raven.)

Teary time for Mark, both reading a bible in the bedroom and in the Diary Room to us. He's lonely.

Time to pick players for the veto comp! It's back to the normal random picks. Christmas draws Houseguest's Choice and goes for Raven. She tells us that she blacked out when she picked her. Matt also gets Houseguest's Choice -- he goes for Paul. Jason picks ... MARK.

Jason is upset because Christmas chose Raven instead of Alex. Christmas tries to talk her way out of it. Does he believe her?

Mark tells his woes to Paul.

Then it's ZingBot time! I'm never sure why people are in such joy to be insulted! Oh my, Trump jokes? Kevin won't bow to him. Good.

Mark - Bisexual? Every time he tried to get sexual with Elena, she said "Bye." While Mark cries in the DR, Josh laughs.

Alex - Carries around a lot of dead weight ... Jason.

Raven - The clownitard, worst punishment ever. Oh, wait, just your face.

Josh - You shed so many tears this summer, too bad you can't shed weight.

Paul - Last season, you taught me friendship and stuff, like how to lose a half-million dollars.

Matt - The only thing you've done is Raven.

Kevin - Like to use saran wrap to preserve your youth, too freaking late.

Alex - Cat ears and wieners.

Christmas - No coal in her stocking, goes onto sing about her broken foot.

ZingBot needs help to get home, time for the veto comp.

And, it's the slip and slide we usually see as an HoH endurance type comp playing out on the live feeds. We did not see this. Christmas isn't allowed to play.

The whole theme is based on Trump/Putin collusion. Y'know, it might be best not to bring politics into this. Hasn't the show had enough controversy without that?

Jason is making progress -- he filled the little bowl and got the larger scoop. Paul is really working on the big bowl as is Matt. Raven and Mark just keep falling.

Jason wins the Power of Veto!

Jason's punishment costume is extremely over. He has a point about going bald and the helmet rubbing more hair off. Alex's punishment is also over.

Mark tries to convince Christmas and Josh that she needs him in the house. He swears loyalty and big moves. He points out Alex and Jason are liked by all, Alex should go because she stands a good chance to win.

Editing to make it seem like it just might happen ...

Time for the veto meeting. Jason saves himself. Christmas puts Mark in his place, telling him listening to his argument last night fulfilled her previous promise to him.

Mark tells us he won't give up.

I wonder that myself, Glenn. They may be to frightened of it though???

  12. Hi. (Again, sorry for any residual angst...)
I can't stay ONLY because I am sooo tired and we have surgeries tomorrow, so it's a long day. Plus, I might win the Powerball and I'll need my energy to spend those millions, LOL (one can dream)
Have fun! See you tomorrow night ♥

  15. Kevin could have never done this comp

    ReplyDelete
  16. I saw Mark pointing out to Christmas and Josh the error of what they are doing in evicting him, but just like everyone else, absolutely no one wants to make a move until they are going to be walking out the door.

    Hello everyone, =)

Someone please walk in the house and start smacking a few heads to wake them up.

  17. Seems like hed been in that silly outfit forver

  18. Christmas saying she had a brain fart picking Raven. Good luck with Surgery Petals. I wonder if they will show them watching the eclipse!

  19. Hi David. Mark's made a lot of good arguments all around since the veto meeting on Monday... I honestly don't think they want to listen to him. Too bad because he could shake some things up if anyone would work with him. I'd just as soon see Matt go.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Matt's only contribution this season is 600 bowls of cereal

    ReplyDelete
  21. These sheeple are too scared to their on move unless Paul tells them to switch it up.

  22. ~~~~Splash~~~~ I made it!! Hi to all in the pool and to the hostess with the mostess and her side kick Vincent.

  24. Sliding a STELLA to SueGee

  25. LOL, they're all crazy :)))))

  26. Lets see if Zingbot get political like I have read about. That is the last thing they should be adding to this terrible season, another reason for people not to continue to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Zing Bot should have lots of material to use on this group of houseguests!

    ReplyDelete
  28. One Trump joke went through about a robot on a reality show becoming president. I would guess that should be the only one they will air. Oh, and he said he's President ZingBot.

    ReplyDelete
  29. They might show the eclipse viewing party, Glenn. I think that all happened before the Veto meeting on Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Maybe I need to be Squeegee from the Alt-Leftcoast tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Didn't think u could like Josh less. I was wrong

    ReplyDelete
  32. He ain't laughing now..bwahaha

    ReplyDelete
  33. Christmas' ding was the best.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hey squeegee!! Haha at alt-left coast!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I lo e Zingbot! Still working, just checking in. Hi everyone. Thank you, Jackie andVincent for hosting us!! Greatly appreciated!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm just mad that they used this comp as a veto and we didn't get to watch it live on the feeds... robbed the live feeders of the best comp to watch. :(((

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's too weird having this competition for veto

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh poor Matt, he may have to win

    ReplyDelete
  39. Its amazing they don't get really hurt during this.

    ReplyDelete
  40. So true what you wrote Jackie on the blog. But they are in California and only know what their little circle of friends tell them they should believe as far as politics go. Nothing exists between the coasts, don't you know that?. lol

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No one needs a "little circle of friends" to tell them what a lousy president Trump is. All they need are eye & ears.

  41. So tired of the Paul show.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Tired of then all. Cody for fan favorite just to tell them how much we hate the whole cast

    ReplyDelete
  43. David - I'm on a coast ... well, about 15 miles inland from one. I just don't like politics thrown into everything. It's one thing if the houseguests talk politics among themselves. It's another for production to go there.

    ReplyDelete
  44. The paranoia about Zingbot's lead in to the comp was rampant afterwards. They all speculated that the President had been impeached until Kevin, the voice of reason, told them that it couldn't happen that fast.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Or whoever it was the left 10 minutes in

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think I will vote for Cameron for fan fav

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hi everyone! Late arrival here.

Te slip-n-slide is fun to watch, but every year I think someone will be seriously injured. Luckily, it's only been aching muscles... so far.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Most of these punishments last way too long imho

    ReplyDelete
  49. Whyyyy..because you are wusses and scared to make a big move om your on!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I roll my eyes at the need to go there in this comp and with those jokes.

    ReplyDelete
  51. SueGee, I personally think that the punishment Paul and christmas got should have lasted longer. lol. Anything that prevents Paul from being in every conversation is a good thing.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I am surprised that the houseguests are not given some protective gear for the slip and slide competition!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Go after Matt, go after Matt, go after Matt... I'm channeling even though I know it won't happen, lol

  55. Thanks Jackie as always for hosting us! See y'all tomorrow night.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Thanks Jackie. =)

    Everyone have a great night.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thanks, Jackie. Everyone have a great evening and will see you all tomorrow night for the LIVE eviction of Mark or Matt!!!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Agree about the punishments and don't think the majority should last for more than 2 or 3 days.

Jason's was only uncomfortable because of the uniform, and they woke him up quite a bit for his "extreme" call... but that was it.

Alex's really was the worst I've seen on BB. Not only because of the length of time, but the weight of all the items she had to carry around everywhere, plus all the setting up/taking down.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Jackie, I hope you are feeling better. Thanks again for hosting. As usual, this is the best place to be during BB!!

    See everyone tomorrow night!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Sure would be nice if the vote flipped at the last minute!
    Won't happen. :(

    See you all tomorrow night!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hi all. Splashing in late today. Thanks for hosting Jackie!
Can someone correct me... isn't the comp after Zingbot usually Zingbot-question related? Maybe I'm making that up lol

    ReplyDelete
  62. Does anyone know what they bleeped out when Zingbot was zinging Alex? Thank you very much!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I can make an educated guess that it was prostitute, but I don't know. Zingbot competitions before have be various things but most of them have been a puzzle of some sort. Putting wiring in correct order etc.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Thank you! I was thinking along those lines too.

  64. I absolutely love Zingbot. I do not think he was that good this year. Though, I did laugh at what he said to Raven, even if it was mean. Christmas's was definitely the best.

I have to work again Thursday night. It seems like for the next couple weeks I'm working Wednesday and Thursday. Crap. Darn it. I'll be thinking of everyone; and drop in when I can. Can't get caught though, so I have to be really careful! LOL

  66. This is how close people in that house pay attention to the competitions that they play in their season. On tonight's RHAP, Rob brought up the fact that the live feeders were robbed of watching the Slip N Slide comp because it's always an HOH comp on the feeds. Big Meech was a guest on the show and SHE said that it was a veto last season too. Ummm, no it wasn't. It was HOH in week 12. Ugh, these people. lol :)))

I have to admit that I do use wikipedia for things that I can't quite remember off the top of my head now, but if Ian Terry had been on the RHAP show with Big Meech, he would have schooled her on that one... and it was HER season. You can't even remember your own season? @@

I want Matt to go home or jury house. Only because of Raven. I'm sorry but I can't stand it when she comes into a room and opens her mouth. Just saying!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Does anyone know why Christmas is in the hoh room crying

    ReplyDelete
  69. Sorry, Jackie - I didn't know you were sick. Feel better. Cooler weather is on the way.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Brandi,Christmas is depressed about the state of her foot injury. She thought she'd be walking by now. It has to be weighing on her heavily that she can't compete in the physical comps.

Tonight's HOH is supposed to be an endurance comp.

Raven had a stomach ache last night and had to lay down. Yikes!@@

    Mark is still going home

  71. Jackie, hope you're feeling better!!!
