BB19: Temptation Challenge and Nominations Show Blog Party - August 13

As the show airs here, I'll be live-blogging and constantly updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Come join in on the fun!

The show is starting late here. But I don't know how late. It's past 8pm ET and 60 Minutes is still on.

Finally, at 8:19pm we have the show. Recap, recap.

Cody is alone. He's happy Jess isn't stuck with the others. He wants to strip the big prize money from "as many of these idiots as possible." Raven would like Mark and Elena targeted because they're too close to Cody. Josh thinks so, too. Christmas is leery, as well.

Everyone is going to play in the Temptation Challenge to attempt to keep Cody from winning safety. Alex wants to target a showmance -- first choice is Mark and Elena, second is Matt and Raven. If she can't get Cody out, she wants to split up one of the couples.

Cody tells Kevin that he would never target Alex, doesn't know why she wants to target him. Kevin is worried what the others think about him talking with Cody but figures if Cody stays and wins HoH, he won't be targeted.

The others think Kevin is being sketchy by talking to Cody. They plan a sort of intervention.

Mark suggests targeting Paul to Jason.

Alex recruits someone to throw the Temptation Comp so they would be the third nominee ... Matt volunteers. Alex's plan is working -- put Mark and Elena on the block (one couple), third nominee a part of another couple. If they can't backdoor Cody, it will break up one couple.

They hear a baby crying. Then a dog barks. Lawnmower? Drums. And on and on. Paul makes up a song to memorize the order of the sounds.

They all drink the green potion in the Den of Temptation to participate in the challenge.

The comp has the yard in a big blueprint of the house. It's not the order they need to remember, it's where they were when they heard the particular noise. Cody plans to throw it so he can be the third nominee and play for veto. He decides to stand in Have Not because he wasn't in that room for any of the noises. Oops! He was indeed in the Have Not room for one of the noises. He got one right!

Mark wins safety while Matt is the third nominee as planned.

Cody knows he's cornered and thinks he needs to wake the others up about Paul being more of a danger to their games than he is.

Jason tells Alex he's willing to go up as a pawn with Elena. Paul comes in and acts like he himself is willing to be a pawn with Elena. Elena is not happy -- "Perpetual Pawn Elena!"

Cody talks to Elena. Cody tells her about Kevin's proposed deal last week. He tries to build trust with Elena, that she will always be on the bottom with Paul's group and Paul needs to go. The others are all doing Paul's dirty work for him.

Cody agrees to take Elena off the block if he wins veto. But, as Christmas points out to us, Mark and Elena aren't working together. Kerfuffle between Mark and Christmas ensues. Mark and Elena are accused of being flip-floppers. Well, they are. Mark even admits it to us.

Nominations today!

Alex says Matt is the third nominee. She nominates Elena, then Jason. Elena, nothing personal. Jason, want to compete in the veto with you.

Hi everyone to those before and after I post.
There's been no summer in Colorado...with all the rain, so I brought Hot Chocolate and marshmallows. You'll find it in the large thermos jug. There's also a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream if you want to spice it up!!

  2. Hi Jackie and Vincent. Thank you so much for hosting us!! Appreciate it so much.

    Hi Sharon N.

No show here yet, either. Must have been something on that delayed it. Bummer. At 9 is Game of Thrones. Now, I'll have to delay it to see the rest of BB.

  6. We've got 60 Minutes or something on now. However, I'm bringing the usual Pinot.... in the bucket of ice. Enjoy!

    ReplyDelete
  7. 60 minutes is bringing tears to my eyes; horses are majestic.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Yum on the Pinot, Teebs.
There is plenty of Stella. I also brought two pecan pies...fresh out of the oven, made with pecans from my family's orchard.

  9. Hi Petals

Our boy is hanging in there...by the skin of his teeth..

    ReplyDelete
  10. I wish they would vote out Elena. She is just too much. She contributes nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  11. hello BF - yes! Did you see Jess's videos? http://forums.jokersupdates.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Board=BBMedia&Number=26996179

She confirmed what most people already know, makes us love her even more.

Don't click on them now, they will interrupt the show tonight. Click on it after this ep.

  12. Oh yes, happy birthday, Penny.

  13. Yes, it's on. Heeeeerrrree we go!!

  14. Remember -- Each commenter here is speaking his or her opinion, not necessarily the opinion of the masses, nor my own opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yep, Josh, top 11. And, he still wants the jury???? Oh Big Brother!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Thanks for the links Petals.
Will check them out after the show!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well, clearly BB is sure Cody is going home or they wouldn't be spending so much time trying to make Mark and Elena look like the targets. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  18. Sharon - so worth it! Jessica is smart & sweet and honestly answers the questions. It's weird - she's watching the feeds while she talks to 'us'.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hello everyone. =)

    Happy Birthday Penny!!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. These people are so dumb...drives me crazy
It is not a team game Alex!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Can't these people play their own games? Do they trust Paul that much to believe he'll take them to the finals? Apparently, so. They jump up and down at getting Jessica out after 7 weeks of trying; and now are targeting Cody. That's a different strategy? Same ole, same ole.

Hi Petals, Joe, Cheryl, Joe, TCB and Itchy!

Thank you for the birthday wishes!!! This group is so wonderful!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Kevin sure has fallen from favor, online AND in the house.

    ReplyDelete
  23. how DARE someone talk to Cody?

    *smh*

    ReplyDelete
  24. These people are just a bunch of Cody obsessed bullies. WTF would it matter if Kevin talks to a Dead Man? And GOD FORBID SOMEONE PLAY THEIR OWN GAME...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh brother. These people are horrible. How often has he used their word against him. Now, Paul, that's a different story. Cody has never been after Alex. He's liked her since the beginning. I don't understand these guys.

    Now, they're against Kevin? Geesh.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I used to like Jason, but now? No. He is a Yes Man.

Jason is Andy Herren in a cowboy hat.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm think Kevin burned himself to the online folks when he spilled Cody's 'confidence' to Paul.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think the perfect end to the week is Matt using the veto on Mark or Elena and then ending up going himself. Any idiot who puts themselves on the block and then uses Veto on someone else REALLY REALLY REALLY doesn't deserve to be in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I just don't understand her about Cody. Cody has never disliked Alex. Don't get it. You're right, Joe, they are so obsessed. They've spent the first half of their game trying to get rid of 2 people. Unreal.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Sharon - yes! And the worst part is that they don't even believe him. They think Cody is lying about his daughter to gain pity. grrr
    These people... smh

    ReplyDelete
  31. This cast is so difficult to take sometimes. I don't understand how it's sketchy that Kevin talk to Cody or we can't trust Mark because he took himself off the block last week.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Paul, in particular, is obsessed with Cody. It's kinda creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  33. If any of them had half a brain they would want to take Cody to the end!!! Geez!

    ReplyDelete
  34. TBC - Paul ordered the sheeple to NOT speak to Cody; Kevin was "caught" talking to Cody, so was Mark, so both are in trouble with Paul. LOL (sick, sad, true)

    ReplyDelete
  35. I would love to see Matt leave; but it won't happen. They have tunnel vision. Paul wants Cody out. They think that's a huge play. A huge play would be to get Paul out, or Matt out, even though Matt is a non-player. The more time goes on, the more I believe these people never wanted to win Big Brother. They are handing it to Paul.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I swear, they went to grade school to find this bunch of hampsters.

"You talked to Cody so you must have oodies now. ewwwwwwwwww"

Pointing out the obvious to this group would be futile. Even Paul has to be shaking his head at how stupid they are playing at this point. He doesn't even need to try anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's Paul's various scenarios are working well on them all, and they can't even see it.
Everything Paul tells them HAS to be true...after all, he "knows the game" so well. @@
    HELLO!!!! @@

    ReplyDelete
  38. Paul (and by example, everyone) is still treating Josh like a step-n-fetch boy. And even when Josh tries to fight it, but he ends up fetchin'. He & his fam will be so embarrassed when they watch this.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Maybe he should have gunned for last place. I wonder what happened?

    ReplyDelete
  40. If ever there was a puppetmaster, I guess it would be Paul.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Well they will have to start turning on each other soon enough!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Actually, to my mind, it's a big move to get out Cody because he's good at comps.
HOWEVER, it would be a HUGE move to get Paul out instead.
What a bunch of losers, literally.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Paul is smart. And, his minions have made it very easy to manipulate. They are going to look back on this and scratch their heads.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Anon 8:46 = that will be the fun part! Watching them turn on one another.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Penny,
I wouldn't be surprised if most of them look back and, in their total ignorance, think they played really well. @@

    ReplyDelete
  46. Penny, they would have to have something going on upstairs first to scratch. It would be hard pressed to find anything.

    ReplyDelete
  47. IMO, it would be a big move to get Cody out if it had not been half the season. It's been him against all the others for weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Paul again: "Cody Cody Cody Cody Cody Cody Cody Cody"

Cody will need a retraining order against Paul after the show; I've never seen a grown man so obsessed with another...for, like, no reason at all. LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  49. How is Cody trying hard to throw this and managing to not lose?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Someone threw it harder, LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  51. They shouldn't be telling who is wrong

    ReplyDelete
  52. Up to who to throw it? That ghost guy?

    ReplyDelete
  53. He should have stood in the HOH. He was not allowed in there because he has coodies.

    ReplyDelete
  54. So, Cody was in the Have Not Room. What a horrible mistake.

    They aren't obvious, are they?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Cause you are in idiot Matt...and an even bigger one if you leave yourself on the block.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Sigh, there really is no one worthy of winning but Paul at this point. I mean no one has done ANYTHING. Even the people who think they are playing and act like they are playing have only been doing Paul's bidding. I'm not sure they realize it all the time, but every time one of them floats an independent thought, Paul shoots it down.

I wonder if Cody knows that the best way to create alternate targets is to hang around with them and infect them with his coodies. [Codies? Codys? :)]

    ReplyDelete
  57. Agree, Cheryl. If there was any more evidence needed of the complete brainwashing of the cast it's Matt's actions this week. Talk about disrespecting BB!!! You never choose to be the pawn. You never leave yourself on the block.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Cody is the only one who had any intention of playing the game; he'd still be playing if he could.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Um, Elena, why are you happy that a bigger target than you is safe? It MEANS YOU'RE THE BIGGER TARGET THIS WEEK!!! Moron.

    ReplyDelete
  60. They are blindly following Paul. I'm sure this whole season was planned. UGH

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'm getting tired of the whistle nut shirt....

    ReplyDelete
  62. Smaul has no intention of actually being a pawn. Wimpy elf.

    ReplyDelete
  63. You should be scared Elena...you are low man on the totem pole

    ReplyDelete
  64. oh please, Elena. You're SO used to being expendable...LOL

    ReplyDelete
  65. I just think it's childish for someone to tell others not to talk to someone in the house. Then when they do, they're treated like crap. I know it's been done before; but there were at least 2 sets of alliances in other big brother houses.

I'm just sad that Cody forgot he was in the Have Not Room reading.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'm soooo over Christmas.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Lol...at these people..thinking no one should talk to Cody!! Wtf is wrong with these people.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Cody should spend 24/7 walking around talking to people. Just talking to him makes them eat their own....

Didn't Paul have a convo with Cody this week? How come he's not suspect?

    ReplyDelete
  69. This is a fascinating Anthropological scene: watching which person folds-n-follows. It's crazy - you'd think that Alex or XXXmas would be strong female types, but they are the first ones that attach their collars to Paul's leash. They NEED a mans approval; they NEED to be told what to do. Jason & Josh - two tall, strong male types, right? Yet they require leadership. They MUST be told what do to, period. It's sick and it's sad, but it's science.

    ReplyDelete
  70. HI EVERYONE! Just SPLASHING in. Late show here in NY, but yeay for DVR.
WTH is going on with Christmas??? I really don't care for the patronizing "honey" she keeps using. Not cool. And grating on my ears.

    ReplyDelete
  71. And, honestly, wtf is the point of Christmas going after Mark there? He's one of only 2 people who CAN'T be targeted this week. And, kitty boo-boo, next week after Cody goes home you are ALL targets. You might need Mark.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Such cowards. It's so obvious. Come on Alex, change your mind.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Thank you for hosting us, Jackie. Greatly appreciated.

I work Wednesday and Thursday. I'm bummed, but it's life. Have a great week everyone!!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Ceemurph - XXXmas was high. She is still on her narcs and was itching for a brawl. Personally, I think she has penis-envy and attacking the largest man in the house is pretty telling. I'm sure some feminists will defend her and that is awesome. I'm just saying, blame XXXmas...she is acting like a donkey. JMO! MOO!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Thanks Jackie =)

    Everyone have a great week.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Thanks Jackie as always! Goodnight all and here's hoping for a miracle that Cody stays!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Thanks for hosting, Jackie!!

    See y'all!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Happy Sunday everyone! And Happy Birthday, Penny!!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Thanks again Jackie.
Hope you had a happy birthday Penny!

    ReplyDelete
  80. I have been busy with family... coming in late to see what's going on. Thanks Jackie for your witty tongue in cheek dialogue!!! I just don't get why Alex is not going after the leader of the pack dog and back dooring Paul... Cody has wanted to work with Alex from week one. That's partly why Jessica didn't like her! Nobody is going to give Cody the money so you'd think they would be fighting to take him to the end!

  81. Thank you for the birthday wishes. <3
