Big Brother 20: Nominations Show Blog Party - Sept. 9

As the show airs here, I'll be live-blogging it -- refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to join in on the discussion!

Please remember the show posts, like this one, are spoiler-free zones. While many already know the PoV winner and more, it has not played out on the show. Feel free to post spoiler comments on any of the live feeds posts, but not here ... also please don't ask for spoilers information in this post. Thank you!

Tonight's show is delayed here. While I'm setting this post to post for around 8pm ET, the show should be starting at about 8:18pm ET. I'll start updating the post once it starts.

Previously on is focusing on the Tyler/Angela showmance, then into Scottie's eviction. We also have a hint of the Victor and Nicole visit.

After Kaycee wins the HoH, Haleigh tells us she knows she will be on the block this week. Sam, although upset, tells us she must be doing something right because she's still there ... but she feels alone and it's really hard.

Angela and Kaycee talk. Kaycee thinks she needs to put Haleigh on the block ... with Sam.

HoH Room reveal time. She tears up as she reads the letter from her brother. He asks her to stand next to him when he gets married to the woman he loves. Tyler tells us that Kaycee is actually a kind, sweet Teddy bear. (She actually seems to be very nice on the live feeds.)

A segment on Angela's sense of smell. She thinks food smells off and so many things in the house smell. Heh. Sam smells like her grandmother and JC smells like sweat. Tyler, on the other hand, smells amazing.

Kaycee tells Brett that she has to figure a nice way to tell Sam she's the pawn this week. Brett goes and tells Sam that the whole house wants Haleigh out and, no matter what happens, she is good. She must remain calm. He tells us he's basically covering his butt. Sam tells us that she trusts Brett.

Sam talks to Kaycee, congratulating her on her HoH. She tells her that Haleigh is the main target. Sam tells Kaycee that Haleigh tries to make her snap. Kaycee tells her to stay calm and she's safe.

Then Haleigh talks to Kaycee. She kept telling Kaycee she has her and doesn't want Kaycee to think she's just saying that. So she says it a half-dozen times.

Nicole from BB18 shows up, then Victor is on the screen. The hamsters are watching from the HoH room. He goes on about how special she is and his next chapter will be with her. He shows up live in the house with a haircut and no beard. He proposes marriage. She says yet.

The doorbell rings. Josh, Paul, Derrick, Britney and Dani show up. They finally let this season's group out of the HoH room to mix and mingle. Champagne, cake and fun all around.

After a brief JC hula hoop segment, we're into Tyler asking Angela about her life. She started with the gymnastics at five, no childhood, no life. Her mother seems to be like a show business mother, focusing on Angela's "talent." It ruined the family in many ways. She quit it at seventeen. She decided to go for pole vaulting and broke records. Tyler thinks she's pretty amazing.

Haleigh goes to Kaycee once again. Kaycee says she wants the least amount of blood on her hands. She tells Haleigh she doesn't have any real targets in the house. Haleigh cries to Kaycee. Haleigh cries to us. Kaycee tells us she loves Haleigh but is always loyal to her alliance.

Time for the Nominations Ceremony --
She nominates Haleigh, then Sam.
Haleigh put her on the block twice, Sam voted against the house twice. Love you both.

    Hi Monty, Glenn

    ReplyDelete
  5. Finally, and HOH room reveal... the haven't shown those a lot this season.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Hi Glenn and Penny... I was getting lonely at the pool :)))

    ReplyDelete
  7. Hi all! Happy Sunday 🤗
60 minutes is still on here!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hey Jennifer. I got lucky. No NFL games to delay BB here tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I don't watch the feeds, is Sam really hard to be around?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Funny story... my honey was telling me about an alert on his phone that a CBS executive was going out and you should have heard how he tried to pronounce Les Moonves!! I told him, I already know and he's Julie Chen's husband. He was like, "Really". :)) He watched the show but doesn't follow celeb news.

    1. I saw a news article about this on television today, Julie released a very small statement about this a while ago. This story does not seem to be done. Might be interesting.

    2. Julie's married to Maury I thought.

  11. Penny, I think they all have had Sam issues from time to time this season.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hi Penny and Jennifer. I am just praying I don't get the Hurricane this week so I can see this weeks Shows

    ReplyDelete
  13. Monty, is it because she's hard to get a long with?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hi everyone. =)

Sorry for your loss Jackie. Prayers going out to you.

I have seen the HOH room reveals on BBAD and it may be the stupid racket they have been making this year before the door is opened why they have not been using the footage. Just a guess.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Glenn, I hope you do not get the hurricane, either. Will send prayers.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Gosh, Sam is not much older than her and she smells like her grandmother? That's horrible.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Saw the American Idol bus / tryouts today in KC .... that was a people watching at its best!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Penny, I think it's just a combination of her mood swings and just being generally odd to some of them.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I think Sam's back in the running for AFP

    ReplyDelete
  20. Thanks Penny. I like the Sam segment and the funny Angela Smelling segment!

    ReplyDelete
  21. So excited to see the proposal!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Oh, here I'm talking about the show and some of you were delayed. But Kaycee says Sam tends to be paranoid, but can you blame her.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Haleigh with the same you have me speech to the past three HOh's lol.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hi Petals. What you talking about, proposal?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hi Jackie, Monty, Glenn, Jennifer, Nickelpeed, & David. Wow so the wall flower, my pool girl.. Kaycee has surely bloomed!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Omg, Jennifer... I'm sure that was. I had a friend one year who made it to the producers round of AI in Cleveland, but she didn't make it past them to the judges. This was back in the early years when it was Simon, Paula and Randy. And, she has an amazing voice to be cut before that level. They must get some amazing talent that they don't always show in the audition rounds.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I had a friend years ago that went through several rounds... but a staff member told him when he finally was cut that they were looking for a certain type of cast for that season.

      Delete
  27. Ahhh Sam, your still here because there were bigger fish to fry lol

    ReplyDelete
  28. Petals, getting back to my post about The Last Movie Star. You'll like it... it has scenes from Smokey and the Bandit, Deliverance and Burt's old B&W films like they were his character's memories.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hi everyone. Didn't think I'd be awake for the show, was v tired after
    4 hours of awesome tennis

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love this Nicole segment!

    ReplyDelete
  31. He got his hair cut for her. Awwwwww

    ReplyDelete
  32. Monty - I started it, but it is SO SAD! SO difficult to see him like that. I had to stop after he got to Nashville; I wasn't in the mood to be so sad.
    Will resume tomorrow. Maybe!

    ReplyDelete
  33. He doesn't look like Victor. Still good looking, though.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I am 20 minutes behind you guys

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hi TBC and Petals and Jenna!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Petals, it's definitely a roller coast of emotions, but it's sad, funny, sad, funny and a really great a fitting for his final movie. I just loved it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well, I always thought some of the people they have cut from Idol should have stayed. I guess it's all personal taste with the producers.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Since not everyone has a delay, feel free to discuss the show as you're seeing it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Lol we are just now getting the Angela smelling super power segment! Hysterical!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I teared up... I love both Nicole and Victor

    ReplyDelete
  41. I absolutely loved Burt Reynolds. In his heyday, he was as hot as they come. I even got the Cosmopolitan where he was the centerfold. I moved a lot and my mom was going through my stuff, came across it and just about had a heart attack. I think she secretly liked the picture, but, anyway, she threw it away. I was sad.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I liked Victor his season. I loved his scruffy look.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Monty - I mean, the very first scene! At the vet? OMGosh

    ReplyDelete
  44. Someone said this earlier in the season. But this cast seems kind and genuinely caring at times

    ReplyDelete
  45. Petals, I almost turned it off then too. I told my brother, "WTH???". He told me to hang in there and so happy that I did.

    ReplyDelete
  46. How many times did Hayleigh saw you have me???

    ReplyDelete
  47. speaking of vet - glad your lil one is OK, Teeb

I agree Jennifer. This cast is great. I really do think most of them
will take that cross-country trip together (except Sam, I just don't see her
    joining them).

    ReplyDelete
  48. I like their screen print on the cake.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I read where JC was tickled that Victor and Josh spoke to him in Spanish :))

    ReplyDelete
  50. Sam gave Nicole her paper flowers she had made.

    ReplyDelete
  51. That's sad Sam might not take the cross country trip with the others. I just think she feels like an outcast. Female welders are not the norm. It's kind of cool.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Missed you come in up there... Hey Joe!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I think that's great they read up on the house to know that JC's first language was Spanish. It had to have made him feel great.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Awww, the Nicole and Victor segment!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Awwww we are getting the Victor segment now. So sweet <3

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hi Joe! Brett was funny wishing he could get feedback on how he was seen on tv!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Petals, now I know what you meant by the proposal. So sweet.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Nicole and company just left. What a bore! Lasted WAY too long!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Another great segment that explains Angela's walls. I've always liked her even when others here and elsewhere didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Love the ring! My center stone is Aquamarine.

    ReplyDelete
  61. It is great to hear why Angela had a wall and Ice heart that Tyler is helping her melt!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Thanks, Petals. She’s hobbling around, but doing well

    ReplyDelete
  63. That reminds me of American Ninja Warrior. Most of the successful ones are either prior gymnasts or rock climbers.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I just can't even watch Haleigh anymore...

    ReplyDelete
  65. I have also liked Angela and Tangela. I think they make a great team!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Regarding earlier American Idol comments -- Bindi Liebowitz from American Idol and The Voice is from Plainfield, NJ where I live.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Oh God, Paul and Josh... ugh

    ReplyDelete
  68. Paul had no idea they were dating? Over a year now? Because Nic/Vic do not like Paul. Why'd CBS bring him back for this?

    ReplyDelete
  69. She's were she is because she's a horrible BB player. I don't feel sorry for her.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I just can't imagine Angela giving up her entire childhood; and then blaming herself for the resentment from her siblings. It takes a special kind of person to stay focused and determined to be a champ. So few of them. It's hard.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Poor Sam had NO CLUE who any of them were.

    ReplyDelete
  72. They have to tote Paul out. Gaggyc will be like that in the future

    ReplyDelete
  73. I thought the same thing, Petals. He was that clueless? Too funny. I don't like Paul, either. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Haleigh is slowly realizing she messed up targeting Level 6. She thought that Tyler was a lone wolf that was easy to get as the Hacker and then thought Angela and Kacee were just a duo. Now all three of her targets won the HOH's.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Petals, he had no idea that they had started dating because it happened while he was playing BB last summer in S19. He found out at the finale and after parties last season.

    ReplyDelete
  76. How did they recruit Sam? She actually knew nothing about the game?

    ReplyDelete
  77. Oh You guys know that Chrstine & her husband are divorced?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Forgive all my typos up thread. I type too fast on show nights :))

    ReplyDelete
  79. from her Instagram account, Penny.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Tyler will become one of those legends If he can pull out this win. I've always been an Angela fan as well. I think the way Tangela's relationship has unfolded, I think they could last outside the house.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I think with Haleigh, she was trying to protect her group. However, once they were picked off one by one, it was too late for her to make amends. The damage was already done.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Where she belongs with the rest of FOUTTE

    ReplyDelete
  83. I feel kind of sorry for Sam, but she doesn't know how to play strategically.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Sam in a stomping a mudhole mood if she gets evicted. Sounds like would make Scotties exit seem tame!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Christine is also remarried

    ReplyDelete
  86. Foutte should have named their alliance "Jury"

    ReplyDelete
  87. Joe, the Christine who canoodled with Cody in S16

    ReplyDelete
  88. Joe - Crustine, from Nicole's first season. That Starbucks chick that
got booed for hanging on Cody all season.

    ReplyDelete
  89. So, we get to stick around because some of you have 15 more minutes. How cool is that? The game here must have been really short.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Lol, exactly Petals!! The JURY alliance

    ^5

    ReplyDelete
  91. My hubs and future SIL, said the proposal was a a waste of 15 minutes of the show! Booooo

    ReplyDelete
  92. I think it would have been funny to see Jody show up. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  93. Very true Penny. We get bonus time in the chat. It might be better to get Sam out in the double even though I want JC out in the double. Who knows what Sam would really do if evicted?

    ReplyDelete
  94. I agree it went a bit long.

    ReplyDelete
  95. LOL @ Jennifer. Men have no sense of romance. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  96. I would love a Chilltown reunion in tHE BB house and have them do a final four roast .

    ReplyDelete
  97. My day was a gymnast... trained 25 hrs a week, it was tough, thankfully she doesn’t have those painful memories.. she was approached to do pole vault. Nope. We went to soccer 🤗

    ReplyDelete
  98. Kaycee later admitted she heard her ringing/knocking, but didn't want to talk to her. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  99. It's been a boring week. Maybe they needed the engagement as filler.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Shannon was the only original Chilltown member not to be invited back for a season.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Glenn, I'd rather see JC out, but I do not think he'll leave before Sam. I just wish she played the game better. The social game is so important. Because she doesn't know the game, it makes it hard for her to separate the game and personal friendship. Once they get rid of Hayleigh, they'll have to eat their own. Sam has not voted with Level 6 a few times, do I do think she'll be the next to go. Final 3 standing will be Tyler, Angela and Brett.

    ReplyDelete
  102. All of your friends are in jury. Scottie and fessy will fight over you there...

    ReplyDelete
  103. *prayers* for you & your family Jackie.

    G'nite all.

    xoxo

    ReplyDelete
  104. I want JC out myself...

    ReplyDelete
  105. Hayleigh... don’t you know another phrase??

    ReplyDelete
  106. After she cleaned the toilet with Hardy's toothbrush, I can see why they wouldn't want Shannon back. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  107. Jackie, thank you for hosting us. I know you have a lot on your mind. See everyone Wednesday!!!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Thanks for being the most gracious host Jackie!
Everyone have a good week, see y’all Wednesday 🤗

    ReplyDelete
  109. They absolutely needed it as filler, lol. But I'm happy that we got to see it. :)))

Thanks for everything Jackie and will see everyone in the comments.

    Have a great week!!

    ReplyDelete
  110. The dogs beckon. Have a great night everyone.

Jackie, thank you for hosting and posting.

See everyone on Wednesday. I can’t wait to see the veto comp

    ReplyDelete
  111. Bye everyone! I posted late on previous post Jackie referring to your loss, so sorry your having to go through this. Special prayers for you & your family this week. Thank you for all you do for us. Nite all.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Sam's DR reaction to the nomination was nothing like how she reacted on the live feeds. Hmm. They're playing up the crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Thank you all for the kind wishes and for coming by.

    ReplyDelete
  114. That's Connie Chung. You could have made TMZ with that comment....lol! Totally kidding guys.....😁

    ReplyDelete
