BB21: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - July 31
Okay, tonight we'll have the PoV comp. Word on the street is that it might have farm animals. Perhaps we shouldn't let Jackson near it? Speaking of Jackson, Entertainment Weekly, which is usually pro-BB, had a rather revealing article on Jackson right at this link. Hopefully something will be said on the live show tomorrow. I don't think they can keep ignoring the bad publicity or think by giving them a bit worse edit that fans will be happy.
I'll be live-blogging the major events as they air here on the East Coast. Refresh this page to get the latest update! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!
Previously on … and on.
We pick up at the end of the nominations ceremony with Nick and Sam on the block. Nick knew he's being targeted. Sam thinks he's supposedly a pawn. Mick and Sam are talking about the PoV players -- Nick wants to pick Jess because he could beat her and thinks that she would go home before Sam. Sam is still worried. Nicole is worried that either she or another one of her allies would go up as a replacement.
Kat tells Holly that she's willing to go up as a pawn if either Nick or Sam come down. They think, not only would it not "get blood on Holly's hands" but it would also conceal that they're working together.
Time to pick veto players -- Holly randomly draws Tommy. Sam gets Houseguest's Choice and picks Cliff. Nick draws Jessica. Holly chooses Jack to host the comp.
Veto comp time! It's a farm setting. They're dressed in farmer gear. There are sheep for the sheeple! How fitting is that? They have to herd them head to head. Counting sheep is the name of the comp. The order is chosen for them.
Nick vs. Jess is the first pair facing off. Their target number is seven. They have to collect sheep with numbers adding up to the number seven. Nick wins and advances to the next round.
Holly and Sam next. Their target number is eight. Holly wins and advances.
Cliff and Tommy are next with a target number of nine. Tommy wins and advances.
Nick and Holly face off with a target number of 15. Nick wins the round and Holly is eliminated.
Nick and Tommy go for the final round. Their target number is 21.
NICK WINS THE POWER OF VETO! Sam is sad, but he says he's still going to try. Holly isn't pleased because Nick was her target.
Christie talks to Holly. Is this a sign from above? Is Sam the bigger threat? Holly says that if she puts up Kat, that's a pawn. If she puts up Nicole, that's a target.
Christie and Tommy are given a poison ivy treatment -- bright pink "calamine lotion."
Sam tried to talk to Holly -- he wants someone with baggage next to him on the block. He tells her he has no beef with her, would never go after her. She brings up Nicole to him. He says she tried to play both sides. She tells us there are big threats, but they're in her alliance. Maybe she could use Sam to take those shots.
Holly talks about Nicole with CHristie. Christie thinks that would be a waste because "she won't win anything." Sam could win an HoH. Christie tells us she thinks something fishy is going on because Holly is pushing the Nicole agenda. Tommy runs to Analyse with the intel. It's now a red flag to her. Cracks are cracking more in their alliance.
Analyse runs to Jackson and Holly with the information. Jackson is getting more ticked about it than Holly. They don't like to hear that they're considered a couple. Well, duh. Maybe they shouldn't be a couple. Jackson is very disturbed that people think he might have a deal with Nick.
Jackson goes to Christie about the rumor that he and Holly are working with Nick and Sam. Hw claims it's Holly's HOH and not anyone else's. She talks to Holly to smooth things over. She brings Tommy in to talk with Holly. Now Holly thinks Analyse is planting seeds. Holly talks to Jackson. He says she doesn't have to bark at him. She was talking calmly, mind you.
Time for the veto meeting. Nick, of course, saves himself. In his place, Holly puts (the pawn) Kat on the block. Someone she doesn't talk a lot of game with and doesn't know where her head is at. Yeah, right.
So, tomorrow night it will be either Sam or Kat leaving.

ReplyDeleteHi Jackie and Vincent. Thank you again for hosting us!
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer, Cheryl, Monty, and Glenn
OMG, my eyes......
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, that is funny!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Penny... Jack in a dress is just too much, LOL
ReplyDeleteHi everyone (too many to list) :)
ReplyDeleteCheryl,
Christy only has 1 more week with her power.
Awwwww, goats!!! Please don't hurt them Big Brother!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter wants to raise mini goats. I can't wait. I'll visit every day just to hold and watch them! LOL
ReplyDeleteSharon..is that after this week
ReplyDeleteFor all the griping Holly did about the straw during the comp, why did she stick a piece of it in her hair?
ReplyDeleteSheep for the sheeple! How fitting!
ReplyDeleteHey Sharon
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Jackie
ReplyDeleteLol, Jackie!!
ReplyDeleteLol @ Jackie
ReplyDeleteOMG! That commercial for Love Island is a killer.
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl. This comp looks tough but fun. My Brother and I won a Greased Pig contest we worked as a team. We won Two Big Whooper Coupons.
ReplyDeleteA sheep is smarter than you, huh, Jess??
ReplyDeleteThat was a good one, Jackie!
ReplyDeleteWhy is Christie’s mouth hanging open??
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! I've been calling them goats!! I am so blind! LOL. Yes, they are sheep! Oh my!
ReplyDeleteTommy....
ReplyDeleteGlenn, is that all they gave you for catching a greased up pig? That's hard to do.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I'm rooting for Nick. He was nasty to a few of my favorites, but I do not like Jack or Jackson.
ReplyDeleteNice job!!
ReplyDeleteLOLOLOL @ Tommy
ReplyDeleteTommy is so polite to the sheep!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Nick!
ReplyDeleteNick will sleep well after this comp!!
ReplyDeleteI'm cheering. Just a little over a week ago, I was cursing him! LOL
ReplyDeleteKat, are you sure you still want to be a pawn???
ReplyDeleteHi Penny and TBC!
ReplyDeleteHi tbc
ReplyDeleteLol, love you greased pig story Glenn. My baby brother won a greased pig contest at the Bob Evans Festival one year and he only got a t-shirt. I think he was like six or seven. He was a like a bull in a china factory though at that age, lol
ReplyDeleteHi Joe and Sharon. Yes that was all they gave us. It was very hard to do. My Brother and I were the only ones that decided to work as a team. Catching the Pig and then had to put it in the container was hard lol.
ReplyDeleteLol Glenn what festival was that at
DeleteIf only Christie hadn't told the whole house of her power..she could have gave it to Nick and he could have put up a Jack. If only..hmm
ReplyDeleteHi Joe... missed you come in up there
ReplyDeleteI like that description Monty. The Pink treatment looks crazy.
ReplyDeleteI've decided that our best revenge for these three months of scumbags is to vote for David for America's favorite houseguest at the end of the season.
ReplyDeleteSome really bad wasted HOH moves this season
ReplyDeleteTake a risk .... somebody! Do what’s good for your game and stop being sheepish!!
ReplyDeleteHi tbc and Joe.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Auntie Margaret
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for Sam. He talks loud, but I like him.
ReplyDeleteHi Auntie Margaret. That's a great idea!
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Penny! I feel sorry for him, too
ReplyDeleteGahhh, I hate watching girls biting and chewing on their fingers! YUCK
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lot of us could get on the "David for America's Favorite Player" bandwagon.
ReplyDeleteI like that!!
DeleteWait until they all find out Tommy and Christie know each other.
ReplyDeleteJackson, stop peacocking and shut up!!
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for Sam, but he was just one of several of the better people continued going to the Evil-6/8... even when those people KNEW they were being shafted.
ReplyDeleteChristie thinking Holly is being Shady. Christie tells Sis her suspicions and Sis tells Holly and Jackson. Jackson wants to confront Christie and Tommy.
ReplyDeletePenny - What's weird about Sam is that he usually isn't that loud in the hose. Jack and Tommy are often louder than Sam.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many cracks in this alliance that it is only a matter of when. I'm hoping it is VERY soon.
ReplyDeleteI agree Monty... the cracks are gonna bust!!
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to believe that nobody figures out the biggest crack usually begins with Christie, because her mouth never stops flapping. Even when she says she's not going to talk game with anyone anymore... flap flap.
ReplyDeleteWhy doesn't the group ever believe their members. Why in the heck believe Christie? She loves drama.
ReplyDeleteWhen will Julie tell us more about the Field trip twist. I might not be here on time for the show tomorrow. I am the Deacon representative at the Elder meeting at the Church tomorrow. The Meeting starts at 7 PM.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that Jack has a silent edit tonight other than the veto comp
ReplyDeleteThese hamsters believe things to quickly!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie. You are right. I've only heard Sam loud in the DR room. Jack and Jackson are definitely much louder. If they are not in the spotlight, they get louder.
ReplyDeleteI hate that they don't show Veto Meeting Speeches any more.
ReplyDeleteWow, she played that well.
ReplyDeleteAnd they did a horrible edit on the kat volunteering thing
ReplyDeleteNobody has the guts to make a move
ReplyDeleteJackie, thank you for hosting us.
ReplyDeleteSee everyone tomorrow night!!
Never volunteer!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie, see y’all tomorrow!!
I hope something happens to change everything.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie once again and will see you all tomorrow night
ReplyDeleteActually I am glad they don't Glenn..use to drive me crazy especially when a nominee has the power
ReplyDeleteGlenn -- Yet we know from what is said by them on the feeds that they still make the speeches.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for coming by!
Good night all.See y'all tomorrow night
ReplyDeleteGlad I skipped the show - I don't like to see adorable babies being "herded" by amateurs. I've read that the goats/sheep appeared stressed?
ReplyDeleteI did read your update, Jackie - OMG! You're pretty sassy this season, with this bunch of horny idiots. I was cracking UP at the comment about keeping the farm animals away from Jackson!
