Survivor fans ready?

We jump right into the action. All eyes seem to be on Noura. But Dean isn't really sitting pretty either. Noura is blaming him. Elaine now knows she wasted her idol and feels she must search out a new one. A bunch of the others have the same plain. Heh. Janet, who's not in with the in crowd found it! It's only good until the final five. Dean thinks Dan and Tommy found it.

Noura is crazy, but Elaine is worried that she would be targeted instead. She's trying to stir up things between Dean and Lauren. Dean and Dan try to convince Lauren she has nothing to worry about.

A boat arrives. They must draw a name for someone to go to the Island of Idols. Dean goes. Dean shows Rob and Sandra his fake legacy advantage. The one he played before was a fake of the fake. He thinks it's real. Silly boy.

His lesson is about jury management. His test -- game of chance, a coin flip. He has a choice of three different advantages if he wins and lose a vote if he loses. He thinks Janet found an idol and wants to go for the idol mollifier. He actually wins the idol nullifier!

Dean lies to the others, telling them it was a coin flip and he said he lost his vote. He tells Dan the truth. Dan now thinks Dean has a legacy advantage and the idol nullifier … so he's dangerous.

Immunity Challenge time -- Spin, unravel rope. collect puzzle pieces. go ove beam. solve puzzle. Seven word phrase read from top to bottom. DEAN wins Immunity! "This game will mess with your mind."

Elaine is sure she's going to be the target. In reality they're planning on splitting the vote -- Elaine target, Noura secondary if an idol is played. Meanwhile, many of the women are thinking of flipping to Noura as the target.

Tribal Council time! They're talking numbers. Elaine is talking about being the target. She says that they should keep her in to protect themselves a bit longer. She suggests Noura. Ohhh … Elaine is tugging at heartstrings! She just may have saved her butt? Time to vote.

The tally … No idols played.

Elaine, Noura, Elaine, Noura, Elaine, Elaine.

Nope. She didn't save her butt.

WHOA! Here's the numbers issue -- DAN has been removed from the game. He won't even be in the jury. This is due to the earlier inappropriate behavior issues. Since the behavior was witnessed by show staff and filmed and we didn't see it all, it must have been downplayed some before this.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hi Jennifer, Joe, Petals and Moleman.

I really don't want Janet going, but I don't know why she trusts anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  18. They really messed up not getting janet out 5 votes ago!

  21. Nobody should open their mouth when they find a idol! Hopefully next season, maybe 2-3 idols max!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hi Moleman. Noura might be in trouble from last tribal council.

    1. Don't know why they would want her or dan out there terrible players and both probably getting zero votes in the end!

  23. I am convinced Noura is trying to act more like a wackadoodle, just to make a name for herself. So, she's boring to me. *yawn* "Thanks for playin, move along!"

    ReplyDelete
  24. Dang, he can't keep his mouth shut. He'll probably tell everyone what it is. I hope not.

    ReplyDelete
  25. oh, the older guy is still in it? I'd like him to win, since he was hung-out to dry on that fake sexual harassment thing.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh Dean....you are so clueless.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Only dan and tommy haven't been there yet i wonder if they know about rob and sandra!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think he's a fool. I think he's the next one.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I have to say: I really don't like this season's twist of having Rob & whatshername... it's boring, it's been meaningless, stupid. IMO I like Rob, but c'mon. This "mentor" thing is just a waste.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hi all!!

I love the way Rob and Sandra act like they’ve been roughing it ...

    ReplyDelete
  31. and I call BS on Dean evening knowing who EITHER Of them are!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I agree, Petals, it’s an ego trip for Rob and Sandra... not much excitement there

    ReplyDelete
  33. You know what if dean uses it correctly ill give him more respect but hees still a below average player though!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hi TBC. Dean better hope he doesn't have to play that fake advantage. Janet can be surprised if her Idol gets nullified.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hi everybody! Jumpin' in late.

    ReplyDelete
  36. There it is again. Don't tell anyone!! Dang it. Stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  37. hey Ed! Oh, that reminds me: Congrats to you & Monty & GO BUCKS!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Now Dean is a target for telling his group he won the Idol Nullifier.

    ReplyDelete
  39. spin? BWHAAAAAA. Noura will be good at this!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hey Petals Thanks! Nice....lamp!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. this will mess with your mind?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Well, he won't get voted off.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hi Glenn. Dean messed their minds!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yup it looked like Dean saw what Elaine was doing and Elaine didn't know she had a letter out of place.

    ReplyDelete
  45. 1 down 3 to go! Hed still probably lose though!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hi Homie... thanks, Petals!! GO BUCKS!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hey Homie! Hope Joey wears that sweater jersey in January. GO BUCKS!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Geesh, women. Vote out one of the guys! You in the majority!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Ooops, you are in the majority.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I don't like Noura, but vote out one of the men. Go for Tommy. This should be an easy blindside.

    ReplyDelete
  51. They should get rid of janet with the nullifyer, but they probably won't though!

    ReplyDelete
  52. OK Jeff your cue to 'stir the pot'

    ReplyDelete
  53. so she isn't such a Gomer, is she?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Wow just announce your vote!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Man, they pull no punches!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Don't know could understand getting Elaine out that would at least make some sense, but not as strong as janet though!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I say they should go for Tommy. Make it a real blindside.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Tommy not as big a jury threat as janet!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm really not sure how anyone can trust Noura. They are playing with fire keeping her as an ally.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Sad stories don’t do it for me when your trying to save yourself on survivor!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Has there been a predictable vote YET this season??

    ReplyDelete
  62. "you're crazy as hell", LOL! That's why I like Elaine :))

    ReplyDelete
  63. I wouldn't trust Noura or Dean. Those 2, to me, are untrustworthy. The others have been loyal, for the most part.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Penny, I think you’re right about getting a man out, but they don’t seem to see that. I don’t trust Noura at all!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Moleman, I guess Janet would touch a soft spot with the jury, so getting rid of her would fix that; however, you need jury management, also. I, personally, would love to see a female F3. It's just me.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Oh, Dean didn't use the nullifier.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Dang. They might be sorry for that. We'll see.

    ReplyDelete
  68. There are still a lot of people left. Okay, did someone pass away?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Have a wonderful week everyone, thank you Jackie 🤗

    ReplyDelete
  70. Don't really care about gender just want to see a good player win or in this case a decent player and if janet goes to f3 she wins easily! I can't believe they let her slide this far!

    ReplyDelete
  71. This is weird? NOW they remove Dan?

    ReplyDelete
  72. OMG?????? Ambiguous much???????

    Jackie - any idea?

    ReplyDelete
  73. Holy cow! What did he do to a non-player?

    ReplyDelete
  74. I bet he involved lawyers after he thought about what they were doing to his reputation...(at least I hope he did)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Holy cow! Well, I guess we have one more week :((

Thanks, Jackie! Will see you all next time. Have a great rest of the week and weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  76. That was weird!

    G'Nite All!!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Moleman, I want a decent player to win, also.

Thank you, Jackie. See you all next Wednesday!

  78. He probably accused a person on production of eliciting false claims of sexual harassment!
I would if I were he!

    ReplyDelete
  79. wow - NOW I'm interested in this season. LOL

    Thank you Jackie & Vincent.

    ReplyDelete
  80. If nothing else, it should be an interesting reunion show.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Ehh second biggest threat ok but now janet is 1 step further 2 immunitys and fire and she wins unless she plays her idol and dean dosent play the nullifier! Acceptable vote just barely though!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Petals - There was more to that complaint than we saw. The staff witnessed it. Please stop calling it "fake."

    ReplyDelete
  83. Thank you all for coming! See you next week for the finale!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I agree it wasn't "fake". It was complex. But this involved the crew and not a player?!?!?!? Could he really have hugged a crew member (or something)?

    ReplyDelete
  85. I said it was false of harassment. I guess harassment is in the eye of the beholder. I was raised in a different time, so this is all weird to me. I can't imagine - if he did what they claimed - production just kept filming without intervention.
He is innocent until proven guilty, IMO.
    Sorry, Jackie. JMO

    1. Guess well never know cause he won't be at the finale and won't be doing interviews so we just gotta listen to what kellee and the crew have to say about it!

  88. Wow good thing they didn't vote out noura then shes the only goat left! So 3 real players left, 1 goat and 1 dean!!!

    ReplyDelete
  89. It sounds like we may never know exactly what Dan did.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Dan should not have made it this far if his actions were removal worthy.

    ReplyDelete
  91. In all honesty, my bet is that they've already been 'told' not to openly discuss what happened. Heck, they might not even know what happened, especially if it involved a member of the Survivor 'crew' and not one of cast.

    ReplyDelete
  92. IMO, in this day and age, ignorance is not bliss, and Dan is old enough to know better. He's no wet-behind-the ears kid. There's no acceptable reason(s) for behavior that makes other people uncomfortable. Yes, I get it. Some people are 'huggers,' but for every hugger, there are plenty of people who do NOT like to be touched. At all.

Clear back 30-40 years ago (in the 70s/80s), I worked for a large company in the Defense Industry. I vividly recall the employee meetings that were held (with videos) to describe what is/isn't acceptable behavior in the work environment.

We were informed the only place acceptable to touch another employee was between the wrist and elbow... no pats on the head, shoulders, back or butt, etc. The meetings also described the kind of jokes being told that might be considered offensive, including "colorful," sexual and racial remarks. At the time, my boss was black. Needless to say, he was very (ahem) sensitive to those things, so one of the first things I'd tell new-hires, "do NOT try to be funny by telling even silly Polish jokes. You won't like the back-lash."

The ever-present threat of lawsuits made those changes necessary. Having to be so careful did take some of the fun out of the work environment, but we all adjusted, and at the same time, it did help to eliminate some of the "touchy-feely" actions and offensive jokes/remarks. All in all, a good change IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Oh darn, I know a really great Polish joke, too....oh well...next life....meanwhile, I watched Ponderosa and then Rob and somebody has a pod cast and they were just stunned at this last minute "eviction". It seems like all the people left now are just total losers...remember when Kellee was upset that she was out "before Noura"?? What if Noura wins? They all want to bring her to the end, how ironic if she got a bunch of votes and "spun" off with the win?!!! Disgusting. You know they will vote out Janet next and that leaves nobody to pull for. Nobody. Maybe Tommy? I also heard on "Rob has a podcast" that "Dalton" had nominated this season to be ranked 39th out of 39 seasons, and I kind of agree. Who is Dalton?

    ReplyDelete
  94. Auntie Leigh,

I have mostly Polish ancestry (actually, Heinz-57), so I used to collect those jokes, and claimed a "right-of-ancestry" to tell them... except around my boss!! lol

If Dan's actions were so egregious, it does seem like they should have removed him long before others were evicted. It has to feel a tad unfair to those who lost their chance at a win. But that's the way it goes.

Everyone knows that we'll all forget who any of them were...and what they looked like... as soon as the season is over! lol

    ReplyDelete
  95. Here's my polish joke, best if told using accents: Three astronauts were arguing about who has the best space program and the american said "we are going to Mars" and the frenchman said well we are going to Saturn and the Polish guy says "we are going to the sun!!!" and the others gasp and say how that is not possible and the Polish guy says they have solved the problem of being too hot because "we are going at night"....So, what do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  96. LMAO... ok, that was a funny one!!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Glad you liked it.
I am now questioning whether or not the values of Survivor... deceit and backstabbing and double-cross are getting a bit faded and out of date? This season has not been a very good look for many of the players with the exception of Janet who was then betrayed for trying to sacrifice for the good of the group. Any thoughts?

Survivor to pre-tape reunion show due to sensitivity and security concerns

Survivor always ends its season with a live reunion show. However, this season the reunion will be a little less live than normal. While Survivor’s three-hour finale and reunion shows usually take place live from CBS Television City in Los Angeles from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. PT to concur with the East Coast airing of the program, the Dec. 18 Survivor: Island of the Idols season-ender will actually go “live-to-tape” from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. PT, four hours earlier than normal, and then air back on TV later in the evening.
