TAR32: Meet the Cast - Part 3

The show starts tonight, right after Big Brother. Be there or be square. Or something like that. You can catch up on the teams in my posts -- Meet the Cast - Part 1 and Meet the Cast - Part 2. Without further ado, here are the remaining three teams we'll be watching --

Best Friends: Nathan and Cody
Nathan Worthington is 39 from Dayton, TN. He works in La-Z-Boy manufacturing. Ohh ... how comfy! He's very outdoorsy which can be a plus, but he doesn't seem well-traveled or used to big strange cities.

Maybe it's just me but there are far too many guys named Cody in reality television! Cody Buell is 33, from Point Lick, KY. He too is outdoorsy liking hiking, scuba diving and more. Both friends are into noodling. No, not canoodling! That's way different! Noodling is catching catfish by hand. Yikes. They seem like they will be fun to watch.

Pro Volleyball Players:
Riley and Maddison
Riley McKibbin is 31 and lives in Honolulu, HI. Yes, both he and his partner are professional beach volleyball players. Um. Okay. Sounds athletic enough.  But what isn't mentioned is that they are brothers. Yep, I can see the resemblance. Riley is a YouTuber whom I have never noticed. In his bio on the CBS site he's extremely longwinded while his brother is simply longwinded.

Maddison McKibbin is 29 and also from Honolulu. I certainly hope they aren't as wordy on the race as they are in the bios. He's also involved in the YouTube Channel -- The McKibbin Brothers. They have traveled with the volleyball circuit, but I don't know how much travel outside the country. We'll see.

Dating: Will and James
Will Jardell is 30, residing in Nederland, TX. He is a public health specialist and dance teacher. Ohh ... maybe he will have to do a dance roadblock! His dance instruction is in Los Angeles. I have no clue on the commuting! He's 6'6" so I will be able to tell them apart from the start. That's a problem I always have in the beginning with same-sex teams.

James Wallington is 31 and from Grand Rapids, MI. He's apparently living in the Los Angeles area where he's an event coordinator and social media manager. Of course, the latter can be done from anywhere. He says he's a superfan of the show, watching since he was 12. We'll be the judge of that -- keywords: stick shift and swimming. He's applied to be on the show nine times and finally made it.

BB22: Live Feeds into Tuesday Evening - Oct. 13

His time may be coming

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Blocked Live Feeds:
  • I realize I didn't update after the veto meeting.
  • But, as expected, Nicole left her nominations in place.
  • She got all dolled up sweet and innocent to tell them at the meeting.
  • Christmas continues to work on Nicole and believes she's staying.
  • Memphis continues to work on Enzo and Cody and believes he's staying.
  • Only one can stay.
  • We all know that Nicole, who can only vote if there's a tie, wants Memphis out this week.
  • Cody is to the point where he wants Memphis out because he thinks Memphis has been dishonest to him. He thinks Memphis knows about Christmas plotting to get him backdoored and deliberately didn't say anything about it. He also thinks Memphis is more likely to win comps and would take Christmas over either of them.
  • Enzo, on the other hand, thinks Christmas is the bigger threat.
  • When Enzo, Cody and Nicole all get together, they seem to be in consensus that Christmas will stay this week, Memphis out.
  • Meanwhile, Christmas has been talking to us (lucky us) threatening that it's time to bring out Comp Christmas, referring to herself in the third party. Unlike Nice Housewife and Mother Christmas, Comp Christmas will crush them all in the comps.
  • Um.
  • Okay.
  • We had a long feeds block last night which went totally unexplained.
  • All in all, it still looks like a Memphis ouster this week.
  • Then I guess we will see Comp Christmas. I hope she doesn't talk as much about herself as the Christmas we know.

Looking all sweet and innocent

Comp Christmas will CRUSH them!

Smiling faces ...

I don't trust Christmas more

BB22: HoH Comp, Nominations Show Blog Party - Oct. 12

Good evening! Unlike last Monday night, we're not dealing with waiting out a football game and having an uncertain start time. Plus, I actually remember that they only started the HoH comp during the end of the last show. So, we're a step ahead, methinks.

I will update this entry with the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest update. As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to join in on the fun!

So, we have to sit through all the alliances and the triple eviction once again during the Previously On segment.

Okay, it's to the pumpkin teeter-totter HoH comp in the back yard. Cody has to sit this one out and is worried that if Christmas wins, he'll go on the block. They have to transport one pumpkin at a time over the teeter-totter, 25 of them, if they drop one they have to start all over again.

None of them seem to be having an easy time with it. Nicole seems to have developed a strategy. Enzo is horrible at it. Now both Christmas and Memphis are doing better than Nicole. Christmas only has two pumpkins to go and we go into commercial.

Christmas has to reset as a pumpkin fell from her basket. She cries to us. Too bad, so sad. Whoops! Memphis loses a pumpkin. This leaves Nicole in the lead. Enzo is just a joke at this point.

NICOLE WINS HOH!

Christmas cries more to us from the Diary Room and plays the son card. Wah, wah.

Christmas cries to Nicole that it's been an emotional week. It makes Nicole feel so sad ...not. Although, she is polite to Christmas who cries and cries in the Diary Room to us. And to Memphis. Now, he's not happy with a Nicole win either. He figures he will be on the block. Meanwhile, Enzo is in a happy place because he thinks Nicole will take out either Memphis or Christmas and the blood won't be on his hands.

Nicole talks Memphis and Christmas as nominees to Enzo and Cody. Enzo is pushing a Memphis target. Nicole tells us her target is Memphis.

A funny bit about Christmas walking into Enzo in the toilet stall. Oh ... and we're going to see an HoH room, huh? Not much of that this season either on the feeds or the show. Maybe because of her Victor, also from BB. Change that to definitely because of Victor.

Christmas goes in the HoH to suck up to Nicole. Nicole is looking for intel and tells her that she doesn't think she has any reason to put either Enzo or Cody up and she doesn't want her (Christmas) to go home. Christmas obviously wants to target Cody. We know Nicole is tight with Cody.

Cody interrupts them. Naturally, Nicole tells all from Christmas to him. Now Cody wants Christmas out rather than Memphis. Nicole isn't happy with that as she wants to keep Christmas over Memphis, thinking that would be better for her own game.

A segment on Enzo's foot stalker looking at his ugly feet.

Now it's Memphis's turn to try to convince Nicole he needs to be safe. He tells her he has no other alliances other than the Committee. He tells her Enzo and Cody have alliances. He promises her safety and promises to take her to the final two. She tells him she's the odd one out. She plays along with him but tells us no way.

We have Christmas music, so I assume it's time for a Christmas clip. Yep. She air horns Enzo in the toilet stall.

Time for the nominations ceremony. Nicole first nominates Christmas, then Memphis, saying that because she has to make a move that may help her game. Christmas voted to evict her, Memphis put her on the block.

TAR32: Meet the Cast - Part 2

Father and Son: Jerry and Frank
Frank Eaves is 25 and resides in Louisville, KY. He makes a living in luxury car sales. It sounds like he has some interesting clientele between stars and sports figures! He's athletic, always a plus in the race. His bio makes it sound like he's in it just as much for the adventure with his father or more so than for the money.

Jerry Eaves is 61, also residing in Louisville. He's a host of sports radio and also the athletic director/coach of men's basketball at Simmons College of Kentucky. Heh ... he said what scares him the most about traveling is the middle seat. I can so get behind him on that one! He seems athletic considering he's probably the oldest racer on the show. Like his son, it seems the adventure and bonding are more of an incentive than the winning monies.

Sisters: Kaylynn and Haley
Kaylynn Williams is 30, living in Bluffton, SC. She's a real estate agent. It sounds like she's a pretty good fit for the race -- likes anything to do with on the water, running and such. She refers to her sister as her best friend and it sounds like they have a great relationship unlike some of the love/hate ones we've seen.

Haley Williams is 31 and also lives in Bluffton. She is also a real estate agent. I think I'm sensing a theme here! She refers to her sister as her "best friend attached at the hip." They share not only the same town, same job but pretty much the same interests, too. Both seem on the athletic and adventurous side. Hopefully their personalities will shine as much as their smiles do.

Former Olympic Hurdlers:
Kellie and LaVonne
Kellie Wells-Brinkley is 38 and resides in Richmond, VA. She's an on-air personality, public speaker and is a strategic partnership manager for a tech company (whatever that is!). Oh my. She likes pole-dancing. I wonder if that particular hobby will come into play on the show! It's a pretty sure thing that she's athletic. She loves and is used to traveling and competition. We could have a contender team here.

LaVonne Idlette is 34 and resides in Hampton, VA. She's a real estate impact investor and fund manager/mortgage broker. She explains the former in her bio and it sounds way complicated. She has also passed her bar exam, so she has athletic skills and smarts, too. She calls Kellie her best friend.

Sisters: Michelle and Victoria
Michelle Newland is 34 from Lafayette, LA. She is a luxury auto salesperson, apparently BMWs as she hash-tagged in her bio on the CBS site and considers them "the ultimate driving machine." I just hope that includes stick shifts! She loves her job. She doesn't seem to enjoy any athletic pursuits but loves to photograph her food. She would like to see Vietnam as their parents came to the US for a better life and she has never been there.

Victoria Newland is 33, also living in Lafayette. She is a physician auditor, consultant and educator. Well, that's not like selling BMWs! She likes sleeping. I doubt she'll see a lot of that on the race! However, she does list some more athletic pursuits such as biking and working out. So, that's good. Both sisters like cats. So I must like them, right?

You can find Part 1 of the cast posts HERE.
If you want in on the blog pool, you would need to sign up HERE -- not here here, on that link! The deadline is looming!

BB22: Live Feeds into Sunday Afternoon - Oct. 11

Checking for fleas, Cody?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Hapless Hedgehogs:

  • For the first time this season, Memphis seems to be actually mixing, mingling and having an actual personality.
  • Those efforts might be coming just a bit too late.
  • Christmas is really working on Nicole trying to get her to use the veto to take her (or even Memphis) down, replace the nom with Cody and backdoor Cody.
  • While I am so not a Christmas fan, in a way she's right. If Cody makes it to the final two he would win against anyone. He has had a great social and comps game.
  • Nicole, on the other hand, would probably lose to anyone except maybe Christmas because she's a previous winner.
  • Of course, it won't hurt her to keep up her winning streak.
  • This is the second time she has won BB Comics.
  • Enzo has won little but his social game is superb. I think the jury would probably vote for him just because of that and his family.
  • Enzo discovered a teakettle whistles when the water boils. He's been always using a pot to boil water.
  • Heh.
  • It's hard to tell when Enzo is lying. When he talks to Christmas, he makes it sound like he would vote to keep her. When he talks to Memphis, he makes it sound like he's keeping him.
  • When Nicole and Cody talk about it, although Christmas gets on their last nerve, it seems like Memphis is indeed the target as he's more of a threat for the win.
  • Enzo will do whatever Cody wants.
  • No matter what, Nicole will not be using that veto.
  • The Twitter world is abuzz with the exaggerated impression that Memphis and Christmas kissed.
  • I watched it. It didn't look like a kiss to me. It looked like Christmas was whispering something to him and didn't want the feeds to pick it up.
  • It all reminds me of BB1 when so many show fans claimed George kicked Pugita. No, he did not kick the dog. He gently nudged her out of the way using his foot because his hands were full and she was underfoot. It was not a kick and this latest was not a kiss.
  • But rabid fans always see more into things than actually exist.
  • Christmas and Nicole are all into attracting new sponsors for their Instagram pages.
  • Gag me now, please.
  • Anyway, it boils down to I think Nicole will be loyal to Cody since she's playing for second place anyway.
  • I do think Cody and Enzo will take the shot at Memphis.
  • Of course, they could each vote for one and make Nicole break the tie.
  • Heh.

Chug that wine, Christmas!

Luck or plan?

What? Memphis has a personality?

Yes, Enzo. Teakettles whistle.

BB22: Live Feeds - We Have a POV Winner - Oct. 10

The comp was blocked to the live feeds ... of course. But, when the feeds came back, they were all dressed as superheroes with capes. It was the BB Comics comp.

Oh. And, Nicole won it. So, she's the HoH and Power of Veto holder.

TAR32: Meet the Cast - Part 1

Dating: Alana and Leo
Alana Folsom is 29 from Somerville, MA. She's an Internal Communications Associate at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Oh my. She enjoys poetry, cooking and running. Hmm. One of those might help her, maybe all dependent on the challenges.

Leo Brown is 31 and also from Somerville, MA. He's a senior healthcare data analyst. So, we're talking mostly about software computer stuff there. I don't think any of his hobbies are going to help him in the race too much -- "Playing the violin, vegetable gardening, eating peanut butter, and hosting friends in our backyard." He would like to go to Australia to meet a platypus. Ah, a man after my own heart. He wants to prove to Alana that he's a keeper. I don't know how they'll do but I think they will be likable.

Siblings: Aparna and Eswar
Aparna Dhinakaran is 26 from Berkeley, CA, She is an engineer/entrepreneur. Cool -- she's very involved with AI (Artificial Intelligence), It won't help her on the race, but cool anyway. She says she likes writing in cute little coffeeshops and preparing for her Bollywood breakout. Um. Okay.

Eswar Dhinakaran is 24, from Fremont, CA. He's a software engineer/entrepreneur. Thankfully, he at least has some more athletic hobbies than his sister. In his CBS bio he's nowhere near as wordy as she is. Both siblings grew up watching the show and it's a lifetime dream for them to actually be on it.

Former NFL: Gary and DeAngelo
Gary Barnidge is 34, from Middleburg, FL. He played for the Carolina Panthers and the Cleveland Browns and is now running a non-profit football-related organization. As I don't watch football at all, I had to look him up. He's the white guy.

DeAngelo Williams is 37, from Charlotte, NC. He played for Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers. All he lists is retired for now.

Both seem to be a bit bored and are looking for adrenalin excitement as well as adventure. They will probably do well.

Married Parents: Hung and Chee
Chee Lee is 38 from Houston, TX. He lists his occupation as financial planning and analysis. He seems to be athletic although he enjoys binge-watching shows with his wife and once ate five pounds of pizza in an hour to win a contest.

Hung Nguyen is 39 also living in Houston. She's a professional development coach -- turning potential into promotions (she says). She was born in a refugee camp and is kind of hoping the race will take her back there as she has never returned. Both parents seem to be supportive and both like to experiment with new foods. I think they too will do well!

If you haven't signed up for the blog pool yet, please sign up by going to THIS LINK. Please don't sign up on this cast post! The deadline is looming! The season premiere is Wednesday, October 14, after Big Brother.

BB22: Live Feeds into Friday Evening, Nominations - Oct. 9

IF YOU WANT IN ON THE AMAZING RACE BLOG POOL, THE SIGN UP POST IS HERE!

You're boring us, too.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Boring Boars:
  • As you know from my brief update last night, Nicole is the new HoH.
  • So, we know that Cody is safe this week.
  • And, because Cody is safe this week, that means Enzo is safe this week.
  • Oh my.
  • That leaves two people -- Christmas and Memphis -- for the chopping block.
  • Sure enough, that's where the discussions go.
  • Enzo is worried that if Memphis saves himself with the veto, he will go up in his place.
  • Well, duh. Yeah.
  • Nicole assures him that if that happens, she will save him in a tiebreaker.
  • Okay, that would be what her buddy Cody wants!
  • So, the real problem is the target.
  • It's sounding like Memphis although they all want Christmas out, too.
  • Memphis is more of a threat in comps.
  • Memphis put Nicole on the block.
  • On the other hand, Christmas didn't use her veto to save her and she promised Dani she would target her.
  • It sounds like they'll go with the more strategic target -- Memphis.
  • Meanwhile, in addition to Nicole's recent studying, it looks like Enzo is the only other one memorizing the days and comps.
Surprise, surprise -- the feeds came back. Nicole nominated Memphis and Christmas.

It's so sad I have to nominate people.

Shooting for 3rd again? Win something!

Needs something stronger.

Studying for the Raisin Bran test.

TAR32: The Amazing Race Blog Pool OPENS!

Well, that just kind of sneaked up on us. Or, at least, on me! The season premier of The Amazing Race 32 is next Wednesday, October 14, at 9pm ET/PT -- following the Big Brother episode. The season was filmed long before the pandemic hit and has been waiting in the wings.

I'll be posting more on the cast over the next few days. However, I want to get this pool in motion! Lifeguard SueGee has graciously volunteered to run the blog pool. She's cool like that, y'know.

What's it all about?

Our esteemed and accomplished Lifeguard SueGee (AKA SqueeGee) will randomly match up pool entrants with the race teams. Once matched up with a team, you need to cheer them on until they're Philiminated or win it all. Yeah, even if they're obnoxious. Deal with it!

What will I win?

IF you win, you'll be pleased to know there is NO CASH PRIZE! Nuh-uh. No way. That would cheapen the whole thing, don't ya think? Instead of paltry prizes, you get BRAGGING RIGHTS. Yep! From now through all eternity YOU will be a blog pool winner here. Feel free (and I encourage it) to put your win in your sign-off signature so that everyone can oooh and ahhh. Can't you hear the crowd now?

How do I get in on this wild action?!?!

You just need to sign up in the comments of THIS POST and THIS POST ONLY. If you put your name in on another post or Facebook or Twitter, it might be missed. If you come here as anonymous, you must come up with some sort of name in you comment. Otherwise, we can't tell the anonymous folks apart. Well, except for the unruly ones, maybe.

When is the deadline for joining the pool?

The deadline for signing up is TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13 at NOON Pacific Time (that's 3pm ET). Don't put it off! Sign up TODAY!

BB22; Live Feeds HoH Winner - Oct. 9

Yes, the live feeds remained blocked for the three hours after the show ended here on the East Coast. Between that practice and the gazillion other feeds blocks, it's been an incredibly annoying season. Don't even get me started on the cast!

While we didn't see the comp play out, it's impossible for them to keep it hushed. Nicole is the new HoH.
You heard me.
Nicole.

BB22: "Live" Eviction Maybe HoH Show Blog Party - Oct. 8

Good evening. You might have noticed that I have the word "live" in quotation marks in the title. It might be really live. But I don't know. The narrator didn't say live in the promo for it last night and the live feeds have been cut off all day. I also don't have a clue whether the HoH comp will play out on the show or will be blocked to the live feeds after the show ends here on the East Coast. I guess we'll see. BB22 is as messed up as the rest of 2020.

If you want to check the pool standings, the updated pool from SueGee can be found at this here link.

I'll be updating this post with the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest update! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to join in on the fun!

Skipping through the Previously On segment ...

Well, at least we will get a jury house segment!

Day 65 and we get the reactions of last week's "thrilling" (Julie's word, not mine) triple eviction. Now it's a question of who has whose back. Heck, I think they can all just depend for sure on themselves. Tyler needs to scramble for votes. He thinks he has Enzo. But he doesn't know that Enzo knows he was lying to him about Enzo being a target for Cody.

Meanwhile, Christmas just being Christmasy is on the annoying side. Memphis is honest with Tyler to a point. When asked, he said he was leaning towards voting him out because he's a comp beast. He talks to Cody -- who only votes in a tie -- and tells him he would be loyal.

Memphis downplays his Christmas connection to Cody. But, since Enzo already clued in Cody about it, he knows Memphis is lying.

It's all a spool of lies, I tell ya! -- credit Howie Gordon BB6, BB7

Enzo is being the most loyal to anyone in the game. Unfortunately, his loyalty is to Cody. While handsome and obviously a physical competitor, I can't really abide by someone who is clueless about demonyms and thinks a Texan is an animal. Well, some are, but I digress ...

Jury segment time. We have Ian amusing himself. Da'Vonne arrives. They think Dani is the best player in the house. Ian has shaved off his moustache. It didn't look right on him anyway. Kevin arrives. David arrives. And we're into commercial.

Dani arrives. She tells them she knows it all and that Nicole isn't a threat to anyone. They watch the video and Cody is HoH. David is getting lectured by Dani and Kevin about taking the money. Ian doesn't blame him. Memphis wins HoH. Christmas wins Veto, David is evicted. David and Kevin are dismayed Enzo didn't take a shot at Nicole. Tyler is the new HoH and wins Veto. Dani is evicted. Dani thinks Cody is playing the best game.

To the living room ...
Christmas - Shout out to God and her family too long. HG, consider the type of player you know of me since day one. The best final six, vote for me to continue this journey.
Tyler - 164 days in the house, thanks Angela, thankful to be an All Star, it's crazy, it won't be good for your game. I'm not done yet.

The votes to evict:
Enzo - Tyler
Nicole - Tyler
Memphis - Tyler

Bye bye Man Bun Boy. If you didn't lie to Enzo about Cody, you may have had a shot. All the final twos were revealed to him in the goodbye messages.

The HoH comp starts. I expect the live feeds to be blocked for it. Stashing Pumpkins, transfer pumpkins one at a time on teeter-totter to basket and ring in.

BB22: Veto Show Blog Party - Oct. 7

I mistakenly titled my last show post as "Veto" but then fixed it. I got myself all discombobulated between the triple eviction, the live feeds and the extended wait for the aired show. Tonight is the veto show. But you knew that.

I'll be updating this entry with the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news. As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!

Sitting through the Previously On while twiddling my thumbs. It's hard to type while thumb-twiddling, though. I hope the segment is short.

Cody would have to put up someone he has a final two with if he has to replace one of his nominees -- Tyler or Christmas. So, we go into the traditional and tired Diary Room segments of each one telling us why they must win veto.

Cody would prefer Christmas go. Nicole had promised Dani that she would go after Christmas. Will she? Hmm. Enzo talks to Nicole. He throws the two nominees under the bus to her and plays up to Nicole.

Enzo plays dumb to Tyler in case he wins the veto. Enzo is actually thinking a bit more this season than he did in his previous season.

Christmas cries while talking to Cody saying she isn't taking it personally or emotionally. Right. He's not impressed although he's apologetic to her. He tells us she did it to herself.

Filler material with Tyler and Memphis talking about their fathers passing and mothers remarrying. Memphis says you don't really get it until you have a son. Tyler tells us that his father was a fan of the show and that was what drove him to be on the show. Emotional bit.

Christmas talks to her buddy Memphis. She doesn't want him to go on the block if she comes off the block. Or, if Tyler comes off, he will go up. Memphis reminds us of his final two with Cody and is sure he would be safe. We know Cody has final twos with Enzo, Nicole and Memphis.

Tyler lies to Enzo telling him that Cody wanted him targeted in the triple. He tells Enzo about the Committee. Of course, Enzo knows about the Committee. He thinks Tyler is desperate. Enzo is sure that Cody is his final two because they are the Root. He feels he can't trust Tyler.

Veto comp time. All compete because they're down to six. It's baseball themed with food included. They have to arrange photos in chronological order, hit button to lock in time. The crowd will cheer or boo. They have a max-out time of 25 minutes. Ten pictures of evicted houseguests are the photos. It's the food in their hands, accessories and clothes to determine the order.

Nicole is up first and seems to be having problems with it. Then it's Memphis. He seems to have a plan. Enzo is up. He feels safe. But he wants to win anyway to keep the nominations the same for Cody. He seems more confused than Nicole was.

Tyler is up. He starts out fast and very wrong. Then it's Cody. He is hustling. I'm surprised he knows what chronological means since he thinks a Texan is an animal. Christmas is up.
Times in minutes and seconds:
Christmas 12.04
Enzo 25.0
Tyler 25.0
Cody 4.57
Nicole 7.11
Memphis 8.16

Cody wins the Power of Veto!

Tyler is feeling down. He doesn't expect Cody to change the nominations. He and Enzo both timed out. Christmas doesn't think Cody will change the nominations but she wants to campaign to stay.

Enzo rants to Cody over Tyler. Tyler wasn't Cody's target but may have worked himself into the role. Silly boy doesn't realize how close Enzo and Cody are.

Tyler goes once again to Cody. He tells him that he's sure if he stays on the block, he will go home. He tells Cody that Memphis is ready to turn on him (Cody). He's scrambling. He tells Cody that Memphis would take Christmas to the final two. The problem is that Cody knows Tyler lied to Enzo about targeting him.

And, here we are ... time for the veto meeting. Cody does NOT use the veto. Tyler and Christmas remain on the block.

BB22: Live Feeds into Tuesday Evening - Oct. 6

Christmas's buddy

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Anxious Ants:
  • Another day in the house of fun and adventure.
  • Yeah, right.
  • Well, we didn't have any insanely long feed blocks.
  • Just a heck of a lot of short ones.
  • Lots and lots of small talk today.
  • Oh, and Christmas continues to suck up to Nicole for her vote.
  • Today she used her culinary slop skills to work her way into Nicole's heart.
  • Gag me now.
  • Tyler would like to think he might get Nicole's vote to stay.
  • But he knows deep down inside that's probably not going to happen.
  • Yeah, Cody. It looks like Tyler will go home on your HoH despite what you said to him.
  • And it's all because of kowtowing to Memphis.
  • There just isn't a heck of a lot happening.
  • I'd dance to entertain you.
  • But, no.
  • I'll just quietly post this.
  • Laters.

At this point, I'm fine with an Enzo win

I wish she would go away

Is that a hair mat atop her head?

Will he stay? Probably not.

BB22: Maybe Nominations Show Blog Party, Maybe Not - Oct. 5

Like so many things about this season (and year) this too is messed up. In its infinite wisdom, BB changed the Sunday night show to Monday to avoid football delays on Sundays. Well, duh. It seems the NFL decided to air football on Monday nights on CBS, starting way later than they start the Sunday games. So, BB was SUPPOSED to air at 8PM Eastern. Now I see it scheduled for 10PM in this area. It's doubtful it will be that early at all here.

I have this post set to go up at 10PM ET. Right now I honestly don't know when the show will air here or if I'll be up to live blogging it at some ridiculously late hour. But, everyone is free to party in the comments area. Please behave.

Okay, I turned my TV on a few minutes before 10 and BB is on? A repeat because David just went home? I'm so lost.

I will not be updating this entry because, so far, it all seems like the end of the Triple from Thursday.

Okay ... something new. BB Yoga Studio for the the HoH comp. Namastay off the Block. Keeping three buttons pressed while undressed (not to the naked point). Each button release will make the clock go faster.

I guess I'm updating this.

Christmas out in the first round. Nicole out in the second round. Enzo out in the third round.  CODY WINS HOH!

Both Christmas and Tyler are worried because they were the two who voted to oust Nicole while the plan had been David.

Cody wants to target Christmas. Enzo is fine with that. However, Memphis wants Tyler targeted.

Surprise, surprise ... Cody nominates Tyler and Christmas.

BB22: Live Feeds into Monday - Oct. 5

Pretty inside and out ... um ...

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Inexplicable Live Feeds Blocks:
  • Yeah, I'm getting pretty disgusted with all the live feeds blocking this season.
  • Heck, they get a booze delivery and take the feeds down for two hours.
  • It's ridiculous.
  • And now they're even messing with the aired television episodes. Due to football delays on Sundays, they changed the veto show to Monday nights.
  • Um.
  • There's football scheduled tonight on CBS.
  • The local listings have BB scheduled for 10pm tonight. That's IF football has ended by then.
  • I'll put a post up for the show, but don't know if I will live blog it really late at night. Grr.
  • Okay, back to the live feeds.
  • Nicole is setting herself up well for pretty much the only kind of comp she can win -- questions.
  • She's been studying alone using the backgammon board and knows the days and comps inside out and upside down.
  • As for the nominees -- Christmas and Tyler -- unless you see an update from me stating otherwise, they're still on the block.
  • I'm sure Cody will not be using the veto to change his own nominations.
  • However, he has indeed let Memphis get in his head.
  • Cody's original target was Christmas.
  • He thought he would have both Enzo and Nicole on board to evict her.
  • Now Memphis has been turning the target to Tyler with Enzo.
  • Enzo will go along with whomever as long as it's not him. He might actually like Tyler better than he does Christmas. But if taking Tyler out is better for his own game, that's what he'll do.
  • Nicole has good reason to target Christmas -- she promised Dani revenge. But it looks like she too might be swayed to vote out Tyler.
  • I personally like Tyler, but do think that it would be more dangerous letting him stay until the end while they have the chance to evict him now.
  • He's good at comps and he gets along well with others.
  • Then you have Christmas. While she's won a few comps, she's often rubbed others a bit wrong.
  • Most of the others would rather sit next to a Christmas in a final two than a Tyler.
  • I guess I don't blame them.

Sitting pretty once again this week

Studying days and comps alone

Cheers before the feeds cut

BB22: Live Feeds into Saturday Evening, PoV - Oct. 3

I am NOT stupid!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Miserable Mice:
  • I know. I know.
  • I didn't post separately Cody's nominations.
  • But I did say what he was going to do in my last update.
  • And, that's exactly what he did.
  • Someone in comments mentioned the nominees.
  • Oh.
  • You still don't know.
  • Tyler and Christmas.
  • Cody's target is Christmas.
  • But we're getting in the days when they all aren't necessarily going to be sheep to the HOH's whims.
  • Memphis has a good relationship with Christmas.
  • Well, as good a relationship as he can have because he's so Memphis-like.
  • Nicole, on the other hand, has vowed to get rid of Christmas for her buddy Dani and for reasons of her own.
  • So, the swing vote would be Enzo.
  • It seems like he'll want to keep his buddy Tyler in the game.
  • But it's to the point where friendship doesn't trump game.
  • Sorry to use that word, but it fits with what I want to say.
  • The feeds have been rather um ... tedious. The camera people at the switch are too quick to block even rather innocuous conversations. It would seem to me that talking about previous hamsters and previous seasons would be allowed. Nope! Stars!
  • I really liked the fish better.
  • Or ,,, that one season with the tarantulas was cool!
  • Watching them play backgammon is worse that watching them play chess.
  • With the crew in there no, there is no chance of any stimulating intellectual discussions.
  • Oh, well.
  • All of the hamsters play in the veto.
  • And, once I know who won -- the feeds are blocked as I'm typing this up -- I'll tell you the winner and zap this update up!
  • CODY won the Power of Veto.

How much longer can she be carried?
