Survivor Gabon: 11/13 Show Post

jackie's tv blog, survivor

The show has started here on the East Coast. While I won't be live-blogging it per se, I will update this entry with the big news. My full review will be going up on TV Squad later tonight. As always, have fun in the comments!

Fang won reward and send Bob to Exile Island.

Merge on! Susie wins the first individual immunity building fire.

Whoops! Lost my pool player -- Charlie was voted out in yet another blindside by Kenny.

  1. Hi,
Phil and Amy from the Biggest Loser are from my hometown, so they are on the local news and radio after each show. Co-workers and friends can not undersatand the reaction from Heba and the Herd. They say in life at home everyone seems to like him and don't know where their hatred is coming from and neither does he. Now to survior. Go Matty!!

  2. Congrats, Monty!

    Go, Kenny!

Whatever happened to Txrednekgirl? I think I lost my Survivor partner :(

  3. Slingshot golf is kind of cool.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Corrine just sunk Bob. I hope they planted another idol.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Yeah, way cool... I wanna play!

That's some crazy dysfunctional squabbling going on. Jeff being funny, too.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I hope Randy p.oed enough people that they send him home if they go to council. I DO NOT LIKE HIM!

    ReplyDelete
  7. I love the local culture segments of Survivor. They could have planted another idol since the gang through the last one in the ocean. What does everyone else think?

    ReplyDelete
  8. I think that Corrine knew that if they sent Bob to council that he might have the opportunity to find the immunity idol.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Bob is sunk no matter what if they don't win immunity (unlikely) or if they don't merge, he's a goner. At least going to exile island, he gets to eat again.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Beautiful women who are filthy and stink? Kenny's been there too long.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Er.. Kenny, you have to get the boat closer to get unstuck. Duh.

Okay, dude, you are so not the "provider". And those are so not "two beautiful women". I hope he's saying that with irony.

Yes, Bob, you are in "deep doo-doo".

    ReplyDelete
  12. Oh bummer... I spoke too soon. But ole Bob is smart to make another idol, lol. He can outsmart Crystal, Susie and Kenny any day. well, maybe not Kenny.

    ReplyDelete
  13. RJM,
My daughter and I were discussing Amy/Phil today and can't explain why Heba and especially mean Vicki dislike Phil so much. We thought maybe the disagreements might have been edited out so we wouldn't understand the dislike. But especially Vicki is downright hateful and is giving a terrible impression of herself and her alliance. Either they are very vindictive or immature for voicing their comments to the audience. We sure are hoping Phil can come back and win the $100K.
    Now to survivor....

  14. Wow, most believable fake idol ever! Just picture that in comparison to the stick that was used last season.

    ReplyDelete
  15. YES! Another idol and Bob is searching for it.

NO! Don't give up now, Bob.

If they merge, that phony idol won't have a chance to come into play, will it?

Bob, you should have kept searching.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I just read what I typed earlier...

I meant threw the last one - not through! Arrrgh

    ReplyDelete
  17. YEs, yes, yes!!!! The merge is here.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Sasquatch and Big Foot. Fangs names for Crystal.

    They have merged. YAY!

    ReplyDelete
  19. MERGE! Bob's got a chance now.

We haven't seen this make-fire comp in a long time, right?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Susie is a goner in this one. Hope she goes next to join Marcus at Ponderosa. Would love to be a fly on that wall. Sorry to the Susie pool players. :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Kenny, Crystal and Susie are screwed, I hope, if their past performances are to judge them.

    ReplyDelete
  22. NOW Susie's gonna win something?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Uh, Susie and Sugar rockin' the fire and nobody else even in it. Wha???

    ReplyDelete
  24. Never would have guessed Susie for a win in the fire-starting comp!

Uh-oh, be careful Kenny! Better start scheming to get rid of Crystal.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I have egg on my face. Never would have thought that ending to the challenge. I hope the old Kota sticks together and gives Crystal or Kenny the boot.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I can't believe Susie won this! She's going to be cockier than ever about final 3.

Randy should bite his tongue, although it sure would be nice to see Big Foot go.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I hope Matt joins Crystal, Kenny and Susie and go after Randy.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm hoping Randy goes. I don't care for Crystal but his meanness is getting to me. I'm not too cool with his namecalling over her size or appearance. Plus he acted like a jerk in the Reward challenge.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I hope Charlie and Corinne realize soon that Matty is the better bet. Sugar tends to listen to the floaters.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Looks like Bob's off the radar. Charlie might just get to see his Marcus sooner than we think.

    ReplyDelete
  31. You're not the only rat, Kenny!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Kenny, my little rat! But which way will Sugar swing?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm not sure if I like any of these people anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hellllooooo, Marcus! Looking smoking hot!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Joy, I was just thinking the same thing earlier. Not a likeable bunch. Bob's the only one I'd invite to dinner.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I do know I can't stand Crystal. Or Randy.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yeah, Bob is definitely okay.

    ReplyDelete
  38. What's with the waterworks, Sugar?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Poor Sugar, she cries over everything.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Geesh Sugar!!! You said it yourself. Kenny lied to you once so why believe him now. This season is sooooo frustrating. But at least Charlie and Marcus are together again.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Now we know why Sugar's crying! Blindside, again!! Oh, Kenny, you dirty sneaky rat... sigh, but he's my player :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. WOW Charlie is gone!
Been lurking, was gone overnight, and I am tired.

    ReplyDelete
  43. At some point, Sugar will lose that idol protection and then, all these jerks that she keeps protecting will throw her butt out of there. Crystal, Kenny and Susie will be the first in line to do so.

    ReplyDelete
  44. And Kenny's probably smart to keep some of the other big targets around a little longer.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think Sugar will be safe to the final five. Then she will be gone. Please, please, please let Randy go next week.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Matty reminds me of Leonardo DiCaprio the way he looked in Titanic. Sort of.

    ReplyDelete
  47. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I think it's the greasy hair, Joy :) Sorry, he doesn't do it for me. But I wouldn't mind spending some time at Ponderosa with Marcus. Lucky Charlie!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I agree joyn. If Kenny makes it to the finals, he has this game won. I don't like him but he has outwitted and outplayed all of them so far. Who would have thought.....

    ReplyDelete
  50. Matty reminds me of him too. Well with Charlie gone maybe it's evened up more. I hope Randy goes too. He is likeable until he starts calling people names for things they have no control over.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I know it would take a miracle, but I wish Bob had some sliver of a chance to win the mil.

And I do (grudgingly) give Kenny credit. Don't know why so may people listen to him, but listen, they do.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Honest, he reminds me of DiCaprio, but Matty strikes me as a bit on the loony side and there's no attraction there. That "happy" laugh of his gives me the shivers.

    ReplyDelete
  53. hey clemintime,
our boy is using his brain again. I think if matty, kenny, crystal susie and sugar all stick together they can rule the roost!

    Go Kenny!

    ReplyDelete
  54. There is nothing remotely "likable" about Randy at ANY time.

    He's a foul-mouthed *f*rick!!

They can't get rid of him soon enough as far as I'm concerned.

30 seconds, literally, after he appeard for the first time, I knew I would *hate* him and I haven't been disappointed in that regard.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Uggg, I had my knickers in such a knot, my fingers were faster than my brain, LOL. The word is *appeared* Oy!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hi All!! The show just came on a few minutes ago here on the west coast. But I'm in the middle of watching One Life to Live. Gotta get one out of the way before starting the other! LOL

I'll read the comments after I watch. I don't want to know ahead of time who's torch gets extinguished.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Well, the show is over on the West Coast. Loved the surprised looks on some of the faces when the votes came in for Charlie to go!

On my forum, Terry in CA and another friend and I decided Randy is a pissy idiot who needs to be cast adrift at sea. Maybe next week!

    ReplyDelete
  58. AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!
    I HATE CRYSTAL!!!!
WHEN OH WHEN WILL SHE GO AWAY???

    ReplyDelete
  59. Just watched the show and had to leave my comments.

    BEST EPISODE THIS SEASON!!!

Whoever said this season stunk was wrong. Were seeing evey aspect of the motto.

    Outwit. Outlast. Outplay.

The best thing prevented this season has been the throwing of competions. Hate that.

Finally, back to basics. You've been there how many days and can't start a fire. No matter what you say about Sugar or Susie they stepped up. Kudos to them.

Props to Bob for the first believable fake II. Ozzie take lessons. "Sometimes it's just a stick."

That's right baby! With CRYSTAL COX the truth is what you get. If you can't beat them physically strategy is the way to go.

Randy funny, funny man evil but funny. Got to love the colorful commentary.

And comment to Marcus after reading his exit interviews:
If you didn't come to play the game with everything you had in your arsenal why bother. Re comments: I wanted to play an honorable game with integrity.

Glad I got that off my chest.

    Joanne from South Ozone Park
    That's not the game.

  60. I liked the reward challenge, and agree Randy must go...soon. It was nice to see them enjoy the dance - so carefree. I liked the colors they had - everything has been so brown this season.

I also enjoyed how they stacked up the votes, doing all four Crystal first and then moving on to Charlie. When Sugar was crying I thought it was because she was voting out Crystal - so - another blindside.

    Later -

    ReplyDelete
  61. I don't think anyone is giving
    Sugar credit for being smart.
She is actually playing a brilliant
    game.

Someone please explain how an olympic athelete can compete as
    poorly as crystal

  62. Good morning everybody. I meant to comment last night, but ended up watching another show and then too pooped to pop. Went to bed instead.

Kenny is really dumb! I don't care that he is outwitting everyone and convincing them to do what he wants them to do. That's only because they are dumber than he is.

I couldn't believe his trying to get around that stick when he was in the boat. He commented that he was going around in circles. DUH! I wonder how long in real time it took him to figure out what he had to do to get unstuck?

And Sugar is stupider (and yes that's a word cause I just made it up)than all of them. How could she vote out Charlie instead of Crystal. Where in the world was her logic. Oh, I forgot, she doesn't have any. And her tears were for what? She has such a low self esteem that she stuck with the losers cause she thinks she's a loser.

As much as I'm harping on all the moves made in this episode, I have to admit it was exciting to watch.

Randy to Matt re the last shot was hysterical. He was right... Just drop the ball in the hole. What in the world was Matty thinking? See, he's one of the dumb ones. Now to clarify a little, Randy gets on my nerves with his constant negativity, but when you're right, you're right. He was right on this one. If Matty had shot that too hard and it popped out, well... enuf said.

Everybody enjoy your day... I'll be checking in on occasion if anyone wants to "talk".

  63. Good morning!

What a wacky season! I don't think there have ever been so many blindsided by so many poor players.

I liked Charlie. I hated to see him go. I also liked Marcus, but it looked like he was getting a bit full of himself, so I could see that one more. With Charlie, it was only because Ken was ticked off at him over the idol clue. If he wanted it all to himself, he should have been more careful about picking it up!

As much as I don't like Randy, I have to agree with MEB. When you're right, you're right. He's a rude jerk and I don't like rude jerks!

Happy Friday!! Enjoy your day! It's going to be dry and sunny here for the weekend. I have a plans ahead with my grandson. Yard work, movie and the zoo. Oh, and I almost forgot - a dance competition. My daughter is on the alumni dance team from her high school. They're performing a couple of times. It should be fun.

  64. I got a real kick out of the Immunity Challenge last night. It was so funny to see Susie win and have Sugar right behind her.
I was very surprised that Bob didn't do better in the challenge. Maybe it was just creative editing but it seemed that Susie and Sugar were the only one who ever got fire.
I was very impressed with the fake Immunity Idol that Bob crafted.I would have never thought to use tree resin for glue.
Old Bob has a few tricks up his sleeves. He probably won't win the whole thing but if they have a fan favorite I will vote for him.

  66. meb, you sure made some good points! I don't think I have ever watched a Survivor player brag about being the rat in the corner gnawing around at everyone. Wouldn't that be a bad thing that you call other people instead of being proud of it?! Sugar wears a necklace. Has she ever explained it? Because it fits her. It is an adapter and she adapts to whatever the last person she talks to says.

    Sue

  67. Shout out to PDX Granny.....OLTL is finally so hot this week!

Kenny is on my nerves cause he is so sneaky, and his references to rats, well he is resembling one..however, he is playing a good game and I have to give him props for that.
Sugar...oh Sugar, yes I would have gone with the Crystal out too, but since Corrine gives her no repsect at all and thought she had her wrapped, this is a good move, Corrine was blindsided....and I love that, she was way too cocky.
and on Randy...well Laurie told you how we feel about him!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Joyn: YES - he does look like Leo!
Jackie: SO GLAD you are feeling weell enough to post. All is OK?
    Everyone else: SUGAR ROX!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  69. I have been trying to figure out since last Friday how I keep missing Kelly Czarnecki on the show since she is listed in the yet to be eliminated Survivor Pool list.
I guess if I had taken the time to read the eliminated list I would have realized she is no longer with us.
Duh I am not smarter than a 5th grader! LOL
It appears that I have the same reading skills as some of the contestants on TAR. I read part of the info not the whole thing and then only comprend half of what I need to know.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Now I can't spell! I meant comprehend.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Hi all. Wow have I been busy at work today. This is my first chance to pop in! Here's my take on last night's show.

First off, contrary to how it was edited, I don't think Sugar voting Charlie out had anything to do with Kenny convincing her. She doesn't trust or like Kenny or Crystal or Corinne for that matter. She didn't fall for Corinne all of a sudden being nice to her. Even though they didn't show us, I think she voted along with the only person she does actually trust in this game - Matty. I think she cried because she did like Charlie, but it was smarter for her to stick with the old Fang alliance. Corinne, Randy and Bob, not necessarily in that order, should be toast. Kenny is not the mastermind he thinks he is. I think things have just been working out his way and he takes credit for it. I absolutely detest Randy! What a nasty, sleazy man. I could care less if he hates Crystal or not (don't like her at all myself), but the name calling is just uncalled for in my opinion. I really wish he would call her one of those names to her face. Corinne is another one who doesn't seem to have any redeemable qualities. She certainly has a low opinion of Sugar and I was glad to see that Sugar didn't fall for her spiel. I can see why she and Randy get along so well - two peas in a pod. I will give Kenny credit for getting his alliance to vote out Charlie instead of Randy or Corinne like they wanted to. Marcus better watch out over at the Ponderosa, his boy crush is on the way. I'm now rooting for Matty and Sugar (I've decided to forgive her for getting rid of my Ace).

    ReplyDelete
  72. Marcus and Charlie are getting along very well over in Ponderosa. Seems both are a bit girly trying to figure out what to wear to the next tribal. It's kind of funny watching them together. Charlie looks good without the beard.

    ReplyDelete
  73. rbennie--thanks for saving me alot of typing. You said everything I think about Survivor!

Somehow Matt is becoming my fav., too. But I have to give props to my gal Susie...I am woman, watch my fire roar!! LOL

I think Corrine is going to be working hard to flip to Fang. Kota is outnumbered and will be picked off one-by-one.

Hopefully, Randy is the next to go. I really DO NOT LIKE HIM!!!

I laughed when I saw Charlie voted out. My first thought was "watch out Marcus, your man-crush is on the way"!! For Charlie it's a nice consellation prize.

    Off to check out Ponderosa.

  74. I went and saw the new Bond film, Quantum of Solice, and highly enjoyed it. Different then some with no gadgets and many chase scenes.

Also Price is Right, tonight at 9pE is a Salute to Our Troops. Guess only servicemen will be the contestants. I hope they clean the set of prizes!
