Survivor Gabon: 12/11 Show Post

jackie's tv blog, survivor

The show has started here on the East Coast. My full show review will be up later over on TV Squad. I'll update this post with major events, but the real fun is in the comments. I hope to see you there!

Bob continues his streak by winning reward. He chose to bring Crystal and Kenny with him to visit a gorilla sanctuary, overnight with a meal and all. He chose to send Susie to Exile Island. Matty hopes to flip Sugar while they're alone.

Bob wins Immunity! Four challenges in a row!

Whoa! Sugar saved Matty with the hidden idol and Crystal got the boot!

  1. Hey, am I first?

    ReplyDelete
  2. FIRST? I hope that doesn't jinx my Sugar girl

    ReplyDelete
  3. I just DONOT KNOW WHY or HOW Suzie has remained. It's like the one other season where some Latino soccer mom won the whole shebang, and was never heard from again. A non-winner.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Kenny is getting a little too big for his britches.... and not because of gaining any weight.

    Everyone, check in.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Uh-oh, Kenny. Watch yourself!

How can the finale be on Sunday? Don't we have too many people left? Any chance of a double eviction tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  6. GO SUGAR!!!!!!!
    then
    BOB!!!!
    and also
    GO pretty ELEPHANTS!!!!
    Whoo HOOO!!!!

    (sorry..too much Red Bull?)

    ReplyDelete
  7. I hope Matty or Bob wins immunity tonight.

Hoping somehow that Crystal, Susie or Kenny goes.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Petals, I think your Sugar girl is safe this week. Love the Christmas Story lamp! Have you seen the Hallmark ornament?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Matty
    Bob
    Kenny
    Crystal
    Sugar

    ReplyDelete
  10. I think it has to be a double eviction, doesn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Oh No! Kenny better watch out!

    hello Clemintine

Let's hope Kenny can weasel his way to stay in the game

    ReplyDelete
  12. Nooo, Kenny go. Kenny's my guy (the little rat). I want the little conniving pipsqueak to win it!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Seems like too many left to me.

    ReplyDelete
  14. AM I missing something, or is Kenny as on top of it as he says he is?

It's always dangerous to get too cocky or confident in this game. We watch season after season for the last 8 years because YOU NEVER KNOW how things can change....

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi Txrednekgirl! Double cheers for our guy!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Becky, no - is there an ornament? I'll go to Hallmark.com to check it out. I just love that movie.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hope Bob plays Kenny no matter what he says to him now. He'd be crazy to give him his immunity.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Syd - did you see the GG noms? Revolutionary Road leads...it opens here 12/26, and I'll be first in line!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Geesh - feed Kenny! He looks like a refugee.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Bob could just NOT win immunity so he then could have promised Kenny to give it to him but he own't have to...

    oops, he did win

    ReplyDelete
  21. How can Cyrstal not be good at basketball? Not racially, I mean - she's just so tall?

    ReplyDelete
  22. YEA BOB great challenge

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm so glad Bob won - he's the one who'd appreciate that gorilla preserve the most, you know?

    ReplyDelete
  24. take kenny with you bob!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oops, that was not for immunity, duh.

I was surprised he picked CHrystal over Kenny but then he got a second chance

    ReplyDelete
  26. Crystal - what an awesome display of your athletic skills, as usual - NOT!!

    What's Bob doing? I'm confused.

    ReplyDelete
  27. One has to admire Susie for flying under the radar.

Bob has too much integrity for this game. I do hope he wins even though I don't have his name.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think Bob looks worse.

    ReplyDelete
  29. He MUST be trying play the game his way. Kenny and Crystal? HA, have fun on Exile, Susie!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I would not have left Kenny and Sugar together to plot.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Man, Survivor is such a good diet. Someone should do a Survivor cookbook, you know? All the nasty, tasteless rice dishes, get some cast recipes, photos, etc. "101 ways to prepare coconut" ot something like that.
    Jackie - run with it!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm not here...I am not looking...I can't watch until later. Just stopped in to say hello.

    ReplyDelete
  33. wow, Lawrence Fishburn joins CSI. That might make me watch it..

    Bob deserves this trip!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Petals said...Becky, no - is there an ornament? I'll go to Hallmark.com to check it out. I just love that movie.

Yes, it is a sound ornament too with the conversation on where to put it.

We give the grandchildren a Hallmark ornament each Christmas up until their 18 th year. I picked up those ornaments today plus the ones I still collect.

I don't buy as many as I once did. The year I almost fell off the ladder when decorating my 10 ft tree was when I decided I didn't want to play that game any more. I sold almost four 18 gallon containers of ornaments on eBay last year.

    ReplyDelete
  35. woo those drinks look good!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Seriously, I think the Olympic committee should revoke Chrystal's medal for her pathetic display on this show... kidding, NOT!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. They're playing you, BOB. Watch out!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I want one of those drinks, how refreshing looking they are.

    ReplyDelete
  39. wtf kenny? take the immuinty idol

    ReplyDelete
  40. petal -- jsutgetting time to read comments now, you are cracking me UP.

    GO PETALS!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Makes me want to watch "Gorillas in the Mist"!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Sydney: how's the laptop? all better?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Wow! To be so close to those gorillas.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Amazing Gorlllas!

I knew Susie would at least get to eat.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Meanwhile... back at camp....

This is Matty's plan to get SUgar on his side?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Sugar is the Queen of that shack. She earned the title.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Sugar, stick with Kenny, he's not a physical threat!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Love the 80s throwback bilevel 'do on Sugar. The girl has a style.
    Mattie's rocking the buff ala Bret Michaels;
    Bob rocks the bow-tie buff;
Kenny uses his buff as a sleeping bag.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Sugar is such a wild card, you don't know what she will do

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hi Clem -- *Blush* you remembered

No, the battery is still bad, but I didn't want to miss live blogging yet another Thursday with you all so I pulled back the bookcase, plugged in an extension cord, and brought the laptop with the plug over and hooked up.

    ReplyDelete
  51. But Kenny and Crystal would both stab Sugar in the back. They would backdoor her the first chance they get.

    ReplyDelete
  52. quit crying mattie! You went on a reward and kenny didn't

    ReplyDelete
  53. Kenny and Crystal may find out about Karma firsthand.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Oh wah, Sugar I am sick of her always flip flopping with someone and she's always crying while she's doing it.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Finally, Sugar comes to her senses.

    But she can't trust Susie.

    ReplyDelete
  56. don't flip sugar don't flip

    ReplyDelete
  57. Even Matty thinks Sugar is bonkers - her mood swings are going to keep her from winning this game.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'd like to commend Sugar for her doing that shift for the right reasons but she has shifted so often my head is probably spinning to much to think straight about her moves.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I agree with Sugar, Crystal is a big bully!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Here it goes getting all complicated again. Too busy watching to comment.

    ReplyDelete
  61. OMGosh, Crystal is something else! And I think I have HER name -- either her or Susie.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Can Crystal do anything right? Ever?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Oh, please, let someone from the Olympic committee be watching this - she's an embarrassment.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Ouchie, Kenny!

    Ouchie, Bob!

    Go, Kenny!

    ReplyDelete
  65. i can't get a plug plugged in in the dark, how can they fit these pieces in the holes of the mask?

    ReplyDelete
  66. This is too funny. Go BOb!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. wow, this is really hard

    ReplyDelete
  68. NOT KENNY!

Bob is on a huge roll!

    ReplyDelete
  69. wow - 4 straight challenges for bob I'm impressed.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Hmmm... what does it say about me, that I'm suddenly attracted to Matty now that his face is covered.

Oh, I want Kenny to win, but geez I can't wish for Bob to give Kenny the immunity. That would be painful, if Bob got the boot... arrghhh, this is a difficult season!

    ReplyDelete
  71. I can't comment and pay attention to the show!! Oh well!

    ReplyDelete
  72. WONDERFUL!!!! Just don't give it away.

Kenny is a little weasle and rat. But he has played a good game.

Susie hasn't. Sugar has swayed all over the place. Crystal has not been good in any of the challanges. The smartest thing she ever did was align with Kenny.

    ReplyDelete
  73. If he gives that idol to Kenny, he deserves what they'll do to him tonight or (probably) Sunday.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Guys, don't forget: SUGAR is an actress. Her tears & flip-flopping may be all part of an act. Either way, she's convincing.

    ReplyDelete
  75. They may realize that Bob has become the bigger threat.

    ReplyDelete
  76. This is another week to rewind the DVR and watch again.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I KNEW IT! You little rat, Kenny.

Crystal just floats on Kenny's heels.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Sugar's chin is going again...

    ReplyDelete
  79. Vote Kenny out! I guess Crystal is the next best one, though.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Let's all remember that Bob's idol is not real! What if he gives it to Kenny, and they vote for him anyway? If Bob keeps it, he might save himself with a fake idol!

    Yes, vote out Crystal!

    I'm soooooo confused.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Suzie is gonna roll right under the radar. Too bad.

    ReplyDelete
  82. But things usually don't turn out fine, Sugar.

    ReplyDelete
  83. those tribal robes are great keepsakes...

    ReplyDelete
  84. bob -- don't give it away....

ANd if they vote out Chrystal, then KEnny is going to be trying to sabotage them all, but I guess he won't have an ally left either

    ReplyDelete
  85. Bob has immunity! He just won the real one.

    ReplyDelete
  86. notice that everyone's clothse are the same color of dirt. Matty and Susies tee shirt.'

    ReplyDelete
  87. Oops, I'm confusing Bob's fake idol with his real necklace.

    Please vote out Crystal.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Kenny needs to put on some weight, or else Angelina & Brad will adopt him...

    ReplyDelete
  89. Bob, please don't give Kenny the idol. Or if he does, I hope Sugar gives the idol to Bob.

    ReplyDelete
  90. play it up kenny!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Petals said... Kenny needs to put on some weight, or else Angelina & Brad will adopt him...

    Petals, I am spitting!

    ReplyDelete
  92. Bob. you just saved your own butt.

    ReplyDelete
  93. here we go! let's see who flips

    ReplyDelete
  94. Love Randy's attention-seeking Mohawk, NOT!

    ReplyDelete
  95. YES!!!!!!! GO SUGAR!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Kenny and Crystal not such smarty-pants after all! HAHAHAHAHA!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Well Kenny -- maybe Sugar is the master of the camp

    ReplyDelete
  98. kenny saved his butt again!

    ReplyDelete
  99. FINALLY she's gone.. BUh-bye, Crystal!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Good. Bob did NOT break his word. He knew that Kenny would not be voted out.

WOW! Sugar pulled a good one. Now Crystal has been blindsided. Bye, bye Crystal.

Kenny will be next if he doesn't win immunity on Sunday.

Bob has a good chance to win. I do hope so. He is a really nice guy.

    ReplyDelete
  101. THat was nicew of Chrystal to blow a kiss. A good sport, an Olympian.

THat was my person in the pool, so I can now freely ROOT FOR BOB!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Susie is so far under the radar, she's practically invisible. Oh, I don't want her to win either!

Goodbye, Chrystal! (Sorry, Sydney and who else?)

    ReplyDelete
  103. Beautifully played. Well done.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Well, the idol didn't really matter, but Sugar now has Matty on her side.

    ReplyDelete
  105. OMG I cannot believe she is gone, I thought for sure it would be SusieQ...lol....I am just glad it is not Matty....

    I can't wait till 9 my time...

    Thanks to all

    ReplyDelete
  106. I'll bet Chyrstal ate a fudge-ton of food; maybe now Kenny can have her share and pad his bones a lil.

Suzie & Mattie could wash their dirty shirts on Kenny's back!

    ReplyDelete
  107. Sugar was actually the mastermind of that one. Good girl, Sugar!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Just love that Crystal was back-doored. Now what was Crystal saying about Karma?

    ReplyDelete
  109. Wait, what?? We have 5 people left for finale night?

    What does that mean?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Maybe a little more game-play on finale night, and a little less flashbacks and reminiscing. Works for me!

    ReplyDelete
  111. WOW! Finales of Survivor and Dexter on Sunday night!

    ReplyDelete
  112. The finale will probably have one voted off in the first hour then down to final 4. They'll vote off the final jury member in the second hour and on to final tribal council. That's my guess???

    ReplyDelete
  113. It will be real sad after Sunday! No AR or Survivor for us to meet up for, what will we do?

    ReplyDelete
  114. Sugar has redeemed herself in my eyes. I do wonder why she chose to evict Crystal over Kenny since it is obvoius that Crystal is so inept at every challenge.

I really really really hope that Bob wins it all.
I am assuming that Sunday night will be a 2 hour finale.

    ReplyDelete
  115. For one thing, we can start the countdown to February.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Yeah, the two hour finale and then the winner announced at the reunion show. Can't wait!

    ReplyDelete
  117. YES!!! now hoping Kenny goes next!

    ReplyDelete
  118. For a brief time, I was confused as to what Corinne was so happy/pumping her fist about. Then it came to me, she thinks that Bob was the mastermind of blindsiding Crystal. Sorry, Oh-Bitter-One but your good pal, Sugar, was the mastermind of not only that blindside but also the one that took out Randy.

Sorry, but Sugar HAS outwitted and outplayed them all, thus far.

Anyone else notice that Sugar, to the best of my knowledge, has never exactly revealed what her plan(s) actually is (are)? She just tells them to trust her and it will work out and so far, it has.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Watching the replay of the immunity challenge, I couldn't help but think this. What if the Ponderosa jury could see a video of the challenges the way BB does it? Crystal off the course and Susie turning in circles trying to find the course. Yikes!

It was the funniest moment this season.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Petals you really do crack me up. The comment about Brad and Angelina adopting Kenny was a classic!

Well, Crystal was my gal in the pool but I'm happy to read that she is OUT. She's done nothing to impress me in a positive way.

I'm looking forward to watching the show tonight, knowing she leaves in the end.

I'd love to see Bob or Sugar take the whole thing. That would be so much better than Suzie or Kenny get it!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Great blindside! I must say that Ms. Sugar has manipulated some big moves in this game, and none of them seem to be aware. :)

Looking forward to a great finale next week. I am personally hoping for Bob and Sugar to take both the prizes for this season.

And, ladies, those cocktails looked AMAZING!

    ReplyDelete
  122. PETALS: They also have a "Lamp" stocking at WalMart. Almost bought one the other day.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Orkmommy! Our boy Bob survived to see another day! I hope Bob & Sugar make it to the end. Don't care one way or the other about Matty. He's okay, I guess. Kenny got too cocky - he'll go. Susie hasn't done much. The only reason she's still there is they all think they can beat her in the end- unless they are building a fire.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I watched my tape of Survivor over again. I miss so much the first time around. Have to appreciate Sugar's gameplay, especially because when the season started, I really thought her to be just another ditzy blond. When Sugar talks, they'd better listen.

Guess old "mastermind" Kenny really got put in his place last night and Crystal has been mostly useless throughout the season. I am relieved that she is finally out of there.

I'm still rooting for the "good guys" and hope that Kenny and Susie are gone after the two hour finale.

    My wv is wooers.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Just watched Crystal's Ponderosa tapes. The jury members are giving her the silent treatment. Charlie is the only one who doesn't feel good about it and I don't think it will last, but it's kind of cool at the moment.

Crystal's reaction? "Nobody here likes me. I don't give a damn."

She believes she played a great game. Another delusional personality in reality TV!

Look at how big her feet are when she's weighed on the scale.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I felt Sugar was underated from the beginning, she is 1 smart cookie.

That being said I hope it comes down
to Sugar and Bob with Bob winning.
I believe Sugar turned on enough of
    the jurors to not win.

    Go Bob

    ReplyDelete
  127. One of the best episodes of Survivor ever. Wow, you really had to pay attention. I hope Bob wins. I think it was smart to vote Crystal out because Bob got to keep his word and Kenny must be panicking for real now that he realizes he is not the mastermind of the game.

If the unfortunate scenario occurs that Kenny, Susie and Sugar are the final three, who would the jury vote for?
    Amy

    ReplyDelete
  128. I also think this is more than a game to Bob. He has an appreciation for the land and the experience more than the rest or so it seems.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I can see Bob getting a new career after Survivor. I know he already has a career, and probably isn't interested in a new one, but he is the only one I can see who might get some good job offers afterwards. He is good at explaining things, the audience follows what he says, it has been said here before (sorry I can't remember which of you said it) McGyver meets Mr. Wizard.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I just had to re-read all the comments of last night....I adore Sugar and Bob but also Matty.
Petals you give the best quick witted one liners and I LMAO at the Brad/Angelina comments about Kenny....you must write for comedians --you do dont you?
I think sugar looked around and decided Bob was a good guy and deserves to be there...she is right and I hope its her and him at the end....both of them have careers after this I am positive

    ReplyDelete
  131. That was the best tribal council EVER!!!! I wanted Crystal gone from the first week, but having to wait until last night and having it done that way made having to watch her the whole season totally worth it!

So, as much as I hate to say it for Sydney, Laurie & Becky...The tribe has spoken and you guys are going to Ponderosa with Crystal!

    Until next week...

Bob Crowley - ORKMommy & Jennasmom
Sugar Kiper - Petals & Gayle
Ken Hoang - TXrednekgirl & Clementine
Matty Whitmore - RJM in SC & EileenM
Susie Smith - Nana in the NW

Crystal Cox Sydney, Laurie & Becky
Corinne Kaplan - Margo & Caroline – NJ
    Randy Bailey - tbc
Charlie Herschel - Jackie & Katie in Chi
Marcus Lehman - Meb & Sue
Dan Kay - Joy N & Terry in CA
Ace Gordon - Rbennie & Nancy in NJ
Kelly Czarnecki - Lucy & Albglinka
Danny "GC" Brown - Pdx Granny & Monty924
Jacquie Berg - Delee & Zoetawny
    Paloma Soto-Castillo - Tessa
    Michelle Chase - lynn1 & Barbwire
Gillian Larson - Lars Eller & Donna in AL

    ReplyDelete
  132. This has been a good season of Survivor.

Laurie, I share your uninspired feelings about our gal Chrystal. I actually was impressed with her ending commments. She is a true good sport. No bitterness losing so close to the end.

JoyN -- I will be sad to see Dexter end again. But I could start watching my boxed sets of Ugly Betty, which I miss when Survivor is on at the same time. And I never got to catch Mad Men Season 2, though the boxed set it not yet out, because our cable is wonky on the A&E channel and I can't figure out our on DEmand since Comcast took over for TIme Warner.

That said, I think we'll come up with TOPICS to talk about in the interim, waiting for new shows to start... but when do they start? No tin January me thinks.

Rescue Me on FX will finally start back up in March, a back to back season.

The actors union is about to go on strike as they want the same rights as the writers wanted for online residuals, etc... SO that may be a factor in 2009

    ReplyDelete
  133. I watched Crystal arrive at the Ponderosa and Corriene saying "We won't act like a bunch of 5 year olds when she gets here". Well, the "silent treatment" sounds pretty immature to me. I wouldn't expect them to be buddy-buddy, but being polite is plain old good manners. Wait a minute.... oh, we are talking Randy and Corrine here. Never mind. Those two have no class, so what was I thinking?

    ReplyDelete
  134. I want Bob to win, but I have to say that all the good moves were masterminded by Sugar. Almost everyone who is on the jury and some prior to were as a result of how Sugar voted as the deciding vote, or how she maneuvered the others to vote the way she wanted. She is one smart lady.

You could tell she had more smarts than she showed whenever she would confront Corinne. She was sharp in how she handled her.

My wv is regis and kelly... well maybe not... but it is regis.

OK... didn't go thru, now wv is triptedu .

    ReplyDelete
  135. I think I'm more impressed with Sugar than any other female player in the game. She's playing a relatively clean game, not compromising who she is, she's very classy, smart as a whip, can manipulate without being bitchy & she's not afraid of pissing people off! As much as I'd love to see Bob win, Sugar has played the best game...especially considering she hasn't won a challenge yet, she's held her team back from winning challenges & she spent most of the first half of the game at Exile Island!

    ReplyDelete
  136. I didn't watch the first season of Mad Men and only started watching it just before Season Two began because Sydney said it was good. After Season One, Ep One, I was hooked. I watched all of Season Two one a week on Sunday night on AMC. But...Sydney and any others who might watch, I thought Season Two goes down better if you see the season as a whole, instead of weekly installments. If that makes any sense.

I know Mad Men is off topic, but it is continuing our earlier off topic, which almost makes it a topic.

I like Sugar and Bob and I think the promos from the last few weeks are setting it up for Corrine to go off on Sugar. Just my imagination. But, if that happens it would mean Sugar was in the finals.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Obviously I would like it if Matty wins (I have him in the pool), but I'll be happy if Sugar or Bob pulls it off. Good Luck on Sunday RJM in SC, our boy just might win this.
    EileenM

    ReplyDelete
  138. I also started to watch Mad Men based on Sydney's recommendation, and love it!

Sizzie, I completely agree that many of the series are best watched one after another. I fell in love with both Sex and The City and Ugly Betty that way. SATC was highly recommended, and I bought the first season, watched every episode back to back and immediately signed up for HBO. lol

I found an Ugly Betty marathon on TV following the first season, and watched it straight through. Now I use my DVR or watch it online due to the conflict with Survivor.

Completely OFF topic, but what does everyone think about Jay Leno's plan for the new show at 10pm starting next year?? I will not be watching, as I am a devout David Letterman fan, and don't watch Jay now (no matter the time of the show). Do you think this format can work at 10pm five nights per week? Who will watch??

    ReplyDelete
  139. Personally, I think they're setting Leno up to fall. As it stands right now, he's going to be up against some very heavy hitters for that time slot (9pm in my area).

Monday - CSI: Miami on CBS
Tuesday - Without a Trace on CBS & Eli Stone on ABC
Wednesday - CSI: New York on CBS & Dirty Sexy Money on ABC
Thursday - Eleventh Hour on CBS & (starting next week) Private Practice on ABC
Friday - Numbers on CBS & 20/20 on ABC

The way I see it, the only night they have a chance is on Friday!

    ReplyDelete
  140. Eli Stone and Dirty Sext Money are both cancelled. So they will be done in January I believe.

I won't be watching Jay anyway.
I tivo shows and watch them when I have time. I rarely watch live anymore. My tivo can tape 2 shows while I watch a recorded show so it's usually not a problem with conflicts.

    Yes we can all agree
"My name is Margo and I'm a TV addict."

    Margo

    ReplyDelete
  141. I like Bob, he is a good combination of brains and heart. I think he is a good looking man, too. But the more weight he loses, the more I am reminded of A. Lincoln. Does anyone else see this?

    ReplyDelete
  142. I think Jay on five night's a week at that time is just way too much I don't see it lasting. I would rather watch the Law&Order's at 10.Life is pretty good too. Remember the news at 11 then Conan and then jimmy it's just too much there's alot more on cable at that time RescueMe,Damages,MadMen,TheCloser,Dexter,TheBrotherhood,BigLove to name a few of my favorites and much more. The Variety show with Rosie failed. I like Jay but this is going to turn into 3 hours a nite of sort of the same. I would rather watch Dave anyway. Here's to Sugar winnning I hope.

  144. Sydney - in three weeks it will be January. I'm catching up on my reading. All three CSI shows have seen better days. And Leno is just another hour whose time has come and gone.

  145. I finally got to watch this episode on my DVR since I wasn't home last night. All the scheming and strategizing made it a great episode. ITA with Jackie, it couldn't have gone any better.

I've wanted to see Chrystal go for a while now. Her physical performance for an Olympic winner was disappointing and her personality didn't compensate for it. Although I have to give her credit for her parting words...not what I expected from her.

Bob is amazing and has played with all he's got, not to mention trying to keep his integrity intact. That's not easy to do in this type of game. I appreciate how much he's taking in and enjoying his experience in Africa. He's not there just for the money but for the adventure of his life. I would be thrilled if he wins it all.

Sugar has surprised me in a good way from the beginning. I didn't plan on liking her. After all, how good could a pin-up model be in a game like Survivor? ;) She has really held her own. I'd be happy if she won.

Kenny played a good "rat" and lasted longer than I expected. He certainly let his sneaky manipulations go to his head. I think he got knocked down a peg or two by Bob at tribal...loved it.

On to Suzie, now who is she? She should get a prize for playing the best under the radar role. She doesn't offend me even though she is a bit wacky. How the heck did she stay so long?

I'm not sure why I've cooled my opinion of Matty. I really liked him in the beginning and thought he would be more of a leader than he's proven to be. Maybe it was his unfortunate fate to get stuck on a losing tribe. But, I think Matty is evidence that it takes much more than physical strength and ability to win this game.

Did you notice Corinne's antics on the jury? I wanted to grab her arm every time she made that "yesssssssssss" gesture. Did she think she was still orchestrating the game? Sorry, just don't like her.

I'm probably not going to be home in time to watch the first hour of the finale Sunday, but I will DVR it. This time I'm not going to peek on the blog before the show airs here...well, maybe.

I haven't read all your previous posts yet but hope all is good with everyone.

    Ciao!
