Survivor Gabon Finale Post

jackie's tv blog, survivor

This is it! It's the big three-hour finale and reunion show! Zoetawny has made us a new season finale graphic to lend to the party atmosphere. Alas, football has delayed the show here, but I will update this post with the major updates. My full review will be up on TV Squad later tonight or early tomorrow morning. Please join in down in the comments area -- that's where the real party is!

I'm expecting the show to start about 8:30 ET here. Sigh.

And ... it's ON! 8:30 PM ET start time here in the NYC area.

BOB WINS IMMUNITY AGAIN!

Kenny was blindsided. What comes around goes around, eh? Bye-bye Kenny.

Memory walk time. Corinne likes not being nice and Randy found out he can make friends.

Yikes ... Susie won the final immunity challenge. There goes my night!

It's a tie between Bob and Matty being voted out, onto a firemaking challenge. Bob has been practicing.

Bob wins the tiebreaker! Matty is out of it and the final three are Bob, Sugar, and Susie.

BOB WINS SURVIVOR GABON! Sugar got no votes, Bob 4, Susie 3.

BOB also won the 100 grand from the viewers. Sugar was #2, Matty #3.

  1. Glad I checked back b4 830E.

Just watched Ponderosa and Crystal being there.

  2. GO SUGAR (and Bob, too!)

    ReplyDelete
  3. Very cool graphic. Zoetawny! Love the colors.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Bob, Sugar and Matty for final three! Man, I hope Bob pulls this out somehow.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Team Kenny!

    Win it all!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Im rooting for Bob,Sugar and Matty they have all worked very hard to get where they are....good people too.
I cant believe it will be over!
I was watching Crystal get that massage, looked like a nice reward for getting the boot!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Zoetawny, great graphic. Okay, I am here wearing my bow tie, with a basket of tamales and my Margarita machine. Anyone want some? If yest to the Margarita, on the rocks or frozen?

    ReplyDelete
  8. On the rocks for me and pass the tamales, please!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Frozen, no salt here. Oh, I have limes... *tossing limes to Becky*

    ReplyDelete
  10. Becky, I'll take mine frozen, por favor!

I brought my super deluxe brownies - with or without nuts! Got an extra batch in the oven, if we get a big crowd.

    ReplyDelete
  11. brownies & margaritas - NOW it's a party!

ANYONE BUY SUZIE! She seems like a non-entity. I don't consider flying low to be "out-witting, out-playing, etc"

(sorry to anyone who has her in the draw, but...)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Clementine, they aren't those "funny" brownies, are they?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Petals said...brownies & margaritas - NOW it's a party!...ANYONE BUY SUZIE! She seems like a non-entity. I don't consider flying low to be "out-witting, out-playing, etc" (sorry to anyone who has her in the draw, but...)

I agree, that with brownies and Margarita's, it's party time!

I think I have Susie. But I am pulling for Bob. Thus the bow tie.

    ReplyDelete
  14. No funny brownies, just straight-up chocolate with icing.

Kenny, really? You believe Sugar? Sheesh.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Some mastermind you are, Kenny.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ah, chocolate, my biggest weakness.

    ReplyDelete
  17. ROFLMAO!!! Jeff said Bob looked like one of the Village People.

    ReplyDelete
  18. That's an awesome maze!

The lack of nutrition really taking it's toll - you can see them struggling with energy levels.

    Bob rocks.

    "Where's Suzie?" LOL

    ReplyDelete
  19. WTG, Bob!!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Is' hard not to root for bob.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Bob, you are amazing! AARP should make you their spokesman, no joke!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thanks for starting the update I am on teh west coast in oregon watching it snow hard here.. PDXgranny has alot more snow than me i tell ya
Zoetawny love the finale graphic will keep checking back
    GO SUGAR and BOB!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Winter storm here. Ice. Lovely.

I hate that this is our last Survivor party. We have to make it good.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Susie didn't earn her place today...it oughtta be a "gimme" that she'd go.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I really want Sugar and Bob to be in the final three. How cool would it be if Bob won!

I'm on the West Coast too. I don't know how anyone could survive in snow. I'm freezing in So. Cal! I'm only going to read until the final three, then I will watch it live to see who the winner is.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Now where did Kenny leave his brains?

I'd rather see Suzie go first. At least Kenny strategized along the way.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Why do I have this feeling that Sugar is in trouble here. If Matty turns on her, she may be going. Hope I'm wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Petals not only is it snowing here in salem its only 27° and suppose to be18 over night thinking its gonna be a slick one in the morning. So lets just party to the finale lol

    ReplyDelete
  29. Can you imagine the watch party in Bob's hometown, with all his students & stuff? wow. Fun.

Uh, Kenny? Bob is five times the man you are, baby, indoors or out.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Marcus looks like some 80s tv star - who am I thinking of? I can't think of the name.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Mastermind Kenny. I'm laughing my head off.

    ReplyDelete
  32. oh no! clemintine and I are out of the pool!

    ReplyDelete
  33. ok. He played better than Susie, so that does suck, but..

    ReplyDelete
  34. The jury is enjoying themselves over the discussion.

SNAP!!! The mouse trap just snapped on Kenny, AKA The Little Rat. He played a good game.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh, well, Txrednekgirl! We had a good run. Kenny's brains leaked out of his head at some point. Actually, I think his social game took him out, because he wasn't good reading people, so his ego took over.

    Go Bob!

    ReplyDelete
  36. The mastermind has left the building! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. So the next challenge will most likely be one of those endurance things, like balancing on a pole on one foot or something. Bob is good at that, Sugar not so much.

    Sticking with my mantra:
    GO SUGAR, then BOB!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. isn't it usually just the final two doing the memory thing?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ditto, here, Sugar! Pbbbtttt!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yes, Happy Finale... I'm watching a half an hour behind so I will comment at the very end of tonight. I peeked and saw that Bob won immunity and Kenny is gone though. WooHoo!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hmm... pass the Triscuits, this is kinda cheesey!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Petals said... isn't it usually just the final two doing the memory thing?

Petals said...Hmm... pass the Triscuits, this is kinda cheesey!

I think they have done it with the final two, but also with the final three. Can't remember if the final four ever went on the walk.

Do you crack your family and friends up all the time too?

    ReplyDelete
  43. IF Bob is in the final 3, he automatically (so to speak) already has the 4 votes : Marcus, Charlie, Randy and Corrinne.

Foolish "strategy" to WANT to take Bob to the finals, IMO.

Oh, and I am going to predict that Randy and/or Corinne makes the questioning of the final 3, all about them. (meaning Randy and/or Corinne) @@

    ReplyDelete
  44. Becky - I can usually be counted-on for some comic relief. My brother is the real comedian, tho.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Susie won immunity. What a disappointment.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Shock-o-rama.
This may not be soo sweet for my Miss Sugar. It may be her tonight, darn it!
    I need another margarita. whhhaaaah

    ReplyDelete
  47. No not Susie, dang where wasw Bob's physics in this?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Matty did well in this. I am surprised that Bob did not do better.

Susie pulled it out. This is twice she has done it when she needed it most.

I am sure they know that Bob would be the biggest threat.

    ReplyDelete
  49. cheesy pofs are ready - get them while they are hot
    margo

    ReplyDelete
  50. Susie and Matty will band together on this one. Bob or Sugar are in trouble, I think.

    ReplyDelete

Anonymous I think you are right on the mark. I am afraid Bob will be going home.

Petals, here's another drink. Have a tamale too.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Bob is the one most likely to win if he stays. Susie will make Matty very aware of this. And that will break Sugar's heart.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Sugar even knows it has to be.

    ReplyDelete
  54. ug. why did susie have to win? hate to say it but matt will have to go tonight. bob most of all deserves to be in the final two.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Susie, get over yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Wow - Bob defended he & Sugar...

Susie is shooting her mouth off from her SAFE seat, isn't she?

    ReplyDelete
  57. wait a minute. is susie right? she picks who will be in the final two? she really thinks she played a good game? is she kidding? what a joke. she played the worse. -jeannemarie

    ReplyDelete
  58. Sweet love in this group, man... It's like about 7 seasons ago when it was a love fest at the end, like a tropical version of "Hair" or something...

    ReplyDelete
  59. Susie is the least deserving of winning. It'll be massively disappointing if she wins this.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Mmm, yummy cheesy-poofs! Thanks, Margo.

Great, here come the Sugar waterworks.

    ReplyDelete
  61. So much honesty. Refreshing and disconcerting and sad at the same time.
    pass the tissues!

    ReplyDelete
  62. This is so funny, in a way..it's like Swiss Family Robinson with Sugar, Bob & Matt, then there's Susie...like the maid sitting there or something...

    ReplyDelete
  63. this was a good way to decide this one.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Clem - You're right about Marcus. I can't place exactly who it is he resembles. More like an amalgam of every night-time soap hunk.

    ReplyDelete
  65. THANK YOU! Sugar!

    GO BOB!

    BOB WON!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Two of those final three are the true most deserving.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Susie did not deserve to be in the final three. I don't think she will not get any votes.

Bob was smart to practice fire making. I think he will win it. I hope he wins it. I think he is well liked by everyone.

Sugar deserves the "player" award if there is one. She really surprised me.

    Corrine is such a witch!

    ReplyDelete
  68. I doubt Susie could win against either Sugar or Bob, so who will she take?

    ReplyDelete
  69. I wish Matty could have stayed and Susie had gone. But since one of the guys had to go, I'm glad Bob's still there.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Susie did not deserve to be in the final three. I don't think she will not get any votes.

Okay, no more Margaritas. I mean't to say she won't get any votes.

Jackie, please make sure I am in a cab for the ride home. I don't need a DUI.

    ReplyDelete
  71. i thought when it got down to the final three there was one last challenge and the winner of that picked who went to the jury with them.

when did it become three going to the jury? -jeannemarie

    ReplyDelete
  72. Ugghhh . . . .now we have to suffer (okay, I have to suffer) thru the jury questioning when we all know that Bob is a slam dunk to win.

Sugar, you no longer deserve to win. :( I know that money isn't everything and you have now made it blatantly obvious that you have no interest in the $1 mil.

Also, thanks so much for taking the drama out of the finale. Plus the supreme satisfaction of having to watch Randy and Corinne agonize between you, Matty and Susie. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  73. Will there be one more tribal council, or will the vote be amongst the final three?

They've done both 2 and 3 person final votes in the past.

    ReplyDelete
  74. They have had three before.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Haven't they announced it yet. I'm on the west coast and dying to know???

    ReplyDelete
  76. Do we really need 30 mins of tribal council? I hope they don't say anything nasty to Bob.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Randy is such a crybaby and Kenny is so full of himself.

    ReplyDelete
  78. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Bob and Sugar have to both realize it would be a slam-dunk for either of them with Susie in the final 2.

What does that lying little rat, Kenny, know about honor?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Anon- we're running 30 mins behind due to football

    ReplyDelete
  81. Geesh, Corinne, get over it. You wanna get in your last bitch-digs? Quit already, your act is played!

    ReplyDelete
  82. At least 1/2 hr till they tell us, tribal council (Q & A) soming up.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I bet Corrine votes for herself LOL

    ReplyDelete
  84. susie is not 'confident.' she is SMUG and gave no reason why she should win. bob should win...

    ReplyDelete
  85. Oh, Petals, it's killing me trying to remember the name of the guy Marcus looks like. You're right, I think he was a soap star first, who then did a lot of primetime tv. Not a huge star, but in a lot of 80s tv.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Thanks for the heads up, Clementine!

I guess being on the west coast may have some advantages. Our shows are rarely delayed. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  87. I liked it better when only 2 went to the final tribal, ugh!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Delee said... I bet Corrine votes for herself LOL

Deelee, that needed a spit alert. She will tie with Randy who will vote for himself. After all, he dislikes all three of the last Survivors.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Your welcome for that spit, Becky and I agree about Randy.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Crystal calling the kettle black!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Jealousy's a bitch. But not as big a bitch as Corinne (or Charlie!)

    ReplyDelete
  92. And how many people did you backstab, Kenny?

    ReplyDelete
  93. Of course, Kenny doesn't want to hear the truth from Bob!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Corinne is a sick bitch!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Loved the finger to Corrine...yes Sugar

    ReplyDelete
  96. How appropriate that RAG Corinne wore green.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I'm liking Marcus less after that speech.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I would say Marcus looks like a young Matthew McConaghy?

    ReplyDelete
  99. Clem, I can't place Marcus....maybe Parker Stevenson? Or Ted McGinley-ish?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Randy! Once a jerk, always a jerk.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Sugar is very honest! Randy is a jerk!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Love, love u Sugar! Not sucking up to the jury one bit.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Geesh, anyone but Susie...

    ReplyDelete
  104. Kenny is very immature.

So, he's bitter at Sugar and Bob (for ridiculous reasons). Will he vote for Suzie?

Corinne wants fame for being the ultimate Survivor bee-otch, methinks. (Not to mention that it comes naturally to her).

Marcus somewhat more unpleasant than I would have expected.

Oh, geez, Randy. Obviously expecting them to kiss up to him, and it's not happening.

Will some of these bitter idiots vote for Suzie?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Okay, Corrine was a bit**, but we knew that. Randy was a bit**, we expect that. But Marcus and Matty? They sound petty. Oh, I missed Charlie's speach, so don't know what he said. Could someone clue me in, please.

    ReplyDelete
  106. We'll know in a few minutes! GO BOB! Or Sugar.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I think Matty had a huge wedding and honeymoon all planned for when he won and is just plain pissed that will not happen now.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Corinne is gonna spit nails when she discovers that Sugar is a successful TV actress & model.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Hope it's Bob we'll be seeing on the Early Show tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I'm so happy Bob and Sugar in the final three. I'm shocked to read that Susie is there too, but hopefully Bob or Sugar takes the million. It would be awesome to see Bob take first, Sugar second, then Susie!

I am going to force myself not to read any more updates, so I will be surprised when I watch here on the West Coast.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Think the winner is also on Regis and Kelly. Monday-too.

    ReplyDelete
  112. augh...it's time...who won???

    ReplyDelete
  113. NO!!!!! No votes for Susie!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Jeff had some work done. He needed it.

    ReplyDelete
  115. And the winner is...as Jeff rides an elephant to NYC....

    ReplyDelete
  116. Randy, was his sweet self to the end. Would you think that idiot has issues? What an unhappy person.

    ReplyDelete
  117. OMG, it looks like Bob may get the million. These folks just got out played by Sugar & didn' like it.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Can not believe Sugar did not get one vote.

    ReplyDelete
  119. It's BOB! yesyesyesyesyesyes!

    ReplyDelete
  120. I can't believe that Sugar didn't get any votes! YEAH, Bob!!! Our group favorite won.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I can't believe Sugar didn't get a vote, either. Or that Susie got three! A lot of sour grapes on that jury!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Corinne, Randy and Matty have to be the three votes.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Egads! Congrats Gabon jury, you will go down as the dumbest jury in the history (to date) of Survivor.

I have NO problem whatsoever with Bob winning, that is NOT what makes them @$$hats. The fact that 3 of those morons voted for Susie over Sugar?!!!? :::t h u d::: boggles the mind.

    Seriously? 3 votes for Susie???

    ReplyDelete
  124. Did you notice the sound cut out for a moment right after the announcement? That was Randy yelling "Kiss my a&&!"

    ReplyDelete
  125. how do we know who voted for whom?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Silk, I noticed it, but CBS muted a bit too late.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Corinne had no right to speak of Sugar's late father. That was so not even called for.

    ReplyDelete
  128. anon - sometimes Jeff asks them who they voted for, and sometimes not

    Very frustrating!

    He hasn't asked yet.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Same as with AR and driving a manual tranny. Learn to make fire.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Randy is miserable. How can he do wedding videos? He is just plain old nasty.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Sugar saved Matty's butt once with idol and gave him an even shot to stay in with the tie. He could have given her a vote.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Sugar looks beautiful. Let's see Corinne's face as Jeff talks about how popular Sugar is, please.

Oh, don't even talk about Corinne. It just feeds her ego.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Someone wrote that Sugar is a successful actress. Is that true? And i hope that Sugar doesnt accept her apology if corinne does apologize.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Of course Corrine doesn't regret what she said! Get real.

Who was the previous B Queen who was in Australia? Corrine will soon be as forgetable.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I can't imagine Corrine regretting a thing, no matter what she says. She's a horrible human being.

    ReplyDelete
  136. joy n said... I can't imagine Corrine regretting a thing, no matter what she says. She's a horrible human being.

I agree with you Joy. It must be sad to be so unhappy. Randy and Corrine are pathetic.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Clementine, I do agree, the more you talk about Corinne, the more Corinne loves herself and Jeff will just keep feeding her ego.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Hate Jeff at times but he is giving it to Corinne!!!!

    She is actually speechless.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Corinne is a meglomaniac. (sp?)

    ReplyDelete
  140. Randy is so trying not to laugh. He knows he is a jerk. Had girlfriends! Loved that.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Please, please, don't give Corinne any more fame for her nastiness.

So funny about Randy being a wedding videographer - I never thought of that!

Can you imagine him "celebrating" a wedding on film? LOL

Randy really does have a sad life, whether he will admit it or not.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Hope Sugar wins the hundred thousand!

    ReplyDelete
  143. Sugar will win the $100,000.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I hope Sugar gets the $100,000.00 Sprint prize or Kenny.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Randy was actually making me laugh during his interview.

    ReplyDelete
  146. He was pretty funny and Jackie they are going to speak of Ace's "accent".

    ReplyDelete
  147. I think the Susie votes came from Crystal, Kenny and Matty. JMHO

    ReplyDelete
  148. Crystal sucked at Survivor, period.

    FLOATER!

    ReplyDelete
  149. Jackie said... Randy was actually making me laugh during his interview.

I was laughing too, Jackie. But I think under that veneer is a very unhappy person.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Kenny's hair looks terrible like that.

    ReplyDelete
  151. At least he knows his cockiness helped do him in.

    ReplyDelete
  152. hate to say this but susie looks very different. she actually looks good. Nothing at all like the first day on survivor. Hope sugar wins the $100,000. -jeannemarie

    ReplyDelete
  153. Ace did a pretty good American accent about half the time that he was there!

    ReplyDelete
  154. Anon 11:09 - I think the Susie votes were Kenny, Matty, and Crystal, too.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I so hope Sugar won the $100 and they can show a shot of Corinne the mouth when she gets it!

    ReplyDelete
  156. Bob won the votes for the $100,000, Sugar came in second, and Matty third.

Can't believe Matty got that many votes.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Boooooooooo . . . . America, you're the @$$hats now. Well, either you and/or CBS.

Bob should have been *disqualified* from the fan vote since he won the grand prize.

And yes, I would feel the same if Sugar had won the game and the fan prize.

    ReplyDelete
  158. what's with jeff's hair? -jeannemarie

    ReplyDelete
  159. Nice of Jeff to give everyone their 15 seconds, but I don't even remember most of these people.

I didn't think the Survivor winner was also eligible for the 100 grand, but I guess so.

    ReplyDelete
  160. I really wish Sugar could have won the Sprint money. I wonder if Corinne is surprised at Sugar's popularity.

    ReplyDelete
  161. I wish Sugar or Kenny had won the $100,000. I think Kenny's cockiness hurt him with the audience.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I'm watching the show now in California. I waited to look here until Bob won the first immunity. He is good, isn't he? Of course, now I know he wins and I'm thrilled about that. Anybody but Kenny and Suzie was my thought.

    Yes!!!

    ReplyDelete
  163. It was a great season. Night, all. My cab is waiting.

    ReplyDelete
  164. I forgot about Crystal. Yes. she would have been the other vote for Sugar, I guess. Although she spoke to her before the vote like she didn't think Susie deserved it.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Good season, everybody! See you in Brazil in February!

And we didn't get confirmation of who voted for who. Dang it.

    ReplyDelete
  166. i'm watching the end of the reunion show now and think part of randy is an act. -jeannemarie

    ReplyDelete
  167. crystal, kenny and corrine voted for susie.

    ReplyDelete
  168. They showed Matty's vote for Susie.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Am I too late fro Margs?

OY Petals, you were first and Sugar didn't even get a vote. Our curse continues! I would have voted for her. I was really surprised that this crowd didn't give her more kudos for excellent strategies, but maybe they didn't see them and we did.

Anon 9:59 --I'm with you. I was also amazed she didn't give a sharper opening speech about why she should win. It could be called Dumb or it could be nerves or it could be called character -- she would not brown nose to the jury.

I'm glad Bob won, but I was also surprised that he ratted out Sugar a few times. But he wanted the million and his answers reflected that. He gave the answers that the jury wanted to hear.

I too think Bob should have been excluded from that extra $$ having taken the million.

And really, I hope the mean girl gets over herself. SHE needs antidepressants. Maybe she and Randy will get some help (actually we know they think there's nothing wrong with THEM) so they won't continue to spew their damages out on others.

    ReplyDelete
  170. They showed Corinne voting for Bob and Matty voting for Susie. They said Randy was the pivotal vote. Randy, Charlie, Marcus, and Corinne were tight. So it had to be Crystal, Matty, and Kenny voting for Susie.

    ReplyDelete
  171. All in all, a fun season! I do not think the overall winner should be eligible for the 100K, so that was a disappointment.

I really, really wanted to see Sugar win some $$, as she handed Bob the win when she wrote down Matty's name and created the tie... Oh well.

Randy is full of it. His whole "mean guy" persona does not necessarily ring 100% true.

But I vote for Corinne as my least favorite, possibly of all time. She is just plain mean at heart, and proud of it. And there is no redeeming quality in that. I think anyone who has recently lost a parent or someone close to them would find her comments despicable. Including me...

  172. I feel sad that Sugar didn't win anything. She's so beautiful. I'm happy for Bob. I wonder if he has continued his father/daughter relationship with Sugar....

As for the witch Corinne, I think she's hiding underneath all of her nastiness. She seems like she's a miserable person and she's protecting herself with this act. Randy is also a piece of work.

I can't wait until Feb. for the next Survivor. My Thursdays are empty now.

  173. I too think Bob's win of the Sprint prize was wrong. Was it Big Brother that awarded a simular prize but qualified it... if the overall winner got the most votes the second highest vote won the "lesser" award?
No wonder Bob was so mute about it, I bet he probably thought it was wrong too!

  174. Hey, Orkmommy! We won! (Well, I guess Bob won - not really us.....) The Survivor Pool was fun! Hope we can do it again sometime! Wish we had thought of doing that during that horrible Big Brother last winter. At least that way I would have had someone to root for - whether I liked them or not.

I thought "oh no" when I got Bob in the pool. Figured I'd be out soon. But I soon grew to really like him. He really surprised me with his performance in the challenges. Glad to see one of us older people win!

I think Corrine wanted to outdo Sue Hawk from season one in the nasty speech department. We should feel sorry for her. To be that bitter, she must have had a miserable life.

But there is still something about old Randy I kind of like. He reminds me of a friend I have who tries to act like a jerk to put up a wall around himself, afraid of being hurt. But underneath it all, there is a big heart. Randy really loved his dog - he can't be all bad.

  175. I loved that Corinne had privately bitched to Jeff about not having more camera time. What a rag. And yes, she was probably trying to go down in history as the meanest survivor. I think she failed. She WAS and still IS JUST A WALLFLOWER.

  176. There was no car awarded this year (unless I missed it{?}). Guess the economy is really bad, but hey they are just sitting on the car lots.

I agree that a fan favorite $ should not go to the winner. BUT usually it is not the fan favorite who wins. This whole season was different from all the others. I can not put a finger on it, but thoroughly have not enjoyed a season this much.

    Hope Brazil is even better.

Barney's Christmas Adventure is posted now. Look forward to this each year.

  178. I haven't watched...can't see what I recorded until later today. I had to know, though. Thanks for the great comments, I looked around and found a few left over refreshments, not too bad for breakfast. I will look for the blipped words from Randy at the end...thanks for the heads up.

I think Marcus looks like the Dawson's Creek actor..only with a more streamlined head.

I never understood Susie from the first. She stated often she would be in final 3 and she was. Her votes, as I say I haven't watched yet so might change my mind, were negative votes by people who didn't want to vote for the Bob or Sugar. Sugar will do great from her time on Survivor, even without the biggest prize. She won confidence. Although, she might already have had it.

  179. Happy that Bob won... Everyone thought he was going to lose so voted him fan favorite so he'd get something.

Sugar was gorgeous last night, however, she looked like one of the silent screen actresses.

I hope Bob compensates her a little. Had it not been for her he would not have been in the final three...Matty was a given just as he thought he was. She changed the thinking of someone on almost every single tribal council. She outplayed and outwitted and even outlasted most of them. She really should have won. I love how she gave the finger to Corinne at tribal council when Corinne was going off on her...priceless, even tho they blocked it out.

OK...must now wait a couple of months for the next one. Oh my, how will we all survive?

Gotta go watch Dexter...and then chemo... talk when I return tonight after I work at the club.

    Later.

  180. I somehow missed Corinne's vote.

Just saw Bob on The Early Show getting his check. He plans to take his wife of 28 years on a honeymoon to GABON! They've never had a honeymoon. Bob is such a kind, modest man.

I am so disappointed that Sugar walked away with nothing. If these jurors had voted for "playing the game" alone and not based their choices on sour grapes, Sugar should have won. I don't begrudge Bob winning and I agree that the winner shouldn't be eligible to take the Sprint money, too. I imagine no one thought Bob would make it to the end which is why he got so many votes online.

Well, on to next season in February.

I did enjoy this season. Even more so after Crystal and Kenny were voted off. Thank goodness Susie didn't win a dime.

  181. Well things turned out almost the way I wanted. I wanted Bob to win and he did.

I have to agree with the concensus that Bob should not have been eligble to win fan favorite and be the Survivor winner too.

After seeing the jury's questions and comments at tribal and the reunion show I am convinced more than ever of manipulating the editing of the show to influence viewers opinions of the Survivors.
I did not see the behaviors in the final 3 that the jury talked about.

Apparently Sugar cried and grieved almost all of the time but we did not see that.

Randy has a sense of humor which we never saw.

Corrine is not just a mean girl. She is a mean girl who is emotionally void. Anyone who says being nice is not a good personality trait and is boring has a screw loose. She may think being mean gets her noticed but I believe she is a sociopath or at least has tendencies of one.

I thought the entire jury presented themselves as spoil sports and poor losers both at tribal and the reunion show. Maybe it was just the editing at tribal but the live reunion show made me feel that we did not see the true colors of everyone.

This was my favorite season of Survivors in many years. Congrats to Bob!

  182. Ponderosa has some new clips of Kenny and Matty.

Kenny didn't get the welcome reception he expected at Ponderosa and his ego is still not in check.

Corinne is still kvetching. She HATES Ponderosa. Is there anything or anyone she doesn't hate?

Matty got a better reception although Crystal and Kenny (and Randy to a lesser degree) all gave him the third degree about why he put their names down. Crystal said he was fake. When are these people going to realize IT WAS A GAME! They ALL put somebody's name down everytime they went to tribal. Sheesh! I guess the jury expected everyone would play the game not for themselves but for them alone. Get over it, sore losers!

Crystal seems to believe that Matty will be perceived badly by us because he voted her off. I wonder where Crystal came in for votes in the Sprint thing. We know Matty was third.

  183. We (husband and I) finally got to watch and we enjoyed it. There was enough suspense to keep us guessing and yet our people won at the end. (Bob and Sugar being our favs) If Bob had won the immunity Susie did, the whole end game might have played out differently (of course that is always true, isn't it?).

I think Sprint gave the money for good publicity and isn't getting so much good from it. their lawyer should have put in some small print exclusions.

I also noticed that several of the losers (aka the Jury) wanted someone to hand them the game and haven't yet got over it that no one wanted to. Bob worked to stay there and so did Sugar. I still am not sure how Susie got there, except that when she had to win an immunity she did. No one gave her an idol, fake or otherwise, to keep her in.

In other words, I like that workers got in and those looking for handouts didn't.

  184. I am watching a 2 hour 20/20 tonight on ABC. It is behind the scenes at a high school in Virgina as the students audition for a school musical. I listened to some of the audition tapes on ABC.com and those kids are amazing.

  185. Clementine and Petals - I think Marcus looks just like Travis Stork of The Bachelor and now on the daytime show The Doctors.
