Survivor Tocantins - "Mama Said There Would Be Days Like This" - Ep. 3

jackie's tv blog, survivor

Welcome one! Welcome all! While my more extensive show review will be posted later at TV Squad, this post will be updated with events and my thoughts as the show airs here on the East Coast. Everyone is invited to party in the comments -- just remember, if you make a mess in there, you have to clean it up.

Jalapao won reward -- comfy stuff. They chose Brendan to go to Exile again. He chose Taj again to accompany him. Tonight there is finally a separate immunity challenge.

Jalapao wins Immunity! Jerry is worried he'll be the target because he hasn't been feeling well.

Brendan found the hidden idol at his camp. Yay!

Jerry was indeed voted out.

  4. Hi Becky! Hi Jackie, Hi Monty,

  5. Whew, Coach was not a happy camper! I love the blindfold challenges.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Timbira really blew that rewards challenge. I wonder who Coach will blame?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Loved the reward challenge & that Timbira lost, the only player I like from ths team is Brendan.

  8. Hey, all. Glad to see you here.

Okay, Petals, they selected Debra to call out directions. She tried her best, but her team just couldn't get it together. I am afraid they will go after her because of it.

Did I say I dislike Coach? LOLOLOL

  9. He'll blame anyone besides himself. I'm wondering if this might be the night we get to see Tyson saying something about the 'old lady'.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Oh the principle should not take responsibility for that loss. Don't open yourself up for tribal council.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Coach is not getting a good edit tonight, LOL... Don't go off and talk about anyone and then BAM, he goes off and talks about everyone, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hey, if he was from Texas, instead of calling him co-coach, we could call him co-tex.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Okay, I like Taj. I think her outing the fact that she's the wife of a former NFL player though is going to hurt her.

    THAT needed a spit alert!

  15. Waaah ... American Idol --I peeked as the commercial was on CBS. My Megan! Ack.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I love it that she said I know I'm a sex kitten.

ANd I have tried switching over to AI during the commercials. I just can't seem to get into it yet.

    ReplyDelete
  17. that is a pretty long way to push those boxes.

    ReplyDelete
  18. It truly is no fun to watch one team only win all the time on Survivor.

    ReplyDelete
  19. darn I don't want to see -- is it Jerry? -- go. He is the one who is having the stomach problems. It could be a parasite or something more.. remember when they carted off that one man who ended up with a twisted intestine? Are the medics allowed to check on him and take tests, or does that only happen if he complains? If it's up to him to go to the medics, I bet he would wait waaay too long.

  20. I agree Sydney, but at least this time I like the winning team. I want Taj to go a long way if not win it. :)

  21. I'm taping AI while I watch Survivor. Erinn's on Coach's radar. Will it be Erinn?

    ReplyDelete
  22. I hope it isn't Jerry... he was one of my pre-season picks.

    ReplyDelete
  23. YES, YES, YES... the II is found!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Coach is really a drama queen! Why oh why are the listening him.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Tyson's going to give us some really good one liners this season.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Who is that little twerp, the co-tex? Oh, and Coach wants to be the leader! What a jerk.

    ReplyDelete
  27. She is snarky, and answering smart. Or Smart allecky-

    ReplyDelete
  28. boo hoo, I hope Jerry doesn't go home.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Coach would really be a good blindside!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Awww, coach and co-tex stay-free.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Maybe he's happy to get some medical treatment, a shower, food and a nice bed?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh if I could wipe that sinister smile off Erinn's face.

    ReplyDelete

    ROFLMAO! :)

  34. Class act exit comments for Jerry. Looks like next week will get steamy over on Jalapao (however you spell that, lol)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Watching my AI recording now... I hope Nick or Norman, or Nick or... gets the boot tonight. See you all later. :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Donna, you're killing me!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Donna you are hysterical!
I am so cracking up co-tex....now thats a word thats never on my shopping list....
Coach is my player and he peeves me, cant wait to watch tonight though!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Donna, you need to come over here and clean up the hot tea I spit our on my laptop and my lapcat!!

Terry, you have the coach? I'm so sorry cuz he is a loooozer of a guy! He give me the creeps. Good thing nothing is his fault.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Did I really hear Coach just say he is "true to himself" and that's why he can't be around people who aren't, but other people can because they socialize with them? Oh please, I can't wait for him to be blindsided. His co-tex can go, too! What a couple of jerks.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Does anyone else think Coach looks a bit like that crazy guy Shane that was on Survivor about 3 yrs back? Certain ways they show him, he has that crazed look in his eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Nobody has jumped out as a fav...:-( By now I usually have someone that I really like. I do have Joe in the virtual pool and I must say the more "rough" looking he gets the cuter he looks!!! I also hate seeing one team dominate the challenges.

Now that Brendan found his Idol do you think he will tell Taj where to look if he has a chance??

    ReplyDelete
  42. I think Timbira is already paying for voting Candace out. Imagine how much more help she would have been in these two challenges than say Debbie (who couldn't call directions for crap) or Erinn & Sierra (who had a hard time with those boxes).

I'm loving the secret alliance between Brendan & Taj. I really do hope he tells her that he found the idol and where to look. And it doesn't hurt that Taj is about to bring Stephen (my pool pick) into the secret alliance. I'm not quite as thrilled about Brendan bringing Sierra in, but I do anticipate she'll be loyal. She already trusted him when she was looking for a hidden idol, so hopefully their bond is real. This could turn out to be a very secretive strategy based season which could be lots of fun.

  43. Sorry I missed last night. I was watching AI thinking Survivor was taping but it didn't, so now I havae to go online to watch. I'm just glad Sierra didn't get voted out, so sorry to whoever had Jerry.

Man Boobs Jackie... reminds me of Tiger Woods caddie, who has commented about Phil Mickleson's man boobs. I'm anxious to see if when Tiger comes back from his surgery, if the guys is still his caddie. Has been for years, but that was so insulting for him to say something like that. I don't know if he apologized or not, but...

    ReplyDelete
  44. my loser coach! i'd vote him off myself!
    he is delusional!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I just watched this morning, and Coach needs to go! Looks like our girl Sydney gets some face time next week.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Good show last night. I was sorry to see my guy (Jerry) go, but he was really suffering and now that he's gone I'm free to hate that tribe, LOL. Coach is a real piece of work. He called Candace the "cancer" on the tribe, but I think he is the true "cancer". Brendan is the only one on that tribe that I like. The Jalapao tribe works so well together. I too like the Brendan/Taj alliance and hope he will share with her where to find the idol. Sorry we're out of it so soon Karen.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Did anyone else catch Coach's comment last night about the other tribe being so much dirtier than they were? What was that about?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Coach is such a hypocrite--have to be true to myself, Erinn is not, yet he voted out Jerry. Big ball of hot air. And he hasn't been outstanding on the challenges! I may not have a favorite yet, but I certainly have a least favorite.

  49. Coach seems to be a good example of the phrase "those that can't do, teach" LOL.

  50. Hey Jackie --

IS it possible that you could make up a post for us to Chat about the Bachelor? A few weeks back the comments were over 200 so it flipped over to the second page and now it's on a third, almost full. So many don't realize, as I once didn't, how to get to the newest pages that we have lost some commenters.

The finale is Monday, so I don't know if it would be possible to just put up a post for it and we can comment there like any of your other regular posts? It was just an idea of how to help people know we didn't stop commenting, but you may have a better solution.

  53. Coach, I think is anti-woman. Boo! Hiss!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I thought my guy Jerry would keep under the radar for a few weeks. Since he was not feeling well it was probably better that he left. Sorry too rbennie. I am out of both TAR and Survivor. My husband thinks that is funny. I dont very often comment because I am not very computer savvy too old I guess so if this doesnt make sense or is too hard to read like I was told one time by a blogger sorry.

    Karen

  55. I read you fine Karen. :) I was sorry to see Jerry go, too. I think he would have brought a lot to the game and I wanted to see if he would lead without appearing to lead.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Karen -- You're totally clear! I am so sorry you had Jerry and he had to leave. He was my favorite so far and I was rooting for him. DO you want to cheer with me on either show? I have the two stunt men on TAR and could use the camaraderie!

I've forgotten their names as I still haven't seen my tivo'd second ep from last week.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Karen, I've never had trouble understanding your posts! I'm out in both pools, too.

I was sorry Jerry got sick and got the boot. I liked him and thought he would go far. I sure hope he got whatever he needed to feel better!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Just watched the clip of juror's comments while they voted over on the CBS Survivor site. They hadn't shown Brendan's Thursday nite (that I saw). He also voted for Jerry.

Coach's vote read - Pimp Daddy Jerry and what looked like Sims (Jerry's last name) at the end.

    Coach is also uncouth.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Karen,
Feel free to join Sydney & I in rooting for the TAR stuntmen! Michael & Mark - I think that's their names.
I have Brendan in the Survivor pool, & you can help me root him on, too! And I have no trouble with your posts - you have my company in not being computer savvy! Can't teach this old dog new tricks! I've been following Jackie's blog for years & it took me until just a few months ago to learn how to post a comment! LOL

  60. Karen... I too am teamed up with sydney and jennasmom with the stunt men, so I welcome you also. For survivor, I'm teamed with Rozee for Sierra... feel free to tag along with us here as well.

And I thought your read was easy. I'm 71... never too old to comment.

  61. Thank you to meb, Jennasmom, Laurie , Sydney and Sizzie for your kind comments. Made me feel at ease to comment here. I have been reading Jackies blog for TAR and Survivor since the shows started and I love reading everyones comments. I will be glad to root for the other teams. Thanks again

    Karen
