Survivor Tocantins: The Dragon Slayer

jackie's tv blog, survivor

Welp, according to the promos, the merge is on tonight! The show has started here on the East Coast. While my full show review will be posted at TV Squad later tonight, I'll update this post with the major events as they air.

Of course, the real fun is in the comments! Join on in!

The merge has gone down and they're pigging out ... er, eating.

Tyson won the first individual immunity. Jeff is making Joe get his infected knee checked by medical.

No one will be voted out tonight -- Joe was evacuated due to his leg.

  1. Hey, hey, hey! Anyone here?

  2. Hi Becky! I'm here to get my preview of what I'll see in 3 hours.

  3. I'm here. I'm waiting for the beverage cart.

  4. Hey, hey! I've got loaded potato skins, sour cream on the side, and cold draft beer.

Who says Joe goes home tonight after using his fake idol? Because of his injury? or Joe stays?

    Bring on the fun. :)

  5. Hummm, the beer looks good. I bought some fresh popcorn.

If they merge, they will pick off the others.

  6. I brought the friendly bartender I met at a Las Vegas poker party the other night. He'll be fixing any drink you want and serve it with a friendly smile.

  7. Anything that starts with an "F", lol... good one Taj!

  8. Coach still turns my stomach. You would think that they would let them have some antibiotics.

Boy, my gal the principal skin looks horrible. She has too many sun spots.

  9. good evening everyone. hope you are having a lovely thursday. the weather is just so spring-like today.

so we get it straight from the start...IT'S ALL ABOUT ME FROM THIS POINT ON. (coach makes me gag!)

so now, he's a symphony conductor? what a whack job.

Big Brother is holding casting calls in my area. i just saw a little ticker tape thing at the bottom of my screen.

i can offer you all hot tea, but i think you guys like something a little harder!

  10. Hmm, I'll take some of that wine the castaways were drinking. Laurie, tell the bartender to slide me a glass of Shiraz, please.

Are they setting up a Coach redemption? I think so.

  11. LucyGrace, hot tea sounds really good to me! Thanks.

    Redemption of Coach? No way!

  12. I don't know... I think Erin is liking the "new" coach. Will we or won't we?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Glad they got the Timbera tree swing.... weeeeeeeee

  14. One thing I have never understood, Why do they drink at these meals. Being in the poor physical that they must in without having decent nourishment

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well, well, well, here Stephen goes lucking into yet another alliance. This one with Tyson and Coach... He's charmed or something. I don't get it?

    ReplyDelete
  16. is it just me, or does taj look the dirtiest...her clothes are just nasty. coach looks like he just stepped out for the evening. has he done a lick of work other than weather control?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Coach change? You can't turn a sows ear into silk. Leopards don't lose their spots. Nah, he is still Coach, the one we love to dislike just wearing a cleaner personality.

Was Brendon the one who made the deal with Taj? If so old Coach may get blindsided.

  18. LG, Coach is your classic do nothing leader. tell everyone else what to do and not get your own hands dirty. Not my kind of leader.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hey, Jackie, everytime I comment tonight I mean to ask you how you are feeling. Then I get carried away and forget until I send the message. How do you feel?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yes, Becky. Brendon and Taj are the head of the Exile Alliance. JT has ratted him out though.

    ReplyDelete
  21. No, no, no, Teach! Debra, you aren't very smart. Get a grip! The little twerp thinks almost as much of himself as Coach. He talks about what a sweet talker he is. Frankly, I think he looks sleazy.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Tyson has the right idea... stay crouched and low.

    ReplyDelete
  23. i thought guys were good about holding onto their pole?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I like Brendon. Damn! Sierra, please, please win. Drop JT, drop! Good!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Drop Tyson, drop!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh a little smack talking there toward the end. Tyson looked like a monkey up there on the pole. I thought Debbie had that one.

    ReplyDelete
  27. So Tyson's face is his money maker? You have to admit he delivers great one liners.... yes?

Well, he makes me laugh. :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Becky - I'm okay, my non-operated on (yet) knee is really bad. I've been working all kind of extra hours on my day job. So, I'm running tired a lot. Thanks for asking.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Tyson's face is his money maker? Okay, that needed a spit alert!

    ReplyDelete
  30. God, this is getting complicated but good. I'm so confused!

    ReplyDelete
  31. What??? No tribal council? Now all the plans go down the toilet, lol. Oh, this is good.

    ReplyDelete
  32. What??? No tribal council? Now all the plans go down the toilet, lol. Oh, this is good.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Coach: "Call me what you want?"
That man doesn't know what most of us want to call him.

I whooped when I heard TC was canceled.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm happy that Joe isn't risking his leg or his life for this game. That was sort of poignant at the end there. I'm glad my girl, Taj, told Jeff to tell Joe that they loved him.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I hope Brendon pulls Taj back on board. I liked Joe, but am glad that Brendon isn't going home for sure. And I don't even have his name.

    ReplyDelete
  36. See all of you Sunday.

    ReplyDelete
  37. For the westies, it was a great episode but it all led up to a let down in a way. Hope you all enjoy and see you later for TAR. Nite all!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hi! I'm a Westie!
I am brewing some tea in anticipation of my own survivor night.
Laurie, maybe we can watch it together, huh?
I've been watching old episodes I missed on youtube.
It was nice reading the comments!
Sorry the night didn't end right.

  39. Hi y'all! I decided to stop by for a bit of partying while waiting for the show to get started on the west coast. Laurie, do you still have the cute bartender handy? If so, have him fix me up with something. Anything. He can surprise me. I like surprises! : )

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well as usual, I missed the party. I can't watch and blog at the same time and I hadn't even watched Lost yet, so I watched it, then Criminal Minds and just finished Survivor. I love fast forwards through the commercials.

Happy no TC. Coach didn't get on my last nerve tonight like he usually does, but I was wondering when Brendan was going to say something to the other three. Finally he does somewhere between tonight and next week!

    Later guys.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hi Laurie and PDX Granny...our time is now! Any others? I've got easter eggs ready to go!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hi Nomad, I'm here and ready to watch the show!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Elaine, the bartender thought you would look good with a nice cosmopolitan in your hand!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Amazing how nice coach got after his time of yoga.
    he freaks me out.
Loving tyson, though. What a funny guy!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I don't trust Coach being nice.

Tyson? Ugh ... too arrogant for me.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Really, Tyson is making me ill. What a scum bag. Yeah, he is only playing the game ... but I still don't like him! Coach looks a little worried, like he has lost the leadership role he thought he had.

Knowing how it ends makes all this sneaky talk and back stabbing very interesting. It can go on for another week now!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I don't like Tyson or Coach I can hardly wait for them to be GONE I hope things flip more for next week.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hello All -- I got in too late to watch tonight and just now saw it on TIVO. Boy, what a great ep was building... and then.... everyone got the wind let out of their evil plans.

The good thing was that they could explain away their reactions to feeling bad about the guy who had to leave.

One more Survivor gets plucked out of the race for a million by mother nature. I'm surprised they didn't have the medics look at it before Jeff mentioned it. I know they are out on an island but they have about 10,000 production people around them at all times too... Hoping he heals up just fine.

We got Full blown Tyson in all his imagined glory tonight didn't we. I see why he and coach are buds. I haven't really noticed him before and so for a little while I was kind of amused by him, thinking he was joking. I loved how there were several people congratulating themselves that they were leading this plan, the key person, the head of the dragon!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Well, my boy Brendan survived thanks to Joe's misfortune. I really hope somehow he can flip things around & get rid of Coach or Tyson next week. Those two are just too full of themselves for me. "Arrogant" sums them up well.

I really liked the Exile Island alliance & hope Steven & JT will stick with Brendan, Taj & Sierra. I just find them much more likeable.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Well I am sorry I just got on to comment.....
Jackie, Im so sorry about your "good" knee. Are you off work as well?
Coach is disgusting, and toss Tyson in that bag together....I want Taj, Brendan,Sierra and Steven to stay in alliance...Steve will backstab anyone wont he?
Hey Laurie.....whip me up a drink tomorrow ok?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Good write up on TV Squad, Jackie! My WV is ackbo - sounds like something I want to do when Coach is on screen.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Joe was my guy in the Survivor Pool. I was sorry to see him go due to a medical emergency.

To be honest I have not been an enthusiastic Joe supporter. I didn't dislike him as much as I dislike Coach and Tyson but he made some chauvinistic and sexist comments about Erinn and Sydney that rubbed me the wrong way.

I will now cheer for JT and Taj.

Going off topic for a minute, did anyone else watch Harper's Island? It was ok to me,not great, but still interesting.
It reminded me of an Agatha Christy type story where there are lots of characters invovled and they are slowly but surely being murdered off.
The young girl is creepy and disturbing to me.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Zoetawny --- Are you reading? How are you?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Well, poor Joe had an infection. Don't those guys know by now that the medical team is gonna pull you if you have something that bad? Because of Joe's injury, we've lost Lynn1 & Nana in the NW.

    Until next week...

Bejamin "Coach" Wade - Terry in CA & Gayle
Brendan Synnott - Jennasmom & Jodie
Debra "Debbie" Beebee - Becky & Petals
Erinn Lobdell - Dixie & Zoetawny
James "JT" Thomas Jr. - Margo & Donna in FL
Sierra Reed - Meb & Rozee
Stephen Fishbach - Caroline & SueGee
    Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George - Jackie & Delee
Tyson Apostol - ORKMommy & Barbwire

Joe Dowdle - Lynn1 & Nana in the NW
Sydney Wheeler - Sydney & Leslie
Spencer Duhm - dla & KarenJC
Sandy Burgin - Joyce & Nomad
Jerry Sims - Rbennie & Karen
Candace Smith - PDX Granny & Sizzie
Carolina Eastwood - Laurie & Donna in AL

  55. Tyson's lastname is Apostal? HAHAHAHa I love that. I know it is not a popular choice, but I think he is so funny!!! (Also, the way he looks reminds me of my grandfather I have never met because he died young before I was born.)
Anyway, I think he is real funny.
Though I must say, face to face, he would probably intimidate me. I also really like the exile island foursome as far as personality wise. I hope their trick works.
