  2. Here we go.... I have hot wings and spinach artichoke dip. And, of course some beers in the cooler. Everyone help themselves.

    Go Villians! :)

    ReplyDelete
  3. I'm rooting for Parv and Sandra. Since Sandra is my pool pick, I'm rooting more for her.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hi Joy and Lisanne. I think Sandra has a good shot at this tonight. I like this recap. Finally one worth watching.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I've got devil's food cupcakes with 7 minute icing for dessert.

    ReplyDelete
  6. ABR -- Anybody but Russell.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I brought some cold beer and guacamole! Anyone got some chips?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Russ is in a really pissy mood, isn't he?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Not going to be able to stay long - these east coast times do not work well with Sunday dinner....

    Sue on the left coast

    ReplyDelete
  10. Boy, Russell has really come undone this season. I think back to back has hurt him.

Cupcakes with icing sounds great. Thanks!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Lovr your avatar SueGee. Brought lots of cupcakes, will save you some.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Where's Laurie with her Lime chips when we need her. The guacamole sounds good.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Sorry Becky & e'one - but I am rooting for Russell.

    ReplyDelete
  14. there wasnt any gross food to eat this time round, was there?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Colby has already lasted longer than he did the last endurance challenge.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Petals, I still root for Russell too. I don't think this jury would vote for him, but I would, and did for the fan fav. :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. joyN..7 minute frosting is my favorite ! I am headed in for the TV, have missed the beginning.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Go Parv. She will be hard to beat tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Methinks Colby is a goner. The last of the heroes.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Bye, bye, Colby. At least he seemed to try and win this challange.

I hope they know that they better get rid of Russell. Colby is really no threat. He was so great during his season and good during the All Stars. This year he has been pssssft!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Very true. No wonder Rob & co wanted to take her out early.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Becky, I think they all secretly want to take Russell to the end. Who would vote for him?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Colby has more jury votes though.

    ReplyDelete
  24. NO offense to Colby fans, but he was more a ZERO than a hero this season.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Get rid of Sandra (sorry anyone), but Sandra just grrrrrs on me.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Too little, too late Colby. His heart just wasn't in it this season.

    ReplyDelete
  27. SueGee, I have fresh chips from the place down the street. Still hot out of the deep fryer!

I have Colby in the pool but I really don't want him to win. I'm joining the Women's Alliance!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Petals, I know what you mean. Evil Russell has grrrrd on me all season and the last one too. LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  29. OMG Rupert is wearing a tie-dyed shirt.

    ;P

    ReplyDelete
  30. Go Villians! Colby... the last hero standing. I think there's a reason they drug him along this season and that is - he didn't even play.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Colby was destined to win his first season and practically gave it to Tina.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The part I always hate is coming up. The torches that were snuffed down memory lane.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Boring part - when they have to "honor" the other players.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Here come the fallin comrads. A lot of people hate this, but I like it. I'm a dork that way. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  35. There was Sugar showing her b's and birdies again. That was a funny scene in the beginning of the game.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Randy...haha. Forgot about Randy.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Randy - "stupider"? Who is the real idiot? haha

    ReplyDelete
  38. Colby only outlasted the other heroes because he was never much of a threat.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I like that part too. But then I also like trips down memory lane on occasion too.

    ReplyDelete
  40. There are always players that go out early that I forget about - but then again I'm old(er) ROFL

Sue (back from dinner and ready for a cupcake)

    ReplyDelete
  41. I hope Jerri wins the Fav $$, but I bet she won't. It'll be Rupert again, or poor Colby. Jerri has been trhu so much $hit, treated so badly by the industry and the public, yet she still stands.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Petals - Jerri has been campaigning hard on Facebook and even had instructions how to vote if you were out of the country! Maybe it will help her. I sure liked her much more this season.

    Sue

    ReplyDelete
  43. SueG ~ really? I didnt know they could campaign. Aww.. poor jerri.

    ReplyDelete
  44. This is funny. I like the maze.

    ReplyDelete
  45. oh now, this is funny...

    ReplyDelete
  46. I was screaming like a goon! That was awesome, like Silence of the Lambs or something.!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Russell is really BALD!!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Smart move to send Parvati home.
    Take Jerri to the finals.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Okay, who is Russell's biggest threat? Jerri hasn't won, Sandra and Parvati have won. Parv is as evil as he is but a little more smooth. Sandra doesn't have any enemies on the jury.

    Curiouser curiouser.....

    ReplyDelete
  50. Age has helped Jerri's personality. She was horrid during her season and in All Stars. She is my person in the pool, and I do hope she wins over Parviti, Sandra and especially Russell.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I doubt he'll take Jerri, she could get more votes than him. All the jurors dislike Russ.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Really, I don't think it matters who goes with Russell to the jury. He can't win this.

    ReplyDelete
  53. There you go. He's fickle!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Dislike him or not, the man has PLAYED, and played hard. No coattails under his feet, he has lead the pack. I think he deserves something, IMO

    ReplyDelete
  55. Russell has lost his cool a couple of times this season and made bad decisions because of it.

    ReplyDelete
  56. You know Russell is just loving all of this sucking up. He is truly the pimp right now.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Russell won final immunity? Wow! Now who to take. Will he keep his promise ... and how many promises did he make?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Wow! Russell wants to go up against two winners of Survivor. I think that was a mistake!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Poor Jerri. She was so much nicer this time.

I'm still rooting for Sandra but the odds are probably against her.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I hope the jury will reward him, b/c he deserves it.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Ooh, I missed the BB ad! Thanks, Jackie!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Can't wait for BB.

I want Russell to win because I think he is too good to win. He was robbed last season, and I'll maintain that forever.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Oh geesh, sandra is playing the war card.

    ReplyDelete
  64. You said it stupid, ANOTHER million. IE, you don't need it, Sandra. So shuttup and go home with 3rd place (I hope)

    ReplyDelete
  65. Agree MOnty.
    BB, YES!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. yippee!!! Sandra burned his hat!!! KARMA for the socks and water. HAH!!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Coach didn't like that "dragon" reference towards Russell at all. That's HIS title!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Not feeling well enough to sit at computer. Want to keep chatting, but tummy wins. I must recline.
    GO RUSSELL!!!!
    G'nite guys.

    ReplyDelete
  69. This ought to be really interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  70. dayum, I was thinking nothing was on tonight since TAR was done and at 7:55 realized it was the Survivor finale. Did I just miss that lame thing they waste 40 minutes on... where everyone walks past each former players unlit torch to reminisce?

I guess with all stars like this, even that might have been interesting.

Well, I think Russell lost the game when he let Parvarti go with him to the end instead of Jerri.

I was rooting for Jerri to get that final immunity necklace, but I guess it's fitting that Russell got it. He does play with all his heart, and he's rough around the edges, but he does not have the social game parvarti does and she, not he, is the triple threat. Yes she has already won... so maybe that will figure in. Either way, I don't think Sandra is going to get second place and her 100,000 unless everyone hates both Parv and Russell and default to Sandra being second place.

Sandra did make a good point that she got there by herself, espec, after Courtney was gone. But I'm still not impressed with her game.
Russell's speech certainly was better this time than last. Apology was good, even if few believed him.

Parv opened complimenting all of the jury.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Blah, blah, blah... Coach... go sit down!

    ReplyDelete
  72. interesting statement from Coach

    ReplyDelete
  73. Lisanne, I just read your opening comment. lol

    ReplyDelete
  74. SueGee,pass the guac please. I need to eat when nervous!!!

    ReplyDelete
  75. dying here....now I want Sandra t win, just so the other two dont

    ReplyDelete
  76. Here's another jury of All-Stars that will vote like a bunch of Bitter Betty's. UGH!!

    Amber 2.0

    ReplyDelete
  77. Russell always seems surprised to hear what jurors have to say.

    ReplyDelete
  78. GOD Colby is so cute. Too bad he wasn't that impressive this year. And screamed at his brother.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I think Russell knows this is an uphill battle again. He's not a quick learner.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I know it will KILL Russell to not win again. I think he has a better chance this time than last, but maybe if he doesn't it will open his eyes a little and he'll learn something (nah, can't change his spots, he's too committed to them.

And I like Sandra fine but she doesn't deserve to win like the other two in terms of outwit, outplay.

OK, do you all think Parvarti should win again??? She legitimately played a great game, but it irks me that she already won a million. pls answer now that we have a commercial

    ReplyDelete
  81. I feel as if I am watching a re-run of Survivor, I don't see any new comments from members of the bitter jury as seen during Russell season..it's no longer about who actually is sole survivor, it's more of a social game.
Of course unless Russell wins, it's time for viewers to vote who wins so called title.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I think Rupert might have led them to a Sandra vote.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Colby IS good looking. I admire Rupert for apologizing to Sandra for not listening to her. Of the three up there, I hope Sandra wins again.

Sorry, but I can't reward snake like behavior.

    ReplyDelete
  84. It'll be Parv or Sandra...

    I'm guessing Sandra!

    ReplyDelete
  85. I know the odds are against her but I still hope Sandra wins. I want bragging rights, I guess. But I also think she played quietly, mostly trying to keep herself in the game. She succeeded the last time she won. I hope she does it again. Sandra and Parv have won before but I doubt Russell has told them he lost his last season and they may think he has. If Sandra doesn't win then I hope it's Parvati.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Wow, Russell loses once again!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Personally, I give Russell props for owning his actions. The whole jury has actually HELPED Russell at one time or another. They should really own that. Only JT seems to actually be willing to acknowledge it.

And they are all a bunch of whiners and, with the possible exception of Colby and Rupert, they've all told a bunch of lies as they whittled down their own tribes.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I rather see Parvati win than Sandra, although after Rupert's comments it appears Sandra may have won.
Now why would that be a shocker?
    Bitter jury.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Gee, that was the fastest Tribal council ever wasn't it/ No major sweating or drama, not big speeches, drama, remorse...

    ReplyDelete
  90. that's very odd that they sort of showed all those votes...do you think there is a surprise in store?

    ReplyDelete
  91. Yes Jackie, Rupert was certainly leading...

Russell has to know he doesn't have it

    ReplyDelete
  92. Russell just not at all happy.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Russell had to do this series before he knew what the outcome was on the last one! So he really learned no lessons about individual/personal play at all and it showed all season.

Sue (back from watching The Pacific)

    ReplyDelete
  94. Russell must be feeling like the biggest shmuck right now!

    ReplyDelete
  95. oh Russell is pissed. NOT ONE VOTE FOR HIM

    ReplyDelete
  96. really, Parvati deserved it far more than Sandra...

    ReplyDelete
  97. Hard to believe Sandra is now the only 2-time winner...she's not even very likeable.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Yay!!! Sandra won! Russell didn't get a single vote!

    ReplyDelete
  99. I thought Sandra stabbed a whole lot more people than they might realize. She always voted with Russel and Parv....

    ReplyDelete
  100. Sandra probably needs it more than anyone else.

I do feel bad for Russell. I mean, if everyone could respect Richard Hatch why not Russell? RIchard was worse if not as bad, offensive, disrespectful, etc. At least Russell kept his pants on.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Great! Russell did not get a single vote! I do not think it will change him in any way. He is mule headed and will never learn that you can spit on people and then expect them to vote for you.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Seriously...I would have given it to Russell for just owning the game. BUT, I could also embrace a Parvati win. But frigging Sandra...that really leaves me feeling let down at the end of what was a great season...

    ReplyDelete
  103. I so did not want a Sandra win!

    ReplyDelete
  104. I think she is likable and I don't say that because she won. She's definitely more likable than Russell and he dug his own grave two seasons in a row. He's too stubborn to change and that's what lost it for him. Sorry, Joe.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Sydney, Sandra won once before. If she really needs the money, she's not very good at managing her money.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I think the fact that she kept trying to get Russell out and couldn't says alot. She should not have won.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Seriously, Sandra was a totally a coat tail rider.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Woah, I didn't know Sandra has already won Survivor!

    I thought only Parvarti had.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Sidney, Russell only wore those grungy underwear until they gave him the pants.

    ReplyDelete
  110. wait, Parv wond twice???

    LOL

I really need to start drinking coffee again!

    ReplyDelete
  111. that's pretty funny, actually

    ReplyDelete
  112. I have a feeling America wouldn't do what he thinks the jury should do either.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Sandra was wrong there. America does like Russell... me included!

    ReplyDelete
  114. SueGee, that is true. But if the Villians saw how he behaved the first season he would have gone home before Randy. When the machete disappeared he would have been toast. I am glad they burned his hat. Maybe he knows how his tribes felt. Nah, he doesn't.

    Russell is a poor loser.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Actually, I don't thinkn Russell is a poor loser anymore than Parvati. Jeff asks them if Sandra is the best and they both say "no". Russell actually was smiling the whole time.

And didn't Russell win Fan Fav last time? He might again this time. I think America isn't bitter unlike the jury.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Okay, just this one time....

I WON THE POOL...!!! Finally I won one of these!

    ReplyDelete
  117. Joy, I agree with you. I don't thing the majority of America believes you should reward bullies, no matter how dirty you stoop.

    ReplyDelete
  118. And Russell is right, there is a "flaw" in the game (it's not really a flaw, of course, but by design). By allowing the jury to crown the winner, it biases the jury against "Big Moves" because people resent the Big players. We've had a lot of "weak" winners who were liked. Look at Amber and Rob. I never really liked Rob, but NO WAY did Amber deserve to win that. And Tina vs. Colby all the way back in season 2. And Sandra the first time. And Vecepia...my God, she did nothing but pray the whole season.

    ReplyDelete
  119. From what I've been reading, the majority of commenters in other places were NOT rooting for Russell. They all say his social game sucked worse this time than last season and they mostly hoped he would not win. They were screaming most of the season for someone to vote him out.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Congrats Joy N! You have bragging rights until the next and deservedly so!!!

I still have to agree with the fellow Russell supporters. He will never get the majority of the blog world's admiration, but he is the best I've ever see play this game. He got all of my fan votes, because once again I recognized that he probably couldn't win the vote in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Did they announce Fan Fav yet?

    ReplyDelete
  122. Yay, to Sandra's husband!!! Thank you for your service!

    ReplyDelete
  123. CBS and Probst know who the best player is. That's why he was in every teaser commercial and now getting all the attention in the finale. Sandra what a joke. Parvati should have won before Sandra.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Didn't Russel win Fan Fav last time? So someone likes him...or am I forgetting...

    ReplyDelete
  125. I still have to wait 35 minutes before the show starts here LOL!!

    ReplyDelete
  126. Russell doesn't care about the social game and that's why he had NO chance of winning.

Hope Rob wins the fave player.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Didn't I read somewhere that Russell's wife is in trouble for leaking spoilers??

    ReplyDelete
  128. Tyson looks kind of like Jesus with that hair.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Wow, wow, wow. I voted Eric for dumbest Survivor move. I guess America thought JT was, LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  130. who won the fan favorite?

    ReplyDelete
  131. Really hope that Rob wins this. I like Rob AND Amber and I'd love to see him win the money. If Russ won it last time, I hope he doesn't win again.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Honestly, JT should not have won. Erik's dumb move got him immediately voted out. Tyson actually voted himself out. It should have been one of those two.

JT's move didn't actually get him voted out.

Frankly, isn't it a little insulting that they put Colby in that group? His "dumb move" was staying loyal to his best girl.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I voted for JT and truly believe he deserved it. Who in their right mind would give the enemy an idol?

    ReplyDelete
  134. Rob and Amber's daughter, Lucia Rose, is absolutely beautiful!

    ReplyDelete
  135. I hear you Joy N, but... Erik had an immunity that would put him in F4 and he handed it over to Natalie. That was pure STUPID. JT at least had a plan for his move. Just saying, :)

    ReplyDelete
  136. I'd rather that Rupert had won it.

    ReplyDelete
  137. YES!!! Russell wins it again!

    ReplyDelete
  138. To tell the truth, all five deserved the honor. Even Colby. I never understood why he handed the win to Tina on a silver platter. That was dumb too.

    ReplyDelete
  139. AND... Tina never bought him the motorcycle.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Well, I wish Rupert would have won the money. It would have gone to good again. He is still a winner in my book.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Russell would never get this close again should he decide to, in an all-star season or whatever. EVERYONE knows his gameplay. His goose is cooked.

With his new legal problems (striking a woman in his bar) he may need this money for lawyers. Oh, yeah, wait, he's already a millionaire.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Nicaragua next! Innovative comps? I hope so.

    ReplyDelete
  143. TMZ actually retracted that story. The woman didn't press charges and it was a ruse. That's the last I heard about Russell's bar/pushing a woman down thing.

Looks like a better Survivor next time. New blood and a new location. Yay!

    See you all later. monty

    ReplyDelete
  144. GREAT SEASON! Exciting to the end!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jackie!

    ReplyDelete
  145. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  146. They arrested Boo (another Survivor alum) for grabbing Krista (a BB alum). He and Russ own the bar together. Haven't heard that charges against Russell were dropped and I read TMZ everyday. I saw his mug shot after he was arrested. Maybe I missed it, tho.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Tina NEVER bought Colby the motorcycle JoyN? That's bad!

Thank you Jackie for another great season's worth of community viewing. And thanks to everyone here - it would SO not be as much fun without all of you here each week!

    ReplyDelete
  148. Sorry I missed the comments. I had to miss part of it because we were having tornado warnings and they brought in the weather.

Can't believe Russell didn't even get one vote. And I don't remember him winning the $100,000 last year, but couldn't say who did, so maybe???

Looks like a good next season.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Tina said she wasn't allowed to because of contract rules but she promised him and it seemed she could have found a way. And she must have known the rules before the promise, right?

    ReplyDelete
  150. There is more than one way to play any game--pitcher's duel v hitting game in baseball, offense v defense in almost any sport, heck even in a game like Scrabble you can do well by adding prefixes and suffixes as opposed to a 7 letter word.
Russell played an obvious game, but did not deserve to win. He is too cocky and arrogant.
I agree with Tom--every season, the person who wins derserves it. Just because Sandra was more low key and undercover, doesn't mean she didn't 'play the game.' She played it her way.
Kudos to Sandra. I believe Russell is the biggest sore loser in Survivor history.
Why should America vote? We don't see as much as the jury members do.

    ReplyDelete
  151. GRR - Sandra is a non winner. A non player. Already forgotten.
But Russell won the peoples choice - YEA!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  152. Congrats Joy on winning the pool!Joy and Amy I agree with you. Although I personally don't like Sandra, she played HER game, and it was obviously effective. You can't just ignore one whole side of the game and expect to win and/or be called the best. There are some things Russell does well but that's just not enough to win. It's not a bitter jury, it's the game. Like Jeff said, Russell may be able to win the other games he described, but those are not Survivor. He has absolutely no sense of sportsmanship. I wish anyone else had won the $100k. I think Boston Rob left the game too early to be on people's mind enough to vote for him.

  154. Russell won fan favorite in Season 19 and Season 20. Yay! The guy is the best player in Survivor History but sucks at his social game. I personally liked him and he got robbed in Season 19 and 20.
At least he's $200,000 richer from both games that he played back to back. Not bad for 2 1/2 months work!

Sandra did not deserve a million once again. She floated and she's just as mean. I also think that Rupert was NO hero this year.
He was nasty most of the time and mean. Colby, a waste of space.Just sayin'

They should have asked Lex Van Dem Berghe from Survivor Africa and Survivor Allstars. Rob backstabbed him and I would have loved to have seem that matchup. Lex is a hero. Totally nice guy and a great player. Technically came in second place in Survivor Africa. Remember him? He has all of the tatoos. He saved Amber as a favor to his friend Rob and then Rob backstabbed him! Amber won the million dollars...thanks to Lex.

Colby brought up Lex's name last night on the reunion show. What a mistake it was not bringing him back on this show as a hero. Survivor blew it.

  155. Just watched the Ponderosa clips and saw that Rupert finally saw the light about Sandra while he was there. If he'd only listened, the outcome possibly would have been different. Seems Sandra was the only one who was totally onto Russ from nearly the beginning.

Saying that, I'm still happy that Sandra won. The only two-time champ! She holds the record. Love it.

It's going to be tough to come up with a new season that will be as exciting as this one. No matter what, I'll be waiting to watch again and again.

I do hope they'll skip Russell's participation tho. I don't see him ever 'getting' the reason for his losses. How can someone who's eluded the title of winner two seasons in a row call himself the "greatest survivor"? The greatest would have to win, wouldn't they? He's a "great" player but one with a flaw that he refuses to acknowledge.

  156. Russell, on the Early Show this am proclaimed that he is the best Survivor ever because "all of America" voted him the best player of the game. Sandra reminded Julie that Jeff had said it was a neck and neck vote divided between Russ and Rupert. Rupert apparently got almost as many votes as Russ plus I'm sure there were many votes for others. All of which would mean that Russell didn't get the majority of the votes. Maybe he should rethink having "America" vote instead of the jury.

  157. My fave Survivor won-- YAYYYYYY!!!!

I can't explain why I like Sandra so much but she makes me laugh and I love her plainspoken logic. She is a SMART player-- woohooo!

Sorry I've missed the live Blog Parties...

  158. Oh, and another thing: Russell is too much of a narcissist to realize that he will never win Survivor if everyone on the jury hates him. America votes for him because he's the villain they love to hate. But living and playing with him I'm sure is horrible. He's an abusive bully-- why would anyone want to give him a million?

    JMHO! :-)

  159. Anon 3:31 any relation to Lex perhaps? ;)

Joy, Russell will NEVER get it, or the million! How many times did Jeff practically shake him on the reunion show in front of a live audience and millions on tv? He's the obnoxious kid that won't shut up, because he never grew up. He's still the schoolyard bully, poor baby. I hope we are done with him. What was that name Courtney called him way back? Troll? That's about it.

I'm looking forward to some fresh blood for next season. Bring it on.

  160. Just read that CBS is moving Survivor to Wednesdays next fall!

    That's almost sacrilegious!

  161. I miss Survivor and commenters. Is Ali really all we got?

  162. In Ireland we get shows from the USA a few months after their broadcast in America. I hope this series provides a character as riveting (and annoying !)as Coach from the last series.
