Survivor South Pacific 10/05 Episode Blog Party

Survivor South Pacific

Survivors ready? It's almost time for the show to start here on the East Coast. As it airs, I'll be updating this post with major events. But the real fun and active discussion can be found in the blog party comments. Stop on in and share your thoughts on the show!

The duel -- Christine beat Papa Bear although it was very close.

The Immunity Challenge has three from each tribe bearing weight. Uh-oh ... two men and one woman from each. The reward is a rooster and two hens.

Savaii wins! And Dawn has really redeemed herself by holding onto 140 pounds (guys Brandon and Jim went out earlier loaded with 240) and being the last person standing.

Tribal Council time.

The tally --
Edna
Stacy
Stacy
Stacy
Stacy
Stacy

G'bye Stacy

  1. Welcome home Jackie & 'da girls'.

Ozzy says (via coconut phone) that he misses me, and no to worry, that he will not be voted-out tonight.

    WOOHOOOOO!!!!!!

  8. Baby Joey is once again sacked out by the time Survivor starts, lol. Maybe he'll stay awake by the time finale rolls around ;-) He's adorable as always and almost completely house broken. I think he's a genius, lol!

    Hey Joe

  10. Jackie, love your videos from NC.

Is this music hilarious or what? Little Creepy Hantz is making great TV.

    ReplyDelete
  11. so what are we drinking to? how about every time lil Russell needs to explain himself?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hello everyone.

    Some hammock time for Ozzy!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Brandon talks too DAMN much! He doesn't take after the Hantz side of the family - for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  14. We'll be toasted within the hour if we drink to lil Hantzs' groveling

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi Petals, I'm sure Ozzy was just 'relaxing'!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Jackie - there are your buddies!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hey Ed... here comes the Papa Bear duel with Christine :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ed, Ozzy was laying there first...I trust him. LOL mmm

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hi Monty,

    I'm almost house-broken also.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I can do toasted, lol. I have my bottle of wine within reach for the DRINK moments.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hi Monty, Yeah Christine my pool pick is going to have to have a lot of redemption wins to get back in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I gotta go with Christine in this duel. She adds spice.

    ReplyDelete
  23. DRINK... he just keeps talking and talking and talking

    ReplyDelete
  24. This might take 7 hours with these 2. LOL. I say Papa Bear doesn't have a chance.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Christine lives! I'll just have to keep Whitney on hold.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hey, everyone. Glad to see the group tonight. We missed you last Sunday.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I guess you get fruity drinks on RI now... hmmm

    ReplyDelete
  28. H'lo Becky... I can't usually do Sunday nights unless TAR runs really late.

    ReplyDelete
  29. these sunset pix got NOTHIN on the shots you took, Miss Jackie.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I like this mix of people from different backgrounds & ages

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well, have now lost my pool picks in both survivor and the race. Who will I cheer for now? arghhhh

    ReplyDelete
  32. But these girs are so catty.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I can barely concentrate. This is like watching Goran Ivanisevic play.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I don't get why everyone loves Ozzy so much. He has that entitled attitude and expects everyone to fawn all over him and do what he says. Anybody following him is a sheep who deserves to lose.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Always liked this challenge. I think spreading it around is a good idea. Fatigue becomes a factor for everyone. If you try to overload one person and they don't go early you're screwed.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Stacy is going to screw her back up if she keeps that stance.

    ReplyDelete
  37. ORK, I'm with you. I've never liked Ozzy because he strikes me as an arrogant pretty boy.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ork - Ozzy is beautiful! bah-ah-ah

    ReplyDelete
  39. joey, baby - You know I love you, too.

    ReplyDelete
  40. damn, brandon is impressive

  42. I have to give it to Creepy Hantz... he did great with that!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Dawn is in better shape. Bent over like that won't last for long.

    ReplyDelete
  44. OOps meant to say, who you rooting for Ork Mommy.

    ReplyDelete
  45. this makes MY back hurt!

    ReplyDelete
  46. oh no...I hate it when they get chickens :(

    ReplyDelete
  47. I will miss the next TAR and Survivor. I am getting a little R&R for a few days. I am hoping to be able to use DD's laptop, I have had trouble using the keyboard before.

Good Ozzy is safe this week.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Good for Dawn! And, she's the oldest of the group!

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  49. no surprise there. They spent so much time all week trying to convince us there was a movement against Ozzy...of course they are safe! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  50. monty, we need to drink just for drinking's sake, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  51. (Joe, Ozzy had already coco-phoned me that he was not going anywhere this week)

    ReplyDelete
  52. They can't vote Stacy out now. They'll look like a bunch of losers if they do. She hung in there for a long time.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Edna sems to be getting on everyones nerves. my pool pick could be in trouble.
    Glenn

    ReplyDelete
  54. That was amazing by Little Creepy Hantz. I mean he's not that big a guy.

Of course you always have to wonder whether showing your mettle in a comp actually works against you. The thing that has always bothered me about Survivor is that it tends to be a battle of the weakest because they always target the strongest first. Remember that Navy Pilot who was single-handedly keeping his tribe going and he was like the 2nd one voted out by his tribe.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'm game for that, Petals! bwahaha

    ReplyDelete
  56. Ozzy is pretty but he knows it and that is not attractive at all! I'm not really rooting for anyone yet but I do like Cochran. I think he's a lot smarter than anyone gives him credit for and I love the geeks!

    ReplyDelete
  57. since they tried to make it look like Edna, it's probably not. LOL

If it were me, I think I would boot her. She's not that strong and she's socially awkward. You can build a consensus around her that won't disrupt the tribe much.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Ork, I like Cochrane too. He is cool.

    ReplyDelete
  59. My girl Edna could be in trouble - ut oh

    ReplyDelete
  60. Please vote Coach out! He's no less annoying the second time around!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Cochran is VERY smart. A lot of times smart ones have trouble with the social game. He has a great sense of humor, though.

    ReplyDelete
  62. and Christine would eat Edna for breakfast at the next Redemption.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Coach is not going anywhere this week...I kinda like him, he's mellowed.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I like Edna. I hope she is not voted out. She at least has a good attitude. A few of the other girls have crappy attitudes and are so damn catty.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  65. You're right, Petal, Coach has mellowed. Stacey doesn't want to leave so she's starting something. You tell him, Coach. Stacey is scrambling.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  66. oh no...they wanna vote-out Stacey??

    ReplyDelete
  67. Oh, no, I DISAGREE with ORK!!! LOL. Coach isn't annoying me at all this time. Of course, he's also not entertaining me much at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Sophie is one to watch...she is smart and stays quiet...I like her.

    ReplyDelete
  69. dang Jeff! Stirring the pot!!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Okay, Brandon - keep it together and don't be stupid.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  71. but more power to lil Hantz - proud of his family, as he should be.

    ReplyDelete
  72. He cries like Rachel - the Johnson & Johnson cry - "no tears"

    ReplyDelete
  73. I'm sorry, but that's just odd by Creepy Hantz...

He's just emotionally unstable. I don't buy the whole reclaiming the family name. If he were, why would he try to hide the family name? Why would he try to boot the woman for being a "temptation"?

    ReplyDelete
  74. love this time, these 60minutes, but this week was so...lacking. you know....my baby.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I can't believe that they voted Stacey out.

    ReplyDelete
  76. It's kind of sad. Stacy actually did well today. But I'd rather have her instead of Edna.

She's quite mad. Can't blame her, she did do well today.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  77. RI duel next week between allies.... interesting!

    ReplyDelete
  78. no effing way! Stacey???? she will give Christine a run for the Redemption money.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Good for Coach for ferreting out Stacy's lie. Not sure she's the one I would have voted out, but she wasn't close enough to anyone in the game to matter in the long run.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Stacey vs Christine next week. I'm afraid sooner or later the law of averages is going to catch up to my 'girl' Christine

    ReplyDelete
  81. Good show tonight. Lil Creepy's tears and confessions will have to be our standard DRINK at least for the time being. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Coach seems more intent on playing the game this time around rather than being a character.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Coach is not the jerk he was the previous two appearances, and (sorry, Petals) he is playing a better game that Cutie Pie.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Or every time Coach scolds him, LOL

    ReplyDelete
  85. Joe, I think Brandon targets the women because look who his Uncle trusted.

Whereas Russell ALWAYS picked women to go to the end with; Brandon does not want to do that.

I can't blame him, since women have beaten the Hantz men each time.

The problem is, Russell picked the women because he looked at them as weak. Brandon would rather not even bother with them.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  86. EWWW... We'll need stiff drinks next week!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Becky - s'ok. My baby has already gotten an idol, so he doesnt need to play "as hard". They have both matured as players. I love this season.

    ReplyDelete
  88. W. T. F. is that? I need to ask my baby...

    ReplyDelete
  89. That's a nasty challenge. Yuck. Gross.

    Penny

    ReplyDelete
  90. Penny,

I don't think Russell picked the woman because they were weak necessarily. He felt he could trust them, in part because he thought he was smarter than them. But if you look at he and Parvati, that was a real partnership. They were two strong individuals fighting side by side and with each other.

I know Russell got the sexist edit. But I think his relationship with Parvati proves he's really not.

  91. I like Coach and liked him the other seasons for different reasons. He was an odd duck when we first saw him and made for great blog chatter. I agree that he's playing better this time around. I'm rooting for him and have been since the first week. I doubt he'll win, but I like rooting for the underdogs. :) Off to my other Wednesday night love - Harry's Law

    ReplyDelete
  92. Petals,

I kind of disagree on Ozzy. I think he's playing the same way he always has. He relies on the fact that (in his mind) he's better than every one and they'll want to keep him around. Personally, Jim is one person away from being able to vote Ozzy out.

    ReplyDelete
  93. See you guys when I get back. Behave!!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Petals, remember when he was voted out with two II in his pocket?

I like Ozzy, but can't say much for his game this time.

    ReplyDelete
  95. This is a great season, alot better than the Rob/Russell reunion.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Becky, wasn't it James that had 2 in his pocket?

    ReplyDelete
  97. It was James who had two HI idols and went packing. Ozzy was cocky and didn't play the idol when he had it.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I'm liking Coach this season -- and I grew to like Rachel on BB. Oh, my!
